The series peaked with 3 and 4, and slowly declined from there.

I’m not to broken up about seeing her dropped honestly. I was never to keen one her anyways, and I feel like she and Artemis would double up the snobby genius schtick to get really obnoxious, really quick.

Probably because he suddenly remembered Artemis is a little kid.
He teased it a lot, then probably got creeped out by the implications and created a whole other female character his own age.

Artemis is the kind of person who, when he’s not the one you’re rotting for, would very irritating to deal with or be around as well. There’s a reason besides greed that that Mafia boss in book three wanted no part of working with him.

Yeah aroundish. Again though, once you get past 20, or whatever the ages is for elves, maturity is a matter of personal growth rather than physical development.
