What If The MCU started with Sam Raimi's Trilogy

This is a very ballsy hypothetical. Let's say that after the Spider-Man trilogy, Marvel and Paramount found a way to purchase Sam Raimi's movie trilogy? They would still do the Iron Man movies, the Thor Movies, and the first 2 Captain America movies in the exact same way, but at the end of Iron Man 2, Nick Fury brings Tony to a New York City apartment & it's revealed that Tobey Maguire is here.

Raimi Spider-Man would be Team Cap from the start, and wouldn’t even budge in terms of switching.
He’d be very strong, and would be a MUCH bigger help than Iron Lad.

For starters the director of Incredible Hulk wanted to tie it in with the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy by having Banner meet Samuel Sterns at Empire State University, and have Tobey Maguire cameo.

If they had gotten the rights to the Raimi trilogy, then that definitely would've gone through.

I think they would've tried to incorporate in more cameos of Tobey, like having Spider-Man read the newspaper about what Iron Man or Thor was doing.

If he was part of the Avengers when it formed, then it might change up a lot of things. Or they could go the loner route by having him fight off the Chitauri but not officially join the team because he goes off to see if Mary Jane's safe.

Let's say it happened. And let's say that rather than the Avengers going to Hawkeye's house in AOU, they go to Peter's new home, which shows Peter's baby girl. The baby's name is May and she has brown hair

Well so the plot point in Engame is that Tony and Peter failed. MJ gets dusted, which causes Peter to have to spend the next 5 years as a single father while Tony works alongside Steve and Nat on rebuilding Earth and the Universe.
Peter still does the Spider-Man work, but he's more spiteful and violent. He doesn't kill anyone like Hawkeye did as Ronin, but be beats people into submission like Batman. Days later, Peter is showing his daughter old family photos and opens a portrait of a young Uncle Ben,She asks him some questions

How would Spider-Man fair during Age of Ultron?
Would he help Stark and Banner make Ultron? Would he befriend Scarlet Witch?
What would his nightmare sequence be?
Would he be able to lift Thor's hammer? Even slightly nudge it?

He does but they never say he's a sorcerer in the Raimi film. It could still work, because he was known for being a surgeon prior to the accident. Same thing with HYDRA trying to target him before he got his abilities.

He'd die vs Ultron instead of QS, giving us the Ultimate moment and really set up Civil War. We get Iron Lad out of Miles instead.

Nightmare sequence would be him feeling like he failed Uncle Ben and Harry, and losing Mary Jane (and if Mayday is already around by this point, her too).

This could work but the more I think about it the Gauntlet part would work better for passing of the torch.

Better idea: Peter gets injured in Age of Ultron, so he can't go to Europe even if asked by Tony or Steve, Tony goes and gets Miles instead. Miles gets the Iron Lad arc. Peter is pissed off at Tony for losing Miles and also distraught over losing Mary Jane.

Now that I think of it, Quicksilver would still die, on account that there would still be conflict between Fox and Marvel. Spider-Man could get injured though, which prevents him from being in Civil War.

This could work, though now we've got three different ideas in the thread:

-Peter dies in Age of Ultron, Miles gets the Iron Lad storyarc
-Peter gets injured in Age of Ultron but survived, Miles gets the Iron Lad storyarc, Miles and Mary Jane got dusted, Peter is the one who snaps Thanos and the rest
-Peter isn't badly affected by Age of Ultron, fights Scott and joins Cap's side in Civil War

Which works best?

Third one, Yea Forums and many others would complain about Miles, unless he were to be written like in ITSV, which is a big doubt

I've thought about this before, in my perfect world this would've happened:

I thought about this some more and I think there's a lot of different things that could go on if you want a scenario where they started with the Raimi trilogy.

If they started with the Raimi Trilogy then that means they probably get the rights to all the Spider-Man characters back, unless somehow Sony was allowed to use characters that they haven't used yet, like Morbius and Silver Sable.

Spider-Man 3 was already out in 2007 so they might want to wait a few years to do a new one and would still be working on Iron Man. But because Spider-Man is a profitable franchise, the worst case scenario is that Marvel Studios (at this time also with input from Ike) would try to forcibly tie in some other Spider-Man stuff in with all the films.

I think Raimi might not come back to do the fourth film even if it were in the MCU. He'd still have to deal with a lot of requests from producers and such, this time it would be Feige and Ike and his Creative Committee, and it'd remind him of his frustration working on Spider-Man 3.

If Raimi stayed on board (and this would mean Feige really believed in his vision and fought back against the Creative Committee that early) then Spider-Man 4 would involve the Vulture and Mysterio (played by Bruce Campbell), as suggested in the storyboards in planethenderson.com/storyboards/#/spiderman4/
I think it would probably be out the same year as Avengers (taking the place of Amazing Spider-Man), or the year after (which had just Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World). He'd probably be requested to throw in a cameo of another Marvel character.

If Galactus and Surfer show up it would be a cameo in the first Guardians, because that's what they planned to do.

If Marvel Studios had those two a lot of plans might've changed. You can do the Silver Surfer and Galactus on Earth story without the Fantastic Four (they'd just have to take influence from that one Lee/Kirby graphic novel from the 70's). In fact if they keep the story mostly intact and set it in the 70's, it could give them a way to say the Surfer and Galactus had been on Earth once and why they're shown together in GOTG.

Daredevil would be stuck at Fox, but that would only affect the Netflix shows, which Feige seems to be ignoring.

I wouldnt mind it. I mean we have to acknowledge these films and a spider verse live adaptation would also mean a Miles Morales.

If you have G and Surer show up in the 70s that would have immense ripples on the MCU. It could lead to an in universe arms race by humanity to develop super beings to thwart G if he comes back

I thought more about making Maguire!Peter reappear in Civil War, just like the Holland one. Only this Peter would be a high school teacher and depressed after the events of Spider-Man 3, to the point he again quit from the hero gig, this time for years. When Tony goes to him to recruiting him (he put two and two together on his identity by reading the Bugle), Peter is way more distrusting and not impressed at all by Iron Man's presence.

I would think Tony would be carrying or wearing a suit like the one from the Race on IM2, very cut down

Pete would have developed his Spider Sense and reflexes to such a degree he pulls off a Sherlock scan (shout out to Sherlock since RDJ played him, and is now on the receiving end)

We cut to Infinity War, where Stark has so much going for him, but is still the same emotionally and thoughtfully, making Civil War null. I think Spidey would take the battle in Civil War the wrong way as well, but he wouldn't be stubbornly ignoring the faults, because he has no knowledge of it. He feels betrayed by Stark and the hero world. So Spidey going into space could be him realizing that Stark is trying to redeem himself. Forgiveness
If Spider-Man sacrifices himself for the world, after he and Tony lost together in IW, maybe Tony would understand his faults. He comes to the realization that with great power comes great responsibility, and that he can guide a new generation of heroes as Director of Shield, passing the torch in a way that's more hands on. And when it hits dark, he knows that he's the only one who can make it bright again.

I think the problem is, if he's fighting in Civil War on Cap's side, the chance of him getting arrested is high. And even assuming he gets away, where does he go? Government agents are probably aware of who he is by that point. I guess in that scenario the next Spider-Man movie would be him on the run trying to fight crime while evading Iron Man and law enforcement, probably a combination of Spiderhunt and post-Civil War comic Spider-Man. Someone else can expand on that.

There was the idea mentioned earlier about how Peter could be injured in Age of Ultron while Miles takes the place of Holland Peter (after being established in Spider-Man 4 or 5). That way, Peter may have wanted to join up with Cap but couldn't because he's still out of the game. Miles and Peter could still be outside of government interference since they're still hanging around New York.

Miles gets to be the one in Infinity War and gets snapped. In Endgame we find out Mary Jane got snapped, too. Peter is pissed (unfairly) at Tony for losing Miles, and leaves the Avengers, cutting off all contact with them.

You can also incorporate and Avengers feel they need to get Peter for some reason (maybe because he has Spider-Sense), they find out Spider-Man's been kind of brutal in the past few years on what video footage they could find. Later they find Sandman (who's also been called upon to babysit Mayday), who tells the Avengers that Peter's not willing to talk to them. Peter and JJJ are at some coffee shop discussing things (or at least JJJ is the one doing most of the talking), at this point JJJ knows he's Spider-Man.

Peter is spurred back into action like in After Miles comes back to life he's finding it hard to live up to Peter's legacy rather than Stark's.

Also think there's no need for an Iron Lad character in this version, Infinity War can still work without Spidey

I think only the MTV show has a connection to Affleck's Daredevil (MCD Kingpin). The trilogy as a whole doesn't because the MTV show only uses the first movie as a starting point then does its own thing (which isn't compatible with 2 and 3).

I imagined that you could still have Miles still be a mentor for May if she's born in 2014. We just wouldn't have a movie with Spider-Girl in it until the 2030s.

The reason I put in Five and Six was to give Peter more development outside of just team up movies. I imagine you could sort of split these movies into two trilogies; one covering Peter's early years, the other covering Peter's life in a world where superheroes are much more common.

Alternatively he just retires and only supports the avengers/shield from the shadows financially.
Maybe even becomes the new shield director.
