SPIDER-MAN'S PUTTING CHEMICALS IN THE WATERS THAT TURN THE FRICKIN' FROGS GAY!
Without the wig it really just seems like it’s just JK Simmons as himself or something.
Literally infowars
why did they make him bald?
They probably just brought him in for an hour...still super lazy of the costume department though
Am I the only one who loves how recent interpretations of JJJ have made him into Alex Jones?
So that he looks like a modern news pundit.
I like it as an introduction to the character but if PS4 Spidey 2 or MCU Spidey 3 don't humanize him then they've fucked up and just made him another crazy
HOW CAN YOU FUCK UP AN EASY AS FUCK CAMEO? HOW?!!!!!!!!!!
I think it has potential, I like it for now
He's been bald for over 2 decades
Is that JJJ as generic and bland as the rest of the Ffh cast? Because I don't see his assholiness and rapid fire comedy working in the MCU
i kinda hate how JJJ has changed, he used to be an antagonist to spidey, but a good guy to peter, the whole point was that he hated masked superheros because his wife was killed by a masked person, but he was an OK dude outside his hate of the main character,
now hes the evil angry white dude who went mad and obsessed with spiderman and is a massive peice of irredeemable shit, i was really hoping ps4 spider was gonna have a thing where he wasn't a massive dirtbag, but he was just alex jones constantly shouting at the dude forever
THEY'RE TURNING OUR SPIDERS GAY
FOR YOU
This.
>the whole point was that he hated masked superheros because his wife was killed by a masked person,
This was only in the 90's cartoon.
>the whole point was that he hated masked superheros because his wife was killed by a masked person, but he was an OK dude outside his hate of the main character,
this hasn't been a thing for decades
It's time to wake up people. This Spider-man is just a tool of the globalist agenda. He created these false flag attacks to seem like a real superhero. He tried to gain our trust. I got this info right from the source from the dead hero Mysterio who Spider-man murdered as part of his cover up.
Listen. I told you people about Nazi globalists taking over the secretive SHIELD organization. I had good sources on that. They were setting up a global monitoring network. We would have been living in a Nazi occupied police state. No one listened. Those goofballs The Avengers somehow woke up in time. Probably that great American hero Captain America helped wake everyone up to it. Then he was labeled an enemy of the state by globalist elites like Stark.
I hope you're listening now. Do not fall for these false flag attack.
And I have even more worrying things I'm hearing...
I'm iffy on it. It's a little clever, but I loved how when Jameson showed up in books where Spider-Man wasn't around to trigger his weird mania, he was a diehard journalist who genuinely cared about making his community better. Like how in Born Again he shit talks Ben for cowering away when he was threatened by Kingpin, and he tells him about the power of the press.
Even in the PS4 game where most of the time he's saying shit like Spider-Man eats pigeons, he uses his podcast to inform people what they should do in a time of crisis when the big breakout happens.
I hear big brother SHIELD has been taken over again. This time, not by human Nazis, but literal alien ones. After the Battle of New York, people woke up to the idea that aliens could invade Earth. It's like something out of a bad 1950s comic book, but it happened. Now I'm here to tell you, they already have. These aliens don't come in giant ships. They blend in among us pretending to be human. How do we know SHIELD hasn't been taken over again by these aliens? Maybe these aliens are behind Spider-man killing Mysterio. How do you trust your government when you don't know if they're even human. I'm even hearing reports that Captain Marvel, who has been working with SHIELD secretly for decades, isn't even human herself.
Troubling times, America.
> but a good guy to peter,
Yea Forums needs to be quarantined
If they left him his hairdo I'd be marking out for this fucking cameo. I still don't mind the adaptation and can get enjoyment in just seeing the actor reprise the role though.
I was meh on most of the movie, but the sequence with Peter trapped in the illusion was fucking fantastic.
that was the most unrealistic part of the movie. a big timer like JJ should have thrown a useless nobody like peter to the wolves when he had the chance.
The actor is bald
They probably didn't want a wig of him because they needed to feeld different than Raimi's and because people love JK simmons anyway, he's a much bigger name than in the Tobey days
Mysterio was honestly the best part of the movie
I hope the truth about what went down is never revealed to the public.
Mysterio's post-death keikaku was brilliant.
Hopefully his death is a fake too and he makes a comeback, he was an almost empathetic villain
MCU Spidey will humanize him as much as they humanize Flash Thompson. Everyone who is mean to Spidey or Peter is bad.
>rapid fire comedy working in the MCU
why? is that not inherent in the MCU?
Eh, JJJ is an ass to Peter and is a cheapskate when paying but he has a soft spot for him. Kind of like early Mr. Krabs and Spongebob.
Flash is humanized a shit on in FFH. Peter can read the peoples texts with his fancy glasses and Flash is talking to his mother if his father will be okay and then later on the mother doesn't come to pick him up
I was shocked when it turned out to be true
But Flash got a ton of humanisation, though, right up to it being hinted that the reason he's such an attention whore is because of absentee parents.
Reminder that Jameson got into the top 4 of a Yea Forums husbando tournament. He's /ourguy/ as far as I care.
Jameson should feel human. He shouldn't be some crazy guy who thinks Spider-Man sucks because he licks alien titties on a planet formed by Hillary Clinton. He should just have a bone to pick with Spidey and be an alright guy besides that.
It was great in the game because when he wasn't talking crazy shit about spidey he was actually right about everything else
but dude
alex jones
lmao
yeah but all they really have to do is give him moments in the MCU where he proves he's actually got integrity and character like they do everywhere else.
>you'll never have a cute highschool romance
Delet this
Nah
That was like some Scarecrow shit from the Arkham games, loved it
THE ILLUMINATI IS REAL. THE GLOBALISTS DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS. BLACK PANTHER, DR.STRANGE, AND THE LATE TONY STARK ARE ALL MEMBERS OF THE ILLUMINATI. BEN URICH AND THE OTHER FAKE NEWS PHONIES WOULD TELL YOU OTHERWISE.THAT’S BECAUSE THEY ON THE PAYROLL OF THE HELLFIRE CLUB, A GLOBALIST ORGANIZATION RUN BU MUTANTS. MUTANTS DO EXIST BUT SHEILD DOSEN’T WANT TO TELL THE PUBLIC THIER EXISTENCE. PERHAPS THAT MENACE SPIDERMAN IS A MUTANT. THAT SPIDERMAN LOOKS SO WEAK. HE HASN’T DRANK MALE VITALITY. AS ALWAYS, JAMESON OUT.
If this isn't the real dialog I'm gonna be so pissed. Anyway, thanks user
Of course, in theory, making JJ like Alex Jones only makes me like him more. Too bad they just want to turn him into a strawman instead of a decent character.
Funny. I went for a walk around a local area fulm of shops and art galleries. Most of them were already closed for the evening. I looked at a pile of business cards outside one shop. I had to do a double take. Someone had printed out their own cards for Infowars. I knew it was a more red section of a very blue state, but I was still surprised to see it.
based JJ
He was good to Peter. A tough love, sure, but he treated him with some fatherly love. The dynamic with Peter as a cub reporter with papa grizzly JJ running the show was great.
Jonah was right about a secret Nazi cabal taking over the deep state through SHIELD. I bet he is right about these attacks being staged too. I dunno if I trust this Mysterio fellow, but I think this Spider-man iz a bit of a goofball too. He followed that alcaholic globalist Stark a bit tok much. Stark had questionable near fascist plans for America himself. JJ is for the freedom of Americans, not the globalist police state SHIELD wants. the fascists of Hydra already used SHIELD once. Why should we trust them now? What is their ties to these aliens? How do we know shadow SHIELD honcho Nick Fury isn't hanging out with these sneaky aliens? Maybe's he's sunning himself on some alien beach somewhere while this whole mess was going down. JJ even questioned if crooked Captain Marvel is even human or some kind of weird hybrid tied with some alien interstellar civil war between alien groups.
JJ is right. We can't trust the deep state to prptect us. They are too in bed with globalists. Maybe even alien organizations. That is un-American. JJ is just sounding the call in this war of information. And the faithful hear the daily bugle call. Awooooooo! Yeah. That's my tempo.
>They're making the spiders gay!
Gay!
For you!
I'm not gay. I'm not gay, but I dance around in a gay gay way.
No it doesn't, without Peter's prior relationship with JJJ, what the fuck is the point of him knowing who Spider-Man is?"
I dont get it he is supposed to be a parody of alex jones yet the things JJ talks about are actually true
What is disney trying to say here?
Okay yeah Jameson and all that
But can we talk about how cool the whole first Mysterio/Spidey illusion fight was?
>S.H.I.E.L.D. did Sandy Hook. Nobody died, those were Life Model Decoys. Wake up, sheeple! It's all a pretext to confiscate our Chitauri Tech. What part of 'shall not be infringed' don't you understand? We'll have the lawyer for railroaded small business owner Adrian Toomes on in the first hour discussing just that. And stay tuned for the second hour, where we'll have David Icke discussing his controversial 'skrull' theory. Nothing is off the table here tonight, folks!
>he didn't spoiler the image
Thanks dude.
Why does this have the same color palette as Loss?
Are there going to be more MCU spider man movies or is the contract with Sony/Marvel finally done?
Holy shit my boner was hitting the seat in front of me, I can't believe Mysterio got his fucking justice
I'm really hoping he isn't dead though
Everything Alex Jones has said has eventually been proven true.
>5 million
>can destroy presidents
times sure have changed
The first scene was absolutely godlike, and Spidey figuring out how to beat it felt like a huge fucking apology for not including spidey sense in Homecoming
>everything
Please. I've listened to Alex for over a decade. He says a ton of bullshit too. One of his flaws is that he tossed spaghetti on the wall. He wants to create an outlet for fringe sources, which is both a gift and a curse. Sure he unveils a ton of government covered up secrets. He also highlights a ton of complete bunk.
talk about wholesome content
I liked that the ending suddenly had him swinging through Manhattan skyscrapers, the archetypal Spider-Man image that they'd been making a point of avoiding this whole time. Between that and Jonah appearing, it felt like a statement that Spider-Boy was ending and Spider-Man was beginning, and that Peter had finally begun to grow into the role to become the Spider-Man we all expect.
He's bald to make him look more like Alex Jones (and to cut off any dumb theory crafting about it being the same JJ from the Raimiverse which is somehow in the MCU or something)
I feel like it's not a stable place for the character to be long-term, because it turns him into just a douchebag, but this is a movie series so he can start off as a douchebag and have a hero moment and have a little arc that brings him closer to the comic character and then it works fine. If it's just a one-off cameo then it's a little weird for them to change him but I'm not opposed to it there either.
Jameson has never been a "good guy" to Peter, he's always kind of a dick. He won't turn Peter over to bad guys, but it's not like they're buddies.
The illusion bits were great. It was a little out of tone with the rest of the movie, but that just made them pop more. I like that they hinted that Peter blamed himself for Stark's death, but that the movie didn't make a whole *thing* out of that idea.
They made a point of Beck saying "Mysterio" was the whole team, so the MYSTERIO organization can and likely will be the villains of 3, and I wouldn't be shocked if Beck returned, too. Edith confirmed he was really dead, but Edith also got Spiderman to say "Execute them all".
Actually, Peter "transferred" Edith to Beck, he didn't share ownership. I thought the end would be Peter using a recording or something to use Mysterio's tricks against him to win Edith back, but instead she just followed his orders.
I think Mysterio is still in control of Edith, and told her to act like Peter was back in control, then faked his death, and that'll be the big twist in the next movie. It could just be a plot hole but they twice cut to Beck going "nyahaha I have a plan" during the final battle, so I think it might have been intentional
Does that mean they're going to recast all of the shitskins finally?
Go outside
wtf was the point of the after-after credits scene? I could hardly make out what was going on due to the heavy prosthetics on the skrull guy. What was Nick Fury doing at the end?
>mfw
Fury being a Skrull working for Fury might be one of the most pointless twists in all of cinema, but I guess the idea is that Fury is somehow in charge of the Skrulls now.
shit, meant to say “couldn’t tell what the skrull guy was saying bc of his prosthetics and gargly accent”.
I thought i had just missed the importance of that scene because i failed to understand what he was saying.
Isn't Spider-man literally the only hero in the MCU with a secret identity?
The Skrull who played Nick Fury was basically a bit of a comic doof, and it's supposed to explain why Fury was so much less competent in this movie than he should've been while setting up SWORD.
he was telling Fury that they gave Peter the glasses and then everything went balls up and that he couldn't keep up with everyone asking him about avengers shit and that Fury needs to come back.
So, I almost made an Alpha Flight shitpost, and then my mind went somewhere darker.
>SHIELD
>SWORD
Why wasn’t there a news broadcast covering the elementals being fake, and Mysterio being the one controlling them? It seems like a loose end that Happy (especially since ex employees being terrorists would be a bad look for stark industries), and Fury should have addressed.
I really enjoyed the end credit scene, and the potential for new content/problems it brings, but the question detracts from my
enjoyment of it.
Cause Mysterio survived and leaked the edited footage to make it look like Spider-man was the terrorist the whole time "He just wants to be the next Tony Stark so bad he's false flagging supervillian attacks!" and then leaked his identity so people have a united enemy
Watch Mysterio and the other villians come back as The Sinister six and Mysterio will make it seem like they're the heroes, a sort of New Avengers, fighting the evil Spider-Man
thanks anons.
Is SWORD supposed to be like an “away” team that addresses issues intergalactically, while SHIELD is just for defending earth?
Yeah i did understand that “twist”, i was moreso confused why there wasn’t an official press conference or something explaining what the elementals actually were. Even if Mysterio actually died, it doesn’t seem right for Nick or Stark industries to just brush the attacks under the carpet because Mysterio’s dead.
In my original comment i said that would conflict with the end credit scene, but it’s just been bugging me.
Do you really not know what sword is? Read some comics, man.
Who do you want as a Spider-Man 3 villain?
Me name grug no like read word
I probably should read up on the comics, there’s just so much to get into, so i’ve never bothered.
Childish Gambino as the Prowler for realzies.
Protects the earth from alien threats.
Keanu Reeves as The Kraven
Whys nobody talking about when the milf told peter to strip?
I have more respect for you admitting to plain not knowing shit because you don't read comics than for people who pretend to be experts based on reading wikipedia
I'm really glad they did Mysterio well in this. A full on impressive display of his powers and no morals that really held him back. A clean cut piece of shit.
this was leaked like a week ago man.
So JK Simmons is really back. I forgive Marvel much for this.
youtube.com
I DONT WANT SPIDER-MAN KISSING GOBLINS!
Lots of potential there. Wish the milf was thiccer tho
What the hell? Goblins are real?
no real reason to lie about comic knowledge hahaha. Cheers, user.
For a cameo. Raimi JJJ will always be kino and best.
There's really no reason to make him look like the Raimi version. Bringing in JKS is nostalgia pandering enough.
Wait, so were the Fury and Maria Hill we've been seeing since the MCU started Skrulls from the beginning, or was Fury just on the Skull ship ever since the end of Endgame?
Obviously the latter. Talos got conned by Mysterio, if he had been impersonating Fury since the 90's shit would have gone south before Iron Man 1.
Don't worry, his whole team is still running free. I'm sure we'll see more Mysterio in the future.
Daredevil
The CGI dream sequence was amazing and one of the best scenes in the MCU in an otherwise soulless film.
Its been long enough. Let's have another stab at Dr. Octopus.
Scorpion. They've been setting him up. He'll be the boss-fight while Jameson is comedic antagonist who causes his creation.
>Soulless
If you thought this film had no heart to it then you are just simply wrong chief. If you said that about Homecoming I would have understood, but this movie was honestly fantastic and I'm a Raimi shill.
Everything not involving Mysterio fell completely flat aside from Peter with Happy on the jet.
Isn't his father supposed to be an abusive drunk?
>Yea Forumsmblr will defend this because it stick it to the "evil alt-right white men"
Venom, Sand Man, and Green Goblin (Norman)
>can't find any flaws in villan's logic
>It's bad because he killed millions!
>superhero saves the status quo
every.fucking.time.
>CM's birth certificate
extremely deep. Would The mouse allow this?
It's alright, man.
I did, and I regret it.
I fucked it all up, and to this day I wish I never took that shot.
Hope that makes you feel better. You were one of the lucky ones.
The entire Maggia Syndicate hunting Peter down now that his identity is secret no more. I want Hammerhead, Silvermane, and Nefaria to finally make it to the big screen. Just make Scorpion an enforcer to one of the Maggia bosses. And cast Andy Garcia as Nefaria.
The illusion sequence was Dr Strange tier effects.
Also reminded me a lot of Mysterio's funhouse from the PS2 Spiderman 2 game, especially the house of mirrors
Well, I'm gonna see it later, but I hope it's alright. Homecoming is shit.
fucking furry fags that don't read comics
Stop being a retard. You're worse than people crying about /pol/ and /pol/fags themselves. Revisionist fag.
Because people can't go bald?
