Jesus fuck, why was that line in the movie? There was no reason to put such a sad moment right at the end, there wasn’t even any comedic value to it. Made me leave the cinema feeling bad.

It was there to set him up as a sympathetic character in the future, so they could build off of it to make him the sad rich kid with neglectful parents, explaining why he's such a bully.
Problem is, that's so contrary to what the character should have been and so overplayed that nobody is going to care. I really don't give a fuck that they decided to cast Flash as a nonwhite guy, but whoever decided to make him into a pathetic snarky rich kid is an idiot.
I liked both Homecoming and Far From Home a lot, but Flash's character has been a real weak point for both films I think.
