All Might looks better visually, has a cooler superhero name, is a more interesting person, and most importantly, is a supporting character of the series instead of burning the reader out on being an overpowered undefeatable MC.

Better Character how? His marriage is destroyed. His son is aged and he missed several years of his life. His father became crazy/evil and almost became a mass murder. His entire existence was retcon into continuity.

That perceived weakness of superhero comics is also its strength. It allows you to get multiple different and interesting interpretations of the same character. It gives you All Star, and Red Son, and Secret Identity.

I love manga as well as comics, and I'm glad they do things differently. Different is good.
