Do you still hate these shows?
Hate
>ThunderCats
Wait. People hated that?
Not really ‘hate’,more like ‘indifferent’
People are annoyed with Thundercats because the writers clearly hated Lion-o and couldn't stop wanking off Tygra. Several episodes were Lion-O learning the same lessons and everyone shitting on him. Mix that with him getting cuckhold TWICE by Tygra (Cheetara) and Mum-Ra (Pumayrawhateverthefuckhernamewas) and naturally fans are a bit miffed. There's also documented evidence of the show artist being a complete fucking twat.
In fact the only person on production who cared about Lion-O was his voice actor, who wrote the Petalar episode (widely regarded as the best of the series)
I never hated Young Justice, even if I wasn't a fan with where they took season 2
Yea Forums has a problem with self inserting as MCs and hating whenever anything bad happens to them.
I like Young Justice.
>Korra
Mostly yes.
>Young Justice
I only saw the first season, which I enjoyed.
>Thundercats
Indifferent.
That's not really what's happening here. Bad things should happen to the protagonist, because seeing them overcome those obstacles and growing is what makes them interesting. However Lion-O rarely learned anything, and made the same mistakes which were resolved an episode prior in some cases. This isn't "self insert" autism, because you can very well tell while watching the show that the writers wanted Tygra to be the protagonist instead.
It was less that people hated Thundercats and more that they recognized the show had all the elements to make something truly fantastic and instead the creators decided to piss it all away.
Amazing voice cast. Terrific animation. Tons of great, well-established lore to draw from. The writers from the pilot episode were incredible. And then for some fucking reason they got all new writers who immediately dropped trou and shat out a huge, steaming log all over the show.
So much wasted potential. It was painfully sad.
People hate Young Justice? What?
I like YJ and LoK. I didn't like Thundercats at all, mostly because the writers kept shafting Lion O in favor of Tigra for no reason.
I'll get flamed for saying this but I won't be surprised if Thundercats Roar turns out to be better than the 2011 version.
I've heard criticism(which I mostly agree with) about relationship drama, most of the cast getting shafted after season 1 and the villains constantly going 'just as planned'.
Hate is to strong of a word, it had an amazing start and like 4 good episodes late, but then It not only dropped the ball it fucking chucked that shit down the Grand Canyon. Yea Forums ended up hating Half the cast except for Lion-O Wily-Kit and Cat, and lessons learned in previous episode where all forgotten and repeated. I personally Just disliked the way the plot played out.
why would I hate Young Justice?
>thundercats reboot
>young justice
Those were both great shows.
Remember that time when Lion-O fucking died and nobody on the team gave a flying fuck aside from Wilykit?
Never hated them. Though for Korra, Books 3 and 4 were pretty weak, and the inclusion of the Dark Avatar could've been done much better.
I agree that it could have been done better, but the "dark version of the protagonist" thing is kind of lame to begin with.
I think It'd be more interesting if we'd seen a dark avatar from early on and see why they believe in disharmony between the four elements and acting as a barrier instead of a bridge to the spirit world. Whatever that would mean.
Maybe they're not even explicitly evil, they just seek balance in a different way by counterbalancing the actions of the avatar. The show could frame both of them in a positive light, and explore their reasons for acting like they do, even though they see each others as evil.
>"people need to be able to communicate with the spirits if we're ever going to achieve harmony"
>"Spirits are a danger to the city's infrastructure and people, they need to be separate for each to thrive"
Shit like that.
I don't hate YJ or TC, never have
dropped Korra after s1.
Thundercats was a wreck.
Young Justice was okay.
I watched the thunder cats reboot long after Yea Forums, and I absolutely loved it.
But to my shock, every time I make a thread about it, there are always some people reeing their brains out about how much it was a show for cucks or something
I dropped Korra after Wan's origin story. Never saw the rest.
>there are always some people
There are some people who bitch about the animation quality of the new looney tunes shorts. Some people need to be ignored
>LoK
Yes. It was SJW trash.
>Young Justice
Why would someone hate that? It was good.
>Thundercats reboot
I'll always regret the waste of potential.
Only YJ.
Should've been obvious aged up Wilykit x Lion-O was endgame
>Korra
I only hated season 2 specifically, though the show as a whole was still disappointing. And I've only soured on the franchise since.
>YJ
Never hated it. Invasion wasn't as good as S1, but still decent. And Outsiders feels like a return to form.
>Thundercats
This show only had the two pilot episodes. I refuse to acknowledge anything else.
There's a difference between self insertfags getting mad that their self insert is getting bullied and the writer just shitting on the main character out of favoritism towards another character.
korra, yes
not the others
More that people hated the romance shit and it being more of a Tygra circle jerk.
Huh, I notice that all three of these shows have something in common. Absolutely garbage romantic subplots. Writers should stop trying to force romance in every fucking show, especially when it's obvious that they can't write it.
At least Lion-O would have gotten with best girl WilyKit after some timeskip + magic book shenanigans though.
Though there was also that stuff about Pumyra turning into some horrible bug monster or something
What's wrong with YJ?
Are you sure you're not thinking of the Voltron reboot?
Why would I hate Thundercats? It was based enough to dare the a truly groundbreaking ship.
I think most people wouldn't care about the relationship drama if they actually showed us that Tygra was a massive piece of shit who was fueled by petty jealousy instead of sucking him off at every opportunity and that WilyKit was Lion-O's one and only endgame instead of baiting people with other girls.
Indeed. Relationship drama can be good, it's just they flub it by severely favoring one character over another, and... well, let's face it, the writers dropped the ball real fucking hard with episodic bullshit that didn't carry lessons over from episode to episode.
what is this art styles called anime-like?
>American that tries hard to be japanese despite not being asian
The very definition of the word weeaboo.
Artemis is a slut
>Korra
season 1 i liked
>>Young Justice
I didn't finish it, sorry.
>Thundercats
been trying to find an episode for some time.
I like it then again I'm a weeb.
can't blame the fans for this when she was the only person that cared about him.
Well if you wanna be Japanese you're gonna have to learn the language.
were they fucking with him?
I didn't really hated Korra, but I watched Korra before I watched the original series. When I watched the first series later I thought that fore being made so long ago it was quite nice and superior to Korra in every aspect. But since I didn't watch in its moment I didn't have any strong feelings with the sequel
I really enjoyed both seasons of Justice League. Watching them though was a pain in the ass because the broadcast was a mess and to that you need add getting subtitles was an aditional task for me.
I remember thundercats couple of first episodes being really good, then it gone pretty meh. Like with JL to me getting them regularly with subtitles was a challenge, the series was so meh to me that at some point I stopped caring Around when they introduced Pumyra.
>Absolutely garbage romantic subplots.
THIS
>Korra
1 is extreemly mixed after the first three episodes and season 2 is mostly meh with a pretty bad finale but still has Beginnings going for it. Season 3 straight up turned the show around for me in terms of quality and it's a shame that S4 was good but not great. I ended up liking the show overall.
>YJ
Haven't seen S3 yet but apart from being a bit bland at times I've never had an issue with it.
>Thundercats
The only thing I remember is that one episode with the plant people that I really enjoyed. I don't recall ever finishing it.
That's because the writters of today are the shippers of yesterday. That's why shippiing is a cancer. Some people will tell you there is no harm in shipping characters, and there is not...now, but in a decade or so those shippers will be in charge of writting and everything will be annoying shipping.
that and most of the writer's stuff never had a GF/BF before.
Everyone liked the pilot and thought it had a lot of potential. After the pilot, they used different writers and the show went downhill from there. It didn't seem like the writers were communicating with each other and any character development that happened in one episode would be gone in a different episode with a different writer. Also, the writers really seemed to like Tygra but they couldn't figure out how to make Tygra shine so instead, they just made the rest of the characters (especially Lion-O) useless and incompetent so Tygra would look better in comparison.
A lot of people got turned off when the show's character designer Dan Norton started attacking fans online and throwing an Internet hissy fit.
So I'm not alone thinking the Cheetara/Tygra shipping was fucking bullshit right?
The best arc they had was when Lion-O died and Tygra took over, and then proved himself utterly incompetent to the point the team was legit going to die, until Lion-O saved their asses.
It felt like vindication.
The romance would have been fine if it was written better.
In the comic book, she ends with Panthro.
Yeah.
It wasn't just Pumyra. The writers seemed to dislike all of the New Thundercats. Lynx-O was going to be a genocidal monster who was responsible for the war between the catfolk and the lizardfolk. Bengali was written out completely because the writers felt that Tygra wouldn't be special anymore if there was another tiger on the show.
Hate is a strong word for what I feel for Korra
It's a mix of contempt and complete indifference
Them going full retard because of it was more annoying. Like that time Cheetara threw her weapon away and got caught in the middle of a fight because Lion O didn't drop everything for Tygra.
Yes , Korra is SJW garbage .
I remember Leon-o learning the exact same lesson like in 5 or 6 different episodes, it was like watching fucking Ash Ketchum
Romance has always been an integral part of the narration ... the hero always gets the girl since the dawn of narrative.
If anything, romance should be dealt with in the same way as other elements of the plot and written with similar care, rather than be an emotional sounding board for the disastrous dating history of writers and EPs.
The main story was amazing, but in the entire run we got like 4 episodes of it. Then immediately off to nonsensical filler with sand sharks or leaf people that no one could give a shit about
Never cared for Young Justice, the teens seemed like dicks
It was the nonstop filler episodes. They were really fucking bad and distracted from the main story which had everyone interested. But the creators were trying to imitate the original show where they were all weird filler shit where they helped elephant people remember something or koala people find a tree or something just as dumb.
Difference here is that the main story in the 2011 show was super interesting and people only wanted to see that. But the show was not really interested in giving the fans the main story much at all.
Haven't watched young justice, but Thundercats and Korra was disappointing. The latter at least had some fun moments and s3 was decent imho.
no it was all trash you are wrong
