>Anne befriends toad soldiers to gain respect in Wartwood, but must choose between her new respect and her frog family. >Toad Tower is attacked by a pair of horrifying herons.
This is great! Like both of these were amazing AND Sasha is a really interesting character. She's kind of a bitch but she legit cares about her friends a lot. I also liked the level of action in these episodes!
>manipulative cheerleader >genuinely cares about her friends even if she uses Anne Sorry, guys. I'm team Sasha now. I like bitch cheerleader characters with depth.
She did, but she actually seems to like them too. Being manipulative is just such a fundamental part of her personality that she can't stop doing it even with people she actually likes.
Christopher Rivera
Don't act surprised, faggot.
Anthony Howard
>people think sasha's a good friend you fools, that's what she wants you to think
It's obvious she cares about Marcy, but does she truly care about what Anne's been up to?
>in b4 MRAs autisticly screech about this ep
Zachary Cooper
Do you think the toads ever watched Sasha poop in her cell?
Caleb Hill
That's CHA more than anything.
David Miller
>The biggest plot twist of the show is Sasha is actually somewhat of a demigod who's been manipulating the shows audience the whole time That's some 4th dimensional chess right there
Carson Flores
Sasha seems so evil now, yikes. It's clear that Sasha saw Anne as a follower that was desperate for attention and to be accepted, so she used her skills to make Sasha as her lapdog to do bad things but at the same time likes her.
Since she's a good dog...
Henry Cooper
She said "friends" and "girls", so I'm pretty sure she does.
Nicholas Martinez
Wolves hunt with other wolves, but one needs to be the alpha
Who do you think Marcy's with, Salamanders/Newts or Sophont Insects
Charles Evans
What's the most intelligent insect we've seen so far? I doubt they even exist though it would be cool to see her live among the insects, like a kid raised by wolves kind of deal.
Sasha is very entertaining, so it sucks we won't get to see what Marcy is up to until next season.
I'm guessing she's surviving on her own since she's into archery and probably hunts. Unless they're going to introduce a third group of wandering nomads she got involved with.
Jaxon Collins
>straight up showed gore in a Disney animated series Not even meming, how the fuck did Matt get away with this?
What the fuck?!? I actually like the Chemistry between Sasha and the Toad dude way more than the Anne/Plantars family. The plantars have oft/used typical cartoon family chemistry, but Sasha is a smart and charismatic manipulative slut that ALSO has the brawns to get by and can ALSO emote actual care for others. And the Evil Toad dude is a hoarse and badass fellow that actually gets surprisingly down to earth and is willing to be a better person for the sake of his castle. Both are extremely interesting character archetypes that don't appear often.
Don't get me wrong, both episodes were fantastic, but now i'm more excited to see what happens with Sasha and Toad Kingdom than i am about the actual protagonists, and that is a situation i never saw myself getting into. These eps got me pretty damn invested and i'm hope future stuff can live up to this.
I liked these episodes a lot. But I feel bad for Anne even more for what she suffered with those toads and for being friends of that girl. I will need to rewatch the old episodes now knowing now how Sasha is.
Charles Collins
Marcy is the stoner?
Juan Scott
>Anne's gotten to the point of no just willingly eating bugs, but enjoying it Do you think when she gets back to the human world she's just gonna almost reflexively eat any random bug she comes across in a totally casual way and gross out everyone around her?
Interesting that the boarders on the opposite pair of board teams (Spears/Marusik, Strickland/Wolfhard) were directly involved in this ep (heck, Spears's outright credited as a 3rd boarder alongside Applegate and Curtis on Toad Tax)
She'll be in front of one of the other girls, or back on earth, and she'll casually snap a bug into her mouth the exact same way Sprig did in the first ep.
Honestly thought one of the herons would be gut punched & vomit during the fighting back scene. But nope, he dead.
Villains are always more entertaining than heroes. I think it's because good guys have to be portrayed in a way that vices like greed and pride are seen as flaws whereas a villain can just embrace that shit and give the audience a bit of vicariousness.
Is that your fetish, user?
Jonathan Sanchez
>Implying she won't be back >Implying we won't be finding more
N-no Though I can't lie, I'd definitely feel a little funny if some random girl I was talking to just saw a spider and shoved it into her mouth mid conversation
Elijah Reyes
>One episode and she's already second in command Is Sasha best girl? Sasha is best girl.
The blood in GF didn't even really look like blood, and could be handwaved away as tar or something.
There's no two around this though, that bird killed something and its remains are still in its beak
Camden Cox
That's what I'm thinking
Anne gets the easiest life among townspeople, Sasha managed to claw her way into the ranks of the thugs who extort the townspeople, and Marcy has gone full on wildman
Eli Gutierrez
Cute
Isaiah Wright
Kim and Ron are from the early 2000s, wouldn't her last name be Stoppable?
Jaxon King
Great pair of episodes. Seeing Sasha in action really puts what Anne said about friends in Best Fronds into perspective. I like that Sasha seems to actually care about the girls and is more than just a huge bitch like many initially thought. It's gonna be fun when she and Anne finally meet. Theyre gonna have to air out their dirty laundry and while it'll be sweet at first, I don't think that'll last long.
So here's the eps by board teams so far (admittedly less relevant since it's as script driven show that lets the boarders do some punch up rather than a full blown board driven show)
It's not the fact that they're villains that appeals to me. It's the fact that they're seemingly Lawful Neutral or at the very least grayer that other similar bad guys in this medium.
Dylan Gonzalez
Maybe? But star vs was a shitty show so who cares
Evan Gutierrez
I legit thought he was gonna die, I mean it makes sense why he wouldn't being the funny comic relief henchman, but still
>script driven show No wonder I like it so much! Not that board driven shows are inherently bad, just that SU and the rest left a vad taste in my mouth recently.
Brandon Ramirez
I thought for sure he was going to be locked out of the tower and picked apart off screen while he panics and screams.
Julian Powell
A war of amphibians with grade school children is upon us How bloody will it get
Jonathan Young
>All-American blonde cheerleader Or >Thai ladyboy Which would you pick?
Robert Gutierrez
I will echo the sentiments of others, these are absolutely the best episodes yet and some of the best kids’ TV I’ve seen in a while even
Grayson Smith
I love them both. shit, been awhile since loved characters without waifufagging
Nathan Morris
Sasha is alpha as fuck. She fought off vore birds. Every time Anne fights she get's her ass handed to her.
I still like Anne user, but her tard wrangle is a pretty cool character too.
Ayden Cooper
>Hitler Sasha meme when?
Nathan Lewis
>Marcy has gone full on wildman
>"Wally and Anne"[24] >Everyone calls Anne crazy when she claims to have seen the mythical Moss Man. I wonder if it'll turn out to be Marcy. And if they'll only reveal that to the audience.
Also, "Reunion" is scheduled for the 18th of July. Good god I hope we get a 2nd season and a proper 'getting home' finale.
>Marcy has gone almost completely feral after a month of living alone in the wild >Knows the taste of frog flesh at this point >When they all get together at last Anne has to do her best to prevent Marcy from eating Sprig
>sasha becomes 2nd in command of the toads >being in a position of power begins to cloud her morals and drive her away from her goal of saving the girls >becomes an antagonist that wants to stomp out the frogs
Tyler Collins
So third friend will probably be allied with the birds or a third species most likely fully aquatic.
Easton Nguyen
So is this show any good is it more sloppy garbage like most modern cartoons?
Nolan Reed
How many sasha episodes, and how many marcy?
Jack Russell
Im sure we gonna get a lot of Sasha art since she had a proper episode, sfw and nsfw
if we are going down the lines of amphibians, and if we have already seen frogs, toads, axolotls, and other salamanders, then I seriously hope to god that there are caecilian characters
I have ALWAYS wanted a cartoon to have caecilians in it and I can't think of a more perfect and incredibly timely circumstance for it to happen
>the actual protagonists You fool! Sasha is the actual protagonist, it all makes sense now. We have an Isekai setting that's entirely been slice of life following Anne, now we get a Sasha episode and we get some real action. Sasha is the adventurer, Anne is the townie. This is like if SU, GF or SVTFoE was told from the townies perspective. While we're watching Anne get into wacky SoL shit Sasha will be out fulfilling the prophecy. I bet once we get a Marcy episode it'll be full of lore. Anne = Slice of Life, Sasha = Adventure and Marcy = Lore.
It’s charming slice of life with occasional high stakes like tonight’s ep. there is a clear story about toxic friendships woven throughout.
Dylan Gomez
Just saying, it's kinda funny how Sasha rots in a cell for a month and still has better hair than Anne. What, did one of those toads have a dream of being a stylist?
That's actually a plothole. Does it really take them a whole month for them to collect taxes?
Jordan Scott
>betray This implies there was ever trust to b start. Grime doesn't trust Sasha and he isn't willing to gut her yet. As of now Grime still holds more power than she does but this is a clear case of raising your assassin. Grime has already given Sasha power and it's only a matter of time until he gives her enough to take him out. Sasha will lead the toad army before the series end.
Kevin Hall
Loved these three. Especially voldo
Joseph Powell
Anne has her own strenghts, but Sasha knows how everything works. Anne has a lot to learn, I love them, but Anne is the weakest one of the three, honestly seeing Sasha and I comprend Anne even more. We will have to wait and see Marcy for now. I'm worried now this becomes a fan-war Fa-Annes and Sasha fans.
>A script driven series like Amphibia has gotten more shit done and developed the characters more in 10 episodes than board driven series like Star and SU have done in over 26 >Also looks better with all the characters on model flow more naturally Wild innit? It's almost like projects need more than one team to create an overall enjoyable and well put together product.
Board driven shows tend to be wackier but yeah, scripts are better.
Adam Gutierrez
It'd be an interesting way to tell a story by splitting these three aspects between each girl. At this point I'm convinced each will have their own story arc, distinct from each other, before they reunite
Dominic Wood
I take it that they collect taxes from villagers every once a month
Camden Clark
This show just blew every other animated show on tv out of the water. Hope mao mao also does well
Sebastian Stewart
Being "wackier" does you no favors when you're trying to create a story that's meant to be taken at least somewhat seriously. Board driven shows have their place, but by no means should every series be one.
Kevin Ortiz
Get over it, Big Chief Firewater, we won.
Adam Baker
>Ann leads the frogs >Sasha leads the toads >Marcy leads the Salamanders >they show their people how to co-exist >Ann uses that family album with the Salamander Plantar as evidence >Amphibia lives in harmony as the girls return home I love it. I hope I'm right.
Aaron Jackson
Would be interesting to see where Marcy holds up when we finally see her, I don't think we'll see her this season since she doesn't have a voice actress yet and the "lost friend" that's supposedly going to appear in the finale has a connection to the toads
Tyler Harris
Anne will get sent back to Earth for a while but shit starts going down back in Amphibia between the frogs and toads so she decides to go back.
>Anne is already Sprigs adoptive big sister >When all the girls get together the young frog is gonna constantly be surrounded by three otherworldly female beings well into their teenage years When did you realize that Sprig is basically the shota protagonist of a monstergirl harem story?
Board-driven makes sense for zero-continuity wacky stuff where the moment-to-moment style and energy is very important. Unfortunately, Adventure Time set a bad example by being a board show that moldered into a poorly-fitting lore and plot direction and got imitated.
Kayden Kelly
I don't care for this subpar attempt at a heel turn, it's too damn obvious that she's a bitch and a liar.
>Amphibian turns out to be a long lost island on earth
Gavin Mitchell
People seem to forget that there are already toads and salamanders in Wartwood.
I think they did it well enough. She managed to ruse Yea Forums at least.
Caleb Martin
Sorry meant for
Isaiah Parker
Haven’t here been a bunch of eps with no Munsters? Or am I crazy
Jaxson Reed
And then this is script-driven because it follows in Gravity Falls’ footsteps by way of Matt working on that show and Hirsch feeling it was important for the type of story he was trying to tell, even though he had previously worked on the board-driven Flapjack and neither he nor his closest collaborators having ever written a script before until he brought on Josh Weinstein in S2. Basically, as much as every new cartoon with a mystery element gets accused of being a GF ripoff, we could use more that take direct influence from the production side of things
Mason Flores
Both true, but you can't deny both of those assets are what's keeping her alive right now
>Ego, Pride and Arrogance >Charisma >Manipulative >Commanding >Extreme hyper-competence >Aggressive, brutal combatant >"Cheerleeder" archetype >Popular in AND out of universe, INSTANTEOUSLY >Loyalty
I have a character like this, and so far Sasha seems to be the closest to fully encompassing nearly all aspects of that character of mine.
Everything about this episode was perfect. The fact that she was still full of confidence with control and influence WHILE LOCKED UP AS A PRISONER, and quickly and effortlessly becomes lieutenant by the end of the episode makes it even better.
Jose King
right as Prison Break ends you can hear a toad announce that Bog has come back from Wartwood
Nicholas Campbell
>Turns out when Anne opened the box, she unleashed a wave of magic that devastated the Earth and led humanity into extinction and the trio were actually sent to a post-apocalyptic Earth where Amphibians have evolved into a sentient species and other insects and animals have mutated into giant carnivorous creatures
Jayden Bell
I think he means that earlier headcanon that Sasha was russian or some shit
Xavier Richardson
>People seem to forget that there are already toads and salamanders in Wartwood. Gotcha, Bitch! They're revealed to be abused minorities in later seasons! Frogs living in Toadland or Salamanderopolis are also abused! Everyone, both Majority and Minority, has to learn to not be bigots!
Landon Parker
Sasha is more like a Dark Naruto using Talk no Jutsu for manipulation.
Jason Walker
Agreed that it was perfect. What did you all think of Sasha and grimes voice
Aiden Gray
>too damn obvious that she's a bitch and a liar. Are you retarded? It's not obvious, it's out right shown when Sasha coach's Grime in the art of manipulation. Grime made her his second because he wants to use her, not because trusts her, and she only accepted because her only other choice was living as a vagabond in a world full of man-eating monsters.
Joseph Perry
>dude I'm not in love with my childhood friend >psyche! turns out I am! lmao predictable, also they fought a monster in the same episode. fucking hell. if the show wants to peddle lore maybe it shouldn't make eveyrthing so easy to figure out.
Julian Lopez
i didnt know about these things until now but i love them, thanks for introducing me user
Evan Hill
Why do you type like this?
Lincoln Peterson
What are you even talking about right now? Childhood friend?
Eli Wilson
I ship Sasha and Grimes
Ryan Wright
So near the end of the series Anne's not gonna want to leave, is she? For that matter how long are they gonna be in Amphibia before the end? She's already been there a month and I could easily see her being there for a year or even a few years when we finally get to the last season.
But he confessed to that toad lady, Sasha's manipulative but she's no homewrecker
Luis Wood
maybe their job is solely to collect taxes and they dont know about her, they spend the majority of their time away from the tower travelling to and from towns
Jaxon Fisher
It was really touching that she is now the hero of Wartwood. It makes all the previous episodes click
Camden Clark
Anne is with the frogs, Sasha is with the toads, and gonna guess Marcy is with the newts
Carson James
Depends on her home life. If she has a shit family, why go back? If they're just as good as the Plantars? Now that's a conundrum. Ann is, by the creator's design, extreamly selfish. The parents that raised her to be like that might not be ones she wants to go back to though.
Sasha is exactly the type a girl that would steal a man from another. How much you wanna bet she's cucked Anne a least once >When a friend likes your boyfriend, you give him to her
Ryder Ross
But she does constantly mention how much she misses her old family and is always saddened whenever remembering them, so it's probably not a "I want to stay here, fuck that place" thing.
Adam Flores
>Marcy She didn't actually teleport with them. She's been in her house drinking 40's
be more specific, I'm listening with my tablet pen in hand
Colton Cox
Sprig and Maddie, drinking 40's
Elijah Morgan
>"just as I feared!" *cue dramatic music* yes he does know, he's just not telling. he's another Stan and it's already been a month in universe and it's bullshit.
He's shown plenty of courage and showed Grime that he wasn't complimented for nothing. It's nice to see Grime ditching his "fight you useless fools" leadership style. He'll have not just the obedience of his subjects but their respect too. Makes him far less cliched as far as cartoon villains go.
Julian Price
>The threads become popular when Sasha appears
Sasha should replace Anne
Levi Mitchell
if any cartoon ever deserved to be called a GF rip-off, it's Amphibia.
Isaiah Davis
He was the guy that Sasha talked into quitting and the massive fuck up that got the herons to attack the castle
I was kind of shocked when yesterday’s thread got to bump limit on a single episode without any new lore but yeah, it seems like things have really picked up steam
Thomas Jackson
Sasha should also have access to a time machine.
Andrew Ross
I'd say she's the bard, the one that showers Sasha and Anne of praises to boost their morale and enable the worse ideas the group can get.
Lucas Brooks
GF wasn't really original either. It was only incest fetish bait
Adrian Campbell
oh, in that case NO he is to pure
Andrew Peterson
Sasha with a shotgun
Brody Watson
So many posts are coming in. Looks like the show should have been Sasha and the toads conquering the land.
>canon lesbian lolicon Yeah, that will fill up the board overnight.
Kevin Thompson
Do it. Also, explain?
Joshua Price
>they're both disney cartoons >they both have a plot centered around a mcguffin >there's a character that knows something but won't tell anyone Sprigs and Polly are Dipper and Mabel fuck off.
Adam Jackson
What lore? what fucking lore? the only mystery in the show is about the box and where's the other girl. Most of what the show presents is a little bit of world building with creatures and such that help the storytelling, you starving autistic snail
David Baker
The taxes were said to be collected yearly. Anyway, the reason the soldiers were is Wartwood is because not all of the tax money made it to the tower.
Mason Reed
>Gravity Falls trappings I haven't seen any incest bait yet
Jaxon Howard
Currently? I think so. In terms of popularity, I think the only other show giving Amphibia a run for its money might be Mao Mao. Those threads look pretty active.
Brayden Diaz
You don't understand, user. This show has lore. That's ripping off Gravity Falls straight up - the first cartoon that has ever done such a thing.
Brody Peterson
>they're both disney cartoons OH SHIT, AMPHIBIA RIPPED OFF WOY
Adam Price
Being popular and charismatic is just apart of Sasha's character. If she failed to influence the audience the same way she influences the characters around her, then her character would fall apart.
Justin Anderson
>explain Sometimes anons make charts like these for shows they give a shit about. Last time we did one for Samurai Jack. Its been getting rarer and rarer to do that since networks dump shows all in a few days and kill any gradual hype and episode to episode group engagement, but amphibia seems to be a welcome exception.
Kinda want to draw Sasha licking Anne's feet but I'm sleepy
Camden Davis
id be a bitch too if someone locked me in a dungeon for no reason.
Leo Long
>selfish teenage lead Mabel isn't THE main character, but I feel sidekick is close enough. Man, Alex Hirsh must really hate his sister if THAT is how he portrayed her.
>they're both disney cartoons So, by that logic, every Disney cartoon post-Gravity Falls is a ripoff then?
Charles Powell
we need to make one of these then LWA wasn't good enough to get that hype chart though
Thomas Kelly
>MC lives in a shitty house with a wacky kid and old asshole >fights monsters in every episode >the townspeople are all weirdos yeaaaah, nothing like gravity falls.
Asher Robinson
Boy I should really finish watching Little Witch Academia shouldn't I.
amphibia/mao mao is probably close, but the show also isn't getting back too back episodes so amphibia gets more discussion do too the episodes not being dumped netflix style.
the finale might be messy but I really liked that SJ season
Angel Bennett
I found it weird that despite all the things the show allows itself to show, Anne getting her arm broken was done offscreen without sound. Even a cartoony "splash" would have done it, nearly sounded like an error
It's fun to watch episodes live with Yea Forums. Unfortunately that's becoming less and less common.
Lucas Robinson
So which of the girls will be revealed as bisexual in the series finale? Come one, you know they'll do this or maybe Hop Pop hooks up with the Axolotl shopkeeper
David Howard
>Amphibia's creator worked in gravity falls >"why does his new show feel like gravity falls" makes you think
Charles Lee
There's nothing to argue
>they both have a plot centered around a mcguffin No it isn't. Anne doesn't even give a shit about the box like Dipper did about the Journal, and only keeps it around it "might" be useful, keyword being might >there's a character that knows something but won't tell anyone And? Outside of that Hop Pop and Stan couldn't be more different.
>Sprigs and Polly are Dipper and Mabel fuck off. I don't even need to explain why this is retarded
Parker Thomas
Perhaps Marcy? Maybe she has a crush on Sasha and Sasha takes advantage of that.
Juan Anderson
not everybody is a doormat that just become the first show they worked on
Asher Hernandez
>Amphibia is unoriginal garbage you said it,
Carson Russell
What IS she?
Anthony Foster
It doesn't feel like Gravity Falls though you knob
Colton Ramirez
Ah, it all makes sense now. GFfags are salty their show is dead and the real talent behind the it has moved on to make something better. It really explains all the salt. Consider my almonds activated.
Jason White
Sasha's gonna be the final boss of this show, isn't she?
Yup, I can see it already. It's gonna be a nasty blast.
Ethan Ward
>"It's just like Gravity Falls! It does this thing!" >Most cartoons have already done that thing. >"So you ADMIT Amphibia is a ripoff!"
Talk about goalpost moving. Might as well call media itself unoriginal.
Anthony Myers
Amphibia has it's very own Barneyfag
David Murphy
A local drunk who doesn't unpaid debts. He's not a total bum, then.
Angel Morgan
nobody gives a shit about GF it's the owl house fag trying to pull a "huntechad" and use a third party show to defend in threads he hates to create this toxic tribal mentality he can use there to be a fake mods in "his" generals.
Connor James
A Wally episode is already confirmed. Should be fun.
>OHfags in damage control This actually makes sense. When Owl House starts and it's threads turn to shit they'll cry about how they were supposed to be the next GF/SVToE
Cooper Hughes
>Amphibia being well-received on Yea Forums is already making certain posters (probably fans of other shows) salty. Delicious.
Nolan Perry
I honestly want more Sasha episodes, I'm not feeling anne anymore, are we getting more sasha episodes in the future?
Ethan Miller
>Sasha tries to talk Anne into going with her >Anne finally realizes she's been manipulating her and tells her off >Sasha feels genuine heartbreak, and anger towards Anne, now wanting to ruin the life she made in Amphibia
Christopher Watson
>box is the whole reason she's in the frog world >"she doesn't care about the box" ok
>Outside of that Hop Pop and Stan couldn't be more different. ignoring the fact that in both cases, those reveals are important to the plot, that's still one similarity too many.
Sprigs and Polly are siblings, they both live with a curmudgeon, one of them is a curious and awkward older brother and the other is a zany unpredictable younger sister, sounds like the Pines.
Tyler Johnson
Sashafag tears are inevitable. It'll be glorious.
Aaron Hill
You never cared about Anne to begin with you traitorous swine
If Owl House fails, they'll shitpost in here in bitter anger. And if Owl House is a success, they'll shitpost in here making fun of everyone. It's gonna be a lose-lose situation with that show. We might have our own MHA vs. Black Clover autism on our hands.
Nicholas Ortiz
Why is it that people are always drawn to side characters more than main characters? You'd think someone would make a main character that's the most interesting character for once.
Carter James
>OH NO NO NO OWL CHADS HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO US
Levi Thomas
>show about two warring factions in a swamp >biological warfare is never mentioned lame.
Christian Bell
your double dubs are probably true
Ryder Sanchez
Because you lose broad appeal. If a characters likeable, if boring, more people will like them than if they were likeable in a very specific kind of way but alienating to everyone who doesnt like that.
Leo Martinez
The season finale will probably include her based on the premise
Evan Ortiz
I can't wait for the "SASHA DINDU NUFFIN" posts in the future and Sashafags to become the worst fans.
Xavier Rogers
>criticising Amphibia's flaws make you a OHfag
Cooper Barnes
>Polly >zany unpredictable Have you actually watched this show?
Logan Cook
Im feeling Anne more than ever, also look at the shit that broke her arm
How long before Sasha turns all the toads against Grime?
Justin Baker
>Amphibia was the underdog show nobody gave a shit about as all the attention went to the Bowel House >a year later and OH only just unfucked its production long enough to make a shitty trailer that everyone forgot, and Amphibikino is skyrocketing in popularity as the superior humble and good show
No, it makes you a GFfag too. Them combined with Owl House fans seem to have a hobby putting down this show.
Jason Jones
>I'm allowed to cry about whatever I want!
Nolan Johnson
Yeah, I'm surprised they went through with something like that. Sure they cut away, but it still broke her arm.
Juan Anderson
Is it just me or did the tax episodes feel "darker" than the others? The theme song is skipped, the weather turns from sunny to stormy, and Anne gets her ass kicked.
Nicholas Rogers
What is Owl House even about? Like a witch, or something? I know there was some loli controversy a while ago, and didn't one of the guys on the team get fired for fighting someone?
Parker Fisher
How will GravityFailsfags ever recover?
Brody Foster
Is it wrong that I want Sasha to slay Anne to pretend to be her, while HP, Polly and Sprig don't know?
Lucas Cruz
I honestly love how genuinely kind and good she is. Sure, she landed in the best scenario of the three, but I guarantee that Sasha wouldn't be getting along as well in Wartwood as Anne is. You know what Anne is? Anne is pure of heart. Anne is a fucking paladin.
They'll only stop recovering if this show gets a 3rd season.
Xavier Garcia
It's about a young girl having a sexual awakening from meeting a Ryoko rip-off
Jeremiah Hernandez
and Sasha is a rogue, she also landed in the best place possible for her
Carter Roberts
>criticising what criticism, you came there to fling name and order the mods to send something you dislike to trash with the other things you namedropped
Mason Perry
I'm pretty sure the them song being skipped was the uploader of the MEGA.
Landon Cruz
>"assassinating your critics? I love it!" I don't think you watch the show. do not reply.
Girl goes through portal and ends up in fantasy land. She rooms with a witch and goes to magic school
Not the craziest premise ever but to be honest Amphibia's didnt sound like much either
Mason Gonzalez
>"Reunion" >"During a banquet hosted by the toads, Anne is reunited with a friend from home" Sasha and the toads are going to pull a red wedding on Wartwood aren't they
Robert Green
I think they skipped the intro to save on time
Camden Anderson
>Character makes a clever turn of phrase >omg she's so zany and unpredictable Oh. You have autism.
Nathaniel Allen
Polly has been consistently characterized as a character who loves violence. I don't think you watch the show. Get a hobby, mate.
Elijah Cox
I'll drop this show if something happens to Anne.
Colton Turner
To be fair Stephen Root is a versatile VA.
Ethan Howard
>I'm not emulating hunterfag, it's total coincidence i'm suddenly using his pictures from Yea Forums!
Parker Smith
Gravity Falls did the same thing though with the plot important episodes
Ethan Hernandez
Haha should I write Lewds for this show?
Xavier Brooks
No, it skipped the intro everywhere
t. watched it on demand
Austin Clark
I mean, he did fuck up once but he did said that he fucked, he didn't this time so I think it isn't the MEGA guy editing it in
Ian Watson
I was hoping the toad would crush Anne's head and we'd see the Plantars get coered in brain matter and then cut to Sasha and the story would be about her learning that her friends are dead, Marcy would have been eaten by a monster and Sasha would find her bones in shit
Connor White
We have been waiting for a "Anne gets her period in frogland and Plantar family freaks out" fic for a while.
I just don't have a lot of faith in Owl House based on what we know about Cotugno and her shenanigans. She's the showrunner on Owl House, right? That doesn't fill me with confidence.
I had absolutely no idea what to think of Amphibia going into it because I had literally never heard of the guy running it before. It was only later that I learned he worked on Gravity Falls. And I could never have imagined the show would be THIS good. Like, this is one of the best cartoons I've seen in years.
isekai (as in, clone of the show with isekai in its name that started teh fad) MC are dead in the real world, it's part of the trope. they aren't "stuck there to return", they are "reincarnated with extra knowledge to save and conquer those savages"
What if Sasha got her period? Would the toads think she's badass because her body bleeds on purpose?
Wyatt Thompson
Sasha is the true God, Anne was a scam this whole time
Carson Scott
Yeah that’s the vibe I’m getting. Owl house fans and mao mao acolytes on suicide watch
Eli Allen
I think it's just bruised real bad. Otherwise she'd lose a few valuable weeks recovering. Then again, the toad tower got wrecked too so they have a setback of their own.
Ayden Bennett
no. "isekai shows" have nothing to do with the definition of the word "isekai", it comes from a show that had "isekai" in its title, and they copy it plot element by plot element. "isekai shows" have a dead MC, it's mandatory. shows about dimension travels arent' "isekai show" even though the meaning of isekai could apply. It's like those retards that keep memeing "good animation is sakuga", they see a japanese words and feel savant by yapping it to the plebe, but it doesn't mean that at all.
Dylan White
I agree with you on some points user.
But sprig is nothing like dipper and Polly ain’t nothing like Mabel.
Nathan Long
>You're walking around with a bleeding wound? That's hardcore And Sasha's plan to overthrow Grimes comes closer, one bloody step at a time
Camden Turner
I read a lot of Isekai and I cant believe I forgot how many trucks, overwork and lightning isekaied people.
>she's the showrunner on Owl House, isn't she? no, just one of several directors if I remember correctly. Owl House is Dana's show, and don't you forget it.
Isekai Quartet is a crossover show about four Isekai MCs getting along, and two of them were transported to another world. Japan disagrees with you here user. It literally means "born again in another world," but it can be metaphorical too. Ann is being "born again," as a selfless person with the help of her frogmly.
Kayden Long
This ironically sounds like a rip off on amphibia
Ian Reyes
The cover image of Strange Dawn but with Amphibia characters
Isekai is the biggest genre in Japan right now. It, like Magical Girls before it, will be westernized for our snot-nosed brats and depressed 27 year-olds.
Aiden Barnes
you know a trope has been overused when even Japanese people are fed up with it and make jokes about it in their own products.
Chase Ward
Reminder that each time you fap to Anne, you are also indirectly fapping to Matt's grandmother whom Anne was based on. Meanwhile, Sasha is her own character which makes her safer to fap to
>no Sasha/Anne/Marcy Shit poll Sasha would be the domn with Marcy and Anne as her subs
Joseph Gutierrez
What the fuck is this?
Anthony Rodriguez
cotugnos is a loud invasive bitch that can be considered the director of the shows she works with because she ends up in teams with no spine enough to tell her ideas sucks even when you are supposedly making the show about the story of your own life. She'll take over the owl house or get fired, there's no in-between with her.
Dylan Cox
i'll fap to whomever's grandmother i please
Adrian Long
>not wanting 120 year old Thai GILF pussy What are you, gay?
They'll bed wrestle in the Pantars basement while the whole family listens through the floor. Just the Plantars sitting on their couch in an awkward silence that's only broken by the occasional loud groan until Hop Pop decides to send Polly and Sprig to their rooms to protect their innocent minds.
Jackson Reed
>Anne can be pushy, but means well. >Sasha is manipulative, but still cares about her friends. >Marcy is the stone cold bitch.
I'm not sure what I want more: for Sasha to go mad with power and be the show's final villain, or for Marcy to be even more evil than Sasha and force her and Anne to team up to stop her and save Amphibia.
Jason Lee
Maybe Bees?
Ian Evans
So my fellow brophibians, are you a F-Anne or Sash-Chad?
I would guess humans are much stronger than amphibians for their size. Maybe it has lighter gravity or something.
Of course it's just a cartoon, so their noodle physique doesn't really mean anything.
Bentley Sanders
I don't think toon physics will apply to the more dramatic fights. The girls are definitely super-powered.
Aaron Bailey
>Sasha is a manipulative cunt but genuinely cares about her friends
Plot twist: Marcy is actually the evil one
Jaxon Ramirez
Maybe none of them are evil, they are just kids.
Charles Russell
yeah, I'm glad they went this route, they are all flawed but still care about each other.
Jaxon Edwards
yea but they could only do that after the show got popular, when it was new they could not even include spin the bottle reference
Landon Williams
Alright, this ep sold me. It might just end up being good.
Logan Bennett
So sasha values marcy and wants to find her more and doesn't even mention anne, but we don't even know were marcy is atall.
Jacob Clark
she only cares about marcy
Ryan Kelly
The says she plans to rescue "girls" looking at their photo. So she does remember Anne exists.
I think Marci is on island on the south-western corner of the world, there's something that looks like a hut and a campfire there if you look at the opening.
Juan Turner
Hopefully we'll get some suggestive images of Sasha in her next episode
