The entire male cast of this is dead now, including Banshee.
The entire male cast of this is dead now, including Banshee
There should be a rule where you can only kill a character if a) you created them or b) you wrote them as a regular character in a book for at least a year. It would cut down on people killing characters they don't know or care about or have any investment in just for shock value.
Wait, IS Mondo dead? I thought he was just haphazardly dumped into limbo because they had no ideas for him after the "he was secretly a bad guy" twist.
>yet another entirely superfluous amount of X-Men are dead
Good.
These are long-established characters with distinct personalities and legacies we're talking about here, not some literally who recent editions. Especially Chamber and Banshee.
Rosenberg would be out of the job.
As opposed to being shot in the head, blown up in a bus, depowered or pretty much forgotten like the New Mutants v2 cast, the Generation X got off light compared to them.
Why are the X-men so bad at protecting teenagers?
Banshee and White Queen being dead is retarded.
Good riddance to the rest.
Skin was crucified, and got his name spelled wrong on his goddamn tombstone.
Editorial edict.
He also never got an on-screen funeral, and Jono never even fucking reacted to his best friend's death even though he was literally present when it happened. Jesus Christ I'll never forgive Austen for what he did to Angelo, he was easily the most fun character in Gen X.
>sentinels just chilling
top kek
How many of the kids on that bus actually count as "long-established characters with distinct personalities"? How many of the kids that Rosenberg has killed genuinely qualify?
One of those Sentinels is War Machine.
Decimation was stupid.
Emma is still kicking.
All the kids that died on the bus were introduced during the New X-men series, so they were basically throwaway characters. The young mutants that Rosenberg's killed have each been around for 15+ years, some of them even 25+ or 35+.
Honestly I'm betting none of Rosenbergs deaths will stick since Hickman is openly saying he's rebooting the franchise.
>The young mutants that Rosenberg's killed have each been around for 15+ years, some of them even 25+ or 35+.
Being angry about Sunspot, Wolfsbane or Chamber is understandable, they were distinct characters that had lots of development. The newer kids less so. Blindfold at least had a distinct personality, it's difficult to imagine anybody really caring much about characters as generic as Triage, Loa or Velocidad.
>Fucking sentinels on a x-funeral
Fuck you, Loa was Namor's grand daughter.
this makes me sad, the first 30 issues will never get an omnibus
Chamber is one of the coolest looking Marvel characters
Connecting her to a more important character doesn't give her a distinct personality, it just gives Namor a generic teen sidekick, something which did not help his books sell.
They look like douches so good riddance
I would also like to institue a rule where writers have to stay on a book for at least five years preferably more.
John Ostrander Suicide Squad
Peter David Hulk
Claremont X-Men
Mark Gruenwald's Cap
Wolfman Teen Titans.
Fucking kek
How many acres is that graveyard do you think?
>It's revealed to be a sort of pocket dimension that keeps going and going and going...
>I would also like to institue a rule where writers have to stay on a book for at least five years preferably more.
>Books lasting more than 1-2 years
>In 2019
user, we have some bad news for you.
I want the 80s to come back...
Imagine the end of it's a wonderful war but it's dead x-men.
Man I really miss Gen X... Shit went downhill once they killed off Synch.
bump
I mean those first three are literal fan favorites, so yeah obviously a bunch of people are gonna be pissed if some hack writer kills them off in bullshit ways for shock value.
He's Sid Vicious with a flaming mouth and chest. There's no universe where that isn't cool.
I think that the Mondo in Gen X was some sort of construct who died.
The real one showed up in X-Men Blue during Secret Empire
I like how they killed Triage while basically saying 'we don't need him, we have Elixir.'
I always hate becoming attached to a character because I know I can't trust writers to keep them safe.
Chamber is one of my favorite Marvel characters and the fucking moment he showed up in Rosenberg's run I was immediately filled with dread because I already knew what was about to happen.
They're constantly adding more space to the pocket dimension.
Chamber is a fave of mine (and Generation X is very much "my" team)
I feel ya. Hopefully Hickman's run will reboot all this nonsense. But I doubt it.
Oh fuck, I misread the OP.
>Peter David Hulk
>Mark Gruenwald's Cap
>Wolfman Teen Titans
>the slotterer
yikes
You think that's bad , Carol Danvers showed up to the funeral just to tell Cyclops they should sign up with the Registration act
I love how Carol claims to love the X-Men for helping her, but only ever uses it to get leverage for something she wants from them.
Honestly the Dark Age of comics was the best age.
