Iron Man 4 was pretty good
Iron Man 4 was pretty good
So many bad jokes
Peter lost all his humor
MJ relationship feels forced
If I wasn't with my brother I would have fucking left when Fury started chewing Peter out and Peter just fucking took it. Thw Spider-Man I read wouldn't have took that kind of shit.
Should have seen Godzilla.
Girls in the row behind me called MJ ugly a few times. How come someone so young already has eyebags? They didn't even bother removing it with CGI or make-up.
Who was blonde girl at prague?
another skrull
>HURRRR IRON BOY
HOW MANY OF THESE FUCKING THREADS DO I HAVE TO SEE EVERY GODDAMN DAY. IS Yea Forums CAPABLE OF ANYTHING BUT SPAMMING THE SAME FUCKING THREAD OVER AND OVER FOR MONTHS ON END
Can't you faggots just make waifu threads, at least those aren't complete wastes of time
i had to force myself to sit still until the action started. the entire movie was mediocre at best. with gyllenhall being the only tolerable part.
>Iron Man 4
That was Iron Man 8.
The movie was premiered today, dude.
And they wasted another good actor on a mediocre role. And killed another villain.
and you mongoloids have been sperging about it for weeks prior
>weeks
Years, still doesn't make it a lie.
This
THEY FUCKING RUINED MYSTERIO AAAAAAAAAAAA
>And killed another villain.
>He thinks Mysterio is dead
You feel for his trick user. Just like Peter
You can hide threads, user. No one is forcing you to reply.
>Spider Twink, Progeny of Iron Manlet
one job, OP
I liked everything about him other than his origin.
I don't get it.
What's not to get?
"no illusions present".
Next movie will have him go "Retards, you know you can fool people without CGI right?". I mean, seriously, he didn't even check for a pulse!
That being said, next movie will probably be doctor octopus not him; They only have 2 members of the sinister six (3 if you count Scorpion in jail), and its too early to spring it. One thing nu-marvel is good for is patience (they waited almost 20 years for infinity wars).
What's bad about him? I get that people hate on him being an ex Stark employee, but honestly it makes him more credible of a threat than just being a old style FX guy-- previously he was a pretty big joke amongst the villains, while this makes him pretty terrifying in the right circumstances.
Granted, he probably lost a shit ton of his "power" from the loss since he relied on his resources and team. Hell, that's one thing I liked most about these recent spiderman villains. They have TEAMS. They're not just some single guy, they work because they have a shit ton of support backing them up.
>They only have 2 members of the sinister six (3 if you count Scorpion in jail)
4 if you count Shocker who's where ever.
I'm also expecting Chameleon soon as some way to get peter his Secret identity back
Alot of people have been saying dmitri from the movie will become the chameleon, but I think that's pretty retarded.
Though if Dmitry turned out to be a skrull too his shapeshifting ability could make it easy to make him an impersonator.
That didn't work for me. I don't want Peter fighting disgruntled Stark employees over and over.
everyone disagrees with you
I liked the nightmare visions we got from Mysterio
To be fair, Vulture wasn't a stark employee, he was fucked over by a group employed by stark. Its more that he was put out of business indirectly by stark. And he used alien tech, not Stark tech.
I think they've gotten evil stark employees out of their system anyways, Scorpion, kingpin and kraven are all possibilities that should be independent of stark.
Shield employee
I hope the get rid of MJ and bring in either gwen or felicia. I honestly hate the current MJ and find her too shrewish.
And this time without turning Gwen into carnage like marvel seems to like to do lately.
Carol's competition
>IRON MAN BAD
Iron Man isn't bad. Spider-Man isn't Iron Man.
This is a good way to put it. Iron man's never had any real importance to spiderman's core character and plot arcs before (outside of civil war), so his increasing importance to spiderman rubs some people the wrong way.
Look at it this way: if you had a Superman movie where he was being trained and mentored by wonder woman, you can see how people might dislike that, correct?
I would if it was the only cinematic version of him. We already got the kino Raimi movies and the Amazing movies, uh, exist. So I'm less annoyed about the third cinematic incarnation of Spider-man changing things up.
YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY DON'T YOU
The Garfield movies weren't SMINO (Spider-Man in Name Only). The MCU actors even laughed off his Jewishness. Then again, so did Slott.
are you saying the current spiderman is in name only?
>SMINO
Yep. His MCU story's an amalgam of Miles and Riri. His cast's also poached from Miles'. In their quest to make Peter Parker in the MCU different from the 5 movies before, they got rid of a lot of things about the original Peter - Origin story, religion, Ben, May, his parents, poverty, intellect, part time jobs and living paycheck to paycheck, friends, MJ and most important, his secret identity and his choice in revealing that to the world.
I'm sure others have said it better. Don't get me wrong, I was entertained by FFH. I just don't see it as a Spider-Man movie. While Tobey and Andrew movies had their faults, Sony didn't deviate too much from the comics. This MCU version looks like it set out to do so deliberately.
I'm very clever.
Anyone who's friends with thor and still believes in jesus as their lord stretches disbelief.
Hell, there's mutants who's explicit superpower is "come back to life after dying" so it makes it even stranger.
>They have TEAMS. They're not just some single guy, they work because they have a shit ton of support backing them up.
Yeah I really like that as well. Reminds me of one issue of Webspinners where Doc Ock says he has to resort to heists and stuff that he considers beneath him purely because staff and resources cost shitloads of money.
It kind of defeats the point of an acronym if you then just write what it stands for.
>Ben
He hasn't been seen or directly mentioned aloud, but he clearly exists.
It's clear Tony Stark is the MCU's Uncle Ben. Compare the one or two mentions Ben got in passing and initials on a suitcase vs everything Tony got.
>Peter can't go ten minutes without crying over Tony Stark's corpse
>Refuses to ever mention his dead uncle's name whatsoever
>Aunt May is already fucking Tony Stark's chauffeur
I don't think he exists
This. In the comics Mysterio was my favorite Doctor Strange villain and whenever he'd show up you knew shit was about to get real (Old Man Logan, 'nuff said!) but in this movie they ruined everything about him.
>hurr his powers aren't actually real herkaderk!
No I'm not going to spoiler that shit, it's cancer and everyone deserves to know they're not getting the Master of the Mystic Arts they grew up with in this movie.
>Gwen
>for Peter
Ha ha ha ha.
Ooh poor you.
Peter's suitcase had his initials on it.
Homecoming was IM4, this was Iron Lad: The Succesor
Whatever you say, casual.
His powers were never real you mongoloid.
Confirmed for never reading the comics. Cringe af and obvious Disney shills
How in the fuck does one person, never mind two, fall for such an obvious joke post
>Peter has Ganke
THEY'VE TAKEN MILES' ENTIRE FUCKING SUPPORTING CAST, OH NO
>I'm pretending to be retarded!
>2019
I didn't know people still did this.
Tony Stark dies
>pic related
Uncle Ben dies (maybe we don't know, bad things happen or something)
>thanks for the suitcase asshole
At least he's only pretending, what's your excuse
>4
You are WAY off
Iron Man
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3: The Avengers
Iron Man 4: Iron Man 3
Iron Man 5: Age of Ultron
Iron Man 6: Civil War
Iron Man 7: Spidey's Homecoming
Iron Man 8: Infinity War
Iron Man 9: Endgame
This, and she’s flat-chested. No noticeable tits from what I could see.
>This level of samefagging
But why.jpg
>but honestly it makes him more credible of a threat than just being a old style FX guy-- previously he was a pretty big joke amongst the villains
He was a joke among people who hadn't read any of his stories and just saw a fishbowl.
I get why they went with the ex-scientist thing but the ex-vfx or sfx route would have been super resonant. And it'd be nice to ease in MCU audiences to the more outlandish world that superheroes can give.
I don't care if they change things up. Just look at Spider-verse.
Yet too many of the creative choices with the MCU Spider-man just go against the core concepts of his story and frankly, I'm not impresses with the replacements.
Spoken like a true Ultron drone army.
I think it got the core fundamentals of what a good Spider-Man story should be about (the clash of identities and the weight of responsibility) better than Homecoming (about the only time they seriously factored in in that movie was during the drive to the dance and immediatelly afterwards). It had Peter make serious mistakes with real consequences and then made him grit his teeth and work to make things right. The romance is still Disney Channel tier, but Michelle ended up being a more fleshed out character involved in the story and less of a stupid crush like Liz.
But then most of the movie still revolves around the MCU connections and the Tony Stark legacy, which spoils the broth. The movie also still lacked a genuine emotional drive and melodramatic pathos that makes the best Spidey stories shine. Being an okay-if-loose Spider-Man reinterpretation makes FFH by default the best portrayal of the character in the MCU yet, but it's like showering it with faint praise given how atrocitous the previous showings were.
And you know, if the whole point of the movie is that Peter can't become the next Iron Man and should just figure out what the hell he wants to do with his own life, the turning point shouldn't come from a classic member of an Iron Man supporting cast, followed by Peter creating his suit with Stark's tech while Back in Black, the song that introduced Iron Man in the very first movie, plays in the background. Way to kneecap your own fucking message, movie. Why couldn't Aunt May be there to do the pep talk? Why couldn't she give him the suit she made herself? Give her something to do in these movies, it's been three years and her character is still "the hot eccentric aunt".
>And it'd be nice to ease in MCU audiences to the more outlandish world that superheroes can give.
In the same franchise where talking trees and raccoons fight against genocidal purple aliens, what 'easing into' do audiences really need? Especially when the only thing you're talking about correcting is making Mysterio an evil James Cameron.
>Why couldn't Aunt May be there to do the pep talk? Why couldn't she give him the suit she made herself?
That'd be cool, but I'm assuming the whole "losing his secret identity" thing is going to play into that.
I thought they tapped into the stage artist background pretty well with his rehearsal and numerous moments of bullshittery
From the reveal onward, they went far further into the flamboyant showman territory than I ever expected them to go. I don't think the backstory is really that relevant, if Mysterio acts the exact way he should. It's not like a personal grudge against Stark motivated his character beyond the initial push either. His goal isn't to destroy Stark's good name or screw with his associates and company now that he can't stop him, it's just taking advantage of the window of opportunity to gain recognition he wanted.
The problem is, as much as they might want to tell the story of Spider-man breaking away and becoming his own hero, Spider-man + Iron Man together just makes more money.
I don't trust them not to keep retelling the story of Peter's new relationship to Tony, no matter how many times the films end with Peter "moving forward".
Heck I'll bet that mourning and "letting go of Tony" will be the subplot if Norman comes in.
Well they got J.K back so there is that
>previously he was a pretty big joke amongst the villains, while this makes him pretty terrifying in the right circumstances
He was terrifying even in comics as seen in Old Man Logan.
Or Guardian Devil
You’re not supposed to,skip days on Adderall, user.
>And killed another villain
>Mastee of illusion
Sure bud
Thor is not exactly an actual god
You say this like that’s bad
>some cunt who emotionally abused Peter dies
>Peter cries
>man who raised Peter and instilled on him the values of good and the burden of power dies
>no fucka given
Fuck the MCU
It's not if you are a homosexual
