Let’s try a new chart thread. This time, in 3x3 or whatever other size/shape you like, post your favourite big 2 stories. Only one story per character, don’t put 5 Spidey stories. Of course, if someone is in a team and works individually, you can put one for both (like, 1 superman story and one JL story where clark appears too)
Share and enjoy with other anons.

I don't know if limiting already-empty threads is the right move.
The J.M. DeMatteis Dr. Fate run is good shit user
It's my favorite superhero story ever, it's why it's in the center of the chart! Really phenomenal story.
It's not like we don't limit these threads other times. We make team-specific charts, harem charts and the like. Making a story chart is better than the same 20 of us posting the same 20 character charts.
I've seen harem or waifu chart threads reach bump limit. Favorite comic 3x3s get ten replies before they die.
I realized I intentionally made my chart in a way that has themes. The left column is solo books. The middle has focus on around two characters, usually, the third is a full team book.
Also, sort of dnd alignment? Like, red son aside, Clark is very LG. Bruce is more NG, but not full chaos, he works with the cops too. The f4 are good, but they mostly care about the happiness of their family.
Natasha does shady stuff, but she follows rules, works for the government (mostly) and has a personal code. And she's a good guy. Fate is very true neutral (muh order/balance) and the x-men just want freedom.
Slade is le, he has a code and honors contracts, but is a hired killer, doom wants power and to rule and the last is girls wanting to have (evil) fun.
*unintentionally
doing a 3v3 seems like a lot of work for nothing. I'll just do a list of 9
>Batman Year One
>Morrison's Batman
>Simonson's Thor
>Atlantis Chronicles
>Bendis' Daredevil
>New X-Men
>X Statix
>Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme
>All Star Superman
oops just saw I can't have 2 stories for one character. ugh.. okay, replace Batman Year One with Hawkworld

Take example from this user and try posting, more of you.
On villains...
> ALL Dcau Mr Freeze episodes & Sub Zero (even the new adventures ep), it's a god damn masterpiece.
> Iron Man Haunted (for the mandarin)
>> The Ultimate Doomsday trilogy + Hickman's Ultimates (for ultimate Reed/the maker)
> Azz/Bermejo's Luther graphic novel
On general comics (not in order)...
> Godzilla - The Half Century War
> The Titanosaurus issue of Godzilla Legends
> Thor Disassembled
> Thor - God of Thunder - God Butcher & God Bomb
> Hickman's Ultimates + Ultimate Hawkeye
> Hickman's Avengers, New Avengers, Avengers World, Infinity & Secret Wars (minus the arc with Larroca & the evil copy Avengers).
> Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force
> Superman Red Son
> Watchmen
> Luther by Azz/Bermejo
> Iron Man Haunted
> Ron Marz's Witchblade and all the spin off events & mini series (angelus, first born, artifacts, broken trinity)
> John's Aquaman run & JL tie in issues
> Batwoman Elegy and her new 52 issues up till when Williams left the book.
> Rucka's Punisher Run
> The Wake
I had a chart for all this but it's been lost to time
Red Son - 8/10
While this doesnt say much, Red Son is one of the best Superman books of all time, argubly the greatest Elseworld revolving around the character, considering the world building as well as being one of the rare Superman books to convincingly pull off a more morally gray version of the Man of Steel.
Batman RIP 7/10
Are you referring to Morrison's Batman as a whole or just the RIP storyline? Because Batman RIP is a thoroughly entertaining Grant Morrison head trip, but no where near as good as his run later got with Batman and Robin and Batman Inc.
JM Dematteis's Dr. Fate 3/10
Aside from the annual, I absolutely loathed this run. The new age bullshit peddled in this series could've at least have made the series still tolerable if it wasn't drenched in the hoakey sitcom antics that were in chic with the Justice League titles at the time. Tremendous art by McManus however.
Morrison's X Men 7/10
Contains indisputably some of the greatest story arcs not just of the X Men franchise but of Marvel's entire catalog. However it has its weak storylines, and some truly horrific Igor Kordey art.
Priest's Deathstroke 3/10
The worst type of bad story. Not one that is so bad that it can be enjoyably awful, but merely bad in it's inability to tell a compelling narrative. Boring, overrated dreck.
Gotham Sirens 4/10
Not bad, but not especially great either.
Dini gets confused as a great writer while merely being serviceable due to his level of quality still lightyears ahead of a lot of the garbage DC was publishing at the time.
I haven't read the Doctor Doom and Strange crossover, Marvel Fanfare Black Widow, nor Hickman's FF, unfortunately. Not a big Marvel guy.
Harsh.
welp guess i need to go read Atlantis Chronicles, good taste user
...
I am genuinely curious, the Andrew Benett saga, the making Darkseid feek love, the fasting guy, nabu reborn into human as the Stranger tells the story like a bedtime story to a girl, everyone I've talked to about this run so far adores the DeMatteis Fate run. Can you expand on why you dislike it?

What's bottom right?
Seven Soldiers
>Hourman
>Ditko Spider Man
>Daredevil Born Again
>Moore's Supreme
>Kirby's Thor
>Nextwave
>Seven Soldiers
Great list, I love all of these. I don't know the one between Nextwave and Seven Soldiers.
Thanks, Yea Forumsbro. That's Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett's Power Company for DC, basically a high-class Heroes for Hire from 2002. I almost put Untold Tales of Spidey instead but Dem Rules.
>Big 2
>Supreme
I want to be mad but I can't.
Didn't DC own the imprint that published Supreme?
No, you're thinking of the ABC books. Supreme was Image/Extreme, then Awesome.
Ah, right.
I'll have to read it at some point. Haven't gotten to it yet
it has two parts, 4 chapter prologue, then the main story. Also, the -by other writer- 3 issue Immortal Dr Fate mini can be used as a general intro to the character too.
