The TAS version of Alistair Smythe.

Comic version was just a generic evil scientist out for revenge for his generic evil scientist dad and having a petty tyrant workshop in his lab killing defenseless scientist he forced to work with him while they are chained to chairs.

TAS was much more sympathetic like BatTas Mr Freeze. His dad was a genuinely decent person who appeared to be killed while pressured into doing questioning stuff (capturing spider-man) in order to get funding to help Alistair with his disability by Osborn & secretly Kingpin behind him.
He works for Kingpin to get Revenge on Osborn, JJJ & Spider-Man who he feels caused the death of his dad.
The transformation into the Ultimate Slayer is eventually forced onto him (unlike the comics) when he tries to do the right thing and betray the Kingpin.
His father is revealed to be alive and so his quest for revenge is over but his dad is still in a coma and so he still is pushed to desperate criminal measures to save Spencer.

Probably the spectacular spider-man version of Flash he’s pretty much everything you want out of there relationship that you got in 40 years condensed into two seasons

Truth being spoken.

JM Dematteis' take on Spider-Man was top tier.

10/10. Better than original catwoman design.

RiD Grim being the legs for their combiner was a stroke of genius

The show also had the best take on the Savage Hulk, bar none.

Let's be honest though, anyone that was featured in EMH was the best version of that character.

If Mamoa doesn't yell outrageous in Aquaman 2 I swear to god...

Truth

Same with Black Cat, truly best girl and once I started reading comics after watching the show I wondered why she and Pete weren't together

Spider-Man TAS Hobgoblin was my favorite villain as a kid. There was a time I watched it solely for him to appear.

Attached: mfw-the-dog-takes-a-shit-in-the-living-room.png (838x644, 888K)

not my favorite villain, but i, too, enjoyed when he would make an appearance. mark hamill sold the character.

Attached: Best Carol.png (670x796, 97K)

Ults Tony is one of my favourites.

holy shit I didn't know Mark Hamill was his voice actor, I watched the dubbed version as a kid

The great thing about many of the animated series of the 90's were that the writers took genuine risks to develop the characters and stories. The stakes were fantastic, but all the characters were started with a foundation of a basic humanity and pushed towards some tragic means or even ends.

It didn't mean that villains didn't end up comically 2 dimensional, but it did mean that when the writers did like the characters, they were able to be very creative. They sure liked a lot of the characters.

is he made of ants or is he an ant??

I actually dig this costume more than her other one. Not the Captain Marvel costume because I liked that. I'm talking about her second Ms. Marvel costume, but this was a perfect Ms. Marvel costume design that should have been kept. Alot more appropiate

>origin's the same
>life is basically identical to any other standard version
>isn't a complete asshole or brooding manbaby
>actually provides to the community as Bruce Wayne
>has a ton of fun being Batman
>is a celebrity loved by everyone in Gotham and probably the world because
>you know he's fucking bitches every night

Prove me wrong

I don't disagree with you, but consider also this

Why would I want to? You're right.

Attached: IMG_20190702_092126.png (770x771, 460K)

also had the best version of Hank Pym.
him actually being a scientist and psychologist who actually wants to help people instead of just constantly punching bad guys like some little boy playing super hero was far more interesting

Bump

Attached: best diana.jpg (1080x1080, 146K)

I'm still sad they never learned each others identities by the end of the series.

She looked like a chihuahua. She's had functional claws and goggles in several other versions of her costume. The voice actress was pretty good though.

The Batman was pretty tops for most of the villians

Someone with taste I see

While I don’t disagree, you could have posted a better frame.

Ah, anons with good taste i see here

Yeah, lots of us have good taste, this shouldn’t be a surprise.
Those two don’t though.

But not by the look...

The show didn't sold me idea of guardians

Poison Ivy had a good take on The Batman, though she went vamp pretty quickly. If I were the writers, I'd include at least some reference to the fact that her inhibitions dropped when she took on plant powers.
Come to think of it, Poison Ivy has a pretty cosmic-horrory powerset. If she were a man, it would be pretty creepy.

All 3 of them

HE'S BACK BABY

Kingpin was pretty awesome too

No. She wasn't very likable and she looked like a rat.

I have a hard time believing a cartoon will be able to improve on comics Selina.

The crossover-verse has best Skeletor, best Mumm-Ra, and best Orko.

Attached: Skeletor and Mumm-Ra.jpg (1041x1600, 635K)

Comics Falcon was such a bland, non-personality character for years

Both

>anyone that was featured in EMH was the best version of that character.

it had the better versions of Luke Cage and Iron Fist in two episodes than the entirety of the Netflix shows put together.

Scott "Chad Thundercock" Summers

Spectacular Spider-Man Doc Ock is probably my favorite.

they should just give comic book Falcon Mackie's bro tier personality like they did with Iron Man

...

Disappointed in this thread.

They were there for just one episode and they weren't even the focus. But I do agree that while I liked them they really didn't have much going on for them and I thought Peter's voice being master Chief was all wrong.

Honestly not a lot of people know how to write the Guardians or even know what to do with them most of them other than "They're weird!"

Well, close

It clearly STATES here that Catwoman is a CAT. Not a rat, and certainly not a rat-dog. Post your preferred Catwoman if you can't see/read the difference. >:(

Attached: Anon, are you aware she's a cat.png (1334x1028, 540K)

But the best Arcee was in TFA

Wrong Janet, OP

Attached: MA.jpg (988x1500, 383K)

In terms of character design, I agree. She is my favorite Arcee
But let's be honest, she was a non-character. You could have replaced her with a non-sentient computer chip that had the codes to operate Omega Supreme, and the only difference made to the story would be that Ratchet would have no reason to be angsty over a a chip getting broken rather than a robot getting her mind wiped. Literally any Arcee at all has more personality and development than TFA Arcee

Beat me to it.
