I have never watched any of these live action remakes out of principle, and have no plans to anytime soon. Just the same as I haven't seen any of the ghostbusters reboots, horror character reboots (Rob Zombie's Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St w/o Englund, etc.), or the new Twilight Zone. All of these are only supported by the IP they hold in front of them, none of them would have any merits if they were released without the recognizable assets.
