Happy they're removing all the old spiderman cliches
This movie sounds fucking awesome
Bait thread right? Though I personally am not opposed to change
Me too, OP. I, for one, are glad that Marvel Movies have seen the error in the Marvel comics division and are tossing aside everything us readers like.
The movie honestly looks like a funny and intelligent adventure for the whole family. Something Spielberg would have made
I fucking loved homecoming and think this looks like it will be mediocre as fuck. It's ignoring the aspects I liked most about the dynamic between Tony and Peter and their pseudo father/son relationship and treating it more like your typical Batman/Robin deal.
but the OST isn't out
>Happy they're removing all the old spiderman cliches
Unironically this
>there are unironically people who are happy the MCU is completely butchering and shaving off all of Spider-Mans core characteristics, core narratives, core supporting characters, and everything unique about him.
What did we do to deserve this. I'd have preferred Andrew to continue to this.
Cry about it all you want loser but it's true
Things like Uncle Ben and secret identities were holding Spiderman back
Easy (You)s from an attention starved faggot
>ns core characteristics, core narratives, core supporting characters, and everything unique about him.
Cliches. He can be unique without just ripping off stuff other spiderman writers did
>Uncle Ben was holding Spider-Man back
How? He's literally just representative of Spider-Man's morality and dies at the beginning of Peter's story.
>I dont actually like spiderman
It ruined all my Spider-Man comics and fucked my sister.
>THE CORE FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS OF A CHARACTER
>"CLICHES"
Nigga did you just fucking say that?
>Wants the same basic Spider-Man story a THIRD TIME
Holy Yikers
Yes user i want Spider-Man to be Spider-Man, what a massive shock i know.
Its almost like expecting Godzilla to be a grumpy 30 story tall atomic fire breathing shit-kicker instead of a twink iguana or expecting Superman to be a hopeful smiling upbeat optimistic good guy instead of a mopey brooding miserable misanthrope.
If you want comic accurate read a comic
If they're making a Spider-Man movie they should make a fucking Spider-Man movie, cunt.
>expecting Superman to be a hopeful smiling upbeat optimistic good guy instead of a mopey brooding miserable misanthrope
Are we shitting on Snyder in this thread? Because I've got a big post.
For me?
>I want Spider-Man to be Spider-man
>"I wanna see Uncle Ben die again"
Just admit you have a boner for the Raimi series
user you dont need to show Uncle Ben dying to have Spider-Man be Spider-Man. I enjoyed the Raimi films, but they're not the be-all end-all of Spider-Man
I'd have rathered the MCU movies ACTUALLY be adaptations of the Ultimate comics than just using Ultimate as an excuse for shitty changes.
I didn't realise I was watching a Squirrel Girl movie
>Comic accurate
what a meme
>if its called Spider-Man that means its Spider-Man even if it completely butchers Spider-Man and doesnt understand Spider-Man.
Is the 1998 Godzilla actually Godzilla?
No, you can tell user isn't a real godzilla fan since 1998 godzilla is actually zilla, a completely different SPECIES from godzilla but still canon
...And why is that, user.
its an alternate universe, no one complains that Noir or X-men Evolution dont follow 616
>removing all the old spiderman cliches
j.jamson
Uncle Ben's death is the defining point of Spider-Man's character and is one of the reasons why spider man is great lol. At least marvel spider man could have some events to fill that void but it doesn't.
Motherfucker its an adaptation. this "alternate universe" bullshit only stretches so far.
>X-men Evolution
I know it's almost 20 years old so there's not many people who remember the initial reaction but people literally bitched about Evo not following 616 canon. People accepting the show as having its own merits regardless of how it deviates from classic X-Men lore is a fairly recent development.
>Motherfucker its an adaptation
Of what? What is the movie trying to adapt?
SPIDER-MAN.
Which arc or plot or even issue in SPIDER-MAN
Does it matter?
I mean if you want to get nitty and gritty, Amazing Spider-Man #13, but still, does it fucking matter? It still fucks up core components of Spider-Man.
You using adaption word in a loose way.
>removing all the old spiderman cliches
>reuses the classic 1967 Spiderman theme and butchering it with a generic sounding orchestra
(you)
How would you have gone about making MCU Spider-Man different while retaining his core character?
The MCU was a mistake.
Don't make spidey into ironman legacy, he was fine as being his own thing
Dont remove all spiderman lore.
More quips
Just fucking says uncle Ben. Or mention him more.
Don't make ironman into figure, make him more like a brother or something that.
Dont turn all of Peter villians into angry employees of ironman.
That's pretty much it.
