We literally had an event just a year ago where the villains were a team of multiversal evil Batmen who all succeeded in killing all the heroes on their earths single-handed, and all overpowered our League single-handed, who they were only able to beat with the help of our Batman. One of DC's single most popular current ongoings focuses around one of these Batmen.

I didn't think about it till now, but this comic also had Superman's parents alive prior to the start of the comic. They still haven't come back yet in New 52/Rebirth/whatever the current era is called.

Tony Isabella didn't make him a father, and he finally legal'd his way into writing the character again.
He's not a dad in his mind, so he won't be a dad in main canon again
