Could you do yourself a favor and stop lying to yourself. Ok ko is a visual mess with little understanding of the basic principles of animation movement is jerky at best and the use of exageration hinders itself because of its over use. The shows stories are barebones and it's morals are inconsistent because the writers care more about making the some characters appear more compelling than others because of bias. The throwbacks and references to older genres and shows comes off as basic fan service and pandering at best. In short the show is garbage a it's no wonder that it's getting canceled.

TKO served as a good way for KO to think about his needs more which worked out in the end because even his mom thought her son deserved more cookies. How does KO react instead of taking this moment as a learning curb and let things be bygones with TKO? He decided to punish him instead, severing or completely undoing all the development that they both were building for the first two seasons. Now TKO will be out for blood when KO revisits that part of him.

I liked this round of episodes, but this is the one thing that left me feeling uneasy. KO just came off as so cold and out of character when locked away TKO especially considering he fixed everything that TKO messed up. What it should have been is during a fight TKO would take over and go overboard hurting one of KO's friends/family in the process. Doing that over a mess feels like overkill.

I was thinking of the K.O./T.K.O. angle, and had a theory: What if Professor Venomous is the T.K.O. to Laserblast's K.O.? Like, after the sandwich incident with him, Mr Gar and Carol, instead of starting the process of healing emotionally, he let the anger of what happened manifest itself within his subconscious as Prof. Venomous. Eventually, the hate would completely take over to the point that it would be Venomous that would banish Laserblast to his subconscious, completing the transformation.

Just saw the episode "Chip's Damage" and finally realized my biggest issue with this show's writing: they started with the monologue they wanted at the end and worked backwards from there.

He had free will, Foxtail only dialed it down to control him.
The real reason why KO was disappointed at him and it was not a big deal he died is because he was a metaphor for an actor/musician getting sexual accusations or a sportsman being outed for using steroids.

The problem arise on the fact that in canon he was also a victim being reprogrammed by Foxtail who everyone is fine with for some reason.
