In Polish, the only rule for figuring it out is "if the word ends in -a, then it's probably feminine", but there are obviously some exceptions, mostly in loanwords

You could interpret it as the words changing and appearing as any language so the user can understand it because magic.

-If it ends with A, it's female.
-If it ends with I, O, or U it's male
-E is neutral
-If the word ends with a consonant the last vowel applies the respective rule

I don't read marvel that much but I remember seeing the female thor design and thinking "whoa, she looks cool, gonna read later" and shit m8's, I was soooo dissapointed. Why can't they hire decent writters. Is not like there wasn't a bunch of talented writters everywhere that would work for pennies.
