How did they do it?
"Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Man movie since 2"

They didn't.
Lol no, Spider-Verse is way better than FFH
>I drink so'y lattes for breakfest
Fuck off MCUck shill. Stop clogging this board
FFH is in no way as funny as it thinks it is.
Based Marvel knows what they're doing
based filter going over this jabroni
>There are people who think Spiderverse is as good as 2
This new suit is pretty rad.
Both movies shit on Peter's character really hard but let's look at their merits
>Spider-Verse merits
>"m-m-m-m-muh it looks pretty!!!!"
>Far From Home merits
>kinoest adaptation of Mysterio imaginable
The winner is clear
It is
It's better
kys
Didn’t care for Peter but loved Mysterio, so tough choice.
>I'm not biased
Watching purist Spider-fags slowly loose their sanity is great to see.
I just watch both recently. Spiderverse again on Netflix.
Feels good seeing Mysterio and Prowler done good. (I'm referring to ultimate Prowler, since it's Miles Uncle)
Based on what criteria?
The newest movie is always the best one until the next new one comes out. Learn2consumerism.
But all Spider-Man movies since 2 were criticized for being awful
>loose
Seeing ESL subhumans exposing themselves is even better.
>LOOK MOM I POINTED OUT HIS GRAMMAR FLAWS!!
Truly grasping at straws, Wow I fucked up my wording, Nice one retard.
Kill yourself
Best description of the film I've seen
>Spider-Verse merits
>"m-m-m-m-muh it looks pretty!!!!"
You’re right, it looks amazing. It takes a minute to get used to, but after that pretty much every single frame is wallpaper quality.
>Far From Home merits
>kinoest adaptation of Mysterio imaginable
Mysterio is awesome, 2nd best MCU villain. Unlike most MCU villains, he actually leaves a massive impact on the main character and world as a whole.
>Both movies shit on Peter’s character really hard
If Spider-Verse and the MCU copy-and-pasted Raimi’s Spider-Man you would still be shitting on it.
mysterio.
Here's the thing: They didn't.
Spider-Man Far from Home isn't even the best MCU Spider-Man Film.
Pretty film does not equal a good film, or better yet, a good Spider-Man film.
You can't just copy-paste the Raimi Peter into these movies, their core concepts revolve around downplaying Peter in favor of Miles and Tony. However you could realistically adapt the Far From Home plot into a good standalone Spider-Man movie, whereas Spider-Verse's whole reason for existence is downplaying Peter.
>5 fps
Spiderverse is not pretty.
>Spider-Verse downplays peter.
Spider-Verse had an excellent Peter story what are you talking about?
He was a side character and won't be in the sequels at all, and the movie's plot is a direct adaptation and combination of the two worst and most controversial Spider-Man stories in recent time precisely because they downplay Peter.
It's way better
He was in the main cast, who cares if he's in the sequels. Peter dying is part of Miles' origin story, there's not Miles without Peter and even in the movie where they kill him off they gave him a good, respectful story on top of it.
Faggot. FFH is shit
So you literally agree with me that it downplayed Peter because "that's what the story is"
Imagine spiderverse Mysterio
It didn't "downplay" him in any capacity. Peter's role was far greater than was necessary and the movie was great for it.
Marvel farms audience goodwill.
one of the reasons Spider-Verse got so much good reception is because it wasn't another ASM movie.
But Spider-Verse wasn't about OMD.
>movie downplays peter
>movie literally has two peters
Pick one idiot.
Two peters who both have great arcs, no less
The illusion scene in FFH worked much better in live action than it could in animation, there was a grounded default that juxtaposed against it perfectly. Spider-Verse being trippy by default would mean that any illusions wouldn't feel special, plus there's the usual suspension of disbelief that comes with animation which makes crazy stuff less impactful.
The reason spiderverse got so much good reception was because it was good as fuck and did circles around 90% of spiderman movies.
If any Spidey flick was coasting on the negative reaction to the ASM movies it was Homecoming. Not to say homecoming isn't good, it's fine.
Here's a useful metric for determining how much a story is downplaying Peter: it's directly related to the amount of Peters it kills off
2 Peter - 1 Peter = 1 Peter you dumb fuck. Peter is present in the film for the majority of its running time and has a bigger more complete arc than anyone except Miles because it's Miles' movie.
>it was good as fuck
I wouldn't call it good just because the animation style looked original, a lot more goes into a movie's overall quality, I think it was the goodwill of the fans who've been wanting big budget animation feature films of superheroes for a long time now
So you literally admit it's not Peter's movie and you're still calling it a good Spider-Man movie that doesn't downplay him
>I wouldn't call it good just because the animation style looked original
I'm not, pretty much everything about the movie is good beyond it having a weak poorly motivated villain (par for the course).
>pretty much everything about the movie is good
But not really
It's a Miles' Spiderman movie. It is obviously not a Peter movie so it is not "downplaying" him, It'd be like you arguing that Thor Ragnarok downplays the Hulk.
If anything it inflates his importance by making him a mythic figure that both Miles AND a second Peter aspire to be like and then bringing him back to life to train Miles.
Oh, you're wrong.
>It's a Miles' Spiderman movie.
No such thing, it's just a Miles movie which was the original point
This doesn't mean anything.
The original argument was that, while FFH downplays Peter, it could still be made into a story that focuses on him if it was implemented outside of the MCU, meanwhile since Spider-Verse is not a Spider-Man movie at all, there's no way to adapt it into something Peter-focused like you couldn't turn Ragnarok into a Hulk-focused story.
Spider-Verse at its core is a coming of age/boy grows up story, it doesn't even have the biggest themes of the Spider-Man character like in Homecoming and FFH. namely Peter having to give up everything good in his life due to his own sense of responsibility.
hell, Spider-Verse can be considered borderline insulting to the Spider-Man mythos by having hobo Peter telling Miles not to say his uncle's famous words. also he never had a bat cave.
The move is not called PETER PARKER: SPIDERMAN INTO THE SPIDERVERSE so I don't really know what you're trying to get at here.
Miles is a Spider-Man, it is his movie thus it is a Spider-Man movie. FFH is ostensibly a Peter story, but ISV never makes such a claim. Despite that Peter plays a major role in the film, it "up-plays" his level of importance in Miles' origin by having him be present throughout all of it.
Spiderverse is remarkable, since it is a comic cartoon that was good enough to show at the theatres. I cant remember any other comic cartoon which was deemed gud enuf to avoid the DTV fate. Although sometimes I wish they dropped Suicide Squad and just quadrupled Attack on Arkham budget.
But ultimately, it will fade away. Raimis SM is still talked about decades later. Garfield's SM is forgotten already, MCU SM will be diluted by the massive narrative and intertextuality.
Spiderverse has hope, but so far it is not clear, why ppl like it. If it is just ' wow such animation!' it will be forgotten. Needs some more movies to see if character development is ok, but I already see some red flags, since Miles has a functional family, possibly a GF who'd understand him and is overall happy to be a SM. SM needs to suffer to be a legit SM. No suffering turns it into generic capeshit
fpbp
>Miles is a Spider-Man, it is his movie thus it is a Spider-Man movie.
Just because you say it doesn't mean it's true, if someone made a movie about female Thor/Jane Foster it wouldn't be a Thor movie regardless of what the title said.
There are dozens of spider-men in comics continuity get over it.
Are you so autistic that you thought the Spider-Man the title referred to in the Miles Morales movie was going to be Peter Parker lol
Try working on your reading comprehension
Read it just fine, if you cannot infer that the title "Spider-Man" could refer to someone other than Peter Parker in a movie full of Spider-Men maybe you need to consider that you're too stupid to understand a simple children's film lol
Really focus this time, try your best I know you can do it
Mysterio was magnificent.
But the first half of the movie is fucking tiring.
Spider-Verse is magnificent, from the first second to the last one.
Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man movie, from the beginning to the end.
Every single Spider-Man movie have a good scene innit. Even the worse ones.
I liked FFH Peter better than Miles, and Beck was a way better villain than small head Kingpin.
However I think Spider-Verse is a pretty flawless movie, the pacing is excellent and I felt like FFH dragged a little at times.
On the "being an spider-man adaptation" criteria.
FPBP
They made Mysterio into an Iron Man villain lmao
We all comprehended perfectly well that you are mentally deficient.
ya worked?
ya seethe?
ya fume?
ya ding-dong diddly boil?
That's some pretty weak b8, m8.
Getting ready to go and see it with a friend of mine who I also saw Into the Spiderverse with, I’ll let you know how it was during the credits
Spiderverse shits all over it though, only people who think otherwise or unironic pol browsers
I don't know how but they managed, I was so happy being a spider-man since I was born for so long and all the stuff he's getting lately it's just amazing, if this continues Spider-Man could very well be the new Superman or Batman.
The mid to late 2010s and hopefully the 2020s were so good to be a spider-man fan in almost every medium.
K, turd
On every criteria.
For fuck's sake, it has a better MJ and she's barely in the movie.
reminds people the only good thing about spider man is his youthfulness (innocence, naivety, heart and all). and despite the success of insomniacs game and spiderverse no one actually cares about an old as fuck tired dead end job spiderman or a nigger kid following in his footsteps
Just saw it, it was fucking great, I can’t believe how fucking great Mysterio was.

>Every single Spider-Man movie have a good scene innit. Even the worse ones.
This desu.
Even ASM2 has that scene in the beginning of Peter just swinging around saving plutonium or whatever from Paul Giamotti.
SPIDER-VERSE shits on PETER'S CHARACTER? Are you kidding me? The best most accurate fucking portrayal of Peter Parker on film TO DATE SHITS ON PETER'S CHARACTER??
>He was a side character
Peni, Noir, and Spider-Ham were side characters. Miles's dad was a side character. Peter is the second most important character in the movie, Spider-Verse is almost about him as much as it is about Miles.
>meanwhile since Spider-Verse is not a Spider-Man movie at all
HIS FUCKING UNCLE DIED.
Does that green shit mysterio shoots actually do anything, or is it just a hologram that only 'works' on the Elementals?
Yeah, the change in screenwriters hurt the dialogue really fucking bad. FFH is like an inversion of Homecoming. While that movie was a terrible Spider-Man film, but a pretty funny high school comedy, everything to do with the kids in FFH clogs the screentime and saps the energy from a unexpectedly alright superhero movie in the other half. Not-Ganke was the only consistently entertaining comedic character in the whole movie.
Shazam wipes its ass with both Homecoming and Far From Home on both counts.
>kinoest
Die horribly and painfully.
>The mid to late 2010s
Hell no. Stuff started turning around only in the last couple of years and especially the last one. The only choices in the second half of the decade were post-Superior Slott, the MCU Spider-Man and those awful Disney cartoons. Venom was in the Bendis phase and then under Costa, Kaine was cancelled, Ben Reilly got shat on, Black Cat got shat on etc. Things started turning for the better only with Zdarsky and then last year with the game, ItVS and Spencer.
One exceptionally good year doesn't change that 10's might be Spidey's worst decade yet.
you were so close until the end how do you even have both of those opinions at the same time
Not even close, Sony shills pls go
I watched FFH yesterday morning then SV right after and thought SV was better
Feels real Yea Forums in here
>criticising a mediocre film is Yea Forums
You guys still hating on spiderverse because it stars a black person?
It could've been Ultimate Peter instead of Miles and my opinion would've been the same, it's not that good of a movie

well thats completely wrong considering FFH isnt even a Spider-man movie
Power Ranking the Spidey Films, official ranking of truth:

2.Spider-Man 2
3.Spider-Man: Far From Home
4.Spider-Man
5.Spider-Man: Homecoming
6. Spider-Man 3
Amazing Power-Gap
900001: Amazing Spider-Man
900001: Amazing Spider-Man 2
Every complaint I have with Spider-Verse, I also have with Batman Ninja, tell me how that's racist again
i have yet to see why the ASM movies are worse than the MCU movies
both are the same quality of forgetable summer blockbusters, and both have the same problem of tying all of Spidey's lore to one source ( ASM= Oscorp and MCU=Stark)
If the criteria for what constitutes a Spider-Man movie is "Spider-Man appeared in it in any capacity" then the best Spider-Man movie is Infinity War
>Infinity War
>good
MCU Vulture and Mysterio are some of the best depictions of Spider-Man villains ever, top 5 even if you count the comics
Sure they're linked to Tony like Peter is, but that's a meta-narrative aspect we just have to accept, blame Marvel for selling the rights to Sony two decades ago
Not good, just better than every other piece of filmed media that involved Spider-Man
>muh Tony
>muh MJ
>muh Vacation
Literally the whole fucking movie. Peter in the MCU is a whiny bitch who never man's the fuck up.
>purple alien goes around the universe collecting magic rocks while various heroes take turns quipping and punching cgi monsters for three hours
>better than Spider-Man 2 and Into the Spider-Verse, which are actual movies
>waah why doesn't a 16 year old kid man up
Retard, Tobey's Peter was even whinier and he was supposed to be college-aged
wrong and same fagging sjw bendis
*blocks your path*
Nothing personnel kid.
Yeah, imagine how bad those two have to be for the purple rock collecting alien to beat them both by several orders of magnitude
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Peter was forced to become a man from the moment his Uncle died
do any of you retards even read comics?
Tobey's was whiny in SM1 before Uncle Ben's death and he suffered actual consequences. Consequences that made him learn his mistakes and build himself to become a true hero. MCU Peter learned jack shit and at the end everything's fine. Like nothing happened.
Don’t get the hype Spiderverse gets. Just watched it on Netflix a couple days ago and it average st best.
Still shits on all of the MCU Spidey and TASM movies.
>Nignog Spider-Man who criminally spray paints city property and only exists due to Michael "let's cram social justice into everything" Bendis.
Best since 2? Yeah, no.
He was whiny in all three movies dude, ironically the only time he wasn't was the controversial black suit scene
The scene with the bell tower in this Venice fight was a good example. Clearly intended for laughs in the middle of a big fight but it fucking overstayed its welcome, okay I got one chuckle out of it but you don't need to turn it into slapstick comedy
>Tobey's Peter had to take care of his aunt after Uncle Ben died
>he had to get a job
>he had to get a second job to pay for college delivering pizzas
>he got a rundown apartment in Manhatten
>is always late on payment because hes fucking broke
>had to sell Uncle Bens car to make ends meet
>has to compromise on buying MJ a fucking engagement ring

lolwut

>>kinoest adaptation of Mysterio imaginable
haha no
Raimi would have done a perfect Mysterio
>muh half a cenutry of rehashed stories
Given the circumstances of Spider-Man movie rights, they handled the late inclusion surprisingly well, and it even resulted in some refreshing takes on the character, such as him just wanting to continue his vacation
He’d make him a fatty jobber with an illusion scene nowhere as good
Based on what? Four of the five villains he adapted were kinda shit and he'd be severely limited by the available VFX/SFX
>Four of the five villains he adapted were kinda shit
lol
Sandman in the worst Spider-man movie still has a better scene than all of the MCU Spidey villians
youtube.com
i hope this is some top tier b8
It’s generally agreed upon that this is the best scene of the movie anyway lol.
>and he'd be severely limited by the available VFX/SFX
this is Sam fucking Raimi you are talking about? he would have used actual practical effects for the illusions instead of just more CGI barf
and they'd be correct. Homecoming and FFH are both godawful. Spider-Verse is above average at best.
Get off Feige's dick bro.
Feige made a legit good Mysterio though
>never man's the fuck up
Have you even seen the movie?
>How did they do it?
Marble Magic is real.

Very low energy. Sad.

He manages to ruin Spider-man’s day in all three films. Campbell’s Beck was based as fuck.
Yes, it sucked.

>lmao I know you died and came back last school year but just push your trauma back inside
also, he did man up, once he discovered the illusion he went straight to fury to figure out what to do,and then later goes straight to stopping mysterio from killing his classmates
You know he was just supposed to be in an opening montage of Spidey beating some villains in Spider-man 4 right?
would have agreed with you but then I saw FFH.

only half of the movie was "good". The other was cringey at best.
>(I'm referring to ultimate Prowler, since it's Miles Uncle)
I know they want Miles to have Pete's stuff, but it annoys me that they didn't make an original villain for him. And by that I mean just give his uncle a different villain name.
OK I'm just being unfair about miles. I'm sure he's got his own perfectly fine thing going. I just hate the trend of Marvel reinventing everything.
Without Raimi you wouldn't have the MCU. Put some respect on it.
The whole movie is basically "A Disney Channel Original Movie" with a budget.
>Jake Gyllenhaal talking to the camera about how you have to do capeshit to make people pay attention to your work
That entire sequence was far too self-aware. I didn't think the writers had it in them.

lmao
Yeah there were a LOT of times they stretch a joke, I can feel the audience like forcing their laughs a bit
>Does that green shit mysterio shoots actually do anything
It's all visual effects created by the drones and cameras set up on the scenes before he stages the attacks. Not sure if you noticed but every attack scene before the bridge takes place in an open area surrounded by buildings, no matter where they go. This allows them to properly arrange the setup and create the illusion.
The destruction is created by commanded drones that can fly or go underwater, so they can create waves/explosions underwater and wreckage, hidden by the illusions.
>copy-and-pasted Raimi’s Spider-Man you would still be shitting on it.
When running out of arguments to defend crappy writing, just pull the Raimi card!
>because it stars a black person?
It only won an oscar because it stars a black person.
What's funny? It's a fake beach in universe too
>do any of you retards even read comics?
Half of the people here are Reddit tourists who only read memes and make fanart. Don’t expect much
That’s what I thought when I came out of the theater. Felt the same way about Star Wars episode 7. They have this tone and style that smells Disney
the fact that a guy who saves the world on a weekly basis winds up growing up to be an ambitionless cog in a machine is what's so infuriating about the whole scenario. so being a superhero is now akin to being a janitor or groundskeeper? a dead end line of work with no future? peter really had no plans or ambitions for his life and fighting crime really amounted to the same routine as yard work or picking up dog poop for the rest of us?
it's in character for him. it's not spiderman without major hardship.
The whole thing was that without May and MJ, he lost his connection of the man part of the Spider-man and ended up with an unhealthy workhero-balance.
It's a parallel arc to Miles learning to embrace the hero side of things.
It's a character arc that allows Peter to still be an interesting character, without shitting on him as a hero.
/thread
Fucking Mysterio now has ties to Iron Man of all people. They’re ruining their own universe.
Why is that a bad thing again
The only good Raimi villain is Doc.
it cheapens his mythos and rogue gallery makes things less personal
How did Spider-Verse not do that again?
things got pretty personal during the movie between the two of them. Also him being a Stark engineer with holograms works better for the MCU is better then I WORK FOR THE MOVIES SO I AM GOOD WITH ILLUSIONS. You guys need to realize that not everything in a comicbook translates well Into a movie.
> him being a Stark engineer with holograms works better for the MCU is better then I WORK FOR THE MOVIES SO I AM GOOD WITH ILLUSIONS
>Stark Engineer
See where the problems lie though? He's a Stark engineer. He could have just been an engineer
Stark in the MCU is to tech what Disney is to media in our world, it's completely realistic that the ridiculously rich guy who jumpstarted tech to alien levels would have some sort of relation to all other advanced types of tech in America. This is actually good worldbuilding, as opposed to introducing entire corporate entities as one-offs that would only raise more questions.
Why does it matter if he worked for Stark industries?
I find your lack of understanding of spiderman to be insulting.
One or two is yes but stark is so connected to everyhing he honestly feels like an inept at the end of the day, everything can be traced back to him and his fuck ups.
>his is actually good worldbuilding, as opposed to introducing entire corporate entities as one-offs that would only raise more questions.
Only If written poorly i honestly feel that stark being responsible for every villain is a stretch of my imagination.
>Why does it matter if he worked for Stark industries?
Why not just make an iron man movie instead?
Mostly because brainlets keep underestimating them desu.
see
...He invented Barf you dumb fuck. That’s literally the explanation
>Spider-Man villain is now a former Stark employees
This is why this MCU shit fails so much. It doesn't let anything in the new Spider-Man stuff stand on its own.
> Haha
> *looks at camera*
> "What's in your wallet?"
Jesus christ, Disney?
Sounds to me like he should have gone after Tony
You dufus that scene is one of the main problems with the movie. Spider-Man cracking jokes and not even trying to stop Rhino as he fucking murders everything on the road.
>some dude going against the richest most tech advanced superhero in the world who's also a founding member of the strongest superhero team in the world
The entire reason they became active as criminals was because Tony died, they knew they stood no chance against him
Stark was out in the fucking boonies without contact from anyone he didn't choose then?
>being such a pleb as to not understand how Infinity War is an actual miracle of pacing and character management
fpbp
it’s much better
>You guys need to realize that not everything in a comicbook translates well Into a movie.
Or maybe by using ideas from the comic, they could push the creative boundaries of the movies into new grounds, instead of playing it safe.

That's not hardship. That's just being a failure at life.

>I was so happy being a spider-man
W-which one are y-you?
Everytime one of these movies comes out it's always better than Spider-Man 2. When Homecumming came out, it was better than Spider-Man 2. When Spider-Verse came out, it was better than Spider-Man 2. When Far from Home came out, it was better than Spider-Man 2. You don't hear about Spider-Verse or Far from Home being better than Homecoming, you just hear they were better than Spider-Man 2. People forget about the last one almost immediately, while people still compare the latest versions to Spider-Man 2, and it will continue to be like this forever.
It would be in clay-mation.
Spider-Man 2 being good is a meme
Goddamn. Spider-Man 2 must be way worse than I remember.
I love Spidey 2, but you're being nostalgia-blind if you think Spider-Verse isn't at least as good.
The impact of the scene falls apart if the audience knows what is real and what isn't
It is so much better
Yeah it is. This board is to discuss two mediums, not film. You want film, go to Yea Forums.
No it's that it's always the one the new version is being compared to, and it will always be. No one will remember ASM or ItSV or MCU Spider-Twink Jr ten years from now, but Spider-Man 2 is still watched and memed a decade after its release.
And only got away with it cause Nick Fury was on vacation and a skrull fucked up. They didn't need to convolute the plot, just make mysterio good at what he does.
It is sad because he is genuinely good actor.
What does Yea Forums have to do with film? It's mostly just whining about sjws and black people
Because of the context in which you are whining in, in which we are talking about a film.
>peter dies
that's fucking dumb
it's pretty bullshit that marvel keeps whacking off its white characters to replace them with diversity hires and wholly transparent.
Bump
Not JUST black, but half-black, half-spic!
It's double the diversity! And he fucks the hot white girl too! And the white man is a lame fat slob! Everyone wins!
Haters are all just racist whiny manbaby gamers.
FFH is not the better movie of the two, Spiderverse is a masterpiece in comparison. But FFH is a fun movie, that does justice to Mysterio, everything else about it is pretty by the numbers.
Miles was a 7 year old character in Marvel at the time he's far from new. It's not shocking Sony decided to reach into canon versions of the character to base movie on since their versions don't sell tickets. Further, they needed to distance themselves from the Holland version of the character to minimize confusion with the MCU. Finally Peter B. was supposed to be the inverse of in universe Peter who was the zenith of what Peter could be. He's lame to give the character depth.
Movie was kinda awesome. I thought spider-verse was good but not nearly as much as most people. It was just ok. And I also think spiderman 2 is the weakest in raimi trilogy. Spider-man 1 is absolutely the best by a mile. Dont know if I like FFH or Homecoming better but I'd say they are equal for me atm
I absolutely loved Far From Home but Spiderverse was still better
Your only shitposting this because DURRR MILES AND GWEN BAD
People who like Miles and Gwen already prefer this movie than the way Bendis originally started them
/Thread
Saw it today and outside Mysterio, it was a pretty disappointing film. All the high school stuff was just too cheesy, Ned became EXTREMELY annoying with his romance plot ("I left a boy but am now a man", GOD, could the writers BE more lazy?!), the competing boyfriend was pointless, Tony Stark now has drones he used to kill people all around the Earth for some reason, Peter who expressed no interests in MJ in the last film starts the film trying to win her, and Iron Man's death really didn't seem to affect Peter that much at all.
What was the film about? Peter overcoming Stark's death? Winning MJ? Getting to hone in his Spider-Sense? It just feels so bizarre that these are the plots yet they never really feel that fleshed out besides the MJ one.
Also some major dropped balls! Tony's death was something Pete was kind of over, the Snap barely did that much to the world and everyone seems to be operating like business as usual, and Aunt May discovering Peter was nothing and lead to the Happy/May plotline that went nowhere. How am I supposed to treat the post credits as this big thing when the writers/directors are so incompetent in building a consistent sequel?!
>absolute chad best friend gets hooked the entire trip by true best girl and ends it for a “experience pairing”
Now I’m mad
Wrong 3 is still better than Far From Homo and the Garfield Spidey movies.
Raimi Spidey 1>2>3>FFF>Amazing Spidey 1>Homo Coming>Amazing Spidey 2
The movie was really good but vulture was still better
I personally prefer how he ended up respecting peter and told scorpion to fuck off
lol
Raimi movies don't hold up
It does, retard.
>Ironboy 2 Eurotrip
>better than either Spider-verse or Spider-man 2
MCUshills are disgusting
They didn't though
It is, 2 got Doc Ock wrong.
What? Doc's a villain, but he's not unredeemably evil-- He even humbly surrendered to spiderman and allowed him to retake his body once he realized how incredible spiderman truly was.
Haha no it’s not better than Spider-Man 2 by a long shot but it was still charming and had some great character moments. Still extremely shallow and teaming of Amy Pascal’s meddling. The mid credits scene was pretty good though.
Ok, so...do you think maybe the Nick Fury scene was added in later after they realized how much they fucked up the characterization or was it always part of the script?
>How am I supposed to treat the post credits as this big thing when the writers/directors are so incompetent in building a consistent sequel?!
You don't. I don't either. Yeah, outside of the cool action sequences...shit's bad.
They made him too tragic and really shouldn't have killed him off.
FPBP
About as good.
Peter was able to overwrite the Iron Spider suit that he got from Tony who had installed a failsafe to shut it down if Peter ever went against him in the comics.
Gwen's Peter dies too you know? Not to mention that Peter turned into what was essentially school shooter.
It’s good but the Peter / Mary Jane romance is dire.
>he thinks Stark would live in the outskirts technology free
His daughter managed to find the Rescue helmet and we saw that he still had a super computer and projector in the house. You don't think he'd set up any kind of defenses?
>Miles was a 7 year old character in Marvel at the time he's far from new. It's not shocking Sony decided to reach into canon versions of the character to base movie on since their versions don't sell tickets.
They could've done the same story with Ultimate Peter, or just made a usual Spider-Man animated film since the TAS series problem was the people in charge, whereas most people working on ITSV were competent.
right, so if mysterio tried to shoot the green stuff at spider-man, it wouldn't do anything, right?
They could have picked one of the Scarlet Spiders or one of the Spider-women.
Yes. The green stuff is all holograms.
Really liked how this movie Spider-Man’a arc, not Peter Parker’s, was learning to trust his Spider-sense. That final hallway moment when everything goes black around him and the sound cuts out was just pure awesome. Imagine seeing that from Beck’s point of view, Peter just maneuvering through and destroying the drones while dodging everything. Fuck I loved that shit, that and their first round when we get some true to form Mysterio mindfuckery
/thread
The Mysterio shooting the green stuff is also a hologram, the real Beck was almost always hidden somewhere, he can't fly
Cringe
Well, it covers up bullets...
