Defend their existence
Legacy characters are stupid
Why would I?
They literally suck ass.
So much so that I call Falcon Falcon even when he’s dressed like Cap
Super families are always good
Oh hey it's 1/1000th of the Young Justice season 4 cast.
>man who will never have a legacy bitching about legacies other people have and pass on
pottery
I literally cant.
Legacy characters fucking blow.
Agreed. Miniature and gender-bent versions of previously established characters is uninteresting and a sign of creative bankruptcy.
legacy characters rule, go read starman marvel shill
Lol, Greg
easy way to introduce new characters without having to do a lot of work
see how easy it is to make a character black or latin?
it's cheap, but it works
what are you going to do? abandon a character that has been popular for 80 years?
You can have a super family without having legacies
Defend your existence
They last longer than straight up new characters
>Legacy characters
back in my day they were just called sidekicks
i dunno, maybe it's just me but i prefer when they get a new super hero identity instead of taking an already existing one
2 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 1
-Familiarity
-Easy money
-dont have to overthink an origin
LOW RISK
At least the concept of Robins growing up, moving on, or dying and being replaced by a new Robin makes sense. But it gets kind of dumb when there's a dozen former Robins and Batgirls running around at the same time adding fuck-all to the mythos.
That's because legacy characters and sidekicks are not the same thing.
i think i got the concepts yeah
I'm just saying, I don't think having Damien Wayne be Robin forever and things to that effect would really be a bad thing.
Fuck off Didio
Starman and Stargirl.
Most of the JSA legacy characters were decent.
we know he isn't robin forever though, we know that he becomes both the demon's head and batman in the future
Legacy characters are cool because:
- Its a well known power set/brand name with a new personality. That's fun. Think Wally West or every new GL.
- Its a paralel universe where the original hero died and a new generation takes the mantle but offers something new. Think Miles Morales and Terry McGinnis.
turning a character black in an alternate universe dosen't make them a legacy character, it makes them an affirmative action negro. Spiderverse, while a stellar achievement in american animation, is not canon.
Yeah but that sucks ass.
The demons head makes sense because it’s a leadership role in the league of assassins.
But Bruce Wayne is Batman, nothings changing that.
terry however is a legacy character beacuse bruce gave him his legacy
Batman isn't alive in the third dimension a hundred and fifty years into the future though
Wait. Is only the demons head allowed to use the Lazarus pit in the future?
No.
Legacies like Damian, Wally or the like are alright. Legacies like Reee-Red are cancer.
Maybe but they suck more ass
Look man, you can either admit two characters have basically the same shtick or you can not. This is the former, the latter happens a lot too. There's plenty of room for both.
>Look at these fools. They believe I use even 1% of my full cast.
The Hulk cast wasn’t that big. Neither was X-Factor.
I like red haired Jason.
>best boy has best hair
I like it too.
