Yea Forums often complains about things this show handled poorly, but what are some things that it did really well? there’s gotta be some good qualities cause Yea Forums literally never shuts up about this show
What went right?
Ludo was an excellent character that went from
Your basic weak, ineffective leader that orders his lackeys around
To a broken, insane survivalist who finally gets the power he's craved since his abusive childhood.
To a man desperately trying find redemption and inner peace while fighting his addiction to power.
To a loving brother who helps all his siblings escape their awful parents and live happily.
The only complaints I have about Ludo's arc is that it barely gets any screentime after Battle for Mewni and he never gets a chance to play a bigger part in the story past that point.
It did a pretty good job building up hype; the problem was almost always failing to deliver on it. So there are a bunch of episodes leading up to stuff that are legit better than the big plot revelations or developments that follow them.
I appreciate the effort put in so that we know like thirteen generations of the queens and what they did, plus how many there have been in total/how Mewni started. Some of that comes from the supplementary books and wasn't explicitly explained in the show, but since those books were written by people who also worked on the show I think it counts.
There's more stuff, mostly from the first 2 seasons, but I don't really care enough to list every single thing because complaining is more fun.
>Season 1
+Cute ensemble cast
+Great animation
+/-Le edgy Rick-IQ-level lizard man
+Fights every episode
+Shipping is at minimum
-Ludo and his groupies are kind of shallow
>Season 2
+Lore heavy
+Bigger stakes
+Delves more into the types of magic
+/-Setting up Eclipsa
+/- Lot of shipping/cuckqueaning shit
+Hekapoo
+Ludo is given lots of depth
-Season finale movie (technically part of season 3, but I will include it here as its part of the s2 arc) was a bit of a let down
-lot of crap side characters that amount to nothing like Hildawg, Comet Pizza Thing, Preston, etc
>Season 3
+More information on the Butterfly history
-Dropped the ball with Eclipsa
-Butterfly peasant reveal was kind of stupid and pointless
-Glossaryk was unbearably annoying
>Season 4
+Ransomgram QT
-Literally it
Jenna was one of the coolest female characters in recent cartoons.
Tom ha a tattoo?
I think it only showed up for the first time in S4 but don't quote me on that.
You can see it a few times in that season when he's wearing sleeveless shirts.
-Star going from a carefree priviliged brat to questioning social conventions and actually working towards positive social change ( minus the finale)
-Seeing Tom going from a selfish asshole to earnestly working on his problems to finally making a very difficult and selfless choice
-what said
None of it was pulled off perfectly, but still very enjoyable.
Janna. But she was pretty funny.
the porn
Ludo's the best character from soi-cartoons in a long while.
Moon makes my peepee hard.
Why is Ludo the best?
Explains it better than I could.
Also his solo episodes are kino especially Ludo in the Wild.
I literally only kept watching the show for the moments of Janna hitting on Marco
>he never gets a chance to play a bigger part in the story past that point.
Forgive me for sounding like a clickbait op-ed, but that's a good thing. /ourguy/ learned a thing or two from his time floating in the endless void between multiversal spacetime, saw which way the Hurricane Mewman-Autism was blowing, and said fuck that. That last scene with the basketball scoreboard was the perfect way to wrap up his story without dragging it into Star's Sailor Moon/Berserk cuckolding slashfic.
They nailed the cute and perfect shit. I didn't realize how lonely I was until I saw some of the starco stuff.
Moon's got that fat ass. Marco really hit the jackpot too since the flashback episodes have Star looking just like her mom but with no bangs.
Downside is she's going to inherit that turbo fucked up chin unless her dad's genes come in and save the day on that one.
I know that feel too well
>Star and Marco are cute and perfect.
>Ludo's evolution from "wacky villain" to learning to leave his old life behind and trying to make a better life for himself and his friends.
>Toffee being one of the best cartoon villains this decade, which would later bite the series in the ass.
>Janna is one of the better side characters of the series.
>The first two seasons are the best, as it's fun to watch Star react to mundane Earth stuff, and proceed to fuck it up with magic.
>Soundtrack is pretty good.
>Waifus, waifus everywhere.
>Ransomgram QT
I see your a man of culture as well
>They nailed the cute and perfect shit.
Only when it was Season 1/2 and not Starco.
Cuckposting
This, Star being the face of cuckqueans was the greatest game thing this show ever gave us.
I thought the Magical High Commission were genuinely fun and creative before they were needed as villains. Each of them embodying different elements of governed magic with unique designs and personalities that tied into their specific roles.
>Mom, why do all the other kids moms call Dad Papi? It makes me feel weird.
>Mom, how come none of us look like you or your parents? We look like dad though, even have the beauty mark.
>Mom, the girls at school call Dad the town bike. What does that mean?
>Mom, Aunt Jackie and Janna are here, and Dad pulled up. We'll be back after Spring Break.
There has to be a breaking point for Star. Too much cuckqueaning cannot be good for the mind or soul.
We need another Ransomgram thread
>caring about a thot's feelings
She deserves a nice mindfucking tbqh
True, but she’d probably get off to the mindfuck too.
>Marco, there’s something I’ve been meaning to you ask of you but I never had the courage to say it... until now.
Star?
>Marco, I love our life and marriage, our little home and pets and magic but I’m not satisfied.
Not satisfied! Where did it go wrong Star?
>It’s not you, it’s me. I want us to partake in an open relationship. I want to see you have sex with other women.
How can you ask such a thing Star! An open re-Can you repeat the last part?
>I want us to have an open relationship where you have sex with other women while I watch.
*a pleased Marco then faces the audience to the tune of this*
m.youtube.com
is this cropped porn or actually from the show?
it's cropped diaper fetish art drawn in the style of the show
Before the "twist" of the last season, Moon's entire character was probably my favorite take that Disney has ever done on the beleaguered princess just trying to do her duty and being forced to grow up too quickly in the face of tragedy.
What if higgs shows up to bully Marco?
Then Marco will bully her back with his dick.
I liked the three royal performers and the knight who did the laundry.
I say Moon is the most tragic character
Bueno
Star made cuckqeaning mainstream, hopefully the trend will continue to grow
Pasty, angry red heads were made for anal.
my penis has never gotten so flaccid reading something before.
some of the jokes and writing genuinely made me laugh, this was the only series this decade that made me chuckle more then a few times. Not much can make me laugh anymore.
Brian H Kim was probably the most consistently good part of the show.
Toffee being right was the only good thing to come out from Season 4
Also the cute mail delivery girl
I strive to have Toffee's demeanor
Sucks that the twist ruins her character.
Season 1 and 2 had soul, season 3 and 4 are shit. You will never change my mind.
Higgs would make a perfect candidate for Star's cuck fantasies
Brian H. Kim is an Eclipsafucker and is thus basically dead to me
no actually his music was honestly pretty great, he just has SHIT TASTE
>what are some things that it did really well?
Ok, here is the list:
>Star’s jilling it while Marco full-nelson fucks Higgs
>Higgs roasts Star for being able to please Marco
>Star’s eyes roll back from her cuck-orgasm
I like Star's leitmotif. Also, Season one had more consistent (or repetitive if you want) soundtrack. He seems to like to release their themes, but I have a theme in my head that was played a lot in season one, but he didn't release it or I just don't have its name. Brian seems to have different tastes than me, but still, he's a good composer.
>Mom I found this letter in the mail. It had Dad’s name on it so I got curious and opened it. I didn’t know Dad was a movie star because these guys from Tushy want him back to do another movie. Tushy. Heh what a silly name.
Reminder that she probably was dead by the time Marco gave Star the Cape he made for her.
I've been watching the threads these last few weeks as an outsider & have never watched the show except for a bunch of random clips on youtube recently. But i'm now watching the series in its entirety & am in the middle of S02. It was teenaged Moon that got me serious about watching this show. And I agree with your opinion, one can almost sense the sadness & tragedy of the loss of her Mom & suddenly being thrust into governing her empire.
And there's something about Eclipsa that I like. I think it's the quiet dignity about her. She's also quite pretty as far as cartoon characters go. I like her dress style and that signature hat of hers. It reminds me of the scene that introduces Kate Winslett's character in the movie 'Titanic' as she boards the ship. She also has a fun side that occasionally slips out. :^)
He cucked her in that burn.
I love everything about Moon except that no-chin.
She'd look so much better with just a slightly elongated version of Star's face...
I thought Yea Forums already forgotten about star
>but what are some things that it did really well?
The hugs. I was looking for a cartoon with an m/f friendship because other ships I like are similar to that; and sweet platonic gestures that are part of a relationship built on complete mutual trust is my jam.
Like seriously these two assholes hugged at least once every episode. It's cute and good. Hug your friends, anons.
source plz
the laundry knight was the true hero of this show
the unappreciated professional working stiff
Fuck off back to R3ddit you stupid niggerfaggot poltard.
>
thos world do have a interesting lore behind.
queen Moon was a cool character before the finale.
post proof
>queen Moon was a cool character before the finale.
She still was; the show just acted like she wasn't the only one making sense.
With the mutant piggoats
Don't forget to sleep with your friends anons
Post proof of what, his music being good or him being an Eclipsafucker?
Just listen to his music if you want to decide if it's good, or, to see him being an Eclipsafucker, go to his tumblr (brianwithanh), and just cast your eyes over the gushing praise he has for Eclipsa as a supposedly super deep and tragic character that he ejaculates over every track he uploads sung by or about her, plus multiple offsite interviews where he busts a load to her as well.
And I guess in case it isn't clear, I'm just using "Eclipsafucker" as a really low-effort derisive term for people on the crew delusional enough to think Eclipsa isn't like the pinnacle of Star Vs.'s shit writing. I don't literally mean he has an Eclipsa dakimakura and talks about jerking off to her, but like in my eyes he might as well
the first two seasons
Except for Toffee and Mewni lore, they are not that good.
I'm rewatching them and the high school humor is kinda painful sometimes. Also shipping drama in Season 2 ruined the whole show as it cought so many attention Nefcy thought we needed more of that shit in seasons 3 and 4.
For me the best thing are the queens because, not only they are far from being these ultra perfect entities from other media but they are openly selfish (all of them) and failures as leaders.
The pro-democracy/anti-monarchy propaganda is kino.
This
Moon was not supposed to be a good queen just someone who followed traditions blindly thinking that was the best course of action.
This cause her people to live in total poverty and misery, the monster conflict to have no end, her mewman allies being wiped out and massacred by pigeons, to backstab every single character who has ever trusted her, abandon her kingdom three times because she consider her own life to be the only one with real value and almost condemn them all by joining a psycho's side.
Her style was done on purpose. She is representing French royalty before the Revolution.
Each queen was supposed to represent a bad kind of monarchy from real life.
The only exceptions were Comet (who is murdered precisely to show how Moon would destroy her legacy later because muh traditions) and Jushtin.
Jushtin is prexisely an example of how heir were chosen for their gender instead of merits. European nobles would rather have a literal retard held the family title that give it to their daughters.
As Mewni is a matriarchy it works in the opposite way, with a genocidal feminazi being given the crown instead of her brother, the diplomat.
>when he let’s you sleep in his arms after he finishes rawdogging the entire cheerleader team
Cute and Perfect!
>he doesn't even wipe his dick so he smells like everyone's pussy but yours
>its ok, he still rests his prized phallus between you thighs but never makes skin contact
Star deserves this fate from a certain point of view.
>in the end Marco rests happily in my arms, so really I win in the end
Cuckcope is the worst type of cope.
Marco should have appointed himself to the princessguard as a knight of Earth. Mewni chivalry codes be damned, he could carve through the Butterfly knights like cutting a cake.
I would’ve loved to see him as a real Mewni knight in training, like have him take Star’s fish out of water position now that he left earth.
Designing very attractive characters, male and female.
Very unique and nice outfit designs, especially all of Star's dresses and accessories
Soundtrack and original songs were all pretty fun especially Love Sentence and the princess song
Good humor I felt it most had some LOLSORANDUM humor but it also had a lot of funny jokes
Regardless of shipping shit, Star and Marco had a really good friendship 90% of the time which I feel is rarer nowadays
A lot of the lore was great even if some of it was in a side book
On a less serious note, it had a fair amount of fetish fuel for those of you that were into it
Except Moon and River were assholes and by the time Eclipsa got in charge and praised Marco for his talents it was the last season... so no time left to show it.
Which reminds me, one thing that got this show right is my fetish for ponytails. Both Star and Eclipsa look great with them.
>I knight thee thy Princess Butterfly’s Royal Bull
It would’ve been neat to see him struggle and fail and then pick himself up and try again. Find new friends to protect his back.
I know right, River thinking the boy with dimensional scissors that spent more than a year living with his daughter wouldn't be back was dumb as hell.
Also, I think Marco screwed himself by not demonstrating his prowess right then and there. He was like almost as old as Moon at that point in experience.
It was a really weird decision to suddenly have everyone shit on Marco for coming back, especially the bit about the cape.
The whole thing just felt like unnecessary drama for drama's sake, especially since it's pretty much gone after the episode.
Real missed opportunity to have Marco blow up in Stars face and remind her that she screwed up his life to the point that he couldn't stand living on Earth anymore so she better fucking deal with him coming back.
That whole episode made it seem that Marco didn't mean much to Star or her family. Only Eclipsa and the laundry knight appreciated knowing Marco, the liberator of butterfly castle, was back.
Marco should have taken Tad's advice and escape that shitshow.
He seemed to be moving on for a while, but then he broke up with his rebound off-screen.
Are Starcofags the only people who defend Season 4?
The whole season is a mess, especially the finale, but yes I got some enjoyment out of it.
Tom and Ludo had satisfying conclusions to their arcs and there were some nice episodes sprinkled in (Knight Shift, Beach Day). I also personally liked how Starco played out.
Unfortunately Starco is the only thing barely satisfying about the end.
Nah Janna cleaning the state clean with Marco was the only good thing to come out of the ending.
Where the fuck is the sauce on this pasta.
Ludo should have been the villain of Season 2 entirely.
Have Toffee absent the whole season and make that scene where Ludo is possesed by him more like he is ''enlightened'' by the book.
He creates a new monster crew with more competents monsters and fights the MHC and Moon with them with the reveal that the ''voice in his head tells him how to fight them''
Then, in Battle Of Mewni when Star gets into the wand, the reveal of Toffee being in the corrupted Realm Of Magic manipulating Ludo feels more effective because you see him again after a whole season and because he was always there behind the curtains.
can anyone tell me what the hell actually happened to this show? Season 1 and 2 were great but after that the story became completely bizarre and uninteresting (thats without even considering the literal cuckshit). Why did this happen? How did it happen? Most importantly, who can we blame this on?
>Most importantly, who can we blame this on?
Daron Nefcy, the creator of SVTFOE. She took a hands off approach to Seasons 3/4 and the show suffered for it.
Janna and Marco had the best relationship in the series
You're full of shit and need to let go.
Let it go Starcuck, your waifu happily watches her boyfriend sink his ten incher in Janna’s tight Filipina rear.
It was more entertaining than watching Marco and Star’s Season 3&4 romance, and they ended on a good note. Nice.
manna is dead
>posts a ship the few Based on the team writers destroyed and shat on to save /ourbanana/
Lmao, it’s alive more than ever now that they’re on good terms and Star has to find a replacement for Jackie.
But the cuck stuff ended up fine
There was a time where most anons would anxiously await for the next SVTFOE thread when a new episode came on because it meant awesome OC like that. Where did those good times go?
somewhere around the start of season 3 and next to the Trashening
We lost a bunch of good people that day...
Starco!
>somewhere around the start of season 3 and next to the Trashening
And then Season 3 progressed and our truest fears were confirmed: Nefcy was not /ourgirl/.
>Pasty, angry red heads were made for anal.
arn't most red heads angry
it really was mind blowing once season 3 rolled around
we were known as a hugbox back in season one, and now in season 3 holy shit, we lost a good bunch of Artists, all the OC came to a grinding halt, and fuck me even the Table stuff was something against the nothingness
We even stopped getting Greentexts, those hurt the most
>all those greentexts, all those pastebins, all the funny pictures, and comfy moments
The board's attitude towards the show changed too and not in a good way because I remember everyone being upset with the quality decline, well not everybody since I remember the Starcofags acting vindicated as fuck because Season 3 killed off Jackie despite Star and Marco getting worse. I left the threads alone until the last season where we had a tiny resurgence but not Golden Age levels of Season 1/2.
I used to write a handful of non-serious short greentexts, mostly about Marco being a loser or Star being a bitch to him (and sometimes vice versa; they were meant as jokes to counter the actual tone of their friendship in the show and typical Yea Forums fluffy greentexts), and when I look back on them it's kinda sad, because I obviously gave enough of a fuck about the characters and show just to be thinking about Star and Marco that much and writing them in imagined scenarios etc. I was just having a lot of fun with the universe, and then by the time of S3/4 it's like I didn't even WANT to think of any characters doing anything outside of the show because I just fucking hated them all
I guess it just became less funny when the show actually became, for real, about Marco being a loser and Star being a bitch. Also too much I didn't like happened that outweighed all the stuff I actually did
wait this was supposed to be the positive thread
>when I look back on them it's kinda sad, because I obviously gave enough of a fuck about the characters and show just to be thinking about Star and Marco that much and writing them in imagined scenarios etc
Are you me? I discovered SVTFOE when I was finished with some surgery and I caught the show on the hospital tv. I fell in quickly because Star was cute and Marco was a likable loser and I loved to share greentexts on the new episode threads. Then comes Season 3 and it ruined everything.
>wait this was supposed to be the positive thread
Letting go of frustrations and disappointment is a positive thing.
I really wish I payed more attention when this first started up, now I'm stuck drawing postmortem characters from a dead show
>I really wish I payed more attention when this first started up
Season 2 ended on a high note and we were all anxious to see what would happen next. Then we did in the "movie". Really she should've seen the writing on the wall there but everyone liked Nefcy for the most part so we let it slide.
>now I'm stuck drawing postmortem characters from a dead show
At least you're not Moringmark.
speaking of wich, what happened in the movie?
maybe it's my brain trying to protect me but hot damn i can't remember a thing from season 2 onwards
Where did it all go wrong?
That is one sad & shitty picture. :-/
The series started developing. It became less Slice of life and there were more important episodes for the big story, all of this while trying to keep shipfags stuck to the story. For you, it probably was meant to be bizarre and uninteresting. Nefcy seems to try to be involved more in the episode production. But I see that even as she had good intentions, writing an interesting story, while trying to give shippers what they didn't want, time constraints and trying to convey the right feelings from the characters without ruining the surprise was really too much for her.
In my opinion, it'd have been too much for any writer. But it's her fault for developing that kind of story
>At least you're not Moringmark
I wasn't aware of this guy, holy shit is he unlucky
Star killed Toffee and purified the Realm of Magic, Eclipsa was first shown in Moon's flashback as we learned that Moon entered into a contract with her and Toffee killed her mother, Ludo got thrown into the void once again in pursuit of a better life after also killing Toffee once he learned he was always just a pawn in his plans. That's more or less it.
I personally liked it but it should've just ended right there on a relatively high note
Eclipsa was first shown in person/got lines, that is.
>speaking of wich, what happened in the movie?
I'm a bit hazy too but Ludo and his rats take over Mewni Castle because Rivers is a fucking moron and Marco comes to find Star. Star and Moon escape to Buff Frog, Toffee escapes rekts Star, but she comes back and kills him. Everyone was mixed on it cause Toffee died a jobber.
>maybe it's my brain trying to protect me but hot damn i can't remember a thing from season 2 onwards
Same thing happens to children who see traumatic shit and their brains can't comprehend what happened so they just shut it off. I think the same is happening to you.
>Where did it all go wrong?
Seasons 3/4, Nefcy left to work on the book so the writers were free to do what they wanted and Nefcy was cool with it. She also never expected a forth season so she stretched it out.
T. Starcuck
>they never got to see Adult Marco in all his Chad glory
WE WERE FUCKING ROBBED
Series should have ended with Marco in a menage a trois with these two
Tell me about it!
I myself would've been "Fine" with Tomstar in S3 & 4 if they didn't cut on Star and Marco hanging out or having genuine best friends fun (No Tom please! 3 Episodes and I got sick of him!).
But Noooo, the show had to sideline Marco into useless human role, and bash him for daring to come back to the point of people actually believing the show would send him off for the better, and making him a seething jealous of Tomstar.
It's near impossible to a write a fanfiction in S3 & 4 time without it being "break Tomstar + Starco happens" (There are some, but they were downright depressing when discussing what's left for Marco on Mewni, ending with him getting back to Earth or settling with Jackie and forgetting about Mewni & Star altogether).
>Not a harem ending with marco Pounding every dimension into submission
"Hey Star I'm going to establish a caliphate over Mewni and have my own harem and there's nothing you can do about it."
the series should've left tom in season 1 with all those other shitty characters
Check out "Marcocrushed" by Jack Coffison on Fanfiction. Happens in S3.
Never in my life have I read something sooo good and soul-crushing in the same time. Dear God!
>Check out "Marcocrushed" by Jack Coffison on Fanfiction. Happens in S3.
>Lasted updated in 2018
Why does this always happen to me...
Fuck off nigger, with your shitty self inserts of worst girls.
>Nefcy left to work on the book
Not just her but a executive producer (forgot his name) was also helping on working on it. The Book of Spells was done before season 4 aired, but there is no doubt that most of Nefcy’s and that exec producer time went to the book during season 3 to early season 4.
Star is canonically a skinny gurl.
Last Updated on March 18, 2018.
6 Days before Booth Buddies.
Life is a bitch, you know?
Fuck off with this retarded anime fanfiction way of ruin a great ending for a amazing series. Starco is pure and wholesome. Fuck off back to R3ddit.
You're making it too obvious.
Was that producer the Italian-name dude who left?
>tfw you'll never see a between friends tier comic where marco bites the shit out of star and she loves it
>tfw you have never been held or cuddled like this in your entire life
user, i need the sauce right now
>Boy Star, Female Marco
Then it's legit shit.
give it time user, you're a charming lad
surely in no time you'll find that special someone
>Implying Area's done
She's working on another SVTFOE comic and a new comic for Boku no Hero
>caring about Area or Starco at all
SAINT JOHN THE IGNORANT REQUIRE YOUR TRUTH
That shit was so jarring to me. It's so cringe and stupid that when I rewatch that season I often just skip the episode all together.
Lavabo and Eclipsa were the only two that seemed like they had a memory that lasted longer than an episode and I honestly thought that was a sign the starco shit wasn't going to happen. I also kinda hated how they kept playing off Marco as some wimpy nobody when he spent like 16 years being a mix of Samurai Jack and Mad Max. If his heart was even an iota less pure he would have ended up like Jetstream Sam just wandering the multiverse, sharpening his skills, and dispensing justice but only to those who deserve it.
If Nefcy and Bobby get divorced, then the show would get super fucking awkward on rewatch.
>Moringmark
quick rundown? I used to read shipping wars back when he first started drawing but Ive been out of the loop for awhile, what happened?
imagine if bleedman gave in to incest and shipping and threw OC's everywhere to try and make a story
It started off strong but went to complete shit
Dude OD on Starco and Jarco kids and never went anywhere with it. Also he's pretty boring.
>Talking shit about a guy who makes cute shit for free and is consistent with his release schedule.
You ungrateful mongrel scum. You could just fucking not be a pissbaby about it but no. Your low breeding shows itself.
How based would it have been if things did turn out like that though. It would also have been kinda funny watching a 14 year old kid wander around with a blood red Muramasa type katana attached to his hip.
>M-marco you can't just wander around with a sword like that!
>Ah, is that so? Then take it from me.
>you can't critique him because he does it for free and I think it's cute
Nah, it was shit and a failure on his part.
>stating your opinion as fact instead of prefacing them as a constructive criticisms.
Yeah, nah.
>Yeah, nah.
Nah, yeah.
> start sounding "the only thing i know for real"
Woo! Nice legs, m'lady!
>Janna's flat chested so you're closer to her heart
or
>Jackie's nice thicc thighs to rest your spic head on
brooos I can't chose
The show would have been a whole lot better with Marco as the main character.
>not 56% another white valley girl's bloodline with your spic dic
It's like you don't even have priorities.
Somebody make art of this
>It's like you don't even have priorities.
>he doesn't know the Filipinos are the most powerful race in the world
>doesn't know that the Mexican people are la Raza Cosmica, literally the Cosmic Race
Americans of Filipino and Mexicans heritage are literally the Master Race.
>Marco as Jetstream Sam
I'll start on this tomorrow
A quick google search to see if this had been done yielded this gem.
well, shit
>what went right?
Me never watching it, as to take part in discussions.
Just deviantart my shit up senpai
The second-hand cucking in that episode was too strong for me.
Be careful with any edge. I suggest a more practical mad max Marco armed with el chapo and his scissors.
>I suggest a more practical mad max Marco armed with el chapo and his scissors.
Street in Mewni circa 2019 after accepting refugees from Juarez, Mexico.
I feel like this is a guy who tries really hard to let you know he's a tough guy but really isn't.
Jetstream Marco wouldn't fuck around, he'd just roll in with his armor, fuck your entire operation up and kill you and he'd joke and bullshit you the entire time.
>Call me biased, frog. But those seem like pretty dumb orders.
>Why don't you try thinking for yourself for once?
Well, if that would create more chads like Marco in the future, so be it. Let cucks like Star pay the children's tab
>That shirt
I can smell the Fate/Stay Night influence just dripping off this. I hate how anime outfits and warriors are always about the romanticism of the fight. They never draw attention to the simple beauty and respect that should be associated with a guy who is all about the raw practicality of his business. No fair fights, no unprotected vital organs, no advertising your magic tattoos with rolled up sleeves.
It should be all about the stealth and the careful consideration and choosing of who you fight and where. Marco's character lends itself to the well prepared adventurer, he's the Goblin Slayer, his entire deal should be that he leaves nothing to chance and denies the gods their dice roll.
trying too hard, overdesigned,
Drop the tattoos, drop the amulet, drop the eye, then it looks okay
how have I never seen that picture before
amazing
Get rid of the skin tight shirt, he should have his hoodie or something that's the same color as his hoodie, get rid of the magic pet, his only pet should be Nachos and or a pack of laser puppies both of whom he loves very much.
Keep the bandoleer with tools but also have him carry around a lot of leather "fanny pack" style bags around his waist like a utility belt. Both eyes should be open, but the scar should remain. I don't know how to describe it but the eyes should have no business on a 14 year old kid, it should be the eyes of a guy who's seen some shit.
The Katana should be attached to the hip in the traditional fashion which means the cutting edge should face up. If you insist on staying on model sword can be El Chapo or a Metal Gear inspired Murasama style blade. If you're going with a Jetstream Sam inspired crossover his sword arm should be covered with a type of armor preferably black with his red hoodie cover.
Bueno
I couldn't sleep so I started laying it out
I figured instead of a katana I could give him a scissor blade based on his scissors
Now that I'm looking at it though its pretty edgy desu
Blade is too big hombre. Marco is a dyed in the wool weaboo it's a katana or nothin'. As a side note I hope you keep his hoodie. I like the idea of Jetstream Marco but also him retaining his weird hoodie lust.
Otherwise i'm pretty amped, i'm pleased my drunk rambling is generating fan art.
Looks pretty fuckin' rad so far
Marco does have a katana in the show. He barely uses it as a sword due to the pg curse, but it's there.
yes
YEAS
the green parts of Sam's outfit should be hoodie
It was a really pleasant surprise to see how pure Marco's bond with Eclipsa got.
After a whole season being the target of constant humilliation, having a queen who openly respected, trusted and cared for him was a sweet change.
Shit I nearly forgot about that, I got it now
Eclipsa was a shit queen but she's otherwise a top shelf lady. Globgor got himself a real prize there.
not enough Kelly
This.
I love the episode in which she knights Marco. Everybody is either paranoid or angry over him quitting, but Eclipsa respects his choice with no second thoughts.
Mainly because of two reasons:
1- She understands better than anybody else what it feels when you are trapped forever in a job you don't want to do (or don't feel ready to pull out) and that's why she abdicated in the past... among other stuff.
2- She knows Marco's loyalty to her is not linked to the knight title. Proof of this is the fact that he kept on babysitting Meteora and even claimed he was proud of doing so. She truly trusts him.
Globgor got himself a good wife.
I went with
the outer bits of sams armor are kinda strapped onto his hoodie, I also moved his tacticool pouches to where his hoodie pockets should be, to try and emulate the shape
I also dug how Marco dropped that he'd been knighted like seven times already and it wasn't even a big deal to him anymore. He chose what he did with his time on the basis of love. Fuckin' pic related.
On the flip side I thought it was stupid and out of character that he spent a whole episode bragging about being a knight of mewni but im willing to chalk that up to the fact that he didn't realize he really and truly fell head over heels for a hyper active blond dumbass.
That we can fix
Fucking based.
Wrong image, blame the lack of sleep on that
I'm kind of confused as to the difference in wearing the sword blade up or down. From what I can tell if a samurai was wearing traditional armor the blade faced down but if he was in a kimono then the blade usually faced up.
I was under the impression that the blade draw was more in the hips than the arms. You grip the blade and essentially face sideways by taking a step back with one foot, the shifting of the hips draws the blade out and you do the rest with your arm. With practice it's a fluid fast motion.
Maybe it's harder to do that in clunky heavy armor? In either case Sam has a fucking lower receiver from an AR-15 built into the blade hilt so he can eject it super fast with gun powder.
Janna... simply Janna.
Here it is so far, I'll finish up later since I just pulled an all nighter
drawfag so based he sauses immediate tissue damage on skin contact
That's what I call patrician taste.
Ponytail Eclipsa and Star were God tier.
Fucking fantastic. Great work so far.
Fucking beautiful dude
no love for ponytail kelly?
I guess that's just regular non-hairball kelly but still
>Season 1
>Great animation

Moon eepeatedly sacrifices personal happiness for duty. You can tell she's deeplu unfulfilled but pushes on for the good of the kingdom.
Honestly; I don't think it does.
It would have been better without her creating new warriors, but leveraging the situation to get Eclipsa (who has been a shitty queen, if not a shitty person) without bloodshd would have been a pretty good way.
She warmed up a bit to Bufffrog ealier, so she'd probably try to improve the conditions of monsters in non-retarded way (not throwing people out of houses their families have lived in for 300 years).
The only flaw was her being unable to depower the wariiors, which doesn't make any sense to begin with.
And as pointed out; she isn't happy about it, but to her duty and the realm comes before everything else, including her own daughter.
based
What good for the kingdom?
Are you talking when her people were hungry and living surrounded by dirt and she was partying surrounded by luxury? She even dresses like Maria Antonieta and bakes pies!
Or when she decided to run away and hide (twice) while mewmans were being conquered and killed?
Oh, and my favourite, when she orchestated two terrorist attacks against thousands of civilians to kick Eclipsa out of the throne even though Eclipsa herself, the villagers and Star ASKED ABOUT HER OPINION OF THE ISSUE and she said she was going to respect Star's order (even though she could say no at any moment, peacefuly)?
Moon was the worst kind of queen, the one who doesn't realize how shitty she is and covers her lies and selfishness with the lie "it's for their own good"
Star did a good thing ending the age of queens, except for Jushtin and Comet they were all terrible leaders.
>What good for the kingdom?
the part where they don't get eaten by monsters
>Are you talking when her people were hungry and living surrounded by dirt
Pretty sure that's just a couple of gags in one episode; the average Mewnian seems to be doing pretty okay for a pre-industry society.
Also Moon is literally shielding their corn from theft or attack with her magic.
>Or when she decided to run away and hide (twice) while mewmans were being conquered and killed?
Gonna need a some documentation on the *being killed* part. Also it was running to live and fight another day. The alternative would be leaving the kingdom defenseless.
>Oh, and my favourite, when she orchestated two terrorist attacks against thousands of civilians to kick Eclipsa out of the thron
As mentioned, she felt it was a necessary evil.
>and she said she was going to respect Star's order
That was before Ecplipsa managed to piss off most of the population, proved herself neglectful of her duties, made the MHC even more hostile than they already were by attacking Romulus, failed to take any precautions despite knowing Mina was still around....
Spinoff when?
Five star post.
>What good for the kingdom?
A stable society where people are safe and the rule of law is in effect.
Never fucking ever.
>the part where they don't get eaten by monsters
They still were, we see during one of River's adventures that they attack on a daily basis and citizens from the city centre get eaten.
Pigeons massacred a whole noble mewman family and Moon treated them as equals.
She let rats take over and run away.
>Pretty sure that's just a couple of gags in one episode; the average Mewnian seems to be doing pretty okay for a pre-industry society.
We see Mewni lots of times during the first two seasons and it's always described as a shithole of poverty in which all splerdor is focused on the castle.
First time we see a pre-industrial kind of town is with Eclipsa.
>Also Moon is literally shielding their corn from theft or attack with her magic.
Corn only the wealthy can eat, mewmans eat and sell rubbish from the ground. And the shield is so bad a giant monster comes in everyday to steal it. When River wants to fight the monster Moon says that's not the duty of monarchy (Book of Spells)
>Gonna need a some documentation on the *being killed* part. Also it was running to live and fight another day. The alternative would be leaving the kingdom defenseless.
No, she is afraid to die and the "fight another day" is an excuse even Star realized wasn't going to happen. Moon is still that traumatized kid that needs someone else to assure her everything's going to work out, so she can stop hiding.
Moon wasn't getting ready or thinking about a plan, just sobbing over how miserable she was.
> As mentioned, she felt it was a necessary evil.
She didn't. When questioned she admited it was revenge over the whole "I lost my memory for two weeks" deal.
>That was before Ecplipsa managed to piss off most of the population
Moon herself states is the villagers' fault for not talking to Eclipsa.
>made the MHC even more hostile than they already were by attacking Romulus
Moon syraight up lied to the MHC in Season 2 and Star beat up Rhombulus too.
Who cares?
>Not posting the superior version
Echo Creek? Because mewmans have always been shown about to die or fighting with monsters or themselves.
The closest to that idea has been post-democratic Mewni with Eclipsa... you know, before Moon's terrorist attack.
Right after Marco’s first marriage is annulled.
>ywn play with American Narancia and her busty friend
>They still were, we see during one of River's adventures that they attack on a daily basis and citizens from the city centre get eaten.
As opposed to everyone getting eaten
>Pigeons massacred a whole noble mewman family and Moon treated them as equals.
Yeah; it's called diplomacy. Because an alliance is preferable to war.
>We see Mewni lots of times during the first two seasons and it's always described as a shithole of poverty in which all splerdor is focused on the castle.
Not really.
We get one episode of Star purposely leading the Diazs through the slums to avoid running into anyone she might know. Every other time we see Mewnians doing pretty okay.
>First time we see a pre-industrial kind of town is with Eclipsa.
There is literally no difference between New Monster town and the original kingdom except more monsters.
>Corn only the wealthy can eat, mewmans eat and sell rubbish from the ground.
It's sold at the fucking football game and in vending machines.
Also half the book of spells is dedicated to the various Queens figuring out how to protect their subjects from monsters.
>Moon is still that traumatized kid that needs someone else to assure her everything's going to work out, so she can stop hiding.
So you didn't watch the episode about her literally doing the opposite when her mom was killed?
>She didn't. When questioned she admited it was revenge over the whole "I lost my memory for two weeks" deal.
That wasn't her main motivation. Otherwise she would have conspired with Mina and the MHC much earlier. It took a long time of watching Ecplisa fucking up before Moon decided to take action.
>Moon syraight up lied to the MHC in Season 2 and Star beat up Rhombulus too.
>Who cares?
The MHC respects Moon; she can get away with certain things.
Eclipsa didn't have that going for her. It should have been her priority to get on good terms with them; they're kinda essential to running the kingdom.
Marco gets turned into a yam for an entire year and plays it off as just an embarrassing story.
Moon looses her memory for two weeks and makes pies in the meantime and triggers a series of events that destroys all magic.
Don't be a Moon.
Meteora's lesson.
Perfect combination of lore, fun, magic and mindfuck. My favourite episode along with Into the Wand.
Work on your reading comprehension.
You didn't give Disney enough of your shekels, so never.
The only thing this show did right.
Rest in spaghetti H-poo
The only acceptable alternative to Starco.
Speaking of shekels, remember when Nefcy made the first SVFOE comic and pleaded everyone to buy it so there would be more comics, but we didn’t and they never made any more? I remember.
I reject the reality, and substitute my own.
No you don't.
You're just another shitposter fishing for any sort of attention.
Sorry desu, but it’s the truth.
no shekels = no new things
Weren't there like 16 issues order but only like 4 were released before cancellation?
I actually quite liked how chill she was about going out.
Only thing missing was her gulping down her drink and yanking Talon into some closet.
Yeah, poor sales were the reason for the cancellation.
But she shouldn't had started with Star playing cupid with mom and dad in the past... and freaking Ponihead!
Comics should had focused on expanding the universe.
There were only 8 planned (and even completely written/partially drawn, we'll just likely never get to see them anytime soon) and we got 4, so not quite as bad as that.
>But she shouldn't had started with Star playing cupid with mom and dad in the past
I fucking hate these kind of stories.
Not only are they lazy as fuck, they also tend to portray one parent (usually the dad) as some fucking pathetic loser and the other as some retard with the memory of a goldfish that just needs to be impressed by slightly outdoing the other guy.
I like Moon's and Eclipsa's bond.
Yeah, Moon fucked up (colosal levels) but ultimately couldn't hate Eclipsa and wanted for her to be safe with Globgor and Meteora.
Eclipsa could have humiliated Moon after that like Star did but was incredibly supporting. Defended Moon from a pub bully and got her out of her depression by planning a counter-attack in which they could fight together.
Now that there's no crown to fight for, I'm sure they are besties.
>pic
Eclipsa brought her seperation upon herself, unlike Moon, who got betrayed by Eclipsa while fighting to save Mewni from a soulsucking monster.
I felt the Magic Commission as whole were pretty good. How Rhombulus and Omnitraxus were handled near the end felt too forced and out of character for me.
>upon herself
It was a betrayal too. Eclipsa ended the war by defeating the septarian army, abdicating and marrying the monster king.
The MHC was free to choose whoever queen they wanted after that, all she asked for is to live peacefuly with her family... but nope! Let's crystalize her, kidnap her baby, make her husband go mad and crystalize him too.
After that Young Moon comes and makes a deal with Eclipsa. Swearing she will free her, she proceeds to miss on purpose to not do so (Moon betrays Eclipsa after she saved the kingdom with her spell)
Once again, Eclipsa doesn't care and just asks to live at peace with her daughter. Moon attacks Meteora like a coward when she has stopped being aggresive (Eclipsa had reached her heart) and is about to murder someone in front of her mother... WHAT THE FUCK DID SHE EXPECT FROM ECLIPSA? as a mother she should have known what was going to happen.
Eclipsa didn't betray Moon, just stopped her from Murdering her daughter by holding her. The rest was an accident and the fact that she can't really hate Eclipsa (even when she forces herself to) means she knows it deep inside.
I agree with user in Moon's and Eclipsa's bond is strangely complex for a kids' show and it's one of the best parts of the show.
>Eclipsa ended the war by defeating the septarian army, abdicating and marrying the monster king.
The fuck are getting this from?
She murdered one dude, presumably Seth, and then ran off with Globgor while the war was still on.
>Moon attacks Meteora like a coward when she has stopped being aggresive
So, have you just not watched any of the episodes you're talking about?
Or making Marco say something in his adult voice
Gods, what a stupid plot
Also acceptable.
>bikini H-poo
Post more
Marco should have shacked up instead of third wheeling for two seasons.
The finale sucked, but I liked how it actually tried something fresh and new. Admit it, literally the only predictable thing in the finale was Starco. Everything else people couldn't see coming. It was very ambitious in its themes and storytelling. So while I'm disappointed with how a lot of things went down, I still think it's overall a step in the right direction in terms of more complex storytelling for Western cartoons.
He just was too much of an innocent cinnamon bun to take it there.
It's a shame, but if he wasn't like that, she probably wouldn't have fallen for him the way she did.
It did though, for at least the first half. Sometime around halfway through they switched to a cheapen studio because Hirsch needed more money for his shitty mystery show's flop of a finale and the animation never really recovered.
>I still think it's overall a step in the right direction in terms of more complex storytelling for Western cartoons.
I... kinda gotta agree.
It's a trainwreck, but at least it's an ambitious and somewhat enjoyable trainwreck.
Still want an alternative ending movie though.
Kill her off? Yeah that was a good decision but too slow on the draw. Should've been done sometime around season 3.
Heckapoo crushed on adult Marco, not the Marco who when returned to nominal time lost all his maturity he gained in her dimension.
Season 1 had that internet charm
Ludo in the Wild was such an unconventional and amazing opening to season 2, it made me fall in love with the show. Then season 3 happened.
Apart from being grown, I feel Neverzone Marco was actually a bit less mature; he was ready to stay and just adventure around before Star come to get him.
And Hekapoo obviously still feels a lot of affection for him afterwards.
She doesn't want to bang teenage Marco, but she does care about him.
She didn't kill Seth but key individualsfrom his army to stop him completely. Globgor himself states that once the septarians are stopped he can convince the other monsters to bend the knee, all they ask for is Eclipsa assuring Mewni won't attack by abdicating.
Read the book.
And user is right. Meteora had already ceased her anger when Moon shot. Eclipsa had calmed her down... I'm rewatching the episode now.
>Meteora is about to finish Moon off
>Eclipsa interrupts with a lovely speech
>"Meteora come back to me"
>Meteora turns her magic down and doesn't attack Moon anymore.
>"I... I..."
>Moon shoots magic rays through her hands and aims to Meteora's back.
Yep, I remembered it differently but Moon is the one who fucked things up here.
>what could have been
Manly cartoons: awesome, but don't exist.
Brehs I forgot how fucking huge Marco got when Chaded-out. And H-Poo was so tiny...
adult marco is essentially just kid face marco with a grown man's body attached to his head. Maybe they were doing it so people would easily recognize him when they did the jokey 16 years later cut? I feel like they could have accomplished the same thing by virtue of the fact that he was using his hoodie as a cape still.
They should have done something like this pic, kids don't keep their soft features once they mature.
>all they ask for is Eclipsa assuring Mewni won't attack by abdicating.
How does that in any way ensure peace?
It leaves her husband and fucking Mina in charge.
If it was about peace she should have used her authority as Queen, not leave without telling anyone and leaving a power vacuum.
>And user is right. Meteora had already ceased her anger when Moon shot.
Maybe Moon couldn't tell from being bashed into the dirt after the last time Eclipsa tried talking Meteora down.
So I'm watching Star vs for the first time, wanted to wait until the run was over. I've heard truckloads of opinions, mostly from Yea Forums but elsewhere too, that S1&2 + battle for mewni is the duration of the "good" show.
I finished battle for mewni two days ago and have been sitting for a bit.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the show so far. Not overly fond of the lolrandumb moments, but there has been enough actually good humor, character development, and engaging plot that I want to know where the show goes. I like Star & Marco, both as individual characters and as a couple (which has pretty clearly begun setup at this point in the show), though I'm not a huge shipper. Not a big Jackie & Janna fan, though I do love Hekapoo and would love to see more of her. I'd really like to get to know Eclipsa since my exposure to her has only been the few conversations with Moon; Eclipsa seems likes a really interesting character as well.
I want to continue watching, but threads like this one are why I've stopped for a few days. It seems like the sour taste about this show started in s3 and developed into outright disgust by s4. I don't mind how the show is currently sitting after battle for mewni; Eclipsa seems like the only major dangling thread.
Is it worth it to continue watching?
Should’ve ended before Battle of Mewni bro, that’s where the seeds of season 3/4 are sown.
Monsters were afraid of magic (and they have good motives) so they needed Eclipsa, the most powerful Butterfly away from the wand.
Instead of killing all magic like Star did, she chose abdication hoping this was for the best (as she thought her spells only solved selfish purposes anyway)
Also, Shastacan was not her husband after that. Omnitraxus refers at him as "your ex-husband"
The MHC were the ones who called him over to lie about Festivia's origins.
>Monsters were afraid of magic (and they have good motives) so they needed Eclipsa, the most powerful Butterfly away from the wand.
And, you know, an army of unbeatable murderhobos coming to murder them.
There is no way to spin this into not being an absolutely retarded move.
I want to fuck that monster
The mothers/daughters reunion was kino.
>There is no way to spin this into not being an absolutely retarded move.
Because it's not a "move".
It's a girl running off with her lover.
Eclipsa is the polar opposite of Moon. the latter will do everything it takes to protect her kingdom, even if it means pulling shady shit like working with Mina or going behind her daughter's back.
Eclipsa will drop everything for her loved ones, including giving up the throne, risk loosing a monster on Mewi or starting shit with the MHC.
You could argue who's the better person, but Moon is the better Queen.
I prefer neverzone Marco's attitude towards adventuring over normal Marco torturing himself over Star.
Facial hair goes a long way. Also, Marco is a pretty boy and they tend to hold their boyish looks until middle age.
Except Moon thinks she is acting for her kingdom when, in fact, she is as selfish as Eclipsa.
It's an excuse for her to find her actions understandable.
Anyway, now that democracy is the new system things will get better.
>What went right?
Not the ending
Push to the end so you may have a greater appreciation for seasons 1 & 2.
Do you think the ancestors in the spirit realm were pissed at altering the butterfly line?
>Except Moon thinks she is acting for her kingdom when, in fact, she is as selfish as Eclipsa.
Even if that was true she'd still be a better ruler.
My vote goes to either River and Globgor.
Fuck selfish queens, what Mewni needs are loyal bros.
>Both protected their people actively putting their lives in the line.
>Never backstabed or betrayed their allies.
>They believe in justice and fairness.
>Don't run away from problems but face them.
>They are good dealing with people and get popular easily.
>Will do whatever it takes for their loves ones, even if that means sacrifizing themselves.
>Their hands are soaked in blood, yet they don't hate the enemy entirely and learn to see the good on other clans.
Kings over queens.
>Never backstabed or betrayed their allies.
Except Septararians, apparently.
>Don't run away from problems but face them.
Literally the first thing Globgor did was running away.
Seth was Globgor's rival, not his ally. They lead different armies.
Also, he faced the problem by asking to be crystalized so his family wouldn't be mistreated.
Even in his first appearance he asks Eclipsa to face reality and wait until mewmans are ready to accept them.
If Star Vs has ONE redeeming quality it's that it's three dads are prime time top tier husbandos and everything little bitch boy betas should aspire to
And they are true friendship goals
They are too good for this show... and its world.
Gif related hit me harder than concrete. That and the chicken line.
Based patriarchy, Thanks Rian I mean Nefcy
CUUUUTE!!
It's unforgivable how a fanartist can make better comics of SVTFOE than Nefcy.
So was the grandma/grandaughter one.
I loved Divide/Conquer.
Gemini being built to look Meteora's old baby toy hit me harder than I imagined.
Nice touch, Nefcy
How do these colors look?
I did too. Eclipsa seemingly killing Meteora shows just how much wasted potential she had. If they had the balls to have her actually off her own daughter it would really have made for an interesting season 4.
I think the red should stop at his belt. His legs could be a earth tone or dark jean blue.
Looks great! Fantastic coloring
Awesome work dude
In addition, the red on his legs seem like skinless muscles. It was my first impression.
>-Butterfly peasant reveal was kind of stupid and pointless
This reminded me so much of The Last Jedi. Rey's parents turning out to be complete nobodies and Kylo/Eclipsa not really being the antagonists we thought they were both had that same lamebrain "subversiveness" to them.
Because he has no true obligation let alone role in their society aside from being Star's friend. What did you guys even expect?
NOTHING FUCK NEFCY AND COTUNGO FOR BRAINWASHING OUR KIDS INTO THINKING NIGGERS AND SPICS ARE HUMAN BEINGS OR THAT WIMMIN CAN BE STRONG HEROES AND IT'S NORMAL FOR THEM TO WANT TO KISS OTHER GIRLS HEIL DRUMPF
With Marco, you can never go wrong with red. Looking solid
I agree with this user about the legs. The actual armor parts can stay the same color but below the waistline should maybe be a different color. I'm not sure if it's possible to use his character models' pants color because then the very nice line work you did for the red parts of the leg would be hard to see. A nice detail to add though would maybe use his shoe color for the dark green accent on his feet.
I fucking adore the little gold accent on his chin though that matches his sword's tsuba though.
Based
Or the blue from his cape
With dimensional scissors, I say one can be apart of any society.
Ok Rick
The part you're not seeing is the pack of laser puppies just out of shot whining because it's almost time for walkies and then an afternoon nap.
>Because he has no true obligation let alone role in their society aside from being Star's friend.
>aside from being Star's friend.
It's like you're not getting it on purpose and refusing to accept that this is all it takes for Marco. His entire family is like that.
But is that good enough? Remember that 'privilege' comment Sabrina said about Tom?
Tom shouldn't have existed past season 2
They should have resolved his shit mid season 3 and have him continue to be a friend like they did in season 4.
I think the darker pants worked pretty well
Fucking magnificent dude
>Pants color is on point
>he actually did the little shoe color accent.
Don't think I didn't notice that eye work you did nigga. Outstanding work.
Thanks! I'll add a few more final touches then upload a higher res image
I never watched this cartoon, but it looks like it was carried entirely by the fact the protag is a beautiful blonde white girl who is all smiles and carries a Sailor Moon scepter. I mean, I can't blame you for being led by your dick and Sailor Moon imagery.
Would this cartoon have been as popular if this character were a brown girl with short black hair and didn't carry a Sailor Moon scepter?
Isn't that just owl house
>Posts all that bullshit
>Uses a fuck off 5000x8000 resolution pic
Me thinks thou doth protest too much.
get a better computer
I'm hearing nothing wrong here.
= goofus
= gallant
...And THICC!
Fucks sakes mate how do you go from this to that. I gotta learn how to draw at some point, shit's like magic.
Unironically, the political aspect of the series. It was a fairly balanced way to approach the race issue without pointing anyone. But it didn't stop in "racism bad" they actually showed the causes and the effects when the issue is handled the wrong way despite the best intentions. Also, how the people can be happy in ignorance with just bread and circuses without anything changing and actually opposed to changes for the better or justice. Also how corrupt the elites could be and the distance they go to keep the power just for the sake of power. The queens were mostly puppets and they really don't do much. Yes it could be boring, but it's more realistic than it seems
>Would this cartoon have been as popular if this character were a brown girl with short black hair
you mean meat blanket
user come on where's my source
Fuck off back to R3ddit you stupid niggerfaggot poltard.
Just look up svtfoe boruu and type in higgs
This was fun, thanks guys
I wish you luck user, just make sure that you practice effectively and not just mindlessly grind
I still miss her, her design was the main reason I picked this show up
Mina beats her by a country mile she is legitimately fucked over by this family and they don't give a shit
Remember when the show was about shit like breaking a opossum statue
>I didn't realize how lonely I was until I saw some of the starco stuff.
oof
Hitting uncomfortably close with that
110% based.
Man this is based AF
>there exists anime AU
>Bad boy AU.
>reversed gender AU
>But no metal gear AU
Reality is shit.
We need more of her
I will never forget her
I feel like my drawing skills have hit a plateau what do you do for practice, also based pic user
i absolutely love this show yeah its not perfect but its way better than the dumpster fire that is Steven universe
Usually fanart or stuff like this is my main practice, though I occasionally do studies and things like that
Essentially I'll start something I want to do, and if I get stuck, pull up information such as references or even tutorials.
It's important to enjoy yourself and not let it become a chore
Also other artist's work are a good resource, you can learn a lot from looking at someone else's work and trying to apply principles of it to your own
All this awesome fanart is making me feel insecure.
200% based
one question though: didn't you say that you're moving his tacticool pouches specifically to where his hoodie pockets would be? Shouldn't they be red too, then?
I couldn't get used to digital drawing so you're not alone.
I think they are apart of the armor instead of the hoodie
I love how dads in this show are not dumb assholes or neglectful, they are really caring, loyal, responsible and top tier husbands.
All of them are great.
For all of the men-hating and misandry that the evil calarts onions shows are supposedly doing, the quality of father figures in those shows might be higher than ever.
Between Star, Steven Universe, Craig of the Creek and various others, most of the dads are all genuinely loving, respectful and respectable individuals.
I'm surprised how they are even shown to be in the right or being, at the very least, better than their wives when it comes to show growth or responsability
Episode very related, also River since Battle for Mewni and Marco being the voice of reason.
Yeah I probably should've tried it out but I think it's alright
We are getting a pretty great generation of cartoons with good father figures. As a dad this makes me happy.
