Also Glynda's voice actor got fired for confirming it hence why she was never in anything past volume 3.
The writing was already fucked to high hell, now the issue comes from the music and "art".

I never said that what he said was 100% true. Just that many use his illness to claim that what he said was 100% false. His illness is used as an underhanded way to change the optics of the conversation. A lot of what has happened since does back-up some of his claims. RT doesn't value its workers and treats them as disposable. Most companies won't build this kind of reputation. Yet, RT has managed it.

I don't know, but holy shit every single design of theirs is terrible so far. The older designs may have been anime as fuck, but at least they were cohesive and simple (intentionally, because Monty wanted them easy for cosplayers to make). Now it's just a bunch of shit slapped together with no rhyme or reason. Random scraps of fabric, zippers and belts everywhere, exotic materials and accessories. It's a mess.

You realize Ein Lee, the character designer, has been working on the show since Day 1 and created more of the original character designs than Monty?

I think it's been the same designer from the beginning. She's just going through her zipper and belts phase.
Although it bears noting the original designs seemed to have been based on rough sketches done by Monty which she later fleshed out.

RWBY has stopped drawing in new fans, and has stopped doing all the things that made people like it way back in Volume 1.

I'm surprised, the show seemed pretty obvious about setting up darker plot stuff. I thought the highschool parts were by far the worst of the show, but I guess that comes down to preference.

a) A long time on the making therefore a dedicated fanbase (Berserk, JoJo, Hokuto no Ken, Devilman) and even then they have a hard time to get a proper adaptation (Miura has said that the reason Berserk never had much anime is simply because studios don't see much faith in a franchise like that being profitable; and prior to the anime, JoJo was originally supposed to have all parts in movie form by Studio APPP starting with Phantom Blood but we all know how that turned out)

Last season was the best that RWBY has ever been (and that's saying something); so I am genuinely hoping they can keep up what they've got goin'.

The whole setting doesn't make any sense. Apparently nobody takes goblins seriously and they're regarded as pests and minor enemies that low-level adventurers shouldn't have a hard time with, but at the same time everyone views goblins as a grave menace because of their ruthless horde tactics and the fact that they can literally only procreate by raping human women. It's not even a case of some characters having one or the other view, multiple characters will express both views with absolutely no acknowledgement of the contradiction. Goblin Slayer himself is mocked for his autistic fixation on goblins but the same characters who do this also turn out to deeply respect him for being the only one willing to stand up to the goblin menace.

The series can't make up its mind about whether the world underestimates goblins and GS is the only one smart enough to know how dangerous they are, or whether everyone already knows this and just doesn't do shit about it for whatever reason and just count on GS to do it for them and treat him as a savior even though there's literally nothing stopping them from clearing goblin nests themselves. Somehow GS is the only one who knows how to do this, DESPITE LOW-LEVEL ADVENTURERS REGULARLY GETTING ASSIGNED QUESTS TO DO EXACTLY THIS BECAUSE GOBLINS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PESTS.

I just marathoned the whole series a couple weeks ago, and while I've read/watched some of the hate on it, I don't really get it. For instance, the creator is basically treated like a paragon; so much of what I've seen was all "Monty would have definitely done this better!" as though they have a line on his thoughts from an alternate universe. Maybe he just didn't live long enough to become the villain.

What was the general consensus of volume 6?I just watched it last night.I thought it was better than 4+5 but worse than volume 3.It felt inconsistent to me.I really liked the apathy and the whole farm part but the final fight with the mech was boring as shit and had very little pay off.
It feels though as if rwby introduced too many mysteries too quickly and then answered them all too quickly.

I think this has long been proven inaccurate and unreliable since most of the girls wear heels and the Poser models have different proportions based on what outfit they're wearing. Monty refused to make nude models because he was terrified they'd leak and be used for porn. The only exception is Velvet.
