Milton Quon dead at 105

It’s interesting to me just how different things can be in 100 years. Imagine being born in 1914 and living through technically both world wars, the cold war, and witnessing massive amounts of technological innovation from the first sattellite and space flight to the creation of the internet and potential future in things like AI and nanomachines. Guy must have seen a lot at 105, especially for someone who worked at Disney when he did.

Art is the least stressful job to do. It's a lot of tight deadlines and strict budgets that sucks the fun out of it.

Animation has wagie tier deadlines. You're expected to pump out art weekly and before a certain date.

Disney animators were basically slaves back then. That's why the animation was so pretty during the golden age. Could be worse though, at least it wasn't Osamu Tezuka's Mushi Productions

They went on strike during the production of Dumbo.

Animator was pretty much a blue collar job that's forced to work like slaves because producers like Disney and Tezuka had too much ambition for the genre.

Nigga, you don't eat real Chinese food, you're eating fake Chinese food. I ate rice with veggies and meat 2-3 times a day during my semester in Shanghai and I actually got thinner (only 1-2 pounds) which was horrible due to my tailored clothes being unfit for my body because I got more jacked when I came back home. Natural foods make you slimmer not fatter, at least if you don't eat 7 times a day (I ate 4-5 times)
