I would, but I don't wanna get banned.
just go to paheal

I haven't seen or thought about this show in so many years, but that one recurring bit with the action figures was my favorite.

I only want pure art, not porn.
Action League Now is definitely tbe funnist of the regular shorts, it was a cool concept and it feels like they had fun with such a stupid series. Nicktoons used to air them at like 3:00 am in the late 2000's, I would stay up just to watch them and othe kablam shorts.

Yeah that's most people's favorite. I loved it, but I got a little sick of it. For me it was the obscure ones like Patch Head and Racer Rabbit. plus Jet Cat is always a good time.

>pure art, not porn.
well if it helps, no sex is going on. Just
>good oldfashioned June being her wonderful disgusting self by eating cheetos naked and getting orange fingerprints everywhere
and
>Henry forcibly giving her a bath afterwards

June was my first waifu

>good oldfashioned June being her wonderful disgusting self by eating cheetos naked and getting orange fingerprints everywhere
I thought you were making this up and I braced for disappointment, but it's all true and wonderful.

I feel like if you don't stay in-character, what was the point of doing fanart?

I thought Fondue was a chick.

really? what is it about him that made you think that? I mean he's not the manliest guy in the world (he was the one with the tall hat, right? and sniz had the mohawk)
sniz and fondue are pretty interesting because one or both appear to be children, yet they live with these two other similar creatures who appear to be adults, but who aren't their parents or guardians in any way? just like, roommates. Like a Mission Hill situation. but they never explained it, and the roommates only showed up like 3 brief times

Ska is good, fuck everyone.

Attached: 1386713849855.png (250x250, 136K)

ska is okay. I don't think it should have died after the extremely early 2000s the way it did. but it can get annoying when there's too much of it. It's basically more upbeat zydeco after all

arr sound same

Prometheus and Bob was the funniest shit possible.

I'm not talking about Less than Jake shit. The most poppy I get is Reel Big Fish. Toaster, Mustard Plug, The Specials, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Madness, all fucking amazing

Those are all the same thing in my head, gotta admit. I mean, the ones I've heard of
the only other ska I know is the shit that regularly appeared on Rathergood before the Veitches decided to just stop making videos for whatever reason. even Mr Weebl kept going longer than that. Why do these people quit? it's baffling.
and it's mildly on-topic since I see those types as the logical successors to kablam's smalltime animation

I prescribe you this album.

I don't know. I guess he seemed like a naggy moral one-upper to me. That signaled "chick" to me.

Looking at it now, it's hard to re-piece, but it was definitely strong "chick" vibes at the time.

gosh, guys in suits. what a shock.
haha naw i'm sure that's good. maybe i'll listen to some later, but for now it's bedtime.
he's definitely a sort of a mother hen, you've got that right

Pure art you say. I found this.

I hope you guys listen to first and second wave ska. I remember some idiot who thought that ska was a subgenre of punk mixed with jazz, and not its own genre from Jamaica.

The thing about ska being 'dead' is that every single time someone makes the observation that it's dead, someone is going to miss it, and it becomes alive for a little bit.

Secondly, ska is completely rooted in british/afro-caribbean culture and how those two groups got along since the 60s. It was fusing together peoples of vastly different backgrounds into one, live. Since then multiple generations have gone by, and now ska is sort of considered an 'ancient' musical relic of the brits, like rockabilly. People know of it, but younger generations probably don't, but it's still important for musical history even if it's fading away with the older generations.

That being said americans have no such cultural ties to ska. Because they really don't have anything to do with it. The 60s were mostly dominated by psychedelic music; no real room for ska. It always made me wonder how it even got a following there.

When it was running, was this a low-tier show in terms of ratings?

It got a following not because of Jamaicans, but because of American punk bands listening to the slightly punk-tinged 2-tone era of punk from the UK. Hence, ska punk was created.

I was introduced by third wave but I love going back to the first and second wave to get more of the cultural start it had. I think there's a lot of enjoy in both forms though, it's just a shame it's treated like a joke nowadays.

...

>draw it a boy
>call it a girl
The last episode really confused me cause i always thought she was a boy

Attached: June_(Kablam).png (345x685, 264K)

Where do you live that has boys with ponytails named June?

June is both a boy and girls name though

where

>June is a female given name, but it is also used as a male given name in English-speaking countries
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_(given_name)
im from commiefornia but i had a male neighbor with a ponytail who was named june

In flipland although its spelled jun

utterly cute

if the ponytail was hanging down properly maybe, but hers is up high because she's a cute grrl

How does the last episode confuse you about her gender?
Please don't say "they kissed" because that never happened and if was all a urban legend later exposed as lies by the creators and the surfaced actual last episode itself.

I'm of the mind that a certain episode of Jetcat was responsible for a proto-Lord Hater.

plus the whole cartoon resembles Nancy pretty hard

how many years has it been since epic henry and the board name change?

whojawhat?

His dishonor, The Mayor

>that time June pissed her space suit costume and made a squish sound every step she took

Attached: the don.jpg (480x476, 39K)

It was nice seeing a flawed female character for once. Those were so rare at the time, I legitimately remembered it being Henry who pissed himself.

One day, Yea Forums was changed to "where comics and cartoons collide."

I loved this show as a kid, Modern/Zombie Nick will never bring this back not just because they're corporate idiots because kids won't know this show but the 90's fan. No one is possibly interested in an animated showcase program these days. Maybe I can see it as a show starring Henry and June as late 20-early 30-year olds trying to do a reunion anniversary show but with little fans being there. they must turn to drastic measures to get the show back on the map. This may never happen but it's only a dream. I can imagine it can be a nick at nite special or on Nick splat. The original creator might have to be a creative consultant for this. I don't really think a Kablam Revival is necessary but it could work as a one night only anniversary special IMHO.

Oh I remember that. That was beautiful.

I think the primary reason they couldn't re-air it is a lot of the rights have moved or expired. angela anaconda, for one.
But it's not as if CN, Disney, and Nick don't still air special pilots and/or pilot showcases once in a while.

Has the whole series been found yet or is there still missing episodes? Last I remember the last episode of the series and a few others were missing.

I need more art of Loopy.

The creator's site has all the episodes, right?

>be a pre-21st century cartoonist
>computers are still too low tech and expensive to replace you
>if you make it past the pilot the network gives you almost complete creative freedom just to keep you
>little to no product placement in your art
>your stories can tell whatever lesson you want
>diverse group of voice actors bringing your world to life because Tom Kenny is wasting his talent on a mediocre sketch comedy show on HBO instead making your characters sound like all the other characters he voices in every cartoon on TV
>banging super models in your loose fitting button up shirt covered with distorted triangles and zig zag lines
Give the artist chance to display their work as they intended and you end up with great characters and stories

>a shirt whose design doesn't move even as you move

for fucks sake SAUCE user PLZ

I was absolutely obsessed with this show as a kid to the point that my parents just taped all the episodes that they could so I could watch it at any time. They still have a bookcase in their basement filled with VHS tapes of this shit

because i thougt she was a boy since june is also a boys name in the philippines

I have so many great memories of chilling and watching this show, it was just one of those that would come on at the right times, when I was at Dad's or something, and we all loved it. Something for everyone.

>in the philippines
that must come in handy

Sure but what happened in the final episode that finally made you realize she was a gal?
Way before that you'd see her wearing dresses here and there and Henry referring to her with female pronouns

>my parents just taped all the episodes that they could so I could watch it at any time. They still have a bookcase in their basement filled with VHS tapes of this shit
Would you consider looking through them? A number of episodes for this series are lost media that fans have been searching for years.

>what happened in the final episode that finally made you realize she was a gal?
didn't they turn into real live footage kids?

Seconding

are you sure about that? I could have sworn the lot of it is up on markmarek.org
wanna take a look and tell me what, if anything, is missing?

I don't think that was the final episode, the final episode is considered lost I believe so what actually happens in it is not fully known.

I'll go double check, it's been awhile but I remember reading that the series had a good portion lost.

>the final episode is considered lost I believe
I just looked that up and it sounds like it's just a dumb kid urban legend

Sorry then, I had read non creepypasta shit some time ago that just described it as a regular episode that was lost, didn't sound out of the ordinary so I assumed it was real.

it's always worth checking out though, and kablam is very much the TYPE of show that would have lost bits.

also am I the only one who doesn't ship henry x june romantically, I just want them to experiment a little? Henry's probably the type to let June practice kissing on him if she had a date or something.

That'd involve me actually visiting my crazy parents, but I'd love to go through that shit. It's basically every Yea Forumsmrades wet dream to be in possession of lost media. They do live across the country though so it'd have to be in a few months when I fly over for my little brothers birtday.

Do you know off the top of your head which episodes havent been found?

she wore a gown if i remember correctly that made me realize she was a girl

Sorry, I was mistaken as the creator actually has uploaded the entire series on his site. Years ago though a good portion were either terrible quality or just flat out lost, it would have been a shame to never have such a good series been incomplete. Thank you for the thought though.

For anyone interested here's the full series from the creator's website.

Prometheus & Bob used to freak me the fuck out as a kid. That shit is still a little creepy even to this day

yeah but it rewatches the worst since you just know what's gonna happen
whereas life with loopy gets better each time. The surreal live puppet segments with the crazy voices.. also did you know the flat stopmotion faces were done with magnets?

Here's some non-Kablam appearances of Henry and June: youtube.com/watch?v=20NAkCBLMXs

Agreed

come to think of it, Racer Rabbit had some pretty racy language

That was an entertaining way to kill seventeen minutes, especially by the end. Thanks kindly.

>that promo jingle that ended up rhyming 'selection' with 'meat section'
not what my brain autofilled, but meat was involved..

I totally forgot about that until seeing this post and now I can’t unhear the squishing sound effect

oh chan.

Nickelodeon actually still owns all of the original shorts in there, even the Angela Anaconda pilot
it's actually the music loyalty issues
