Disney never ever had a two season rule, it was a 65 episode rule, and that was abandoned like an entire decade ago.
The reason Nick tends to only give shows a couple of seasons is because unless there's serious production issues it's standard practice to greenlight kids' shows for another season ahead of airing just to keep staff on-board in case it turns out to be a hit, and Nick tends to (stupidly, shortsightedly) make up their minds on shows within a month of premiering them.
It's entirely possible, perhaps even likely, that they'll never finish S2 of Glitch Techs, just like they never finished S2 of Invader Zim. Because they're a bunch of moronic cowards
