While you make some very pragmatic points I feel you are missing the issue that some people may see with this. If an artist is going back and removing stuff from their content because they feel pressured to do so from the crowds that dictate what is right and wrong then it makes people question if they really are doing it because their views have changed and no longer align with the content that they made in the past or they are just changing it because they feel pressured from the reactionaries and do it to avoid any potential negative reaction from them. It may not be censorship but it could potentially be a case of suppression.

Sometimes, it's google saying that a video is not advertiser friendly, even when advertisers might not care or actually WANT to put ads on a video but told that the video is ineligible.

Here's the thing: If people wanted to ostracize him for saying nigga on MGA, they would have done so by now. He's certainly popular enough that SOMEONE would have tried.
But instead by doing this, he's caused a Streisand effect on himself and now people are going out of their way to acknowledge what he said on a decade old video while ALSO scouring streams and other footage to find instances of him saying nigger. In an attempt to avoid controversy, he's actually stirred it up.
Pat and Paige streams are still a lot of fun. Woolie Versus LPs on his channels can be great. His Katarmi and Third Birthday have some classic Woolie moments.

Well, that just brings up an issue as old as digital updates: people hate it when content is edited without a good forewarning or explanation. People bitched about Skullgirls removing some (animation-related, if I remember right) panty shots because the creators thought being cheekily coy about removing them was funny, just like people bitched about Arin and Jon breaking up because the Grumps kept their mouths shut and Jon was NDA'd.
If content creators gave some explanation, even one butchered by contractual obligations, it's much better than trying to independently edit things without so much as a "here's why I did that".
Game Grumps has to 100% politically correct, even if it means Arin and Dan have to parrot every single current year opinion and sell out anything they ever thought or believed of their own volition.
