Good luck convincing anyone of that. Rebirth was Johns' baby. He even offered to buy back copies if people weren't happy. He's been on record as having sat down with writers and helping them figure stuff out. And you contrast with his Green Lantern run being largely unaffected by the New 52 and even his final issue being an epilogue that seems to not care that it'd be rendered non canon immediately. New 52 and DCYou is Didio's thing. It shakes things up and creates drama.
