Hand drawn will, under most circumstances, usually always be considered a cartoon and classified under the board classifications as a cartoon, regardless of media. Tier-2 is only cartoon in the sense of its stylistic approach, and not the way in which it was produced, meaning for it to be classified as a cartoon it must also be in traditional media that is used for cartoons.

So if a video game was hand drawn in animation but done so photorealistically to the point where no one in the public would call it a cartoon, would you allow that for Yea Forums?

I don't believe that would be a cartoon because there is no longer an element of artistic abstraction of form, but if it had to be purely for the sake of argument, yes.
