So he literally won at the end, right?

so he literally won at the end, right?

Yes that was the point.

Great movie

yeah I was thinking about that!
I like this idea of the MCU breaking that mold and ending a movie with the villain winning.

Also, I must say that I'm kinda mad about it, but it fits totally with mysterio that he had that back up plan in case of being "defeated"

also, that after credits scene was a surprised.
I was already spoiled that the skrulls made a small cameo during the movie, but oh boy if they were part of the story.

>>said team still has access to edith
didn't pete take back the glasses at the end?

yes but mysterio still owns the right for it, peter told edith that the new owner/tony will now be mysterio
peter was able to use edith in the end because tony programmed that no matter who owns edith now peter can still use it

Also, I'm like 95% sure he's not dead

You need to verbally give access to the person if you're giving it to someone else.
Beck did not do that.

I hope so. As far as I can tell Spider-Man killed Mysterio by breaking his wrist. That doesn't make any sense. Not only that, but if he's dead then the movie was a waste in setting up the Sinister Six.

he got shot by one of his drones

He had gotten shot by one of the drones earlier. Remember him being in "killing range"?

And i'm sure that pete is smart enough to take those rights back

>All gunshots are fatal
>Mysterio, the fucking actor, didn't just play dead until Peter left
>All Peter did to confirm his "death" was ask EDITH "Is this real?" and all the damn glasses said was "Illusions are off, Peter"
How dumb are you people?

I'm just replying to the guy who thought he "died" by Peter breaking his wrist

He also asks EDITH if he's dead iirc

So you think he just lay there, not moving, and that fooled peter

It's fake. They're building up to a sinister six. Sony obviously wants it and Disney would like to play with Spider-Man for along time. It's anticlimatic to kill him. It's a guess but Phase 4 wouldn't have an Avengers movie so all the characters have to play with themselves for a while.

I kinda hope he's not dead but how can you top Mysterio after this movie? what is he gonna have now? how is Peter going to struggle against him?

I saw a thread yesterday where someone suggested scorpions fear venom messing with the "peter tingle" so that it won't work against mysterios illusions.

NOOOOO
JAKE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE NEW WOLVERINE
NOT LITERALLY WHO SPIDER-MAN VILLAIN #32

Attached: d8250830.jpg (345x348, 33K)

No, all he asked was "Is this real". That's it. EDITH interpreted that as drone holograms being active. Parker is a gullible putz that fell for playing dead.

Jake doesn't need to work out to be Mysterio like he would for Logan

he plays psycho better

Attached: 1562372311009.jpg (564x890, 67K)

Not to mention there was plenty of time for him to switch places with a 'stunt double' that would get killed instead while he got away.

I fucking bet that, since it's Jameson who revealed the identity, only few people will believe it

Mysterio is easily top 5 best MCU villains.

What if Mysterio's huge reputation outweighs that

People will argue about the drones and fury will use his influence to cover it up.

Okay that's a bit of a stretch, user. It's just simple to call it what it is; playing dead. Peter sure as hell ain't a doctor, nor did he bother to check a pulse. Beck probably lied there, his team radioed "Yeah he's gone", got up, and limped away so his crew could patch up his minor bullet wound

>"THEY'LL SEE WHAT I WANT THEM TO SEE"

He is indeed the ultimate trickster, the girl next to me went "Fuck yeah, Fury" when he shot Mysterio and then it turns out that was also an illusion, I also thought "man, that's it?" when that happened but nope

I heard people muttering when that happened, and when he got the glasses and showed his turn the audience was shocked lol

Not to mention he had access to illusion tech before Edith. EDITH just made it easier to do larger scale and more damage. So he easily could have faked his death with an illusion that EDITH didn't have access to.

Was that Mysterio speech setting up Sinister Six?

Mysterio could have just set EDITH to reflect his status as dead as part of his contingency plan

Could Beck be working for Otto?

>Mysterio
>literal who

Motherfucker, Mysterio was one of Spideys greatest villains, along with Doc Ock, Scorpion and the Gobbo. Hell, I think this Mysterio was the best Spidey movie villain we've had in a good while. He felt more like a Raimi villain than an MCU villain. And thats good - Spidey is facing a real threat now.

Am I the only person who thinks Beck's team killed him in the end because he threatened them with death earlier in the film? Basically a "yeah, fuck this guy" moment. I was originally thinking it was Talos that killed him, but after that scene where he points the drones at everyone else when they were rehearsing, I started to think it was them instead.

calm down autist. stop whining like a child who didnt get what they wanted

Did you miss the part where the bald guy downloaded everything and ran?
He's behind it

>said team still has access to edith
no, they don't, only Beck had access besides Peter
dude, a drone shot him in the stomach

>scorpion

Attached: 1477270518315.jpg (1024x576, 160K)

Mysterio lives on as an A.I. with Beck's personality imprinted onto one of Tony's A.I. templates creating a new level of intangibility for the Mysterio villain who can now literally be anywhere.

That would explain the one dude taking the SD card out of the computer.

wasn't it William and wasn't the thing he downloaded onto the SD card the video they sent to Jameson?

>shot in the stomach
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't being shot in the stomach a very slow and painful way to die? Mysterio died pretty quickly if that's the case.

If you watch the computer screen closely it says 50 drones are still active so the bald guy probably got away with those

>got shot in the stomach
>Peter fights off the remaining drones
>Beck starts irl shitposting
>gets up and tries to shoot Peter
>he cuts a promo before dying
it took time but now reading all the posts I'm too start thinking he isn't really dead

Its mysterio there's no way he's dead.

Wasn't the one that got shot also a hologram?

I thought that too but apparently the one who tries to shoot peter was holding his stomach wound

They had already started putting together the "promo" before Beck actually got shot. I bet he pre-recorded that part and his lackeys stitched together the footage. We saw the one "upload" something before leaving, which was the video, moments after.

that we saw

I feel like there was going to be more to the movie about beck not trusting his partners. They were hinting at him being nuts during that whole "bullet in the head" scene. I doubt he would have entrusted the glasses to anyone else and it's not like Peter lost control because he was able to call them off.

>LITERALLY WHO
Read a fucking comic for fuck's sake

The absolute fucking madman!

Attached: Daredevil_v02_007.jpg (1821x2800, 842K)

A bit of a stretch, but we're talking Mysterio here who pulled even more elaborate shit before. Your way works as well though.

GOD DAMN I JUST FUCKING REALIZED IT
THOSE 6 MOTHER FUCKERS ARE GONNA BE THE SINISTER SIX
THAT BALD FAGGOT IS GONNA BE DOC OCK
AND SINCE NORMAN HASN'T BEEN INTRODUCED WE'RE PROBABLY GONNA GET ONE OF THEM AS THE MCU'S GREEN GOBLIN

MOTHER
FUCKER

So are we sure yet if Marvel did all of this just to make it so if Sony refuses to give Marvel more Spidey movies, Sony is forced to retcon out everything people saw because they won't have the rights to half of the film?

have sex

Thats not really a have sex moment though, I was just pointing out that the sinister six will most likely have no build up with former movies and this movie was probably setting them up.

Don't be stupid, Sony and Marvel play ball just fine, MCU Spidey is so loved around normie cinema audiences that they'd be fools to take aebrything back, especially when the deal is as one sided they are always at win/win status. Feige makes them a movie and Sony collects all the money from it, just for the sake of having the character integrated into the MCU crossover films

Norman is coming soon and I doubt Mysterio's SFX crew have any relevance, they didn't get focus

Pretty sure that SD card contains a copy of EDITH (it shows 'Download complete' and it's mentioned a couple of times that bald guy is in the midst of downloading EDITH). Which leads to the unsettling implication that now a bunch of amoral, disgruntled Stark employees are running around with all of the secrets to Tony's tech. Congratulations, Spidey, your fuck up has likely opened up a whole new era of tech based crimes and terrorism for the MCU. You really are a menace!

yes, because MCU of all franchises is the king of "no build up" shit right?

Attached: MrSaxon-MCU-Phase-1[1].jpg (717x1115, 175K)

Vulture alreadyhas beef with Spider-Man and wasn't the guy at the end of Homecoming supposed to be Scorpion?

Yeah that was Scorpion

I fucking hate minimalist art, jesus christ that shit's ugly.

>Spider-Man is totally evil you guys!
>Happy or Fury: No he's not
>Mysterio: Well shit
Like seriously, Nick Fury knows his secret which means all of the other avengers and the government probably know. They can't do much about his secret identity, but they can easily squash this bullshit.

the point is that they made him a "menace" and people will hate him or fear him, and again Jameson is responsible for that, the twist is that people know who he really is now

That was the Mysterio confession that was leaked to The Daily Bugle. My god you people are stupid

All of Shield at this point seems like Skrulls now. They could probably just out themselves or they they could probably just have Peter and "Spider-Man" show up in the same place.
They could also introduce Chameleon next movie and have his shenanigans accidentally fix Peter's secret Identity

Dmitry for the chameleon

Saw movie yesterday
Just now realizing there was no Stan Lee Cameo

Fuck

Endgame was his last ever cameo. It's kinda fitting.

Chameleon died for Mysterio

yes.
he won big time

youtube.com/watch?v=4-nrk5fQRjA

I have a bad feeling that the next Spider-Man will be based on One More Day!

But mephisto hasn't been introduced yet; who's he going to sell his marriage too?

And he doesn't even have a marriage to sell either.

this scene was fucking kino
goddamn it was so great
hype as fuck

>that hallway scene where Mysterio walks in
>that MJ scene where Peter jumps in to save her but results in jumping off a building
fucking based

>mephisto
strange 2
>marriage
relationship with MJ

wow that was easy

That was art.

How could an end credit scene be so much better than the entire film?

Attached: 1503366431827.png (192x154, 56K)

>"I control the truth!"
>"Mysterio IS the truth"
>"THEY'LL BELIEVE WHAT I TELL THEM TO!"

Attached: Mysterio Painting.jpg (411x634, 109K)

this cover art is amazing damn.

Exactly!

You should already know that MCU doesn't 100% follow the source materials.

It had to be this way because Jake Gyllenhaal is sexy and they want him to have more screen time. I want to blow him.

Attached: semi_naked_jake_gyllenhaal-2.jpg (479x722, 75K)

shit should have seen that ending coming considering how many times he went on about it

Good thing he's about as easy as Loki to bring back.
> I watched you die.
> Did you now~?

this is good

It's pretty meta that he just wears a Mocap Suit.Gave me a good chuckle.

also like how he wears his comic outfit under his armor.

I think Toomes has enough respect for Spidey to not go against him a second time

Raimi was going to make mysterio a fatso throw away villain

>Chameleon next movie and have his shenanigans accidentally fix Peter's secret Identity
Holy shit that would be hilarious. I want this to happen.

>Peter surrenders himself to the police claiming that hes just a kid and that his incrimination has no basis
>Peter is monitored for 48 hours
>Meanwhile Spider-man still fighting crime in teh city while Peter sits in prison
>Peter and skrull buddy then hi fives

jesus, the "what the fuck" moment in all the spider-man films so far makes you think that what came before would impact the story in a big way, we can see this when aunt may caught peter being spidey and everyone thought its gonna be a big deal, then come far from home, they just high five and helped each other out, Mysterio revealing Peter's identity would mean nothing

But Raimi was gonna reveal Mysterio was Bruce Campbell all along

Attached: sm4_bc_6_lr.jpg (807x378, 77K)

>Spider-Man going around fighting crime trying to clear his name
>Chameleon going around as Peter/Spider-Man doing crime trying to reinforce that he's a menace.

Attached: Pointing.jpg (800x450, 46K)

Aunt May knowing Peter is Spider-Man, as far as I know, has never been a big deal.
It's mostly just something peter keeps from her so she doesn't worry

And the only reason he didn't want her to worry was because she was perpetually seconds away from death

If the public ever found out about shapeshifters. A Skrull covering for Peter wouldn't work.

Nor should it convince people that the spider-man who killed beck wasnt a shapeshifter too.

also there would be no way for Jake to come back as it woould undone what he did in the post credit scene

Both MCU spider villains have been top notch. Mysterio exceptionally so. Can’t wait to see who’s next.

Special nod to our boy Shocker. Good side villain.

HALF WAY TO THE SINISTER SIX BOIS!

does that green shit actually do anything

I would imagine it's still deadly if the green shit were actually missiles.

I like to imagine that the gas was just a high powered stream of CS gas or some other legal, somewhat ethical less lethal chemical weapon.

he could be using multiple things just hidden in his illusions

>villain winning
Nigga did you not know about Infinity War?

>his team is still alive and hidden
Peter could easily find them with EDITH
>>said team still has access to edith
No they don't
>>revealed through jjj that spidey's identity is peter parker
>>incriminated spiderman
Should be pretty easy for someone like Nick Fury, or the rest of the Avengers to fix by either vouching for Spider-Man/Peter and/or revealing that Mysterio was the one who caused the destruction during his time as a "hero" then tricking the general public into believing Spider-Man is someone else.

How did Mysterio manage to replicate the effect of the giant water man and fire guy in real life before having access to Tony's combat drones?

Did he use a drone that shoot giant water/fire blasts and sprays huge amounts of water/fire on the ground just to simulate them both?

Attached: 1562480131825.jpg (756x384, 90K)

master of special effect. I imagine he used a bunch of Hollywood tricks with drones. Like all the practical effect they did in movies like Waterworld and Backdraft.

Were you not watching the movie?
>shot of drones using sonic weaponry to hit the sides of the Thames
>Peter getting set on fire while trying to reach Mysterio

For the water man it has to keep pumping out water to simulate the water trail when it moves, same for the fire man leaving burn marks on whatever it touched, if not it would be really suspicious if they disappear when the police/emergency team arrives at the scene after the fight is over.
Kind of lucky for Spider-Man or the pedestrians to ignore the non-existent heat that could melt metal coming from a giant fire man if most of his body is only made from an illusion instead of a real fire.

the fact that it's a giant man made of fire in the first place probably doesn't entice most people to look at it from a logical perspective

Not at all. They downloaded mysterious message you fuckinfbbirfinf baidk

My friend got mad I said Mysterio is a villain when he hasn't seen it. All I said was, "Movie was awesome, I've been wanting Mysterio as the villain in a Spider-Man movie since forever." Then he gets all, why would you spoil it for me? And said he thought they were actually friends or something.

I assume his parent kept him from watching cartoons as a child because they would rot his brain.

Yeah but Peter dating his daughter changes everything

i feel bad for the lady who spent all that time ironing a cape that wasn't used

this would be based honestly.

god bless the costume designers for this movie

>already getting peter's identity revealed to public
Isn't that supposed to be spider-man's endgame? I hope 3 isn't the last one...I want symbiote and Harry Osborn. Also we won't get any team ups until this plot is finished unless he just goes AWOL

Attached: Dex_sQvWAAE0lNG.jpg (1199x993, 193K)

>DUDE DRONES LMAO

Not gonna lie, that was somewhat disappointing. I was hoping for a pony that knew more than one trick but instead it was basically all just a giant irl green screen and the suit without the VFX was so fucking lame.

But that's the best part, that the people of that world has become so used to crazy shit happening that some guy manage to pull off a major con with super elaborate FX. Mysterio is also the best opponent for Spidey's growth; people were complaining about Spidey sense being weak/not working well in previous appearances and this is the movie that gives him his power up moment.

so...was dmitri the chameleon? same name.

Yeah but comics Mysterio was almost Batman-ish; he could hold his own in a fight but he always relied first and foremost on what he had up his sleeves and his suit was a major asset. In the movie, Mysterio minus the drone swarm is a an angry dweeb wearing a faggy jumsuit and some tupperware on his head.

And a fucking clown is also able to fight batman. Not everything is good just because it was in the source materials.

Yeah, but it's still somewhere between lazy and being a downgrade.

I am excited as fuck for Nightmare after Mysterio. Ramp the illusions up more and have Nightmare be the total bastard he always was

Not really. The comics are the ones being dumb when they decide to make just about everyone master of martial arts. There are many things I'm willing to concede when it comes to Yea Forums's complaints about MCU Spider-man, but the villains ain't one of them. Vulture and Mysterio are handled well. Making Mysterio a good fighter on top of being a master of special effects would be what's dumb.

He quite literally said that William made combat drones. It was in the big celebration scene just after he got the glasses.

>Mysterio's true end game

Attached: gayforyou2.jpg (1050x326, 120K)

He's a fantastic actor and pretty much a genius, not to mention he went down to the wire in trying to outsmart Peter (gun to the head). He doesn't need to know kung fu to be intimidating. If Beck knew Peter was alive after getting HIT WITH A TRAIN, I doubt Peter would have stood much of a chance. If Mysterio has the element of surprise, he can wreck Spiderman no problem.

even if most people know he's a villain you still spoiled the fact that he is indeed a villain and not a hero like in the trailers

This movie is more a howdunnit than whodunnit. Most people already expect him to be a villain, it's just a matter of seeing how he pulls off the con and betrayal.

Each drone's bullet is also supposed to be strong enough to emulate a massive threat that can easily annihilate buildings and cause severe collateral damage. And he got jackhammered right in the stomach with one of them, and he's not durable like Spiderman and was only wearing a mo-cap like suit. If that drone wasnt carrying fake bullets then he was most definitely dying. Especially if he used up his energy trying that last illusion.

Ultimately Mysterio is not a major enough villain to warrant a major return. Future Spiderman movies needs to have space for Doc Ock, the Goblins, Kraven, Scorpion, Rhino etc

Not sure what the guy was downloading at the end. It could be the video they edited or some sort of back door into Edith.

Is there any guarantee of another MCU Spider-Man movie? I thought the contract was only for two films

Nah she’s gone his daughter isn’t mj

I’m betting whoever the mastermind behind the Sinister Six is says “join my villain team or i’ll kill your family”. That’s how they get Vulture on the team.

That how Thanos got the stones. It’s probably the only villain plan on the MCU

This movie could literally be retitled Iron Boy

It was for 6 movies, of which he's already appeared in 5.

Peter now has control over EDITH which means recordings of the final events from many angles. His identity is still outed but the accusations won’t last long.

MCU Spidey is becoming Kino

>Wants to be the next ironman so bad
>E.D.I.T.H.
>Even dead, I'm the hero

What do you think?

>b-but Edith says he's dead

LMAO can you imagine believing it for one second. Next you'll wait for some writer/director to say he's dead.

>Believing anything crew members say about the show

He's alive.

>Spider-Man and SHIELD shows how Mysterio lied and used holograms to doctor footage and make it seem like SM is a killer/Peter Parker
>also use those same holograms to have Peter and SM appear in the same place at the same time
ez pz

You didn't think they were gonna one-off Jake Glycerol, did you?

What exactly is the point of Peter keeping his identity a secret when literally nobody else in the MCU bothers to hide their real identity?

Attached: angryFish.jpg (989x1000, 128K)

Captain America had no life outside of being Captain America before he went back in time and apparently lived in secret.
Thor faces villains from another world who don't even think about humans.
Tony Stark outed himself and because of that he was constantly targeted and his wife was kidnapped.
Peter is the only one who meets all the criteria of having people to protect, having villains that could interact with those people, and not having a state of the art AI/magic protection system for those people. Also, as a kid, Peter has more to lose by exposing himself in the long run. If he ever wants to stop being Spider-Man he won't be able to.

Peter actually has a relatively normal civilian life to protect. The avengers don't really have to worry that much. Tony is rich and can afford the best security etc. Capt is pretty much military etc. Nobody knows/cares about ant-man and so on. Peter is the only 'normal' one. He has a lot more to lose.

>Ultimately Mysterio is not a major enough villain
Did you even watch the movie? At this time Mysterio is MCU Peter's archnemesis

Same actor aside would raimi jonah have done the same thing as mcu jonah revealing peter's identity to the world?

Attached: 14-JJonahJamesonSpider-Man.jpg (738x369, 33K)

i personally dont think he would have because spidey saves him in one of the movies i think, but would probably confront peter or keep it up his sleeve, who knows.

No. had this scene was included in Spider-man 3, it would have been kino.

Attached: jjj.png (680x457, 573K)

No. JJ would have checked his sources, found out who Peter Parker was (because in this context they've never even met), and would have withheld the info. JJ is a straight shooter, and would NEVER endanger a kid like that

okay forget what i said above, this is true capekino

>b-but Edith says he's dead
Edith didn't even said that, Peter was scared of saying the D word (dead) so he asked if whats he is seeing is real or not and Edith answered its not an illusion, Edith told Peter that its the real Mysterio and not he is dead.

a kid who's a domestic terrorist and murdered the next iron man?

hello mysterio's goons

except that here Spider Man supposedly committed mass murder and killed Mysterio who was a hero from another dimension trying to save the planet

You do realize JJ, despite his Spider-Man bias, is still a credible journalist who would look into this thoroughly before endangering the life of a child, right?

That's just very popular russian name

E.D.I.T.H. is Mysterio's failsafe, Earlier in the film, Peter had to give Beck the rights to Edith, thereby removing his own, Peter just stole Edith off of Beck and the A.I. followed Peter's orders without hesitation and without Beck's confirmation.

Mysterio is a smart guy, he planned ahead and when things never got his way, he improvised "I decide what I want them to see", so its safe to assume that he had set up contingencies with the following scenarios should he die;

>In the event that Peter Parker once again has his hands on E.D.I.T.H.
>Give full access to Peter Parker but erase any indication that Quentin Beck is alive and have him be put as "Deceased" in all databases
>Provide Quentin Beck's team a complete copy of E.D.I.T.H.'s resources

Mysterio wanted to be the next iron man, and its only natural for him to use E.D.I.T.H. as his last "laugh" on Peter, because the post credit scene is exactly what the acronym stands for2.

so you think he just laid there, not moving and waiting until pete leaves?

You're an idiot if you think Mysterio actually died

Not him but, yes. HE'S AN ACTOR! That and Peter is a gullible dumbass who only asked if illusions were off

>what is body armor
you really think the guy who made BARF would just wear mocap suit and nothing else?

what else would he see but indisputable testimony and video footage from a guy shield backs up? jameson's smart but he cannot read minds.

>from a guy shield backs up?
SHIELD is "officially" gone, and publicly under question ever since the HYDRA fiasco. Furthermore, "Fury" doesn't back him anymore regardless.

how psychotic was Mysterio? In the trailer, he seemed buddy-buddy with Peter

>how psychotic was Mysterio?
He plans to level european cities just to dick wave

it was the blueprints and data for all the tech

He wanted to massacre his entire crew with drones after one of them came back missing a piece because it was leaving evidence

So here's the following Spider-Man villains that are still alive in the MCU:
>Vulture
>Scorpion
>Shocker
>Tinkerer
>Prowler
>Hydro-Man (mentioned by Flash)
>Lady Beetle (one of Mysterio's assistants)
>Chameleon (Dimitri)

Which combination do you think will make up the Sinister Six?

You can disregard Tinkerer, Prowler, Hydro-Man, Beetle, and Chameleon.
>Not listing Mysterio
Are you dense?

this, Tinkerer would go legit hell even be a part of a new AIM

they will probably use lady beetle and maybe add a few new ones so the evil side has some more female characters.
which one was ladybeetle? the one who ironed the cape or the woman on the VR?

still, beck is very credible. i don't see why you wouldn't believe him.

Why do you keep calling her "Lady Beetle". It's just Beetle. Regardless they're not using her anyway, too visually similar to Wasp. It's going to be
>Vulture
>Scorpion
>Shocker
>Mysterio
>Doctor Octopus
And perhaps The Rhino

>Rhino
PLEASE NO NOT AGAIN

what if they go the spider verse route and cast a woman for doc ock?

Attached: 1551219982352.png (900x863, 354K)

Oh please, it can't be any worse than ASM's shitshow. All they have to do is pump a Russian with knockoff super soldier/Hulk drugs and throw a suit of armor on him with a horn.

Attached: PS4 Rhino.png (1920x1080, 1.06M)

youtube.com/watch?v=ui1OzpdyQjg
I like this theme

So have those skrulls been Fury and Hill this entire time, or just since the end of Endgame?

what the fuck? thats the song (some of it) playing when Peter was winning on the last fight?
why is Mysterio's theme the victory theme?

End of endgame I'm sure.

this, Carol probably asked Fury if he wants to travel to space and possibly set up SWORD

>Carol confirmed for next final enemy of MCU

see

>He is indeed the ultimate trickster, the girl next to me went "Fuck yeah, Fury" when he shot Mysterio and then it turns out that was also an illusion, I also thought "man, that's it?" when that happened but nope
this and trying to ice peter in the "last stand" scene were fucking brilliant. That's how you subvert expectations.

Red Skull revealed Hawkeye's moms name was Edith in Endgame, wonder if it's just a coincidence

definitely a coincidence

Damn that would make for a cool mysterio.
But i'm getting the feeling that the programmer guy might take up his cape.

He downloaded the final footage from the bridge to manipulate per Beck's orders.

But the important thing to notice is they still have their original 25-50 drones that weren't connected to EDITH.

Maybe since the funeral. That reminded Fury he needed a new Initiative but also he wanted a break since most of his original team were done. He didn't tell Talos everything, obviously, since Talos didn't know Happy was giving him a coded message nor Mysterio kept gaslighting him until the third time he re-used the "earth's core" speech.

Attached: D-k2Z9FXUAAx-en.jpg (789x1200, 267K)

Depends, in the Raimiverse Jonah knew Peter and would never endanger him or expose him pubicly , but since Jonah don't know Peter in the MCU, he probably feels no guilt and just wants people to get outraged and also profit from what he percieves as something morally justified, exposing a dangerous powered individual and doing a favor for society in whole.

>Mysterio used practical effects to fake his own death
Would be pretty Kino

I was really hoping that Stark's college tech program seen in Civil War was going to lead to psychotic college kids building tech with Stark's funding and having Spider-Man have to deal with it. Stark creating his demons as always.

That would be Riri Williams job when she becomes Ironheart

Remember Charlie Spencer.

>Peter: Is he... Is this real?
>EDITH: All illusions are down, Peter.

No confirmation that he wasn't just playing dead with good old fashioned acting.

One would assume the authorities or "Fury" would have retrieved the body, instead of an alive Beck just bolting the moment he's out of Peter's line of sight, but still, no confirmation.

>Is he- is this real?
>All the illusions are down.

Peter was too squeamish to ask the right question, and Edith never said anything bout Beck's vitals.

Raimi JJ loved Pete
So was the whole Fury is a skrull thing done to explain how Beck managed to pull off his sham? I find it deeply unlikely a bunch of former Stark employees would be able to pull off a con this huge in abandoned locations with tracked heroes, other than Fury being a skrull who can't match the real deal. A background check alone should have exposed Beck.
ctrl+s next time user

>tfw Mysterio got me wondering if JJJ is even real in this universe.

The Bugle is simply a website after all, It wasn't a Paper. Fairly certain the background behind JJJ was the same green colour as Mysterio's costume. I'm not convinced the Bugle and Jameson are even independent sources. They may just be Beck's own "Fake News" outlet with JJJ being his Alex Jones.

Yes.

He should have brought a gun

yes, the real Fury would have had Mysterio on lock down and preobably have a plan in case Mysterio fucked up

why don't the people who actually write comics take their own characters seriously? is Old Man Logan the only story where Mysterio is used properly and not as a joke?

Beck was great in The Gauntlet

Mysterio is also just naturally a buttmonkey. Many of his more popular appearances involve him being a joke, even when he’s a threat.

Attached: image.jpg (1242x1898, 2.72M)

>hardest part of Spiderman 2 game by miles
>ends up getting one-shot and left crying on the floor after trying to rob a convenience store
I love the way that you never know what kind of threat level to expect from a Mysterio appearance.

I still don't understand this story

I think the last member will be Kraven. If I remember correctly there was a rumour that he’ll be introduced in Black Panther 2. If that’s true then I can imagine afterwards he will come to New York where Doc Ock will track him down and offer him a spot on the team and a chance to hunt Spider-Man. Obviously this is just a wild guess though.

Are they hinting that chameleon is just going to be a rogue skrull?

Hehe saving this

>I had to trick the most paranoid man on Earth

>Captain Marvel?
>Don't even mention her!

>I suspected him from the beginning.
>No, you didn't.
Remember, last time Fury trusted someone, he lost his eye.

It’s. Fucking. Mysterio.
He pulls this shit all of the time. He has Edith for days, do you think he could not simply program it in case something happened?
A Bulletproof vest?

This is the easiest death to reverse in the MCU...

Of course if they did manage to use Skrulls to put Peter's ID back in the bag, they could then have a hilarious Mysterio rematch (where Beck poses as the SECOND Mysterio) where they both try to unmask the other to prove they're full of shit.

While I think the Avengers and larger authority bodies know the real score, Mysterio won by dealing some heinous damage --through JJJ -- to Pete's reputation. The government and the Avengers can't fix that.

Street level authorities like the cops or the public at large are going to be divided and the menace label will stick even if the military isn't busting down the door of their apartment and opening fire or the UN doesn't label him a wanted criminal.

You're gonna have friends, people Spidey saved, people who hate the Bugle or something IDK who'll stick up for him, but holy damn, I do hope they go somewhere with this.

Chameleon or Skrull shenanigans clearing Pete's name would be hilarious, but I'm kinda wondering if he'll eventually create a new identity as Ben Reilly or something like that.

>Nobody knows/cares about ant-man
Ouch

But Stan Lee was in it.

He was wearing Iron Man's armor

...Hey wait....

Doesn't Flash have phone footage of the drone attack?

I kinda wonder if he becomes a real video blogger trying to campaign for Spidey as a hero after this film. Guy knows what really happened in London and he's certainly gonna feel pretty stupid/humbled when he finds out Peter is Spiderman

He's already a huge Spidey fan, so he probably will be trying to prove he's innocent in the next film.

I like this

Flash is such a huge Spider-Man nerd he'll be the one to prove why it can't be Peter.

Don't forget Civil War. Zemo won in the short run.

Kraven we haven't seen in any adaptation.
Pls Kraven played by Jeffry Dean Morgan.

>The entire time Holland is in the jet he's showing off his biceps

>Happy stitching up his back? Gotta show off them biceps. Giving Happy MJ's necklace? Let me just flex that on over to you

I couldn't stop laughing

So should Mysterio get a new suit that has the function of his VR suit, but the fashion of his "hero"/cape look?

Is the movie worth it to see in Imax, or just do regular?

Attached: 1464797363341.png (712x1100, 682K)

He likes to avoid killing people directly, jumping through mental gymnastic to remove guilt/responsibility for the action. He didn't kill Peter, Peter backed up onto some tracks and got hit by a train. He doesn't kill people, the drones do. It's Tony's fault these people have to die because they listened to him and not me.

You say that and yet Beck was about to shoot Peter point blank in the head with a pistol while he was distracted by a hologram. So no, your logic is a bit flawed here.

What if they cast Bruce as Uncle Ben?

>marry MJ
>sell marriage to the devil

Identity problem solved

>so...was dmitri the chameleon? same name.

nah but there's a good chance that he was a shape shifter

>we never found out what happened to that extra skrull in captain marvel

He already explained that he blamed that Tech guy for that. It was the tech guy's fault that Peter has to die because he didn't report the damage equipment.

I also said he avoids it, not that he never will.

That's not indirect at all. Beck WANTED to kill Peter after he kept fucking up his masterpiece.

I like how he's one of those psychos who is okay with killing faceless masses but as soon as he gets to know people he feels bad about murdering them even if he'll do it still. It made him feel more dangerous.

He really was based
Honestly a better trickster than loki.
Mysterious really was perfect

so mysterio is Ultron?

Well by that point, Spiderman was being 'selfish' for fucking up all of his plans and refusing to die. he'd never meet the Queen at this point.

(Seriously, I think we can chalk that up to a moment of passion/outright fury because Pete ruined *everything* for him.)

Yes. It's fucking mysterio you faggot, not stilt man.

Thanos still lost in the endgame though.

I know it was minor, but am I the only one who really liked that Peter didn't try to bullshit MJ about being Spider Man and just flat out said it after they saw the projector in action again?

Attached: 1446592434001.gif (420x420, 1.61M)

>Mysterio is not a major enough villain
>needs to have space for Rhino

kek

I imagine that the Avengers will IMMEDIATELY clear Peter Parker. Like seriously, Nick Fury, Happy/War Machine. Anybody. Will all vouch for Parker. Even Flash. But the damage to his Secret Identity will be done, and people like JJ/New Yorkers won't trust him as much.

>Imax
It's never worth it to see in fake tiny IMAX. Just sit closer to the screen.

Attached: mysterio.png (1549x1028, 2.26M)

I'd hate to be "that guy", and this isn't really a mark against the film, but this entire plot could have been easily avoided had Spidey been able to contact Doctor Strange. But that's naturally the flaw of both film and comic when characters share universes
>"Hey Doc, did you hear about this Mysterio guy? He's a wizard from another universe! Let's have him join The Avengers."
>"Wait, what?"
>Sling rings over to where Peter is
>Looks at Beck, Fury, and around the room
>"He's not a wizard, he's not from another dimension, those monsters are fake, and he's got about 4 invisible drones targeting all of you"
>Does a few spells that undoes the illusion, destroys the drones, and binds Beck
>"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!"
>"That's called REAL MAGIC. Goodbye, Peter, Mister Fury."
>Sling Rings back home

Attached: Escher Dr Strange.jpg (1024x1449, 295K)

Agreed. What about a rough outline of the character highlighting their eyebrows looks good.

It's because the artist misses the entire fucking point of minimalist art what with that cluttered layout

Well, if your friend wasn't knowledgeable about Mysterio before watching, how would he know? Or mb he just believed the trailers.

One of my friends was sceptic before watching it, because he was mad Mysterio was a good guy in the trailers as he for some reason didn't assume they would reveal him to be a villian in a "twist".

It's the first Spider-Man film not to have one.

The only people who noticed are the ones who wanted to notice, if you get my drift.

What PS3 game is this?

I can’t believe JJJ didn’t say the M-word

I'm a co producer for the Spider-Man movies, heres the next movie that's already gone into production.
It's called Spider-Man: Homework

The plot focuses on Peters school life, trying to finish his finals, while wrestling with his life as Spider-Man. His grades are slipping and this is his only chance he has to graduate highschool.

The new villain is a never before seen unique MCU villain called "Paper Man" who was a man working on the NY Times Printing Office during the Avengers, when a piece of Chitari tech landed in the Printing Office and exploding, giving him the ability to control paper products.
He can wrinkle paper, throw paper around, and control paper from virtually any distance.
This is a problem for Peter, as you can imagine who needs to figure out why his notes are disappearing! Paper Man also hates Jonah for being the leading force in phasing out News Papers for Online News so there is more Jameson.

The reveal at the end of Far From Home is real, and everyone is pointing to Peter, however Happy steps up, and shows the world that he is actually Spider-Man to cover for Peter, so now everyone thinks Happy Hogan is Spider-Man.

The final battle culminates into a giant Spider-Man 3 Sandman esque fight, where Paper Man makes a giant cardboard monster and wrecks the city as Peter tries to stop it.

The ending is with Peter graduating, and is now ready to take on life. The ending scene shows Pepper in a mountain of paperwork rubbing her temples, when she calls Happy in and asks who the kid Tony trusted, Happy says, "Peter?" and Pepper responds, "THATS THE ONE" Why don't we just give him the company cause I can't handle this stress.

after credits scene shows construction workers almost done remodelling a Stark Industries sign to read "Parker Industries"

Going to admit, Bruce campbell as mysterio would have been fucking perfect. I would prebuy 10 tickets right now if they made a random Raimi Spiderman 4 with that.

Could be another skrull that’s evil or something, I think feige said something about not all skrulls being good

Except for the fact that his endgame middle finger at the end of the movie was probably the biggest Success against spiderman a mysterio has ever had.

Assuming he's still alive, he 100% got away scot free with spiderman literally ruined.

saw it this morning
Best points:
>Mysterio in general
>the final battle with Mysterio was genuinely good, and featured some cool web moves.
>The illusion sequence
>Peter's overall narrative arc of fucking up and learning from his own mistakes
>relationships with people

Negatives:
>too much focus on some of the relationships, especially with the other kids
>Doesn't really stand alone because everything is thematically tied back to Endgame. Movies are no longer accessible to regular people because the MCU has become the movie equivalent of comics continuity, where each movies hinges on the audience having seen the others to be fully coherent.
>Movie does that thing that Endgame did where it's not really out to tell a cohesive story but strings a bunch of isolated plot beats together and jumps between them haphazardly to get to the big fight.

he's too honest for his own good

That would be too much I think

>"That's called REAL MAGIC. Goodbye, Peter, Mister Fury"
kek

Mastication?

god I hope this is real

Mysterio’s theme is based.
It sounds super tryhard, fitting for a fake hero, and even uses synths instead of real instruments

There's two versions of that theme, a hero version and villain version
youtube.com/watch?v=ui1OzpdyQjg&list=RDui1OzpdyQjg&start_radio=1

I thought the same thing...waaay over the top but you can imagine him focus-testing his own theme and demanding it sound MORE HEROIC

>At this time Mysterio is MCU Peter's archnemesis

>Two villains so far
>so... 50% chance

WOW. Who'd have guessed?

Well technically 3 or maybe 4 villains so far. The point was that Beck seems to be the most personal out of them.

Well 3 if you count shocker

Guys.
Guys.
GAIZ.

Now, everyone's talking about JJJ outing Peter and being rather meanspirited here. But what if the JJJ shown in the ending ISN'T the real one, but Someone who's kidnapped the real JJJ and taken his place to have a news source to use to pump mysterio's hero angle and shit on spiderman?
Beck was interested in setting himself up as a hero, and if you get a news source under your thumb first that becomes way easier--- With beck's Hologram tech, they could easily have kidnapped JJJ first and then had a minion of Mysterio or the Chameleon take his place.

JJJ's an asshole, but I don't see him putting a 16 year old kid's life in danger.

This. Edith is DUMB AS FUCK. She's one of the softest AIs you can get (See her almost killing flash WHILE PETER WAS ON THE BUS--- what ever happened to "you're in the killzone?!).
Unless you ask the right question you'll get the wrong answer.

If they're gonna do Sinister Six, I doubt they're gonna use the classic roster. We already have Vulture, Scorpion, Shocker, and Iron Spider (Aaron). Hopefully they bring in the brothers Kraven and Chameleon next movie as the final two members.

Before anyone here says "But Kraven has a solo movie coming up from Sony", do keep in mind that they also had Mysterio solo movie in the works and that didn't happen because Feige wanted to use him in Far From Home.

>See her almost killing flash WHILE PETER WAS ON THE BUS

That was going to be an assassination bullet, not a high power blast. She still has zero common sense, of course.

>and Iron Spider (Aaron)
Okay that's a weird ass choice that I don't see happening at all.
>Kraven
Getting a SONY solo movie so he's out. That still seems like a go ahead unlike Mysterio's
>Chameleon
Sucks and the disguise gimmick is getting really old now. Just stick with Mysterio

Just got back from it. Legit wasn’t spoiled that JK Simmons was back. That was great

>Ultimately Mysterio is not a major enough villain to warrant a major return.
Beck revealed Peter's identity to the world and it ended with Mysterio being victorious by having the world see him as the good guy and Spider-Man as the Villain. This is the most warranted return for a villain for Spidy to fight back.

Attached: White_House_No.png (860x514, 300K)

Is anyone else bothered that Tony Stark had drones that could pinpoint and kill people?

I wonder what acronyms they used for EDITH in other languages

Dude, 90% of the other heroes in the universe could solve Peter's problems if they dealt with the Villains.

The vulture would have gotten his teeth kicked in in a second by Iron man, Dr. Strange, Thor, ect.
Mysterio would have been fucked if the real nick fury was there because he would have seen through it in a second and killed him, the Hulk would have been just too pissed to confuse and just started punching and jumping around at random until he pinballed the drones to death by sheer brute force, ect.

The whole point here is that its PETER facing these guys, not the other characters. He's not up to the same level as the other avenger tier heroes, but the fact that he's handling it on his own is the important part.

I hope they don't jump straight to bonding the symbiote to flash just to have a "heroic" venom to sell toys of.

I like how you wasted time writing all that despite the post you responded to clearly says
>"this isn't really a mark against the film"
And
>"But that's naturally the flaw of both film and comic when characters share universes"

So calm the fuck down, shill

So basically sandman except with paper.

Adam Rose to play Kraven

Nah he probably got super paranoid and made near brother-eye level shit during the 5 year gap when he was raising a daughter

>The buyer of Stark's Tower is Roxxon
WE WILL O' THE WISP NOW

Someone fell asleep right in front of me in the theatre and was audibly snoring for a good 70% of the movie. Kind of killed the mood

Next time throw popcorn at them

AYYYYY FUCK STARK’S BRO IM A SPIDER-MAN VILLAIN

Who was in charge of this idea, is this shit gonna go round 3 for Spider-Man 3?

How can I blame Bendis for this

You think that's bad? some guy next to me fell asleep on my first viewing of Endgame

>The first credits scene

Sooooo is this their excuse to copy how civil war got Peter to tell everybody to support tony’s side? Whose going to do the population memory drain now?

I had two Asian chicks next to me during Endgame and they would not. shut. up.

Dr Strange

I honestly want Spidey to get Vulture’s help in the next movie, the guy already respected him enough at tell Scorpion to fuck off.

If we get a sinister six movie that'll happen user.

the others will fuck Spiderman over and have him dead to rights, and Vulture will end up saving him somehow, like he's tasked with disposing of the body down a dumpster and hit the switch or something and he takes him to a rooftop or something and tells him to just leave town.

So what fucking ratchet ass theater do you go to where the staff doesn't eject loud assholes?

Attached: 1536452350559.jpg (1920x1080, 86K)

Out of curiosity, where was the theater?

Was the point of the skrull reveal to relieve Fury of any mistakes Shield made during the movie? Because it just makes him seem dumber for leaving a couple of knuckleheads in charge of earth security.

sounds more fun then Homecoming

In what comics is Scorpion up with those other guys? He just seems like muscle in all the comics I've read.

It's fine, user, because Fury has Skrulls now. He'll just call up Talos and get him to shapeshift and perform in front of the camera to prove Beck was really a villain. Cue the next edition of J Jonah showing Beck's leaked sex tape with an underage Peter Parker where Beck is slapping that ass while shouting, "Yeah, I'm the bad guy!" The next call from Fury should be interesting but I imagine Talos saying, "You told me to make him a villain and this - and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about your local laws - is illegal. So what's the problem?"

It scares me that this could actually work

>I doubt Mysterio's SFX crew have any relevance
The bald-headed guy with the glasses was given plenty of spotlight and was referred to as Beck's second in command. I think he's going to be Doc Ock.

Not if Talos keeps Fury in the dark out of embarrassment, like he did in this movie.

>who was a man working on the Stark Industry Paper during the Avengers, when a piece of Chitari tech landed in the Printing Office and exploding, giving him the ability to control paper products.

FTFY

He enjoys a lot of Stark Industries hand-me-downs.

youtube.com/watch?v=nmR1vqxmVTs

How the fuck is Secret Invasion going to happen if Shield has Skrulls as agents now? Even if there are evil Skrulls, its practically impossible for them to blend in without the Skrulls with Shield noticing.

That implies Talos would be embarrassed to perform recorded homosex with him and his wifey shapeshifted into humans and releasing it for the world to see. I don't buy it.

PARKER

The Skrulls will all be called back to their new homeworld where they may or may not die along the way.

Try getting accepted into college when you're wanted for a worldwide drone attack.

Maybe this is the villain JJ Abrams' son is working on, all in preparation for Abrams' upcoming Spider-Man movie. Makes sense...

Shut it down.

>Mysterio picking up his name from Peter
>at first it just looks like a bonding moment
>turns out Beck just found the name kickass enough to work it into his charade

You don't know the kind of people they have at Empire State University, he might just go up in their estimation.

Attached: plum-profile.jpg (533x358, 58K)

He seemed a bit regretful when he realized that he had to kill Peter to have his plan work, it's nice when villains have genuine care and respect for their enemy deep down

>It wasn’t part of the illusion, it actually was a fucking train

Fuck, that got me, ouch

I greatly appreciate how excellent the mid-credits scene was but WHY did they put such an important thing in the mid-credits?

Half the audience will leave even if there are post-credit scenes because they don't think it's important. So now half the audience will be like "what do you mean that happened in the movie?"

Attached: 1526995964634.jpg (750x1077, 157K)

You always stay for the credits in Marvel movies. It's been a rule for a long time now.

I missed out on JK Simmons because of this shit. Post-credits scenes should just be outtakes or something else humorous, with the plot being all tied up beforehand

>fury shoots mysterio
>wait that was it?
>its actually mysterio
based

He's fucking dead, the guy was unstable and the reason he got killed he order the drones near him to fire at Peter despite EDITH's warning. The dude was crazy enough to record himself dying to frame Peter and all that shit in the post-credits.

Which Peter deflected to when he sense the real Beck still trying to kill him.

>Ned pulls the name "Night Monkey" from his ass
>the rest of Europe rolls with it

Attached: 1397311392975.png (312x314, 101K)

no, but im sure someone on that team could easily take the tech they stole / copied and create doctor oct gear, or even a green goblin glider.

all of this stuff is going to originate from tony stark industries until the osborns show up

>As far as I can tell Spider-Man killed Mysterio by breaking his wrist.
He died from the gunshot wound from his own drones after retardedly telling them to fire at Peter despite EDITH's warning that might kill him.

Hes dead, he was fucking unstable, so him irl shitposting while dying is pretty much something he will.

Shit, that was great. Only thing homecoming needed was more SPECTACULAR scenes. But they went a bit too far with the /ss/ jokes imo. You know what I'm talking about.

Attached: fat dolphin.jpg (600x400, 34K)

>/ss/ jokes
nigga this is all a set up for Felicia

with all the other illusions mysterio pulled off, from nick fury and all the other stuff, his final trick wasnt the attack on london it was faking his own death and framing spiderman

>People actually thinking Mysterio is still alive despite how much there is to the contrary because of "muh masters of illusion".
>Somehow forgetting this is the MCU where the villains are always killed off by the end of the movie.

Attached: 3534545.gif (250x250, 992K)

Fucking Mysterio tricked me like twice. Someone has that twatter or facebook screencap with normies reacting to the "twist"? it was probably a rollercoaster for them.

vulture.jpeg

They'll go ahead with Secret Invasion, right? might be hard to swallow cause they are making Talos way too likeable, same thing with Mbaku.

No, if they did then why bother with his “back up plan” and frame spidey

Has a family, so he has plot armor.

So did Thanos.

I will admit I fell for the fakeout before Peter got hit by the train. It was obvious he was lying about the multiverse shit from the start though.

Which he didn't give a shit when it became an obstacle to his goal of collecting the infinity stones and wiping out half of the universe.

I genuinely like Mysterio as a Villain more than Thanos. Fucking come at me

>My name is Mysterio
That look Beck gives him is priceless, it’s such a hammy moment that he sells perfectly.

Abomination.png

Abomination, Zemo, Vulture, Shocker, Dormmaru.
I mean, a LOT of villains have been killed off, but it’s not 100%, and this is Mysterio we’re talking about, the master of misdirection. the footage duringthe end credits was sent after Peter said “execute them all” by that time Beck had already ‘died’. So if he’s really dead where did he find the time to record that?

>People know about Scott now
Finally.

Attached: ANTZ.png (411x185, 173K)

>implying thats a good thing
Hank will flip his shit in the next movie

ahaha

Attached: milk.png (571x131, 10K)

> Even Dead I'm The Hero
> Mysterio's post-mortem message delivered via EDITH
That was a pretty good touch

Clever

>implying all the skrulls in SHIELD are good

>mysterio giggling in the background as peter talks to the hologram of his dead body rendered just in time w/ his non Edith drones
>mysterio hamming up his performance for the end credits scene and telling his crew to roll it again
>mysterio pre-confrontation laying on the ground to figure out his death pose in various uncomfortable positions
I can imagine it so vividly. Is mysterio /ourguy/?

so...
no multiverse?

Attached: resizer.php.jpg (1322x650, 399K)

No, only smoke and mirrors and former Stark employees

>Good thing he's about as easy as Loki to bring back.

meaning he'll eventually have a Loki-tier death scene he can't come back from

Did you see Endgame? Loki with a tesseract is out there.

Shhhhhhhhhh Disney + plots don’t exist

But he's alive in the movie

So is the entire theme of MCU Spider-Man villains going to be
>FUCK STARK INDUSTRIES

Yes
Peter Parker is Tony's sidekick
All his villains will be tied to Tony Stark
RDJ will cameo in every movie just like Stan Lee used to

I find it more concerning he at no point figured to install some sort of "don't try to murder Peter/literal children" failsafe into his AI.

Originally one of Mysterio's illusions was going to be Iron Man killing uncle Ben to traumatize Peter but they didnt know how they were going to work in Ben into the story so that the illusion made sense.

Well it isnt surpising tech villains are linked. Someone like Kraven may be different.

Kraven used to go on safaris with Tony Stark but when they were attacked by a radioactive lion Stark abandoned him to his fate, he now seeks revenge by taking the life of his next of kin Peter Parker

He'd be embarrassed because Nick could tell at a glance that wifey was Beck and he was Peter.

This is Marvel's JJJ, not Raimi's. They didn't bother going further than 'Sony's game had him as Alex Jones parody, let's do the same'.

Wow a character that has had a total of 5 seconds screentime in an afterd credits scene has not much characterization built up.
Color me surprised

Attached: 1547862124836.jpg (261x199, 14K)

Had two kids behind me talking/loud whispering constantly, but it was okay, they were very excited and talking about what was happening in the movie.

After the intro scene with 'Fury and Hill' one proclaimed loudly "Where is Spider Man?!" which got a good laugh out of everyone.

Mysterio is specifically known for faking his death in the comics though. It’s kinda like when Loki dies in the MCU and you don’t believe it. I mean we even saw him fake his death twice just in this movie to try and trick Peter.

In Spanish they made it
Estado
Difunto
I
Tu
Héroe

I don't remember what the "I" stood for.

Well they’ve done a pretty good job making the Spidey villains good in the MCU. Who knows, maybe they’ll make the rest of the S6 pretty good too

Ewig
da
ich
toter
held

which when translated literally and in the order of the acronym means Forever here I the dead hero

also they changed B.A.R.F to S.E.N.F (mustard) which I had never noticed until this movie

I'm deeply impressed that Tony decided that Hydra's plan in Winter Soldier was a good one, except only if he was in charge.

But how will they ever top the first cinematic Ock?

that's in german by the way

Some midwest suburb. The place always seems pretty understaffed

Yeah that’s a problem I had. They haven’t set up any ever present antagonists for MCU Peter that he has to worry about his friends and family’s safety.

I mean that does sound like Tony. Part of the conflict of Civil War was Tony being like “I’m in charge so it’s fine” and Steve being like “In charge for now”

Hmm.... You have a point. The only stock I’m putting into it is the seeming possibility that they want to build up to a Sinister 6 movies but that’ll take too long and I doubt that Holland will be on contract for that many more films to set up all of them as good villains like they have for Mysterio and Vulture.

except the mid credits scene of homecoming makes it pretty clear why peters identity becoming public knowledge is going to be a pretty big problem even without the slander and false accusations.

For some reason, Mysterio being furious about mustard is even more hilarious

Scorpion wants to kill Spiderman, now that his identity is known hes fucked

So far we have Vulture, Mysterio and Shocker ready to go. Scorpion has already been set up so all he needs is a suit. Really they only need 2 more characters. One will be the leader (most likely Ock or Norman) so they will need some good set up but the final member can just be a hired goon like Rhino. I’m pretty sure they could do Sinister Six in the fourth MCU Spider-Man film if they wanted to.

>introduce Kraven in Black Panther 2
Problem solved.

I don't think Agent Venom is in the cards unless Flash re-names his online persona while trying to clear Pete's name.

Tom Hardy's Venom made a buttload of money so he's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm personally hoping for a Maximum Carnage situation is in the works and Spiderman saving New Yorkers from being eaten by a blood monster will help improve his standing...

Even Dead, I Taunt Homos

>too visually similar to Wasp
But then how would they have the obligatory female team member fights the other team's female member scene?

>I don't have time for your tricks
>Illusions, Mr Strange!

KILL ALL NIGGERS

It's not his job to babysit Peter nor does Mysterio pose a threat that would fit his actual duties. Like how the Ancient One was just chilling while Loki and the Chitauri invaded New York.

Peter already suggested Strange and Nick said he was unavailable

>the Ancient One was just chilling while Loki and the Chitauri invaded New York
Lies, you could see her blasting chitauris left and right up protect the Sanctum. Just because she wasn't there for the Avengers lineup doesn't mean she was taking a sunbath.

To take any potential heat off of them. Literally all anyone knew about them was just Beck and Spidey. If they killed him without false-context, then obviously it'd give people reason to think Beck might not have been acting alone and had people helping him.

He's also the only one with a "regular" life still. Everyone else is pretty much superheroes full time, military, Royaty, part of a group of wizards, or a bunch of space mercenaries.

There's Antman but he's got the backing of the Pyms, he's part of a well known security company and Paxton is a cop so they're well protected there.

What war did captain america do crimes in

I think that due to general ross being an ass Captain america was slapped with technicality war crimes in Civil war due to being on the wrong side.

I was talking about bucky

wet work ain't war crimes

Yeah they're just regular crimes

Anyone surprised how much of a beating they inflicted on a 16 year old kid? Hit by a high speed train, shot at, set on fire, etc etc?

He deserves it for trusting Quentin.

I was more surprised by Spidey throwing a punch during that final moment, I had herd that, much like the animated series, MCU Spidey wouldn’t actually strike anyone during a fight, but instead use his webs to subdue them. When he got close and punched through the glass ball to deck Beck I winced.
And the image of Beck holding a gun to Peter’s head after he tried to shoot him. Mysterio was fucking awesome in this movie

Only Raimi and Webb's Spidey threw punches/kicks towards people. It looked like Peter still restrained himself when he punched Mysterio's helmet since it didn't instantly shatter.

An ex hydra agent who was subject to experiments with skrull genetics

Probably because he remembered what happened when he just slapped Flash upside the head earlier

Good point, user.

Hehe, "Webb".

Shame the movies were shit

Will they develop Flash in the next one? felt bad for him in the airporn scene.

Pretty much. Also great "mastermind" example of a villain. Even when losing he wins

Ah, the Xanatos Method

>Shocker
You mean how they killed the real shocker so they can have a boring guy with no personality play him? That was awful

>Xanatos
you know I never watched Gargoyles, would say it should be on my list?

They killed Montana and had Herman use the gloves, personally I was blown away that they referenced Spectacular at all by having Montana be Shocker

Do it. It's good shit.

It’s fine, when they do Sinister Six they can just kill of that guy and have a new third guy be the Shocker. Then halfway through the film kill that guy off and have a fourth guy become the new Shocker. Then in the post credits scene have that guy have a heart attack and we see a kid walk up to his corpse, remove the gauntlets and laugh setting him up to be the fifth Shocker in the next film. It’s a running gag! The MCU loves them.

Except for the Peter annoying friends and the Euro trip
and the Skrull Nick Fury who was completely stupid

it's kinda lame that they killed Logan Marshall Green since he's a great actor and he's also the one villain who actually gave himself a name

Incel Sinister Six
No woman allowed

How dare you Disney?

I don't know if this accurate, but I heard that Strange's next movie is going to be happening concurrently with FFH.
