The Rocko's Modern Life movie was doomed from the start with a premise like "Rocko goes to 2019".
It should have ignored the literal passing of time, the movie should have passed time more symbolically.
Start the movie off with Heffer dying, and Rocko having to speak at his combination funeral/BBQ. With Rocko dealing with having to give a terrible speech, and having to learn how to cope with the loss of his shitty best friend and grow past that. Also probably make it their last interaction while he was alive be a fight.
Then after the funeral have Heffer's ghost appear to haunt/possess Rocko until he completes Heff's final wishes.

i'm completely satisfied about this, i mean i was expecting just one hour of Zim. This is great news for me.
What other shows will get revivals in the future? Will it mostly be 90's cartoons like Angry Beavers, Catdog, Real Monsters etc.. or will Nick also do 2000's shows like Jimmy Neutron, Teenage Robot, Danny Phantom etc..

With what I've read with the other post, It comes across as more nihilistic comedy, and It's being done to death. BEING being a key word, because it's still happening. Rocko was prime 90's/early 2000's Nickolodean cartoon. It was to nick as johnny bravo was to CN. Dirty references and innuendo an adult dark comedy does not make. If anything that was par for the course of cartoon at the time.
You are an idiot. Rocko was a cartoon that strayed away from the typical cartoon plots to have the main character deal with oddly mundane (garbage day, car breaking down) or more 'heavy' topics in a funny way, like losing his job, neighbors seducing you, abandonment by real dad.
Yes, Rocko could easily have dealt with the topic of death in a funny way and it would be entirely in tone for the show to do so.
