It's not just syndication. It's the same thing as comics. There's a sliding timescale in cartoons without an overarching plot where if you have the character have a kid you have to acknowledge time. There was a thread just the other day complaining Maggie doesn't get older but Apu's kids have.
Comics are worse for it because the next writer decides they hate the character having a kid and yeet them into the sun and/or they come back as adults. Some characters get to get older while others don't. X-23 vs Pixie for example. X was younger than Pixie when she came into comics, now she's 5 years older.
