I think people overhype Doomguys/Slayer powerlevel too much. He wouldn't kill Doomsday "with his pinky" but he could still take him on.

He's essentially a rage machine with a hatred on anything evil or stupid enough that would do something that would potentially harm others. He's been blessed by higher beings great power to use it on those who deserve it. Despite what people think he doesn't blindly hate any/all demons but rather circumstance just happens where they're number one on his shit list but won't kill innocent demons (rare but they exist) and has gone his way to kill really horrible human beings. He is fueled by violence and gets health the more he kills.

He's a mix of Ghost Rider and Hulk essentially (but he's not quite Hulk tier).

The Titan, one of Hell's champions, was a vast kilometre-sized thing whose constitutes an entire level in and of itself. You can see the bones of much larger things here and there in the 'ground' below the proper levels. And in Eternal, Hell starts coring planet's with hellish power and is seemingly waging war on all reality.

This is not even bringing up that id/Bethesda have canonized every single WAD ever made.

The entire point of Doomslayer IS that he IS Doomsday.
Since he can't actually be beat, he will eventually return and win.

Demons in Doom work differently from traditional demons. They're essentially more akin to an alien race that survive by converting others to be mindless killing drones. They're very powerful and have conquered universes but their threat comes more from the fact that they function more like a disease, in which Doomguy happens to be immune.

Anyone who is strong enough to not be turned into a demon beat the hardest part really, but their numbers and firepower are still pretty large. Hal with his willpower is probably the biggest counter against them aside from Doomguy.

People seem to misunderstand what exactly makes Doomy powerful. He's not defined by his strength or speed but rather his endurance. Demons in his world aren't that strong in fact one marine can take an imp. What makes Demons in the Doomverse crazy powerful is they essentially function like a virus or a cancer, where the hellscape is constantly expanding in the universe and keeps transforming creatures be it human or alien as a mindless killing drone. Demons aren't scared of him because he can kill one demon. They are scared of him because he can kill 100,000 while still running faster then Usain Bolt and not get hungry, sleepy or tired.

That said, if he does fight someone of greater power then it could lead to a "Unstoppable Force vs. Immovable Object" scenario which is exactly his problem in his world. You see even though Doomy has stayed in hell itself for who knows how long, he never has gotten anywhere closer in totally stopping it. That's because as he keeps killing demons, they reproduce back their losses. Doomy doesn't so much defeat demons as much as stop them and create stagnation.

He's very powerful and can beat certain cosmic threats but there's a limit to what he can achieve even if his blind rage won't ever make him stop.
