this. adult swim hasn't done anything interesting since the 2000s largely because everyone copied their formula by trying to make "thoughtfully constructed garbage" with a hint of irony that most people could appreciate sarcastically. now everyone's doing that, especially for free on YouTube since it's cheap, and they haven't shook anything up in years. if they were to make a streaming service and green light actual dramas or even dramedies, they'd be rolling in fat stacks of cash. they hate risk now though. and no tigtone is shit and it's not risky. they need to do more besides give 12 oz mouse a new coat of paint. they need to bring in some new talent that understand the current emotions of the current creative landscape. sincerity is in right now, and if they can tap into that while also making it funny, they're set for another decade. otherwise I don't think anyone is watching anymore

I felt it was OK, but thought the lack of gore and violence was a bit odd considering the guy who made this did fucking SuperJail.
The reveal of "BEEO" made me certain that it was going to get super crazy after episode 1 with characters dying every episode but getting brought back but it stayed relatively tame.
