Pippi Langstrump, the strongest girl in the world. It is noted that the author, Astrid Lindgren, rejected the first proposal for it to be animated in 1971 by the Japanese founders of Ghibli, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki.

WHAT SHALL WE DO TODAY?

Aw, if it got animated by Ghibli, Pippi would be more well known so there would be more aged up lewd art of her right now.

>grew up with nothing but redheaded waifus in cartoons and anime
>now only want a redheaded girl like Charlie Brown
>literally never met a redheaded person IRL

I have several gingers in my direct family. I'm going to guess you're a non-westerner though.

not him, but where I live its all blondes, brunettes, and black haired girls, with the occasional sprinkling of dye jobs.

>Canada actually made one (1) cartoon with a hint of soul
>Almost all of the episodes were written by a father-son duo
Really makes you think. And regret missing out on the anime that much less.

Weekend Yea Forums still worst Yea Forums.

wait, you don't like the drawthreads or pippi langstrompe?

I loved Pippi Longstocking as a kid. For two consecutive Halloweens I'd go out with my ponytails ( I put a coat hanger to make them go straight out) and toy monkey and lift up pumpkins to get candy. Fun times.

How did you come into contact with Pippi Longstockings, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm from scandinavia, and I'm interested in how the rest of the world met the show.

Not him, but I remember watching Pippi Longstockings on the Qubo channel growing up as a kid. One of the few shows I remember vividly and quite enjoyed for what it had.

The animated movie came on TV when I was younger (either Disney or Cartoon Network). Then a few years later while babysitting, I found the show on Qubo.

Where was her show the most popular? I remember watching a commercial for her show on vhs but I never once saw her show here state side.

Did you never see the live action show? I don't think we ever had the animated version over here. What about Emil from Lonneberg? Ever heard of that?

I didn't even know that there was a live action show until you mentioned it. Never heard of Emil of Lonneberg either.

Qubo was a channel that wasn't very good with showing new shows.

The only other adaptation I've seen was a live action movie of it. I haven't heard of Emil (but will definitely give it a watch or read).

Well, you're probably not gonna have that good of time with the live action show of longstocking, being adults and all, but it was pretty fun for kid me. Emil from lonneberg is also an Astrid Lindberg creation, and it's about an asshole child living in bumfuck nowhere nowhere sweden getting in trouble constantly, and occasionally it's not his fault.

I'll still check it out. Wait, the kid's an ass, but most of the trouble isn't his fault? Now I really want to read or watch this.

It's sort of 50/50. It's about a kid and the troubles he can get into living on a farm. Sometimes he could have prevented it, sometimes it's just bad luck. The family always makes up at the end, to show kids that going to your parents when you don't know how to handle shit isn't bad.

It's official, I'm going to find Emil content. Thank you for introducing me to it.

>didn't let autistic cynical gooks to ruin her series
BASED

Based pure Nordic author dabbing on those degenerate animu nips

shit movie and his show his even more fucking boring

She's called Lindgren, not Lindberg, sorry everyone, I got the name wrong.
Also, she probably didn't wanna turn stuff over to japs because she was young during ww2.

ghiblishit is overrated but they would have elevated Pippi's popularity worldwide.

Nigga it's been translated to 44 languages, including english, german, spanish, and german. I think it's fair to say it's worldwide.

Back when I was a kid, I love playing VHS of that animated movie in a background on repeat, while I was playing Age Of Empires I's naval maps.
