A bit of background: This comic has been around since 1995, with new volumes still being released yearly. Of the 26 volumes released in French, only 5 have been officially published in English.
This is the first volume, Sortilèges, released in 1995. It was never officially released in English, but it was fan translated a few years ago. This is a different translation.
I did this one myself in 2015, back when no other translation existed. I lost motivation over the course of the project, and the final 7 pages were never edited.
I'll post those in French and greentext the translation notes I have. I'll also link to the other translation at the end.
I decided to turn the original author's handwriting into a font, instead of using a standard comic font. In hindsight, it's really hard to read, but it does at least look accurate.
I'm all out of commentary. Here's the rest of the pages!
>I decided to turn the original author's handwriting into a font
That's pretty neat.
>You like cute witches, right?
No, they are heritics. They shall burn at the stake for being witches.
This is pretty neat OP, thanks for sharing.
Don't worry, pastor. You'll get your chance on page 35.
that's clever op. how did you do that?
I cut out individual letters, placed them on a grid, and ran them through a program that generates fonts. I could share it if you want it.
And that's the last edited page. It's all greentext from here on out.
>Whoa, Melusine! You own a grimoire written by the great Tartauraiphore?
>Yeah. It is a gift from aunt Adrazelle.
>Wow! This vanishing spell looks really simple.
>Well, it's not exactly witchcraft.
>Ah! A candle!
>I really want to try it out! Stop me if I make any mistakes.
>And I'd just cleaned the floor...
>Let's see... Next page...
>Hold it!
>The next page describes how to reappear at a specific location...
I like the werewolf character.
>Follow me while I explain your task...
>As it turns out, this castle has blablabla
>Eh! But! Ma'am...
>Acne and rhinitis!
>I won't be passing through walls any time soon!
>However, since they haven't been cleaned...
>Phew! I'm back!
>And a dusty, grimy blablabla
>Oh, nooo!
>...So as you can see, this won't be an exhausting task.
>Really, now? Is the word "exhausting" enough to make you collapse like that?
>Y...Yes, ma'am!
>Good luck.
>Thanks, ma'am.
>Holy moley! She must've gone mad. The old ghost has finally lost her marbles.
>It would take me years to wash all of this!
>...Perhaps not! Oh Merlin! Lend me your magic!
>Bucket, soap, tub, basin, paddle, every utensil!
>Inanimate objects, move it! Work it! Lather! Paddle!
>Keep your spirits up! After the sheets, the draperies, and the clothes...
>And the tapestries, and the towels, the carpets, the hides...
>And the blankets, and the covers, and the pillowcases, and the...
>There's more?
>Holy moley!
>Move it!
>Let's get outta here!
>This is crazy!
>Behold, Mélusine, how cruel the years have been to our valiant ancestor Jean Aymar of Pouryr...
>Years? More like centuries!
>Clean it with respect! It was he who rid the country of the infamous dragon Pyrolator!
>But... This tapestry is infested with vermin!
>This'll need a bit of preparation!
>This will drive out all of those filthy pests!
>To battle! I have no mercy when it comes to ticks! Or tocks!
>It's working!
>The coup de grâce...
>And wham!
>Catastrophe! What have I done now?
>Where... am I?
>Let's see... Which spell would return him to the tapestry?
>Return?
>Not gonna happen, lady! The Pyrolator is back!
>Time to bring the heat!
>Thanks a bunch for everything! Have a nice day!
>That dreadful oaf!
>Hey! What if...
>I've got it!
>Whoa!
>Forgive my impudence, young lady, but...
>I wouldn't want my archenemy to come back and slay me!
>Blackheads and rhinitis!
>There must be another illustration of the knight...
>Onwards!
>Aha! I knew it!
>Ouch! Don't! Please stop hitting me!
>Oops! You seem to be a tad too short!
>What's going on?
>Pyrolator has returned.
>What? To arms!
>Montjoie Saint Denis!
>Don't you think you are...
>A bit...
>Small?
>Winstooon! Save meeeee!
>Whew! All this because of that... tapestry!
>Tapestry?!
>But of course! Brace yourself, Pyrolator!
>There you are! I've got you now!
>Hi! Hi! Hi! Another one bites the dust!
>Hop! Ha! Ha! Ha!
>This situation is about to be unravelled!
>Huh?!
>Gotcha!
>Everything's finally in order!
>My tapestry!
>Oh.
>The red thread goes across the white thread, the white...
And that's all! If you wanna read more Mélusine, another team has done a bunch of translations you can find here:

Have a great weekend, Yea Forums!
Thanks for the story time, kind multilingual user! I appreciate reading such a fun comic! Turning the artist's handwriting into a font was a really nice touch too, good job.
I might as well share the font:
gofile.io
It's a bit unusual. '+' maps to ellipsis, and there are no numbers or lowercase letters.
Now I have a new waifu
Thanks for the storytime! Fun stuff!
thanks user
YOU JUST KNOW
Thanks a lot dude
>chained up like that
Bet she was expecting something else to happen.
Thanks user
I WANNA FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK >:3
>and ran them through a program that generates fonts
Could you just tell me which program you used?
That's actually pretty neat. Thanks.
Your translation seems to be a new one, the scanlation team already translated this book previously.
Nice job with the font, though.
OH MY GOD
many thanks OP
Thanks user, good read. It was a nice change from the usual threads here.
God Bless the Belgians.
I'd love the font if you've got it still!
An excellent touch, my dude.
It was pretty good. Thanks OP
Melusine's original design was adorable.
>imagine
european fantasy comics are the best!
thanks OP. I wish european storytimes would make a return
Ok thank's Crinsby!
thanks user
I don't know who is doing the translation but there is a pun with the name "Jean Aymar de Pouryr", it is an homophone for "J'en ai marre de pourrir", which translates to "I am tired to rot".
D...Did they have a child?
this was not the witch ass I wanted but maybe it was the witch ass I deserved
I just want to thank you for all of the work you put into this OP, this is great.
now that's the ass I wanted
Oh my.
>fresh spoiled prostate
What did she mean by this?
pic from Tome 02 - Halloween
>Halloween
>#2
user... That's not #2.
Wasn't it about the fifth volume originally but renumbered in English as the second?
#8, which Cinebook renamed to #2 because they're faggots. Ironically, the real #2 is Vampires Ball which Cinebook has as #3.
Bless.
I wish splooge would draw more Melusine or some Crapella, but that would require a stealthy influx of Melusine requests in the drawthread, and I really can't be assed to deal with their particular brand of autism
I wouldn't mind LHK drawing more Melusine x Melisande x Crapella smut either.
cool, I know splooge drew 1 more piece of Melusine, granted it wasn't lewd.
