How can Sam become the new captain America when he’s not even a superhuman?

...technology, like he's been using this whole time to do superhero shit?

The same way he became Falcon. Bullshit technology.

It was either him or the war criminal assassin.

He's cheap TV budget Captain America.

This is the thing that always bothered me about Sam-Cap.

If he's not superhuman then how does he fly?

Poor decisions in regard to writing.
His power set does not lend itself to carrying a shield on your back and throwing it at people, unlike Bucky.

His superpower is being black.

he can keep his guns and gadgets. captin only punches stuff, he can use nets and rubber bullets, and tasers to make up for what cap does

It was a wasted, tacked on thing that wasn't necessary - and really, the only reason it was done was as a teaser for the Falcon Cap/Bucky shit they are going to put on their streaming site.

Especially since they had Falcon be dickish to Bucky during and especially at the end of Iron Man 4 - Avengers 2.5, there was really no real reason for Bucky to be in agreement about it, and they didn't really establish enough of a relationship between Steve and Sam past what they did in The Winter Soldier and a very minimal bit in CW.

It would have made more sense for the shield not be in that scene and for the streaming service to have some dramatic tension between Bucky and Sam fighting over the legacy of Steve and then someone else (SWORD or whatever they are setting up now) decides.

Wilson is already a hero, we don't need either Bucky Cap or Falcon Cap, except for stupid comic synergy and stupid Disney Plus synergy.

Wings.

Don't you have eyes?

He can't.
There will never be a "new Captain America"

Captain America shared his “Super Soldier Serum” with him He pozzed him

Well, Steve is only "peak human", so Sam can technically just train to that level via rigorous exercise and training.

Falcap never made any sense to me. How the hell is he supposed to throw the shield and fly at the same time? Furthermore, Cap's fighting style is kind of his thing, and I don't think Sam can replicate it. Falcon is cool, so they don't really need to give him a new mantle

It's not our job to solve Disney's mistakes

The dude ran down a moving vehicle and tore the damn car door off like it was paper right after getting juiced. Before he even got used to his new body!

>can’t throw the shield with enough strength to fuck shit up
>won’t have the reaction time to catch it

Without the serum he’s fucked

MCU Steve is beyond peak human. He held a helicopter from taking off with his arms

Why didn’t Steve give the Sheild to Bucky, his oldest and most trusted friend?

You know, the guy who has abilties and powers on par with Captain America, ones actually suited to using the shield?

He could then try and redeem his winter soldier days by being the new cap

Also they could paint some white and blue with the red star to make it more murrican

Should have given it to Batroc Tbh.

I'm sure strongmen can do that, we just haven't seen the real peak of human strength yet.

616 Steve yanked down a helicopter and has tossed around multiple tons himself. MCU Cap isn't "beyond peak" if he is outright inferior to his comic version who is explicitly stated to be just 'peak'.

>Why didn’t Steve give the Sheild to Bucky, his oldest and most trusted friend?
Because Bucky litterally turned him down and also is suffering from severe brainwashing and Mental Illness. Are you gonna ask why Tony didn't give his best fat friend with no combat experience or training whatsoever a suit but gave the black guy one?

You’re an idiot, and you have no idea what peak human ability is.

Batman is a peak human, and he’s already unrealistic.

Claiming, MCU cap is just a peak human is insane.

I don’t care how many leg days you do at the gym, no “peak human” can do this

Cap is the peak of humanity, not just his own genetic potential. In the comics he has crazy strength feats on top of Bucky outright saying steve is 3 times as strong and fast as him.

MCU Cap is even more blatantly superhuman.

As long as he has the ideals and abilities to defend them, whether it's through a serum or technology, anyone can be Captain America.

"Peak Human" being something you can attain through training has never, ever made sense either as every individual has different genetic potential. I'm going to call BS on every non-powered hero having perfect genetics.

Why would a black man carry a shield with a racist symbol on it?

He literally can’t use the shield properly without serum strength and reflexes though. So what’s the point

Same reason a white girl taught ancient chinese secrets

>cap chooses to go back to Jim Crow days

Why didn’t Sam call his cracker ass out on this?

Captain Falcon is actually a decent character in the comics
I just hope Disney doesn't ruin him like they did with Drunken Carol Danvers

Cap isn't racist nor is he a Democrat

I'm taking the piss out of the "peak human" bullshit. I'm aware that it's a stupid ill-defined classification and that neither 616 or MCU Cap fit the definition, despite official Marvel sources claiming as such. Believing that Sam, or any other non-juiced human for that matter, can fill his shoes on a physical level is asinine.

That said, Sam's setup is already pretty impressive even if he isn't superhuman like Steve. He can fly, so that's already a huge plus, and his wings are pretty versatile as an offensive and defensive weapon, along with Redwing.

"Er, Cap...This is nice and all...but it's not very useful, you see...I'm The flying around shooting shit guy."

He will fly less in the Disney Plus series to save money.

That's racist

Ah gotcha. I've come to really hate the term.

And I agree that falcon already has what he needs to be at the level Captain America needs to be at.

Negro's got the spirit. Bothers to continue helping others even without his technology. It's always "Awww shit I'm not gonna do this" but does it anyway. Can you imagine Bucky trying to cheer up a kid? they probably know him more as a terrorist. And as a plus Mackie will be in avengers press tours from now on.

Honestly given the vast difference in their ability, old man Steve is unironically probably stronger physically.

Comic Bucky is surprisingly good with kids.

Wait nevermind he did kill some kid's dad recently.

I genuinely have no interest in him which is a shame because I loved steve.

What are the chances they use this to ruin USAgent?

>Why didn’t Steve give the Shield to a man who was on an international terrorist watch list who also killed many people while under brainwashing that he has no defense against.
Idk breh

woosh, nigga

Same way all the other nonsense works in marvel universe its fiction

US Agent will be Ross's official Captain America.

As Sam was a fugitive and worked with fugitives, the US government might decide he is an unacceptable choice.

US Agent might become one of the Thunderbolts.

Comic Bucky isn't nearly as sullen as MCU. In part because he basically went through therapy by....being Captain America.

Does it take a superhuman to use the shield? He can use it to block bullets instead of relying on blocking with his wings, which causes him to stop flying.

He should be called the Eagle when he's filling in for Cap. The shield doesn't mesh with his other powers at all and would just be cumbersome. He doesn't really need it.

Bucky will use the shield in the D+ series at some point, definitely.

Sam will carry the title, but they will share the responsibility of Steve's legacy.

Oh I agree with you completely, thats why its going to be a buddy show.

I just feel like people going "hurr he was a terrorist he can't be Cap" haven't even read the comic where that exact thing happens.

Who gives a fuck?

Because leading the Avengers is about having moral wear with-all to do the right thing. Having proper moral judgement is more important in leadership than super-human ability.

I wasn't a big fan of Sam as Capt in the comics, but neither was I particularly jazzed about Ultron being made by Tony Stark and the "Age of Ultron" not being an epic time-travel caper that was later applied to Endgame. The movies' stories are different from the comics, and they've had passionate writers with enough wins that it should be reasonable on the small screen, I hope.

>Bucky literally turned him down
When?

It was pretty stupid to give him the shield. There were specific things to the serum that made it possible for Cap to use it the way he did; since this was nothing more than an expensive teaser for the Bucky Sam streaming series, they should just have created a new shield for Falcon or something else.

>my fan fic trumps your eye sight and that of everyone else on the planet

>Because leading the Avengers is about having moral wear with-all to do the right thing
Ugh

Steve Rodger represented the american dream for a 1940s american. Bucky represents the modern american dream for immigrants. You can come to America and make a new name for yourself and no matter your past do something good. What does Steve Rodgers captain america represent a nigger given a welfare title he didn't earn?

Bucky killed JFK.

It would be like making John Wilkes Booth Captain America in a Marvel What-if special.

Bucky just wants to go back to Wakanda to get some African Queen pussy.

he literately cannot, the serum helped transform Cap into a near super-human with bullet timer abilities, there's no physiological way for Falcon to replicate the speed and accuracy of shield throwing that Cap can, plus most attempts at recreating the exact effects of the serum have typically resulted in mishap or villainous reiterations due to the fuckups of the chemicals

i'd really feel more comfortable if you'd try to contain your bigotry, thanks.

It's okay, Sam's not A FILTHY MUTIE

>sam flying with the shield
>holds it close to the front of his body
>has his wings fold in
>drops at an angle
>crashes through a warehouse roof
>lands on top of a terrorist
>chucks the shield and ricochets all over the place and takes out a few guys
>shield flies high
>sam gets a small boost and launches himself into the air and brings his wings back out
>catches the shield and uses the momentum to spin around in the air
>uses all of that to chuck it super fucking hard at some super strong enemy
Why do people think he's going to only chuck it while he's flying?

Man, that is pretty bad CGI looking at it slowed down

>his oldest
Maybe
>and most trusted friend?
Nah that person clearly became Sam not to mention he was Steve's biggest support. Not to mention it's very comic accurate since Steve leaves Sam his shield in the comics when he goes old and before that there's a story where Sam becomes Cap when he thinks Steve died.

BuckyCap only happens because of Tony.

Also MCU Bucky just wants to rest and be left alone.

The more comics advanced the more superhuman Cap got. I remember during the Kooky Quartet's tenure when Swordsman threatened to kill him by pushing him off a building or in Avengers Disassembled when Hawkeye and Tony freak out because She-Hulk drops a car on top of him (he only survives because he hides under the hax shield).

>How can Sam become the new captain America when he’s not even a human?
FTFY

Hes black and that makes him peak human

He wasn't even than sullen when he was brainwashed as Winter Soldier since he still retained his core personality and he was made to be loyal by having his memories be erased and told he was with Department H/Red Room. That's why he would eventually become a problem and hard to control and why they had to mindwipe him and start from zero. Eventually they just resort to use him for missions and freeze him when they didn't need him anymore.

What

If you bothered to read comics then you'd know Bucky will never be Steves choice for the Cap mantle. BuckyCap was always Tonys choice.

Sam will get into Sharon Carter's pants.

I like the idea of him and bucky sharing the title much more then just one of them taking over the title

Not bad cgi. Bad phisic.

That kick would just bend the car, not move it. And that car moving that way wouldn't sent that guy flying not even half that distance.
