Reminder that Cap cucked the Steve Rogers who was still frozen and undiscovered in the timeline created when the gem was removed, and that Steve Rogers woke up to a world that never missed him because he had been replaced by our Cap, who then stole that timeline's shield or had one made to take it back home and give it to the guy who got beat up by Rumlow.

They had an adventure together.

You can even say it lead to T'Chaka giving america the vibranium needed to make the shield in the first place.

as for frozen cap'n yeah at some point there's two cap'ns future one living with peggy and future one doing the thing and eventually going back to the past to complete the loop.

user, it's an alternate timeline, the one where he lived with Peggy.
He can only return to his own unchanged timeline because he cannot change anything, he just creates alternate timelines that now continue with the effects of the changes that created it. An alternate timeline is where he lived a life with Peggy before he returned to his own as an old man. But once he leaves, unless he goes back and changes the event that created the divergence from his own timeline, it continues with the changes, it is distinct and not his own timeline where he met Sam and Bucky. Ancient one says so.
