Is Anne the best female protagonist ever written by Disney?
>In not even been a month's worth of time and you've already gone from being called a hideous abomination to nature to being so beloved and respected by the town that if anything bad were to happen to you the entire town would go into a riot
>ever written by Disney? Not even for televison Not even close to best including films
Julian Rogers
>Tried to destroy the rainforest she was living in just to build a wooden yacht back to florida
Just because you want to fuck Brandy Harrington of the Florida Harrington doesn't mean she is a well written character
Nathaniel Bailey
Give examples.
Hudson Cruz
Maggie is better
Ayden Evans
Wait you mean that fucking fly? Again do you mean this because you want to fuck her or does she do something worthy of being called a good well rounded characters
and I mean well rounded not in a sexual sense
Ayden Torres
>Tried to destroy the rainforest she was living in just to build a wooden yacht back to Florida
And that's what makes her a far more interesting character and
For a modern female character she's pretty well written, fitting into plot organically and having actual rounded personality. It's not a high bar to clear, but it's good.
Camden Morris
>Kim >Well written Let's be honest, it was always Ron's show
Jacob Cook
She's just an older Thai Mabel Pines
A million times this
Joseph Jackson
I want to breed her
Anthony Thomas
>just an older Thai Mabel Pines Count on a tripfag to be this fucking wrong, about the only thing they have in common is genitalia
Liam Thompson
>She's just an older Thai Mabel Pines No. Mabel is not only an awful character, she also has nothing in common with Anne.
the way how she always act like a Jerk starting the problems is getting alittle in my nervs.
i know this is season 1 and they still testing waters but this better change on season 2 or i will get really annoyed
Matthew Thompson
shut up enter
Justin Bell
>the best female protagonist I would say Rapunzel
Robert Barnes
No,not even close
Also enjoy her because she is going to be the next star
Mason Martin
wubalubadubdub
Cameron Campbell
Rapunzel isn't that great honestly, Eugene is what really makes the show work
Asher Ross
at this point they should know better than committing genocide again
Hunter Rogers
Their relationship is just perfect
Zachary Reyes
She's okay, but it's unfortunate that, for the purposes of plot and conflict, she has to be so squeamish about gross stuff. When I first saw her, I was hoping she'd be this wonderful unwashed brown girl. Hell, she keeps wearing socks.. what even is that about? Still, she's pretty great. Just saying, she's constantly reminding me she could be better. I hope she learns to stop being such a dang teen girl. I think she's rapidly learning all of that, though, and ultimately she's going to realize her human friends aren't her friends.
Gavin Robinson
It's already canon that her standards have dropped low enough that she actually enjoys eating bugs.
Blake Sullivan
Any TF porn yet? Like Anne turning into a frog or something?
Damn it user, the Red Dwarf theme was seriously stuck in my head earlier today and now >GOLDFISH SHOALS >NIBBLING AT MY TOES >FUN FUN FUN >IN THE SUN SUN SUN
Liam Morales
The way I see it, a body swap episode where Anne becomes a frog is inevitable
Josiah Adams
What's her personality? Character arc? I know she's supposed to be asian, but she looks black to me.
They're setting up an interesting conflict, given that we see Sasha isn't a total bitch and is genuinely concerned about the other two. Keep in mind, she had been a prisoner this whole time, while Anne has lived a comparatively easier life with the Plantars, doing all kinds of goofy shit. She hasn't even *tried* to find her friends, knowing full well the valley is full of giant murderous creatures that could have already killed them. I mean, her phone is charged 10,000%, has she tried to call Sasha?
Robert Rivera
>other towns get to vote for mayors in towns they dont even live in thats a bit retarded
To be fair, where could she possibly look? She's on an island in an alternate dimension full of monsters, wandering aimlessly is a good way to get yourself killed. >I mean, her phone is charged 10,000%, has she tried to call Sasha? That's not how phones work user
Cooper Ortiz
I imagine its a municipality issue. There are urban and rural townships alike that have fairly wide reaching borders and areas that could be other towns elsewhere are folded into a singular district, either due to low population or political pressure from a more powerful neighbor.
The Valley has both issues. The township itself is less than a hundred people in a rural agricultural community while also paying homage to a wider political entity in the form of toads that keep a tight leash. The whole valley put together is barely a town by western standards and it's at best nominally self governing.
I personally think Rapunzel is written better than Anne, but I think Amphibia as a whole is probably their best show this decade. It knows what it wants to be way more than Gravity Falls did and none of the cast members has been proven useless yet
Ian Baker
You can tell the show has an obvious idea of where it wants to go and how it gets there and on second glance there's basically no fat on it.
Unlike say, Steven Universe, the relations between characters carries a lot of weight in a little space so even dumb townie bullshit loops back to be important. Ann busting her ass in a diner or winning over a critic matters because those people stick up for her when she needs them to and it makes a difference.
Likewise there's clearly a metaplot about the box and Annes friends but the bix clearly being drained or inactive and Annes friends being either stable or a mystery reduces the urgency of their situations. Unlike Gravity Falls the mystery isn't presented as a constant overriding thing we somehow get off every episode anyway.
And unlike Star vs, the actual themes are introduced and called attention to early in. Frogs are opressed by toads and live a hard life under incompetent leadership. They try and fail to change but just getting the status quo back counts as an achievement if you spend several episodes worse off. We also buy that someone like Hop Pop cam actually fight THE MAN because we see he can beat Sprig who is himself constantly fighting his friends or getting into physically active trouble. So for him to win or lose reinforces the internal logic of the show.
Evan Garcia
>there's no whinny character who complains all the time already way better than GF and star
Hunter Allen
Ann is cool because she has Mabels romance and drama obsessed traits but tries to actually integrate them into whatever is already going on instead of ME ME ME
Austin Perry
how the hell has that sock held up for a month of outdoor walking
Kayden Garcia
Clearly she can hold her own against most of the monsters. Point is, she hasn't even tried, hasn't brought them up to the family, hasn't really thought about them beyond that first arrival. She has no urgency to find out what happened to them, she's just sitting on her laurels hoping they'll find her.
I mean, clearly her phone isn't dying anytime soon, and do you believe Sasha doesn't have her phone on her at all times? Even if it's dead or got swiped, it's a better use than watching TV.
James Morales
She’s basically London Tipton but not rich or retarded
Bentley Sullivan
I didn't know Murrlogic wrote an ep
Dylan Rodriguez
I think she probably doesn’t know if they were teleported as well or not.
Daniel Anderson
Kermit reference when? They’ve already done the Dreamcast
It’s probably coated in gunk of some kind, making it as hard as Stone. I’m more confused by how she has access to so much stuff. Why was she carrying all of that in her school backpack?
They do Kermit references whenever the frogs open their mouths really wide. They're made to look like muppets.
Cooper Moore
The frogs in general look like Fraggles to me
Cooper Thompson
It's magic, user.
Grayson Rogers
Candace is a good character, but she's an antagonist, not a protagonist.
Parker Morgan
You do realize a phone does not work if it doesn't get a signal. A signal is in turn created by a network of cables, satellites and dishes all around the world. Anne is stuck in an alternate dimension, where there is NO signal.
Jayden Reed
Anne was so sexy with that hair and outfit
Josiah Jones
so the supposedly "best female character written by Disney" is THAT boring???
Definitely not the best, but she gets points for being one of the few female protagonists who is genuinely a terrible person. Not sure if I can say the same for characters like Star or Luz.
Hmm. Nice red-head. It would be a shame if she were suddenly... black.
Nicholas Cruz
Pretty sure W.I.T.C.H. is immune to that, since one of the 5 female MCs is already black (and the rest are racially diverse as a bonus). Two would be too weird, even for SJW execs.
Well, that and the entire franchise is cancelled.
Austin Perez
Me on the left
Gavin Smith
The hell you talking about, it's "goldfish shoals" Jaws doesn't rhyme with toes.
Zachary Roberts
Yet, she gets absolutely zero consequence for her actions.
Henry Sullivan
She's not even the best Disney TV female protagonist airing right now.
