Morrison is insane in the best way but I feel like I need to read Multiversity again.

GLs of the Multiverse time

Hell yeah, Flashlight and Magic Lantern.

Which universe is Green Bats from again?

I can't wait for this

A strength of morrison's that I always liked is how he can endow a history behind new and obscure characters.

So is he supposed to look like henshaw?

Earth 32

Attached: Aquaflash.jpg (1988x1528, 1.05M)

What’s shaggy doing here

Aquaflash is so fucking awkward, I'd hate to be that guy. His two gimmicks are so disjointed he couldn't design a good costume at all.

Yeah I don't get it either. Is he like a fast swimmer or does he do nothing but run on water?

He has to deal with a super-autist, Manta-Zoom

Luma Lynai is cute! CUTE!

Attached: Supergirl is a cuck.jpg (1280x1863, 662K)

Yeah, but Reverse-Manta is based

Isn't flashlight lantern fucking Barry rofl

>What the hell can be emitting that amount of gamma radiation?
Hulk? Is Morrison secretly crossover with Ewing?

More like the most powerful jobbers.

I'm getting real fucking sick of this "multiverse" shittery

Cringe.

That's because you're a brainlet

>no user, this could really be the end of dc comics when the villain destroys all da multiverses!
Go drown in a cum bath.

>Batman is going to fix everything

Grant Morrison's most recent work at DC in a nutshell.

Now that's how you want to open your comic book issue

did he just make the green peppers?

I would not be surprised if all of these are real Silver Age characters even though they all sounds like things Morrison thought on the fly.

What even is that locket to mind control someone who curb stomped Paralax?

Hal is perfect

>Hal's idea of a vacation is to cosplay as a knight errant in a swords and sorcery world
I've never read GL before this but Hal's rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters.

Fuck yeah. Does this mean we'll see the Mad Max universe with the Atomic Knights again? This is turning into a Multiversity follow up.

>Marta
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME

>gamma radiation based horror
>issue released on the same day as the latest Incredible Hulk, which also features The One Below All's involvement

Is this one of dem Hypercrisis things you young 'uns are talking about all the time?

>Shaggy Verde

Ultra Instinct soon. I wish this series went on forever.

Right? I'm not even mad we've gone back to multiversal threats, because Eldrazi Man over there's being sold mainly by art.

They are

Attached: Marvel_Maid.png (304x328, 225K)

>Mad Max universe with the Atomic Knights
It’s more of a Dredd/Atompunk mashup to me. But yeah, I fucking love Atomic Batman.

Attached: RCO010_w.jpg (452x504, 147K)

And the rest..

Sharp really seems like he's found a performance enhancer. This dude is absolutely MURDERING these scripts he's so good. Seriously love what he's been churning out with this series

Jesus fuck does Morrison have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Silver Age or something? Because this is getting ridiculous.

Attached: FC209C19-F7A2-431D-A00D-B5730B3754B0.jpg (1041x1600, 430K)

someone spoonfeed me, who are all these silver age fucks

Thanks

>ages ago, some user said Morrison told Snyder that when the JL go beyond the DC multiverse they'll find Marvel
>He actually meant the JL will run headlong into the fucking One Below All

>Runs on water like a speedboat on 'roids
>Races at the bottom of the ocean
>Kicks legs so fast he can be like a lightning bolt in the sea
>Can marshall every sea creatue on the planet in seconds
>Can run fast enough to drag a hurricane-sized maelstron into Texas

I don't know, the idea is kinda selling me on it...

They're literally Z-tier Silver Age heroes who appeared in like single issues of Superman, Green Lantern, and World's Finest and never appeared again. Looking them up on the DC wiki and most of them are so obscure that they don't even have their own character pages.

Read

>Vartox
>Z-Lister

No, he just reads comics. Crazy fucking concept, I know.

So, Regor mentioned up there is just a normal human. Makes me wonder how he could even become a famous cosmic hero.

Attached: Superman_v01_58_p38.jpg (1088x1538, 678K)

Batman fucking shot and killed Darkseid and Luthor had become god multiple times. Being a human doesn’t make you insignificant in the DC cosmic scene.

Just look at people like Adam Strange for example.

>Dude just read every Silver Age comic until you find something you like

As opposed to what? Yes, that is what it means to read comics.

Riddle me this, dipstick: if nobody reads Silver Age comics then how are they supposed to know what's good?

How long is this series supposed to continue? Is it ending or is Morrison staying a while?

The original plan was 12 issues, I don't know if that's changed.

It’s supposedly having another season already planned out (every 12 issues is a season).
Just image how petty Manta-Zoom already sell me on the concept

Attached: D5C577ED-FB73-4010-A1CD-0B91572860B6.jpg (1500x2336, 805K)

Was dog days ever storytimed?

Unfortunately not, which is a shame since most DC season specials are almost always good with new talent that the editorials never use (except for last year’s Halloween special).

13, there's an annual

>After saving the universe and escaping his own ring, Hal spend his time off shooting space aliens on the moon with Ollie, then spend a few days having classic fantasy adventures to relax.
Hal truly is the best GL, how can anyone else even compete.

Attached: 167A8560-6B6F-44AC-BC48-8CE793CDC040.jpg (1041x1600, 577K)

How'd Robotman get decapitated AGAIN?

"Regor" is "Roger" spelled backwards.
My sides!

Bruh

Attached: Awww Shit Nigga.jpg (533x720, 54K)

This comic is a real treat. Thanks.

Is that Hank Henshaw or someone else?

What the hell even is this thing? It looks like a combination of Mandrakk and Hank Henshaw.

Attached: 426FC577-EE41-4B04-98AF-BFC827C84676.png (300x250, 62K)

Last year's Halloween was okay.
The one before it (with Chaykin Captain Marvel) was terrible.

He’s human again.

Attached: 02BDB46C-EB45-4CDD-A202-02474D7D706C.jpg (1988x3056, 1.49M)

Who are those on the bottom right? Pre-existing characters or new ones?

Is that Sir Harold from Infinite Crisis?

Morrison you are the Hack! again

>Superman analogue just chilling in his couch with his boots off

Based.

Hyperman is Silver Age
Technically there are 2-3 Superman analogues there

Hopefully we’re going to see Arcane Green Lantern of Earth-13 again.

>I know this planet hates you
>It hates me

That would make a good reaction pic, or a Yea Forums banner.

Well shit, that was a pleasant surprise.

Holy shit, could you imagine the level of autistic rage and hate capable of someone who was both Zoom and Black Manta?

>Aquaflash
>His arch-enemy is Reverse Manta
>2 of the most obsessed and dangerous villains fused together

I'd hate to be Aquaflash.

I like that the ring is now a character who talks to Hal, and kinda comes off as a grouchy secretary who knows her Lantern is a dumbass. Glad the whole Ringworld thing had some kind of consequence.

My sides

I remember somebody posted a Reverse Manta on an old AU thread. Does anyone saved it?

>Gamma radiation
>inb4 Ewing and Morrison are stealth-starting a crossover underneath the noses of Marvel and DC

Attached: 123491723.jpg (613x819, 167K)

WAIT. Where the fuck is the stoner lantern from? I know I've seen him somewhere.

He was first in Morrison's Animal Man. Then he showed up in the Multiversity Guidebook.

no it's just regular Hal LARPing

>tfw you realize that the reason this is so good is because it's not being written for the trade

oh god I want to see speed freak get BLACKED by Sunshine Superman so fucking much.

Attached: Magic lantern smokes that AYYlmao alien dank.jpg (1988x1490, 1.09M)

Vartox! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

What's your power AquaFlash? Swim real fast?

>”This seemed like a great idea at the time”

Hal Abrdiged

I'll be damned if this isn't juiced up Henshaw

HOLY SHIT!

The red and blue guy is probably Halk Kar, the prototype for Mon-el, from planet Thoron. Same powers as Earth-2 kryptonians, but to a lesser extent since Thoron wasn't as big as Krypton (and it wasn't destroyed either).

Hyper Man is a complete Superman clone, last survivor of planet Zoron, who gains powers in a yellow sun, and such, although he originally died in his own debut story since "Blue Zoronite" outright poisons him and he had one in his Fortress of Secrecy without knowing its effects.

The cosmic grail of Earth 15.

Heres Hyperman.

Attached: Chester_King_Earth-One_0001.jpg (400x849, 311K)

Wheres this from?

>bruce wants to be edgy but earth-47 won't let him

I love how upset Shooting Star looks.

The absolute madman is doing stealth hypercrisis again.

Strong woman but girl.

Attached: RCO023_1469393636.jpg (911x1346, 348K)

Dang, I wish that more DC writers used the Multiversity earths instead of chickening out and falling back on the Dark lolsorandom Multiverse

Attached: RCO031_1469393636.jpg (916x1333, 419K)

The problem is that some crop of writers might fuck it up or not get what the point of the Earths are.

WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME

God the Dark Multiverse is so much more shittier story concept than the regular multiverse.

I feel a kinship with Magicko for some reason.

Bumpierino

Dog days of summer. Aside from Morrison, most multiverse stories are only in the season specials which is a shame since I want to see more of the Justice Incarnate and their regular antics.
>Stealth
>Implying
It’s not that bad, it’s just being used wrong by retarded hacks like Snyder. The Dark Multiverse should be a dumping ground for shit elseworlds that would never work (like the Batman Punisher or whatever the fuck his name was) or terrible runs and events. Future writers can now have an easy way to just ignore shit that they don’t like by just saying that they happened in the Dark Multiverse.

It wouldn’t surprise me if DC later backpedal the entirety of HiC for instance as a Dark Multiverse event and not canon (or if we get really lucky, the entire Bendis’ Superman run).

Attached: A523FA35-410D-4785-B052-C9DE84DC0C3A.jpg (1987x3056, 1.23M)

Nah, the Dark Multiverse gives an out for when writers want to just feature multiversal counterparts to kill them, which happens way too often even with the limited 51 multiverse.

Cringe.

What’s cringe about it?

U.

>those removed super boots

Imagine the smell

>it’s just being used wrong by retarded hacks like Snyder
But as the dark multiverse was created by Snyder than it's an inherently hacky device.
>The Dark Multiverse should be a dumping ground for shit elseworlds that would never work (like the Batman Punisher or whatever the fuck his name was) or terrible runs and events
But why would you want that? It keeps them canon. I like Limbo better, it shouldn't be if a story has a good end or not or if it's too edgy but if people give a damn to even remember it.
Well that's just encouraging your dog to piss on the rug. Writer will just use the dark multiverse instead of the regular multiverse so it doesn't help.

Morrison / Allred Love Syndicate mini WHEN

The issue is that most writers seem to handle even the main multiverse like that. Earth-3 was blown up in its first New 52 appearance. Earth-2 was sent to doom with many characters getting killed off. Even Tomasi introduced that assassin Justice League Earth just to kill most of them. Then you had Zoom going through the multiverse and killing Flashes in a recent Flash arc.

I was surprised the big Lord Havok arc in JLA actually ended up with their world being restored by the end of everything but that was an exception.

At least now stuff like the random Bruce Waynes killed off in Snyder's Batman Who Laughs are from irrelevant Dark Multiverse Earths rather than just making the multiverse actively smaller each time they appear.

Attached: da822eb790a82e9562839d8eab58a9a7.png (1024x433, 319K)

Attached: 1532212002774.png (734x822, 187K)

What’s his story?

Which Flashes died?

>At least now stuff like the random Bruce Waynes killed off in Snyder's Batman Who Laughs are from irrelevant Dark Multiverse Earths rather than just making the multiverse actively smaller each time they appear.
But the side effect is that everyone pays attention to the Batman who LMAOs. And can you even believe that people are actually Hyped about Red Death in The flash?

Basically mirror Superman.

>Doomed planet (Zoron)
>Desperate Scientists
>Last Hope.
>Kindly Couple (King family from planet Oceania)

He goes to Earth to ask for Superman's help in protecting his secret identity, but then Superman analyzes his body and discovers he's going to die soon due to being poisoned by blue Zoronite he kept in his Fotress of Secrecy. Superman sets up a situation where his identity gets revealed right as his powers start fading away and then Hyper-man marries his Lois counterpart before dying one year later.

Probably never because he’s retiring from mainstream stuff.
>I like Limbo better
Limbo fucking sucks if you want to fix terrible decisions or character assassinations. The entire Identity Crisis debacle took years to fix the damages done to both the Dibnys and the Atom (literally only fixed after 52) and it will be the same for HiC. Hell King is already retconing the shitshow on his Twitter. Only this time DC won’t have good writers like Morrison undo this (instead we have incompetent stooges like Scott Lobdell). Not to mention ignoring continuity just make the entire thing even more convoluted and contrived like whatever the fuck Bendis is doing.

I mean how would you even explain a reviving a character you like that was killed in a shit event for cheap shock value? Just outright let them reappear with no explanation which both ruin the limbo state and contradicts other writers?

Attached: B9EEEAA3-3827-47C4-8752-46393A29621F.jpg (750x1041, 625K)

He still showed up in Justice League Vol 4 26.

Johnny Thunder from the Justice Riders.

Attached: Flash_2016_57_01.jpg (1041x1600, 673K)

Attached: Flash_2016_57_22.jpg (1041x1600, 650K)

Yeah but he showed up in a recent JL book alive.

Wait, so how many Not-Superman and Not-Supergirl exist in the main universe during the the Silver Age again? Because if we only count the ones here we already have a shit load.

Not that I mind really. I actually like the idea of most planets in DC having their own superhero teams. Which would explain why the Guardians doesn’t need trillions of Green Lanterns to police the universe.
That’s not Reverse-Manta, this is.
Sales numbers say otherwise. The average buyers are just complete plebs who would gobble up anything Batman and event related.
Pretty much this, my point is that the Dark Multiverse allows you to have shocking deaths without having to drastically reduce the storytelling potential of characters or to explain how non-canon minis fit into the multiverse.

24 issues is the plan right now.

Oh shit its willy pete!

Regor

>The average buyers are just complete plebs who would gobble up anything Batman and event related.
Which is the problem with the dark multiverse.

The rest here

adventuresinpoortaste.com/2019/07/03/a-new-dc-cosmic-team-arrives-in-the-green-lantern-9-but-who-are-they/

Only 3 remain unknown.

>did that child come from an unknown civilization under ground?
Damn that's the third time this week.

The superbug dude looks familar.

Might be a super ambush bug.

The helment girl and electro dude dunno.

Aren't this the jobbers that died second on Crisis on Infinite Earths?

Some of them plus forager from coubtdown.

So he is a normal human on a planet made of glass and weak humans?

Wait, those guys appeared during COIE? It’s been a really long time since I read it.
Their gimmick of every comic being an event and everyone being a super being were pretty darn interesting I must say. Makes you wonder why this concept isn’t explored more in capeshit aside from Moore’s Top 10.

Just think, in 20 years someone will take all the 2010's social justice characters and drop them into their own variant earth the way we have the hippies like Prez and Brother Geek here

Hell, you could fill a universe with nothing but black female tech geniuses from liberal-guilt white male writers who think this will keep them from being the first against the wall when the purge begins.

Couldn't they have use the hole made by the Drillrocket to escape?

Even dressed in bright white and gold, Bruce is still grim.

Attached: Batman #256 - Page 44 If Bruce had not been batman 2.jpg (1063x1600, 619K)

Superman is kind of creepy, being attracted to his cousin.

>Wait, those guys appeared during COIE?
They show up for like 2 pages to show how the White antimatter is destroying all the universes, then that guy who teleports where there is danger saves the woman with the white hair and she becomes a tag along for the rest of the story.

Attached: Quentin_Family_%28Earth-One%29_001.png (400x192, 205K)

>Hyperboy and Klypso
they weren't even trying.

Attached: Forty_keks[1].jpg (600x528, 49K)

Yep. He gets beaten up later when other people from that planet do gravity training, then he gets special training from Superman to surpass them again.

Attached: Superman_v01_58_p39.jpg (1088x1538, 634K)

The one with the finger beam seems to be Dyno-Man. He was an one shot character, but apparently had teamed up with Superman before in space adventures.

Attached: Superman_206_p05.jpg (1012x1518, 206K)

Attached: RCO009.jpg (1146x1600, 656K)

The red and green couple are Aeroman and someone who is likely a redesigned Windlass. Note that THIS is their only appearance. They aren't even around during the rest of the story.

Attached: World's Finest_163_p22.jpg (1074x1600, 640K)

So, the only unknown hero is that Barda-like woman then?

Yee.

Attached: adventure260_03.jpg (965x1392, 315K)

Tomasi did it with his Supes run bt it was average.

It was way too rushed, just three issues for something involving tons of Earths when his arcs are often longer with a much smaller number of characters.

He did use Bizarro world for a pretty great story at the end of his run though.

Who r these guys and barda gurl?

Attached: 20190704_000756.jpg (707x1506, 654K)

Attached: 20190704_001138.jpg (302x781, 185K)

Maybe she is Little Barda from 52.

It should this is great.

Attached: RCO056_1559186835.jpg (1040x1600, 588K)

I hope this is leading into Multiversity 2 or whatever it's going to be called.

>Multiversity Too
What hppened with that Fbook about a Flash that was bored of all because everything was slow as fuck to him.

Maybe morrison will turn ut into Earth 1 flaxh, now that jms retired.

Dark multiverse is a Snyder containment zone.

This page reminds me of Flex Mentallo. Hope that Morrison can get Quitely to do GL season 2.

Should I storytime it here or in a different thread?

Attached: 8C098A54-0477-4018-96BB-369F5C5EB980.jpg (1973x3033, 2.41M)

Diff.

This whole issue gave me Flex Mentallo vibes.

The "performance enhancer" is working with Grant Morrison. Dude has an infectious energy and optimism about him that spreads to his work and he always brings out the best in his coworkers.

That looks surprisingly similar to Doopspeak, anyone care to try and translate?

>Read his lines backwards
>Get tricked into trying to read the rest of the page in Manga reading order

Fuck Grant, got me good.

>Gamma rays
Green is the way to cross over the capeshits as I see does that include Swamp Thing and Man-Thing too?

he was, that Barry died while saving a bunch of supermen.

You can’t contain someone using his own creation. After Metal, Snyder’s retardation only got worse. Now we have another Omniverse-ending super overpowered donut steel OC in Perpetua or whatever the fuck she is in his JLA book.

God I hate Perpetua. She is something like a rejected member of the Gentry.

>Muh secret society that is not a copy of the black gloves at all I swear!
>Muh super special invisible spectrum!!!
>Strength force! Sage force! Wtf Force!
>Super OC that lives beyond the source wall because fuck consistent cosmology!
How can a man be such a hack. His OC dogshit somehow manage to be worse than Bendis’ without even need to venture into black fetish territory.

Not to mention Perpetua’s design is just generic as shit.

I am hoping Morrison at some point is going to fix the mess of Snyder.

Now that you mention Snyder, his late work feels like a fanfic of Morrison's work.

Cringe.

I’m not really optimistic on the prospect of anything being fix in DC, especially when the same idiots are still in control of the editorial and Bendis still writing.

But yeah if Geoff Johns can be called a raccoon digging through Moore’s trash, the same can be said for Snyder and Morrison.

I thought Earth 8 died in Multiversity?

Nah, that was Earth-7. Earth-8 was saved just in time. In the end The Empty Hanh only took over the Chibi Earth and Earth-7.
Makes sense since Earth-7 is a mirror of Ultimate Marvel.

MAH NIGGA VARTOX NOOOOOOOOOO

No wonder why Vartox is such a chad. He was modeled afte Sean Mothefucking Connery.

I’m sure he’ll survive. He had fought worse long before Supes.

Only the Still Force was from Snyder. The other new forces are from the Flash writer.

When the character is a one-off that you think would never appear again, you don’t have to try.
Better version.

>Still Force
The whatnow?

I really wonder what working with Grant Morrison is like. The guy seems chill but his thought processes seem sort of incomprehensible

>”Alright Grant, we’re working on a team up between Green Arrow and Hal, let’s spitball”
>”Alien hitmen”
>”That makes sense-“
>”Are attacking because a soul trader is trying to sell human souls to Dimension X”
>”A-a what?! Grant this is a GL book, we can’t have demons in it without any-“
>”Not demons. Hyperdimensional giants, which are old DC canon. And this isn’t a Green Lantern book, it’s a Xeen Lantern book as perceived by lower dimensional life forms”
>”But-WHY?!”
>”Well, where do you think Hal and Oliver will get the giant arrow they need to shoot at the alien cyborg who’s modified himself into a turret on the moon?”

Wait, even the Ultraviolet Lantern/Invisible Spectrum?

No, I meant just the the new "Forces" stuff tied to Flash. Snyder introduced "Still Force" alongside the other new stuff tied to the other heroes, like the Invisible Spectrum, meanwhile the Flash writer introduced a bunch of new Forces all at once around the same time (Strength Force, Sage Force)

Yep found it. This Earth actually has some interesting backstory even during Infinite Crisis.
>Basically humanity nuked itself out of existence ruining both Earth and the Solar System
>Ayylmaos of the 9 great houses used this chance to turn Earth into gigantic battle area where each civilizations use genetic-engineered super soldiers to fight as a way to settle disputes
>The suvivors of these skirmishes slowly form their own kingdom of super people called Forerunners that through a bloody war became the 10th great house
>Nowadays minor wars between the houses constantly occur in order for houses to dominance over each other
Basically the closest thing DC have for a space opera setting
Some shit Snyder made up to give Grodd another power up (as if he isn’t already fucking op in the first place).
>Hal is green
>Hulk is green
>Both fight a gamma emitting amorphous monster that look weirdly similar and is supposed to be multiversal
What does this all mean?

...

I love that the ring is now talking as Hal's sidekick.

Oh shit, I stopped reading the specials a while back. Which ones have multiverse stuff?

That third panel reminds me of Mike Allred

Guess he got better

Even more than that. The ring is now a hot green elf that Hal can hook up with whenever he enters his own ring.
The villain beach specials and last month Dog days of summer.
In fact I just finished storytiming it

What's the source for this issue? I've already checked the one in the filename, and it's wrong.

dude weed lantern

Wasn't that Jes's thing?

Would the Injustice League/Legion of Doom in this world resemble characters from the pages of Bijou Funnies and Zap Comics? Or would it just be Lex running around as Nixon and shit like that.

Damn this thread is still up?

That's not user Sir though

Why everybody thinks that

Why is Batman looking so bright?

It’s Morrison using a team of mainly one shot Silver Age characters and fucking Vartox in a Green Lantern comic. Why wouldn’t it be?

And this is only for a fucking single issue. Jesus fuck I seriously hope that after this run, DC would reprint all of these as an Oan Book of Cosmology in the veins of the Batman’s Black Casebook.

Attached: 4A559E7D-2405-4B8C-982A-2931D19BDC85.jpg (857x819, 158K)

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Legion of Peace and Prosperity are just a bunch of stereotypical 70s conservatives.
>Luthor = Nixon
>Manta = Black islamic brotherhood
>Joker = PTSD-ridden vet
>Sinestro = Anti-drug campaigner
Not every storytime has to be filled with idiotic bickering you know. It can just be people discussing shit they’re interested in, like in the Hulk threads.
How many Superman team has Morrison created by this point? We have the Superman Squad, The Supermen Dynasty, Supermen of the Multivese and now the Superwatch?

Keep whining retard Superman is #1 and Morrison knows it

Hey I’m not even complaining asshole. I’m actually wondering since there seems to be so many of them flying around.

Attached: 5BCC9498-B67F-4384-B6EB-49CF35D517DF.jpg (675x1024, 113K)

Superman of the multiverse wasn't really a team though, just a team up. "Justice Incarnate" was the actual team, and more of a general multiverse justice league.

Love those guys

the still force is just kinetic energy manipulation, which is what Wally could do with his speed force shit

I just thought it'd be archived like the rest of the story times. I was busy yesterday and didn't get to read it.

>doing stealth hypercrisis again
This reminds me of the Rutland Halloween Parade. Are there any other examples of stealth hypercrisis?

>We have the Superman Squad, The Supermen Dynasty, Supermen of the Multivese and now the Superwatch?

before the new 52, I remember a Superman story from 2010 or 2011 with several Supermen and Superwomen from across the universe. Just this universe. Remember if the universe is truly infinite you dont need to cross to another one to find another planet ''Earth'' identical to ours in a galaxy trillions of lightyears away with it's own Daily Planet, Clark Kent and Superman. BTW any user here knows what issue is what Im talking about? or did I halucinated this shit?

Attached: 1557620915205.png (565x425, 288K)

I think you might be talking about Final Crisis.

I hope we still get Sinestro

Honestly, I hope we will get the Decreator at some point.

>What the hell can be emitting that amount of gamma radiation?
Is TOBA seeping into DC slowly? That would explain why everything's been getting so shit lately.

I blame Bendis. Since he arrived everything somehow went to shit.

we're getting a Sinestro

Attached: sinestro tea.jpg (212x311, 19K)

Aquaman and Namor fought the same sea monster once.

Really? When?

majorspoilers.com/2011/03/13/retro-review-aquaman-56-mar-1971-sub-mariner-72-sep-1974/

rather it be Milligan/ Allred

It's cool how Multiversity stuff is being used more often but sometimes it's cringey... However this is Grant doing it here, so it actually feels a lot smoother and more in flavor with Multiversity.

Fuck yeah, Multiversity follow up Green Lantern stuff!

I think I will do Maxima.

Thanks.

bump

...

It depends on the writers. Some writers are just not suited for that kind of concepts.

Since his arrival
>Hickman almost write Legion for DC but then turned it down
>Superman is completely ruined
>YJ returned but is more meandering and boring than ever
>Vertigo is canceled
>Aquaman is in the shitter
>The Outlaws broke up and is now just Jason
>New age of heroes crashed and burned
>Batcat turned out to be a bait and switch and only got worse from there
>Shit event after shit event
Holy shit you are right.
Does Milligan even want to work at DC anymore? I thought the mishandling of the Nu52 pushed him away.
Yeah, most writers when try to use the multiverse always use it to either kill off a parallel version of certain character (like The recent flash arc) or just kill off that world entirely (like in Tomasi’s Superman or Earth-3 in Forever Evil). And every time they do it, that effectively stops any writer from using that character or universe ever again.

Attached: CF562A16-36F2-49E1-B7CB-7402CE634A9D.jpg (1041x1600, 785K)

Should be a earth in the 52.

I have this feeling that Bendis and Hickman don't get along very well.

Fitting that the shining light in this sea of suckiness is Morrison’s Green Lantern

Yeah that does seem pretty annoying. Especially if they have to destroy an established world to raise the stakes.

>Not knowing about the Beast incident
Bendis is a little bitch that always cry when people don’t let him have his way so yeah. The only thing got going for him is that he has shitloads of connection within the industry and as I can tell he’s always on time.

Attached: 6B54D5F6-2860-4B00-8EE2-89940550EF05.png (661x327, 29K)

So is the Cosmic Grail gonna tie in with Volthoom? I thought he was the only survivor of that Universe right?

That one sounds like he's joking. Any other examples?

Wat about monkey beast by bendis?

Just talking about Bendis, the fucker had a chance to bring back Earth-3 by just ignoring Forever Evil in his Superman run. But this time, just for pissing people off, he actually FOLLOWED THE ESTABLISHED CANON!

Somehow Jon was flung back in time before Forever Evil and got himself caught and tortured by the Crime Syndicate for YEARS!!! And somehow he doesn’t get killed by whatever the fuck that destroyed Earth-3 to return edgier and older because fuck logic. Now Jon is going with the Legion and leave his parents forever as a big fuck you to everyone.

Attached: 7FA22F6E-5EE9-496C-B3BA-C48A22CF10BA.jpg (1600x1230, 830K)

Morrison will probably ignorge that.

Ahhahaha fuck u.

Seconding. Any more examples of Bendis pettiness?

Sad. A lot of Johns concepts seem like Morrison could bring out the best in them. Imagine Morrison writing Nekron. Or Grail.

What’s Aaron Johnson like outside of his writing? Kind of curious considering how all his post-God of Thunder Thor shit and his Conan run couldn’t be more different. Not necessarily in GOOD ways but still.

It’s kind of sad how Snyder’s silly powerlevelfest is better than everything in and he’s just cribbing from Snyder like a trash panda.

Clearly the Crime Syndicate’s means of torture was forcing him to read Bendis comics.

I don't think he will outright ignore it but he will handwave it.

Nekron isn't a johns creation.

The art is stellar.
Also, I like deep cuts in stories but I wish these characters were used more often in other stories instead of just cameos.

He drops stuff like countdowm.

To be fair, giving how terrible was Countdown, it was for the best.

Wait, when did the Cosmic Grail got tied up with Volthoom? I only remembered it in the Guide Book and nowhere else.
>Bendis comics
What is Bendis comics? Do you mean comics written by Brian Michael Bendis the famous comicbook writer?

Attached: E24FD7AC-72D5-405D-82E2-5D0DE6579877.jpg (1988x3056, 475K)

Attached: 29-1.jpg (1301x2000, 280K)

Yeah, Morrison always loves working with artists that care about the minute details.
Just hope that Quitely can draw an issue or two of this run.

Attached: 2E848A5E-D9B5-4B2F-A65E-3C2CBF56B0C7.jpg (1332x2048, 402K)

Me too. Morrison nd Quitely are a great tandem but Quitely is really slow now.

Sharp's supposed to do all 24 main issues, but he said there's going to be three issues between the two seasons he doesn't do

it would be cool to see Quitely on one of those

I remember when Multiversity was ending, one journalist asked Morrison some details about Pax Americana and he literally forgot about because it took years for Quitely to finish drawing the damn issue. What happened? The guy used to write long runs like Jupiter Legacy and The Authority all the time.

Don't forget that Snyder is tearing apart the lore with Perpetua.

Giving how complicated and well crafted was Pax Americana I'll give it a pass but yeah you are right Quitely used to do monthly issues like nothing.

That faggot Snyder I don't know why he wants to do these bigger than life stories now. The only thing he is doing is destroying the lore with his shitty OC and his shitty dark multiverse.

Because most of his career in DC involved aping other people’s creations
>Court of Owls ripping off the Black Gloves
>Signal ripping off Batwing
>Batman getting replaced by Gordon ripping off when Dick became Batman
>His Joker is so edgy it became a parody of Morrison’s Joker
>Using Morrison’s Barbatos in the worst way possible
>Perpetua is just a cheap knockoff of Mandrakk
>His supercool OCs Batman who lmaos and Grim Knight are just shitty Judge Death and shitty Punisher
He has nothing original going for him and somehow plebs love him.

Attached: 03AFF548-2FAA-4F0E-A26A-866456357D5A.png (380x567, 509K)

His Swamp Thing was good.

In Green lanterns

Attached: 055E4F3A-DD20-43F4-AEE3-8FC07CF47D12.jpg (1041x1600, 613K)

Green Lanterns, Humphries IIRC.
I liked it because it explained the Ring of Volthoom and all that.
Also, apparently Nekron can't kill Volthoom.

I personally think it’s funny he’s the first lantern of every universe

Why does Malvolio look like Alan Scott?

>I personally think it’s funny he’s the first lantern of every universe
Which issue did they explain that again?

Number 18, I assumed that’s what they were implying with these pages

Attached: 2C37BF07-BE5F-438B-A5DE-49E9031736B2.jpg (1041x1600, 619K)

Attached: 6E11F325-6FC2-4D42-8EFF-1F277B541889.jpg (1041x1600, 665K)

This was honestly pretty cool.
I think after Morrison's run is over, the whole Rami subplot will be resurrected in some capacity.

Is flower power a different colored lantern?

Why is Brother Power here? Didn't he sacrifice himself to literally become a better character?

Different universe.

>Bruce Wayne becoming The Shooting Star
Heh
And the Invisible spectrum and the Still force.

Attached: 663BE833-6D29-49F1-947F-4EF850265C67.jpg (949x1449, 758K)

I think the ''something opposite or not even related to speed'' force is the most retarded concept in years.

Nope.

Because he was born in 1612 in Renaissance Europe.

Attached: C1A60259-D418-41BE-B31F-C065A2448219.jpg (800x1274, 363K)

He took the power ring from Malvolio's finger. It had made the journey from Earth and would take Jordan home again.

After Jordan departed, Malvolio arose and pulled the projectile from his chest. His plan had been fulfilled, Jordan now soared the spaceways with Lord Malvolio's ring. The illusions surrounding Malvolio dissolved, leaving him in a lightless void...

It works both ways, unsuprisingly

Huh, we got all 3 of these Batmen now.

I love Hank Henshaw more than a comic reader probably should.

Morrison literally used them all.
>E-34 "The Stingray"
>E-35 "The Owl"
>E-36 "The Iron Knight"
>E-41 "The Scorpion"
>E-47 "The Shooting Star"
Is DClock canon or not? I’m confused.

Attached: 2E5EE90B-9039-430F-950D-13E72058F873.jpg (950x1441, 774K)

Dclock is probably canon, but where it sits in the timeline? Difficult to say, but I'd say ahead of most books publishing at the moment. All in all the events of it are happening over a very short period, likely weeks at most, but Manhattan has been fucking with earth 0 since the start of nu 52.

The reason why I’m confused is because both Snyder and Bendis are seemingly ignoring it entirely. Hell both Legion and Society is returning before the series even finishes.

Attached: 3A716FB3-1616-45F8-9BD6-2C2D37DCE708.jpg (1334x1799, 1006K)

I have no idea what is going on.

Where's this from?

Infinite Crisis: Fight for the multiverse
It’s a tie-in comic to a game. But it’s still great.

Attached: 071C738E-2FE8-40A5-9550-DAC736FF1092.jpg (1174x1804, 652K)

I guess they're just set after...and if that doesn't work, then I assume something will happen with Manhattan and time travel/his changes already made reverted. This stuff is pretty simple if you're not a brainlet, dude, if you just think for a few seconds.

wish the game didn't die, or that they kept the characters from the game and did something with them
it was an ok Moba

This is getting really Morrisonian now. Someone post the solicits for the next issues.

>THE GREEN LANTERN #10.
>Twelve parallel worlds! Twelve Green Lanterns! And one unstoppable menace! Hal Jordan joins the Green Lanterns of the Multiverse—including Bat-Lantern, Tangent Green Lantern and more—to save a dying Multiverse, defeat the relentless Anti-Man and embark upon their “Quest for the Cosmic Grail”! It’s another Morrison/Sharp science fantasy epic!

>THE GREEN LANTERN #11
>On the edge of reality, Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Star Sapphire face death by power ring firing squad! Yes, Hal and Carol Ferris reunite (sort of) as they fight their way out of the improbable turn of events of the previous issue! In fact, with what happens next issue, they may not want to survive this one…

And there’s another annual issue by the end of the month.

Attached: 18137DDE-1734-4B55-BAAA-C40CEA625A5A.jpg (675x1024, 179K)

Anti-Man? Is he like the Anti-Monitor?

This is the best comic book cover of 2019. Prove me wrong.

Magic Lantern! YES!
Oh I loved that GL hippie shirt all the way back in multiversity. I need one.

>It swept them aside as if they were BUGS.
>Literal bug character at bottom right
I'm surprised every response to this post wasn't about that. It was definitely the main thing I got out of this page.

"Quick, Shooting Star, The Defoliator is killing all the weed in Gotham! We have to stop him!"
*Bruce's teeth grinding increases*

I fucking love comics so fucking much you guys. I believe Grant Morrison very well may be a magician.

He is an interesting character.

Really liked the issue but in truth, I didn't understand what they were talking about. I get the hints, references and the general plot but the dialogue makes out, at least to me, that I missed out on previous issues but I've read all issues so far but you know it's that typical Morrison writing that gives it weight like said

Wonder how morrison will save the multiverse? A new green wall? Pocket verse in the ring?

12 earths eh.

There's certain ways.

Come on user. Hickman is a hack but at least he’s actually respect what established by previous writers and won’t fucking retcon everything into shit like Bendis does.
Why does he look like Equinox from The Brave and The Bold? But yeah, this is the closest we got.

I guess that prism woman probably guide or cosmic grail lantern.

I think she’s supposed to be based off that Doctor Spectrum in Hickman’s New Avengers

Yeah 12 plus new prism woman.

I don't recall who this is?

Attached: 20190705_201445.jpg (197x330, 42K)

You cannot help but fall under the spell that Hank the tank gives off. He's petty on Manta/Reverse Flash levels and hates on two big heroes instead of just one.

Harold constantly being bullied by Volthoom and The Syndicate was great. Too bad he was killed and his ring now belong to Jes.

Attached: 04B86D86-A081-4C58-A10D-AF7E6B2FF155.jpg (1041x1600, 530K)

Volthoom and Ultraman are BroTP. It really warms my heart.

Its justice lords.

So that's two Johns.

Can someone help explain what is happening to someone completely lost?

Big Bad 1 is rampaging one part of the universe. Big Bad 2 is looking for Hal.
Hal is escaping with other universes' GLs to formulate a plan to beat Big Bad 2.

What happened to the Darkstar army? I don't remember Hal going to another universe either. I feel like I am missing part of the story.

I just realized that this is what Controller Mu was making.

>What happened to the Darkstar army?
The Darkstars were part of an arc before Morrison.
The Blackstars' leader was killed by Hal and presumably they fell apart without his guidance.
Hall going to another universe is the end of this issue.

>Hall going to another universe is the end of this issue.
So the GL from Universe 20 went to Hal's universe?

QUESTION!
Who is the masked chick in the middle and what are her powers?
Thanks!
I asked Morrison on instagram but no response.

>The Blackstars' leader was killed by Hal and presumably they fell apart without his guidance.
I really don’t think so. We he died, Mu refers to himself as “we” meaning that he’s either a hivemind or he has clones to spare. Not to mention Belzebeth got away scot-free so there must be some keikakuing going on.

And if was actually created by Mu, then somehow the Blackstars are behind this whole Anti-Man thing. Especially when he is pursuing Hal, similar to when Mu was trying to take Hal’s ring in issue #7

Attached: 48F81FDF-0585-4FA6-8A0D-25541FCE624F.jpg (1041x1600, 558K)

He didn't need a performance enhancer. His work on Wonder Woman was phenomenal.
And Sharp is plenty of enthusiasm/optimism himself. He joyfully talked about tearfully getting drunk in celebration after getting the Rebirth WW gig on Bleeding Cool.

Every person on that planet is super powered so a cillivan.

Is that adams old suit? But trunkless?

Kinda. Its bit diff so sharp must had made it.

what are the essential green lantern comics

>His work on Wonder Woman was phenomenal.
No, it was terrible. Stop shilling. There was nothing noteworthy from that book. Johns was afraid of driving away dumbasses who fell for Rebirth meme with some experimental art, so they made Sharpe draw in house style.

All.

Morrison, Moore, Willworld, Mosaic. That's it. Ignore people who suggest Johns' run.

really?
I heard the geoff johns run was shit though

Wat? Its great.

There is nothing fucking wrong with house style when drawn with the quality line work and detail that Sharp and Reis do it in.

Attached: STL014113.jpg (1200x1821, 3.72M)

well now i'm confused

No. Its all good.

I personally believe it’s pretty good, it establishes the other Lanterns, get some pretty badass moments, would definitely check out Green Lantern: Rebirth

Johnsfags are kinda retarded, his comics are nothing worth reading

Anti johns fags are butthurt.

Depends on what you like about the Green Lantern really.

If you like mind bending, psychedelic stuff, read Willworld

If you like deepest lore space adventures, read Moore, Mosaic and other Silver Age stuff

If you like blockbuster action, read Johns’ GL and Morrison’s JLA

If you like grounded stories and character studies, read Hard Traveling Heroes and Paralax Hal

Attached: AFFCE195-95CC-467C-9975-F0A897A18C44.jpg (1065x1563, 315K)

>LOOK I'M EATING SHIT
>don't eat shit
>LOOK AT THIS ANTI SHIT EATING FAG HE'S SO BUTTHURT
About as predictable as a Johns comic

thanks
how much of the silver age stuff is actually good

The Silver Age comics are pretty fun reads especially the Gardner Fox era.

I personally enjoy stories involving the Corps more than O’Neil’s run. Most of the more interesting Corps member were from this period like Mogo, Arisia and Rot Lop Fan (almost all were created by Moore).
Dude. Johns is a hack but his GL had its moments, it’s not all bad. And as much as you hate the guy, he’s the one who brought back Hal back to prominence after years of constant shit.

For every "good" moment there dozens of terrible ones. Just because you have nostalgia for it doesn't make it good.

Attached: RCO001_1476845770.jpg (984x1532, 650K)

>For every "good" moment there dozens of terrible ones.
None of those "terrible" moments were that bad. Clearly this is just your personal take.

>None of those "terrible" moments were that bad.
Space bug Parallax. The Guardians being evil assholes (Alpha Lanterns). The Guardians being evil assholes (Third Army). Sinestrowank. Bringing back Z-listers just to kill them off. Constant power level escalations. Earth being the source of all life in the DC universe. Rainbow corps.

Harold is such a cuck lmao

The Green lantern morrison continuity avoids Geoff Johns stuff here and there.

But I'm fine with it.

what issue is this from?
I thought Sinestro killed him in forever evil

Last year’s Beach Blanket Bad Guys Specials, the summer specials again are LITERALLY the only place where you can read anything multiverse related that are good.
Never read anything Kyle-related aside from Moz’s JLA. Is this good?

Really wish we could see more of the Crime Syndicate in a "regular" way, if that makes sense.

What will be revitalized next?

Bump.

Snyder has always been a Morrison imitator.

What did he avoid exactly? Other than the Rainbow corps most of this run are additions to the lore, nothing I’ve seen really contradicts the previous runs.

They're almost all dog shit you must just know someone who wrote/drew a story in one.

Now that is cool.

Didn't a bunch of kryptonians cut this Hal's hand off in the follow-up comic and he literally bled green or something.

>opinions
Like I said, nitpicking.

This is actually Alan Scott from Kingdom Come. I have no idea what comic you’re mentioning.

Always love this page. Will this Alan be in the Multiverse story?

>If you like something you are a shill
They’re nowhere near phenomenal, I know. But compare them with the dogshit King, Bendis and Snyder is spewing out, they’re great.
This is not even mentioning the drought of multiverse goodness content aside from Morrison and bullshit events.

So like do constructs just stay active for as long as GL wants? Those look like entire cities with people living in them.

Pretty much yeah, but that’s Kingdom Come with Alan Scott. During Emerald Twilight, Hal rebuilt Coast City and it only went away because he ran out of power. If I remember correctly, that Alan fused his Power Battery to his chest

Pretty much. The strength of a construct is based upon the ring user’s willpower. The stronger the will, the stronger the construct.

But in the case of Alan Scott like the post above, his ring works quite differently from a Oan made ring. It’s made from the Starheart, a combined magical potential of the the dead Empire of Tears - an huge empire of alien wizards the Guardians wiped out when they decided to get rid of most magic in the universe (before that the comps was dominated by magic users). Because of that it’s super fucking overpowered compare to a normal GL corps member. It basically can do whatever the hell Alan Scott wants aside from protecting him against dead plant matter i.e. wood.

Are any of these in those silver age omnibus'?

This. House style is only bad when the artist stop caring about the detail and just add random lines every where for the sake of having detail like the shit Jim Lee always do.

you're thinking of the Hal side story in Dark Knight Master Race
