This is a very ballsy hypothetical. Let's say that after the Spider-Man trilogy, Marvel and Paramount found a way to purchase Sam Raimi's movie trilogy? They would still do the Iron Man movies, the Thor Movies, and the first 2 Captain America movies in the exact same way, but at the end of Iron Man 2, Nick Fury brings Tony to a New York City apartment & it's revealed that Tobey Maguire is here.
>Raimi's Peter is a lead alongside RDJ's Tony Stark.
>All the movies go nearly identical, until Age of Ultron,
>How would you work Raimi Spidey as one of the leads for phases 1-3?
Raimi Spider-Man would be Team Cap from the start, and wouldn’t even budge in terms of switching. He’d be very strong, and would be a MUCH bigger help than Iron Lad. He’d punch Thanos square in the jaw like that one moment from the comics.
Andrew Walker
And how would he adapt post snap? Since he'd be apart of the OG Avengers
Jayden White
i think he'd know the avengers but still not join them.only appearance would be third acct of avengers 1 i guess.
Joshua Gutierrez
>Imagine Tobey doing the Snap at the end of Endgame
>Thanos: I have all the power to terminate you >Peter: Well (hesitates)...with......great power....comes great responsibility
>*Snap*
Sebastian Watson
Like a big reveal where Spider-man is not implied in these movies until the battle in new york? That'd be tight
For starters the director of Incredible Hulk wanted to tie it in with the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy by having Banner meet Samuel Sterns at Empire State University, and have Tobey Maguire cameo.
If they had gotten the rights to the Raimi trilogy, then that definitely would've gone through.
I think they would've tried to incorporate in more cameos of Tobey, like having Spider-Man read the newspaper about what Iron Man or Thor was doing.
If he was part of the Avengers when it formed, then it might change up a lot of things. Or they could go the loner route by having him fight off the Chitauri but not officially join the team because he goes off to see if Mary Jane's safe.
Brayden Jenkins
>Or they could go the loner route by having him fight off the Chitauri but not officially join the team because he goes off to see if Mary Jane's safe.
Like the Chitauri gang up on a weaker character, let's say Natasha, and she can't fight them down, it looks like that's it. Suddenly >*Thwip* youtube.com/watch?v=2BqFYZjtNkk >Webs tackle the chitauri one by one and a red arm swings them away >Spider-Man: Well miss, those pesky flies won't be doing a number on you anytime soon >BW: Who are you? >Spider-Man: Looks like you're not a New Yorker, look right now I have to go get my girl, but ask anyone from the area about me >Spider-Man swings away
This means Sony would still have tried to make a ton of Spider-Man spinoffs ala Venom and Disney would probably be pissed beyond belief at them for sullying the MCU brand.
Ryder Lee
No, if they did what OP said, and they started with the Raimi trilogy, then that gives them Green Goblin, Ock, Venom, and Sandman. Sony might be stuck with Morbius and Carnage or something.
Here's another thing, one of the plans was that Spider-Man 4 would've had Peter and MJ having a kid. Would that have remained intact even if Raimi bailed on 4?
Mason Jenkins
Don't you mean Kristen Dusted
Blake Peterson
>racist spiderman no thanks
Wyatt Williams
>He brings back Uncle Ben. >Ben does it, before giving a nod and a smile and fading away.
Jackson Davis
Let's say it happened. And let's say that rather than the Avengers going to Hawkeye's house in AOU, they go to Peter's new home, which shows Peter's baby girl. The baby's name is May and she has brown hair And all the scenes between Tony and his daughter in Endgame are transfered to Peter and May. Don't ask about the timeskip, she'd be 8 by then
Julian Nguyen
>[spoilers]she'd be 8 by then[/spoilers] Go on...
Juan Robinson
Yea Forums would have still hated it regardless.
Lincoln Smith
Well so the plot point in Engame is that Tony and Peter failed. MJ gets dusted, which causes Peter to have to spend the next 5 years as a single father while Tony works alongside Steve and Nat on rebuilding Earth and the Universe. Peter still does the Spider-Man work, but he's more spiteful and violent. He doesn't kill anyone like Hawkeye did as Ronin, but be beats people into submission like Batman. Later when the Avengers try and speak with Peter, he angerly breaks down like in this scene from Brothers youtube.com/watch?v=Yo3qKhfO_V4. Days later, Peter is showing his daughter old family photos and opens a portrait of a young Uncle Ben,She asks him some questions
May:Is that grampa? Pete: In a way, yes M: What did he do? P:Grandpa was a good man, a kind person who wanted to show people that they could be better M: Is he dead? P: Well of course....He died doing what he needed to do..without fear...without sadness M: Why? P:Because it was his responsibil..lity..

Hours later Peter looks into his closet, and finds the new suit he's been wearing on his rampages. It's so deviated from the original design, like Spock's 2nd superior spider-man outfit/Alex Ross design. The suit breathes anger and hatred. So Peter decides to open an old box, with a tattered version of his 2002 suit. The Spider-man theme flows through Peter: Needs some work
Everything building up to the time travel scene happens like normal, but replace Hawkeye's drama with Peter's drama. Even the test run scene
Daniel Stewart
>Fury: "Well everyone I'd like you to meet the Spectacular, Amazing... Peter Parker from Queens." >Spidey looks at him silently in shock >Pete:" H-how- >Natasha: "Did you think the largest and most powerful defense agency in the world wouldn't know who you were? It took some time after putting together the data but it all fell into place quickly."

Luis Nelson
In the first Antman movie, it's not Falcon who fights Scott, but Peter. Thematically it makes a lot of sense
How would Spider-Man fair during Age of Ultron? Would he help Stark and Banner make Ultron? Would he befriend Scarlet Witch? What would his nightmare sequence be? Would he be able to lift Thor's hammer? Even slightly nudge it?
Henry Baker
He does but they never say he's a sorcerer in the Raimi film. It could still work, because he was known for being a surgeon prior to the accident. Same thing with HYDRA trying to target him before he got his abilities.
Nicholas Reed
He'd die vs Ultron instead of QS, giving us the Ultimate moment and really set up Civil War. We get Iron Lad out of Miles instead.
Lincoln Brooks
>What would his nightmare sequence be?
Nightmare sequence would be him feeling like he failed Uncle Ben and Harry, and losing Mary Jane (and if Mayday is already around by this point, her too).
Austin Long
This could work but the more I think about it the Gauntlet part would work better for passing of the torch.
Better idea: Peter gets injured in Age of Ultron, so he can't go to Europe even if asked by Tony or Steve, Tony goes and gets Miles instead. Miles gets the Iron Lad arc. Peter is pissed off at Tony for losing Miles and also distraught over losing Mary Jane.
Luke Carter
Heres a better one >Peter wakes up after being hit >He sees a pool of skeletons >He looks at a villian in the distance, it looks like the symbiote has taken another host and is coming after MJ. >Peter runs and repeatedly punches Venom over and over >He stops >It's MJ >He starts scratching himself out of uncontrollable regret >There's blood opening from his chest >But it's green >Peter starts screaming over and over >But the screams turn into laughter >He is now the Green Goblin
Justin Parker
>He'd die there'd be so much outrage that they would have to bring him back
Anthony Scott
Now that I think of it, Quicksilver would still die, on account that there would still be conflict between Fox and Marvel. Spider-Man could get injured though, which prevents him from being in Civil War.
Ryan Gonzalez
This could work, though now we've got three different ideas in the thread:
-Peter dies in Age of Ultron, Miles gets the Iron Lad storyarc -Peter gets injured in Age of Ultron but survived, Miles gets the Iron Lad storyarc, Miles and Mary Jane got dusted, Peter is the one who snaps Thanos and the rest -Peter isn't badly affected by Age of Ultron, fights Scott and joins Cap's side in Civil War
Which works best?
Logan Torres
Third one, Yea Forums and many others would complain about Miles, unless he were to be written like in ITSV, which is a big doubt
Levi Harris
That actually brings up another question, Feige split Marvel Studios from the Creative Committee, which had Bendis on it. I wonder if he would've wanted to use Miles.
Eli Scott
honestly raimi peter dying in the snap and Far from Home starring a miles trying to live up to his legacy would have made a million times more sense than everyone inexplicably trying to tie spider man to iron man
Josiah Morales
This.
Jordan Walker
Also, Peter is the only Avenger not to take his mask off, so his death is the first time the public knows who he is.
Also Joe Manganiello reprises his role of Flash Thompson at the funeral
Jonathan Perez
Flash shows up at the funeral as a war veteran who's missing his legs.
Later he's asked to be part of an experiment and it's revealed SHIELD collected traces of the symbiote after the events of Spider-Man 3
David Rodriguez
Perfect >MJ does a speech like the one in ITSV
>Mayday develops her powers and is trained by Miles >Thanks to more Heroes coming out with their identities, May is dealing with issues like sponsors and such
Nicholas Butler
Another thing: If they got the rights to the Raimi Trilogy, I think they still would've done another Spider-Man movie, even if it were a deal similar to Universal, because they know how profitable Spider-Man is. The question is when they would've done it. Maybe after the first Avengers film, since that was when Amazing Spider-Man was out?
Anthony Sullivan
fuck this would have been kino
Joseph Gutierrez
How would Peter meet Miles, would it be like ITSV where their spider-senses interlock? Or would we have to do the whole shield thing?
Evan Morales
>Spider-Man: Reunion >It's been 10 years since Peter became Spider-Man, 5 years since he's been with MJ, and 1 year since the attack on NYC >MJ must leave new york, as she's filming a superhero movie in California (lel), but she'll be back in time for the high school reunion >5 Months have past and Pete misses her >While that's going on, a man named Adrian Tombes has been digging through old Oscorp material after being fired by a representative of Tony Stark >Tombes wants revenge, not towards Stark, but towards the concept of superheroes, so what better than to kill America's first relevant superhero, Spider-Man. >Subplot: 5 months into being alone, a cat burglar named Black-Cat is getting very close to Spider-Man, robbing jewlery, stealing Chitauri tech and giving it to Peter, and getting close to Pete. >She's the temptation for Peter, which isn't good >Theres a big battle at the end of the movie, with Peter and Black Cat. The fight starts out at Peter's high school, and ends on the Brooklyn bridge. Black Cat almost falls to her death, put Peter saves her. he defeats tombes and arrests both of them. I dunno, this is a summary, but there's a lack of substance. Maybe a Daredevil cameo, they're still doing clean up from the damage, and things are slightly post-9/11 in it's production design
David Foster
Ultron was shat on for months, I think that move would have sunk the movie lower than that.

Hypothetical Spider-Man 4 shows at some point Peter became a teacher in between SM3 and Avengers?
Josiah Lee
Daredevil wouldn't have shown up yet; rights were still over at Fox at the time they were working on Avengers, I think.
William Cox
Would Bryce Dallas Howard be Spider-Gwen?
Connor Lopez
There'd probably be some drama where MJ gets into the apartment early while Black Cat forcefully kisses Peter
Here's another one: what if Fox decided to extend the Daredevil rights and agreed to give Marvel the Silver Surfer and Galactus in exchange?
Henry Torres
Easy. Silver Surfer would replace Vision
Hunter Martin
>SS replacing Vision That's a thought I have never entertained before. Ooooh, spicy.
How old would Cat be? I think her being younger and having grown up looking up to Spider-Man would be great. Maybe make her be in her early to mid twenties while Pete is in his thirties. Would make their meeting and her realization that the ideal and reality are not quite the same
James Torres
Or Silver Surfer could be a supporting character in GOTG V2. He's introduced while Starlord is listening to Beach Boys youtube.com/watch?v=pHghQB4-t-4
Grayson Johnson
>How old would Cat be? I think her being younger Young Adult actresses who were of early 20s in 2013 Jane Levy (Pic related) Emma Roberts Shailene Woodley Lily Collins Dakota Fanning
I think for this to work better we should have a better version of Spider-Man 3, one with no Venom so we could eventually get that batshit crazy Tom Hardy performance
I forgot but did Sandman die in SM3? Because him joing the battle against Thanos would be sick >Thanos' army is crushed by a desert coming at them >Sandman grows to giant size and swings a Chitauri Leviathan like a whip >Thanos can't hurt him at all, Sandman can
I think that at the end of the movie, he... just gave up. I'd like to think that when the snap happens he was unaffected by it due to how he works ande decided to do something more productive to society, like being a fireman or something like that.
Juan Scott
During those years SHIELD was probably constantly on the lookout to capture him. It's a good thing he's a two bit crook with no aspirations towards world domination

Isaiah Howard
To be honest? None, Pete doesn't turn into an Avenger, he stays in NYC, and only joins in on the movies in the first Avengers to help out, but leaves, and Civil War and IW/Endgame. I like the idea of one of the biggest heroes of earth not being an Avenger, makes the world seem bigger
Zachary Hall
This would not be kino.
Samuel King
Would peter go with Tony to space? Or would he have been with Cap on Earth?

Did you give him a chance? DID YOU-" >He thrusts the killer into the light >It's Peter >He grins >His smile stretches wider and wider >Turns into Venom >Lunges forward, enveloping the screen in darkness >Cut to Peter in a tattered suit, unmasked >"Peter..." >Uncle Ben steps out of the shadows, his eyes milky white >"Pete..." >Harry steps out, his face scarred, his skin pale >"Peter Parker..." >Otto steps forward, dragging his sparking tentacles behind him >People who are still alive begin surrounding him as well >"Why did you lie to me all these years, Peter?" >"You killed him, Peter. You. Killed. Him." >"I'll never have a normal life Peter. I've thought about this before, in my perfect world this would've happened: >Iron Man 1 and 2 goes the same, Hulk, Cap and Thor too, maybe sprinkle some references to spidey(and other heroes, like Fury at the end of IM1), nothing major >Avengers happens, the portal opens and while some chitauri fly over we see Tobey as Parker. Shit happens, after a bunch of fighting Spidey joins in helping Cap out, a scene where he webs some Chitauri, gets Cap shield from the ground and lands like in CW, with him a bit starstruck would be a pretty awesome introduction since Tobey's Pete would be a pretty big fan of Steve. Also having Cap giving him something to do would establish how much Pete respects him as a hero like in the comics >Instead of Hulk, let him save Stark, but the movie shouldn't shift the focus to him, so just give him a few scenes and include him in some scenes bonding with the other Avengers, especially the group shot. And shawarma. Without the mask, he trusts them. >Iron Man 3 has Pete working with Tony, establish them being good SCIENCE friends, maybe have him instead of Ruffalo in the post-credits scene >Avengers AoU happens, no Spidey since he's in NY and not an Avenger. >IN CW he joins in with Stark since they're good friends, also establish them working TOGETHER in the Iron Spider suit, but nothing too concrete. He changes his mind since he respects Cap and joins him in the airport battle >Have him fight Vulture in his own movie, even get Michael Keaton i don't give a fuck. >IW he joins in with Tony, he's a bit heartbroken over Pete changing sides in CW but they fight together >Same things happen, Pete is en route to space in the ship, Stark goes to save him and Strange, yadda yadda, loses consciousness and gets the Iron Spider like in the movie, but the design is more like the PS4 one. I liked how it looked more inline with the Stark suit from IW. Rest of the movie kinda goes the same, but he isn't dusted. MJ is tho
Jaxon Perez
>Sandman becomes a superhero in the years post-snap >Publicly adored, friend to children >While Peter falls into a depression, stops quipping until the time heist is underway
Cooper James
>>Last shot is Spidey dejectedly going to fight crime in nothing but his mask and boxers People would get so furious, and then they'd forget about it by the time spidey returns for Age of Ultron
Adrian Scott
>Thanos: Uh, what did you do? >Peter: I created a future for white children. Fuck niggers and fuck Wakanda!
Kayden Jones
tl;dr is: Pete is not an avenger, helps the avengers in the battle of NYC, works with stark, joins him and then changes sides because he respects cap in CW, goes to space with tony, gets the Iron Spider(that he helped create)
Oliver Roberts
>Sorry Cap, my grandpa was the Red Skull.
Elijah Davis
>Eventually Sandman finds peter again in his depressed state. >He takes matters in his hands to help him out.
Blake Howard
>Spider-Man is announced for Civil War >envision all sorts of scenarios where Tony is playfully mocking him over shit like the Spider-Signal and Spider-Tracers >Cap is his personal hero, since Uncle Ben showed him the old serials and comics (hence why his costume is red and blue) >Whole movie he's taking the situation very seriously, much to the amusement of everyone else >He insists on keeping his mask on to protect his secret identity; he gets some shit for it, but they humor him
>Instead we get literally 1 exchange between him and Cap and 5 movies of him licking Tony's balls and that's all we'll ever get >Also there's no Uncle Ben
MCU Spidey is fun and I think Holland is a great actor, but it's not my Spidey. Sony of all places is making the kind of Spidey shit I'm actually into.
Brandon Turner
>People would get so furious I dunno, the Raimi movies got loads of comedy out of Peter being a goober with shitty luck, even after he got his powers.
Christian Gutierrez
>What would his nightmare sequence be about? Plot twist, he breaks out of it by jumping in front of the bullet for ben without hesitation, having already played over the moment hundreds of times in his head.
Adrian Thompson
OP here. I'm gonna do a project inspired by this thread. It won't come out anytime soon, but I'm gonna keep a good chunk of the material in this thread in mind. maybe in 4 months to a year. Currently deepfaking the wife in this movie with Kirsten Dunst
Then the endgame wouldn't be Thanos, it would have been Galactus. OR a stinger implying Thanos knew about Galactus and doing the snap somehow deterred him from showing up.
Samuel Morales
This. I felt the Avengers needed to see Uncle Bean and be the spirit of the MCU.
A Spider and a Black Widow, I dunno, I feel like Pete would be intimidated by her
Hunter Williams
>Uncle Bean goddammit raimi too far.
Lincoln Gray
>Everyone else is just totally immobilized >Peter jumps infront of the bullet >Immediately wakes up >Wanda hasn't even walked away yet >Before she can react, he webs her to the wall >"But how did you?" >"Great responsibility. Leads to... great... power." >Beat, Wanda just looks confused >"Or something like that." >He webs her again for good measure and swings off
John Jenkins
>Uncle Bean >yfw Peter brings his uncle back and it's just Mr Bean
Adam Edwards
He might be since Marvel intended to put Surfer and Galactus in a cameo in GOTG 1.
Hey, that's cool, user! I'll wait for the results anxiously!
Kayden Bell
I thought about this some more and I think there's a lot of different things that could go on if you want a scenario where they started with the Raimi trilogy.
If they started with the Raimi Trilogy then that means they probably get the rights to all the Spider-Man characters back, unless somehow Sony was allowed to use characters that they haven't used yet, like Morbius and Silver Sable.
Spider-Man 3 was already out in 2007 so they might want to wait a few years to do a new one and would still be working on Iron Man. But because Spider-Man is a profitable franchise, the worst case scenario is that Marvel Studios (at this time also with input from Ike) would try to forcibly tie in some other Spider-Man stuff in with all the films.
I think Raimi might not come back to do the fourth film even if it were in the MCU. He'd still have to deal with a lot of requests from producers and such, this time it would be Feige and Ike and his Creative Committee, and it'd remind him of his frustration working on Spider-Man 3.
If Raimi stayed on board (and this would mean Feige really believed in his vision and fought back against the Creative Committee that early) then Spider-Man 4 would involve the Vulture and Mysterio (played by Bruce Campbell), as suggested in the storyboards in planethenderson.com/storyboards/#/spiderman4/ I think it would probably be out the same year as Avengers (taking the place of Amazing Spider-Man), or the year after (which had just Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World). He'd probably be requested to throw in a cameo of another Marvel character.
Justin Young
If Galactus and Surfer show up it would be a cameo in the first Guardians, because that's what they planned to do.
If Marvel Studios had those two a lot of plans might've changed. You can do the Silver Surfer and Galactus on Earth story without the Fantastic Four (they'd just have to take influence from that one Lee/Kirby graphic novel from the 70's). In fact if they keep the story mostly intact and set it in the 70's, it could give them a way to say the Surfer and Galactus had been on Earth once and why they're shown together in GOTG.
Daredevil would be stuck at Fox, but that would only affect the Netflix shows, which Feige seems to be ignoring.
Owen Thomas
I wouldnt mind it. I mean we have to acknowledge these films and a spider verse live adaptation would also mean a Miles Morales.
Noah Baker
And the owner is outside asking for rent.
Isaac Thompson
If you have G and Surer show up in the 70s that would have immense ripples on the MCU. It could lead to an in universe arms race by humanity to develop super beings to thwart G if he comes back
Ayden Moore
Tobey Peter dying would have actually made me cry, I have to admit. Motherfucker was a charming Spider-Man. Spidey is my favourite Marvel superhero, yet I fucking hate everything about him in the MCU. Raimi's and Webb's versions were so much more superior that it hurts
Landon Hernandez
Wonder what wise message Mr.bean would have told to peter.
Jace King
It's the same landowner from before. He says it mechanically, because his daughter who crushed on Pete was dusted
Jayden Sanders
Aww I want her to be babysitter.
Carter Edwards
I thought more about making Maguire!Peter reappear in Civil War, just like the Holland one. Only this Peter would be a high school teacher and depressed after the events of Spider-Man 3, to the point he again quit from the hero gig, this time for years. When Tony goes to him to recruiting him (he put two and two together on his identity by reading the Bugle), Peter is way more distrusting and not impressed at all by Iron Man's presence. >"I became the Spider because someone I cared for died. But people I cared for still died when I was the Spider. So I just asked myself: what's the point? I won't wear the costume again anytime soon, Mr. Stark, especially not for your little squabble with Rogers. Goodbye."
Levi Sullivan
>Tony says something along the lines of when the registration happens and Pete *Will* have to go along with it >He words it poorly and it comes off as him threatening Pete and his family >Pete turns back slowly and glares at Tony >Fight happens
More like a one-sided one-shot, since Tony wouldn't have his armor. >Tony realizes too late what he said and how it sounded, anxiously says "Waitwaitwait that wasn't..." >Tony gets smashed outside through a window. >Gilligan cut where Tony is back to the Avenger base talking to Natasha >"He's busy" >Nat doesn't buy it for a second
Brandon Evans
>Ironman: I don't want to fight you Peter. >Spider-Man: I don't want to fight me either
I would think Tony would be carrying or wearing a suit like the one from the Race on IM2, very cut down
Pete would have developed his Spider Sense and reflexes to such a degree he pulls off a Sherlock scan (shout out to Sherlock since RDJ played him, and is now on the receiving end)
Justin Bennett
>"Stark's suit is heavily armored, but he lacks no upper body strength and he punches without formation" >"Grab his wrist and elbow and throw him over" >"He'll use his repulser cannons without thought, but this is a crowded area. Spray the cannons with your webs" >"Jab and cross towards his hips, weak spots, he designed the suit, but didn't tinker any area besides the crotch, legs, shoulders, back, face, or chest." ."After he tries and get upper ground, spray his face as a distraction and while he uses his metal hands, web his feet and throw him out of here"

Jeremiah Rogers
More important question how would Jameson feel about the avengers and would he blame them and spider-man for the snap?
He would consider all of them heroes because none of them have secret identities.
Carson Price
He'd be a Cap fan boy and pro Avengers. The all have public identities. Bet he'd say "Now these are REAL heroes. The Avengers saved the world with minimal casualties meanwhile Spider-Man nearly blows up NYC with the sun. They should go after that menace one day"
Xavier Campbell
Underrated
Juan Scott
>When IM first shows up he rags on him like he did Spidey >After Tony comes out he flips 180
Elijah Adams
I could actually see Peter and Jameson talking about being in a "post-apocalyptic world" and finally being friends, with Peter disappearing on him Batman style.
I always thought that Maguire Spidey would be on cap’s side during Civil War, especially if Stark pissed him off like this. I could see their fight going a little further and then Stark doing something to piss off Spidey even more and that’s what throws him to Cap’s side, but then there might be too much Spider-Man story in a Cap movie
Blake Adams
Peter would say that Tony can barely protect his loved ones and he has immense wealth. Where does that leave him who don't have near unlimited resources. Aunt May almost died when Goblin knew
Ayden Hall
>In a world that started where a Maguire Parker was immortalized with this end to the character
If Tobey Peter joined Cap’s side during the events of Civil War, would he join them in fighting crime globally underneath the radar of the government? Would Peter be fine with being a war criminal so long as he’s still protecting people?
Aaron Williams
Would Tobey spidey still go into space or would he go to Wakanda with Cap?
I would assume that he'd be unhappy/guilty with the hero work after Civil War and willingly live the rest of his life in New York incognito/do his Spidey work at night
Connor Watson
If he was on Cap's side at the end, then he'd have no reason to go to space or even have a space suit from Stark.
Dominic Cooper
Surprise it's the Hillary timeline
Noah Cruz
He wouldn't be in IW
Jacob Gray
He'd run back to new york, pull off an identity crisis for a couple months (at night), and when the big wheel comes, he decides he can't do this any longer and runs up as Spider-Man
>Right after is a scene where Pete sees Been and May >"Hey Mom, hey Dad." >They walk off into the void, like in Ultimate Spider-Man
David James
>He’d be very strong, and would be a MUCH bigger help than Iron Lad. Holland's Spidey has been shown to be pretty strong though. He literally lifted that plane bridge Cap dropped on him, plus the If this be my destiny moment in Homecoming. >He’d punch Thanos square in the jaw like that one moment from the comics. He did though.
Jose Green
So, if peter is the one that does the snap, what will be tony's ending? He's just gonna be happy ever after, raising morgan? Not that its a bad ending, just that its dull.
Alexander Hall
Iron spider suit gets introduced at civil war. He switches sides during airport battle .Quits at the end of civil war .
He comes back and fights with just mask in newyork because responsibility and shit . Fight goes almost same . When peter goes to space Iron spider 2.0 comes and saves him. This time Tony and Peter goes into space ship together as friends.
Mason Clark
Turns out the cosmic cube was being transferred from up north to down south in the 90s and Spiderman along with the avengers have to go get it and there is a scene where Peter gets to talk to a younger Ben rather than Tony and his dad
Gabriel Foster
In this version, Tony never had the dream of becoming a father. & he ends up director of Shield. He’ll die saving the day in the skrull uprising
Camden Rogers
That's underwhelming, specially when Ironman would have more or less the same popularity as spiderman.
Tyler Diaz
Best one.
Isaiah Jackson
I both love and fucking hate this thread. We really do live in the worst timeline.
evil dead tv show, crumby wizard of oz picture for didney, and minor involvement with the evil dead reboot that went nowhere. Which brings up the question, especially concerning the capeshit craze of the 2010s, why didnt raimi return to darkman or someshit? Or produce that shadow movie he's been wanting to do?
Jordan Morgan
I like raimi spiderman. but I hate organic web shooters.
Josiah Ross
Are you really going to choose web shooting aesthetics over legitimate characterization though? Be smart about this one lad.
Adam Gomez
How about Felicia is Peter's student at ESU? For extra teacher kink
Joshua Johnson
>I forgive you.
Nathaniel Foster
I always organic shooters more.
Tyler Cooper
I am ok with that as long as they dont do synergy in comics.
Cooper Peterson
>expecting that to be the case in today's world oof
Jordan Turner
They already tried organic web-shooting in comics right?
Joshua White
They did (around the time of Disassembled), and they got rid of it for BND (though I think the claim from editorial at the time was that Peter forgot he had the organic web shooters).
This actually brings up another point, if they got the rights to the Raimi films would they have kept the organic webshooters in the comics or not?
Jackson Green
Wasn't that when he went into that cacoon
Jose Cox
I always thought if Peter and Stark became science bros along with Bruce then they could assist Peter in developing web shooters. >What are you working on Parker? Something to replace the sticky white fluid you shoot from your body? >Not exactly. I have these powers, and they work wonders, but once I lost them, and if I come up short in the wrong moment, things could get really bad for me quickly. >So what are you working on then? >I’m thinking about a way to have mechanical webshooters, in case I ever find myself in another scenario where- >Where you can’t get it up. Gotcha. Well lucky for you, mechanical engineering is kind of my thing. Then just have stark assist Peter in making them and bam, mechanical webshooters.
Ian Fisher
I would have liked it but at the same time, thank god it will never happen. I can already imagine the shitty memes we would have had. youtube.com/watch?v=vuziQsUrbeM
Juan Thompson
>Nice... Gauntlet... Did your husband.... Make that for you?
Isaac Ross
Ehhh... everything has shitty memes regardless of how well the movie was.
Angel Jackson
Probably.
Isaiah Moore
I think it was Thomas Jane's stunt double. Someone on IMDB denies it was intended to be Punisher but there's no source and Sony would have to legally say that anyway.
Carson Wright
>P:Because it was his responsibil..ity Fuck you, user....
Yeah after being fucked into a literal giant spider.
Ayden Jenkins
Maybe Spidey is the Uncle Ben for Tony, and Tony has one longer chance to grow and be redeemed, without becoming a father Tony Stark's arc is a selfish man growing selfless. Yes, you can give him the sacrifice of life, but I feel like when you have this hypothetical universe where Spider-Man is the lead, I feel like we need to keep in mind. >Tony and Steve are basically opposites, selfish vs selfless, while Peter could be written as a mediator. A man whose walked both the lines of being selfish and the lines of being selfless. Power and responsibility. >When the bombing in lagos happened, Tony adapted falsely. Deciding to go alongside the accords, willingly, but not understanding the rights and overall throwing the accords away and getting angry over Bucky, who killed his dad over mindcontrol. Stark knew this, but let his self instincts get in the way. Steve fought but came out the same We cut to Infinity War, where Stark has so much going for him, but is still the same emotionally and thoughtfully, making Civil War null. I think Spidey would take the battle in Civil War the wrong way as well, but he wouldn't be stubbornly ignoring the faults, because he has no knowledge of it. He feels betrayed by Stark and the hero world. So Spidey going into space could be him realizing that Stark is trying to redeem himself. Forgiveness If Spider-Man sacrifices himself for the world, after he and Tony lost together in IW, maybe Tony would understand his faults. He comes to the realization that with great power comes great responsibility, and that he can guide a new generation of heroes as Director of Shield, passing the torch in a way that's more hands on. And when it hits dark, he knows that he's the only one who can make it bright again.
I think the problem is, if he's fighting in Civil War on Cap's side, the chance of him getting arrested is high. And even assuming he gets away, where does he go? Government agents are probably aware of who he is by that point. I guess in that scenario the next Spider-Man movie would be him on the run trying to fight crime while evading Iron Man and law enforcement, probably a combination of Spiderhunt and post-Civil War comic Spider-Man. Someone else can expand on that.
There was the idea mentioned earlier about how Peter could be injured in Age of Ultron while Miles takes the place of Holland Peter (after being established in Spider-Man 4 or 5). That way, Peter may have wanted to join up with Cap but couldn't because he's still out of the game. Miles and Peter could still be outside of government interference since they're still hanging around New York.
Miles gets to be the one in Infinity War and gets snapped. In Endgame we find out Mary Jane got snapped, too. Peter is pissed (unfairly) at Tony for losing Miles, and leaves the Avengers, cutting off all contact with them.
You can also incorporate and Avengers feel they need to get Peter for some reason (maybe because he has Spider-Sense), they find out Spider-Man's been kind of brutal in the past few years on what video footage they could find. Later they find Sandman (who's also been called upon to babysit Mayday), who tells the Avengers that Peter's not willing to talk to them. Peter and JJJ are at some coffee shop discussing things (or at least JJJ is the one doing most of the talking), at this point JJJ knows he's Spider-Man.
Peter is spurred back into action like in After Miles comes back to life he's finding it hard to live up to Peter's legacy rather than Stark's.
Ryan Gray
People were sad about stark but god damn if Tobey was there at the start of the MCU and he sacrificed himself instead of Tony, there’d be grown men bawling their eyes out all over the world
Jason Gutierrez
Damn straight. I mean like it's probably the equivalent of the marvel universe where kids grew up cheering for Spidey all their lives and finally reaching adulthood and seeing in the newspapers that Spider-Man sacrificed his life for the world.
The Spider-Man movies take place before Iron Man 1 right?
Isaiah Stewart
Was gonna post that next. Love the idea that Peter and Corvo look alike. Makes the idea of an older Peter way more handsome. Old and still a badass is what I love. Bonus points if you mix it with the Last Stand suit.
Tobey was already sacrificed for TASM and MCU. I bawled my eyes out whenever Spider-Man 3 ends after a binging of the trilogy again.
Liam Torres
Who plays Miles? I would say Shamiek Moore, the voice of Miles in Spider-Verse but he's too old, even by 2014. Skylan Brooks was really good with Shamek in the Get Down but he's too tall, I dunno
He's already 17. He'll be way too old to play Miles by the time they introduce him at the beginning of his Spider-Man career.
Xavier Flores
How 'bout this? Lets say that Miles is introduced in 2013 and is in Civil War by 2015, he'd have to be middle school-high school sophmore age range. Don't think of now, think of then
Parker Thompson
bump
Lincoln Diaz
What if Disney does a Spiderman Multiverse Live Action Movie with Tobey as one of the alternative spiderman.
Noah Lewis
Like Spider-Verse?
Justin Parker
Like that but built up for almost 20 years.
William Myers
Here's a little outline for Spider-Tobey in the MCU
Incredible Hulk >Peter Parker makes a brief cameo
Spider-Man 4 >Comes out in 2010 >Has Carnage as the main villain, with Black Cat as an ally >Tackles how Spider-Man has to adjust to a world where he's not the only superhero
Iron Man 2 >A young Miles appears as the kid in the Iron Man mask
The Avengers >Spider-Man appears near the end of the film as part of a climax, but expresses that he doesn't want to be a part of their team
Spider-Man 5 >Comes out in 2012 >Main villain is the Lizard >Subplot about Peter discovering his parents were SHIELD agents
Winter Soldier >Sitwell mentions Peter Parker as one of Project Insight's targets
Spider-Man 6 >Comes out in 2014 >Villain is the Hobgoblin and Electro >Electro is a sympathetic figure who is tempted by Hobgoblin to become a supervillain >Peter rekindles his old friendship with Gwen, but she is killed by Hobgoblin at the end >May Parker is born at the end of the movie >How did Miles getting his powers. >The last solo Tobey Maguire movie
Age of Ultron >Peter and MJ are invited to the party at Stark Tower >Spider-Man joins the Avengers in their journey to stop Ultron >Seeks advice on fatherhood from Hawkeye
Michael Rogers
Civil War >Joins Iron Man's side, but only because he doesn't want to be a criminal. Secretly acts as a double agent. >Miles is recruited to Tony's side, which enrages Peter. Peter eventually goes to Berlin to get Miles out of the airport fight. >Helps Cap rescue the prisoners in the Raft at the end.
Doctor Strange >Since we hear Dr. Strange's name mentioned in Spider-Man 2, Doctor Strange now takes place during the early 2000's before Spider-Man 2
Homecoming >Basically the same except Miles is Peter >Both Iron Man and Spider-Man are mentor figures, but it's pretty clear that Tony and Peter hate eachother at this point >Peter is pushing him to go after Vulture, while Tony is advising that he doesn't like in the movie
Infinity War >Peter follows Miles to the battle at Greenwich Village. Tony begrudgingly asks Peter to go with him to Titan, and they both order Miles to stay home and let the adults do their job. They realize that they both care about Miles, which is sort of the start of them being bros again. >Both Miles and Peter get Iron Spider suits, with Peter's resembling the one from the comics >Miles is dusted in Peter's arms.
Endgame >Peter now has a second child, an infant son named Benjy. >He and Tony are closer then ever, bonding over their families and how they both lost Miles. >Peter dies in Tony's place. >Tony retires as Iron Man and he uses most of his funds to start the Peter Parker Foundation, which helps lower-class kids in New York.
I agree with his role on Avengers 1 and 2 but I'd have him join Cap's side on Civil War on the airport fight and be the one to rescue Wanda from Avengers HQ and at the end of the movie he'd be placed under house arrest leading to him being out of Infinity War. Also think there's no need for an Iron Lad character in this version, Infinity War can still work without Spidey
Michael Nelson
I think only the MTV show has a connection to Affleck's Daredevil (MCD Kingpin). The trilogy as a whole doesn't because the MTV show only uses the first movie as a starting point then does its own thing (which isn't compatible with 2 and 3).
Liam Martin
The crying would be insane... Goddamit, why did this not happen?
Dylan Watson
The easiest solution would be that Peter doesn't side with neither of them, because a hero vs hero fight certainly isn't qualified as responsability.
Alexander Parker
It'll be fucking garbage.
Lincoln Lee
He'd stay with Cap all the way.
Christian Clark
>Peter snaps his fingers and gets a Soul Stone scene with Uncle Ben
Jayden Reed
You know, with JK Simmons being JJJ again, they could have Tobey as a cameo like Stan Lee's in Spider-Man 3, or if they ever wanted to do the Spider-totem stuff they could have him as Ezekiel Sims
Josiah Bell
Given Endgame and Aunt May's actress, I'd say that the soul stone would have Ben and May but with younger actors.
Easton Hughes
Fuck. I hope there’s a live action spider-verse. Reading this makes me sad.
James Peterson
>Sean Bean as Uncle Ben >he dies AGAIN
Adam Bailey
Bringing back JK while trying to make their thing completely separate from raimi's just feels cheap.
Bentley Williams
>Tony still gets to retire with his family >Cap can also go back in time
Would this end on a stinger where Miles takes up the mantle? or even using an animated film like Spiderverse as a segue way into the next phase?
Grayson King
Have May born right before 2010 and have it be a subplot
Logan Howard
This is the worst timeline.
Nicholas Perez
Imagine Willem Dafoe coming back to life as Norman Osborne somehow, wearing rags, his face veiny and light grey/green, his glider torn up and upgraded into something bigger. Maybe he's a failed clone?
Henry Harris
Like an adaptation of Goblin nation?
Thomas Bennett
>You'll get your resources when you fix this damn gauntlet
Luis Evans
>ITT: great ideas on paper but probably not in action
>Thanos mocks his webs in Infinity War >Peter steals the Gauntlet from Thanos with a web at the finale of Endgame
Cooper Hill
Hobgoblin?
Have May born not long ASAP after 3, so we can her to be Miles sidekick after IW
Jack Stewart
>Nice gauntlet, did your HUSBAND make it for you?
Julian Thompson
Here’s a thought. If Raimi Spider-Man was bought out post Spider-Man 3, Spectacular Spider-Man May or may not had been cancelled. And if so, the 3rd season would either been a continuation, a movie synergy rework, canceled after 3 seasons, or rebooted with Earth Mightiest Heroes
Nolan Anderson
Husbando mind
Lincoln Thompson
There are a lot of good ideas in this thread but the idea of a Spiderman five and six isn’t one of them
Luke King
An arc about a loser becoming a hero is basic. But an arc about a loser becoming a hero, hitting multiple struggles, befriending heroes only to find out that they are troubled and then sacrificing himself for the universe is amazing God bless you all
Charles Taylor
Threads and posts like these are what makes co so great.
I’ll keep these bookmarked to remember what could have been. Maybe in another reality.
Jonathan Martin
>Thanks holds him by the throat >Pete shots webs down Thanos' throat like how he threatened Kingpin in the comics
Leo Williams
I don't think they should've done that, but realistically Marvel Studios and Entertainment and Disney would demand it for as long as the films do well.
Owen Wood
If Raimi was still on board with Spider-Man 4 it might've been possible that Peter and MJ have a kid.
Gavin Thomas
would they though? they stopped Iron Man at 3 even though it was doing a lot of money
James Wright
The main reason comes from how Spider-Man does well in merchandise for them, there was that point in I think 2013 where the merchandise sales were totaled up and while Avengers was gaining ground, Spider-Man was still outperforming it. And that's under the ASM time period.
Landon Allen
Aunt may would've been snapped and it would make him either super sad or super angry, thus giving a shot to the symbiote again
Liam Harris
Even though the actress who played her isn’t dead. I feel like it would be smart to let the character rest after Spider-Man 4
Ethan Perez
>Tobey-Spidey does the snap >Every jew on earth fades away alongside Thanos and his army How does Sam Raimi managed to include this in the movie lads?
Nathan Nguyen
I will do a better one. How would the Avengers movies be if Sam Raimi was the director?
Juan Cooper
How strong is Tobey's Spidey compared to the rest of MCU? Would be be able to beat Captain America?
Angel Turner
Yea Forums jokes aside, I think they would be visually superior to the MCU versions.
Caleb Long
they would have much better cinematography and lighting. dialogue might actually be funny and/or in character
Dominic Torres
How do people have such distorted memories of those movies. That Peter was way too much of a wimp to lead anyone, let alone Cap and Tony.
Zachary Morris
That's some seriously heavy handed shit.
Robert Murphy
>I wonder if Bendis would have wanted royalties It's anyone's guess.
Brody Diaz
It's baffling to me that MJ becoming a capeshit actress isn't a more common story point.
Jordan Long
Not Bendis, I wondered if Feige would've wanted to use Miles if he broke away from the group that had Bendis on it.
Logan Green
Aside from grandiloquent speeches about humanity they really aren't that similar.
I’m rewatching the Raimi trilogy, and I love the change in cinematography from 1-3 1: reds 2:oranges and high contrast 3:Blues and blacks
Evan Thompson
>Carnage is the name Kletus Cassidy gives himself after losing himself with his Symbiote >He's part of the same project Flash is, they've gone on missions together >Backstory is he's a former prisoner in for murders drafted into the military, he's later drafted into the Project as an expendable asset to test the Symbiotes >He bonfds spectacularly with his, it even changes color to a dried blood red >He goes mad with it, the project handlers blow the bomb placed in him, but he comes back thanks to how merged the to are >It's up to Flash and Venom/Mania to stop Carnage and keep it all under wraps
Evan Morales
>that early footage of Spider-Man 1 featured at E3 and in the game where raimi-man is checking out his webshooters i wonder why they decided to get rid of them at the last minute
They couldn't do the lame erectile dysfunction subplot from 2 as well with webshooters. I mean they could, but without "he can't shoot white goo from his body anymore".
Cameron King
a lot of the movie would be different too. how would the cafeteria scene play out? maybe the shooters were just a mean to control the webbing?
Xavier Davis
>Without the shooters the webbing comes out uneven, less range and Pete can't control how much he lets out
Cameron Murphy
Another scene that would be impacted would be the finding out about his powers one. No "shazam" stuff, which would be a shame.
Jeremiah Rodriguez
one way it could've been done is by doing the exact same thing only for him to realize that he actually can't shoot webs and feel like a retard, which leads to him inventing the shooters.
I imagined that you could still have Miles still be a mentor for May if she's born in 2014. We just wouldn't have a movie with Spider-Girl in it until the 2030s.
The reason I put in Five and Six was to give Peter more development outside of just team up movies. I imagine you could sort of split these movies into two trilogies; one covering Peter's early years, the other covering Peter's life in a world where superheroes are much more common.
But as , they probably would've just done it to get more money.
Adrian Edwards
Lets say that for whatever reason Marvel decides to do One more day in the classic MCU fashion (as in they use only the name for its inherent value and the plot is just a series of vague guidelines). How would it go? I'm guessing that it would be a team up movie with peter and Strange and peter at the beginning tries to make the deal with mephisto, but at the end he backs away and stays with aunt may until she passes away surrounded by her loved ones.
Carson Thomas
Let’s add the first FoX-Men movies as well
Jonathan Martin
How do you even bring Tobey into the MCU?
do a timeskip in the mcu an introduce Tobey as an older peter? Multi-verse saga? Clone saga?
I feel like unless you find a work around to get his version of Spidey into the mcu it wouldn't be satisfying.
Carter Garcia
do the into the spiderverse explanation >"'m a spiderman from another dimension" Boom, done.
Levi Ward
Any movie pre Avengers didn't take place in modern new york. Incredible Hulk became ignored in all adverts for phases 2-3, so introduce him like normal
If the MCU started since then with Spider-Man being the main characters (as in how iron Man is to the MCU) Toby Maguire would be the richest actor ever and Spidey the most well known hero ever created
Nathan Foster
Maybe he can retire after this. Rather them him and Pepper having a child in the time skip, they relationship is almost ruined because he focus so much in trying to undo the snap. After Peter dies, he reconsile with her, and retire, quite like Cap.
Julian Wilson
>Spidey the most well known hero ever He almost is. The only problem is comic sales, he’s top 3 in every comic sale in every 1st world continent, except for Japan
>Holland's Spidey has been shown to be pretty strong though. He literally lifted that plane bridge Cap dropped on him,
That's fucking nothing compared to a guy who can stop a train.
Luis Reed
IT'S YOU WHO'S OUT, THANOS
Zachary Powell
>depressed Peter is basically Kaine
Alexander Nguyen
He would probably end up in space, having intervened during the fight in NY.
Angel Campbell
lel
Nolan Garcia
Holy fuck this would've been too kino for consumption
Luke Murphy
No it's >Kaine is Peter but angry
Owen Powell
Iron man was damn good in the MCU but it’s good to think about a universe where it revolved around spider-man instead Especially toby’s since he never actually got the end he deserved
Liam Russell
What else could he say
Isaiah Sullivan
Reading all this makes me fucking sad Especially the posts about him in endgame
Andrew Carter
>Thanos: "I am inevitable." >Peter: "Well...So's rent"
Xavier King
I really hope they can keep holland around for another decade. At this pont he's all we've got and I just wanna hope that they build him up to be a strong character.
Cameron Ramirez
No, faggot holland wanker.
Nathaniel Torres
What do you propose then? He's already been in 5 movies. Inless they kill him off or replace him in sm3 which us highly unlikely I don't know what else to do other than hope he gets better.
Aaron Martinez
You calling Raimi trilogy basic?
Benjamin Sullivan
Butthurt holland fanboy
Asher Adams
That is good, but what about RDJ? How will he exit out ensuring no future cameos?
Nicholas Price
He either either gets permakilled at the end of infinity war when Thanos stabs him, or he gets permakilled during endgame. Alternatively he just retires and only supports the avengers/shield from the shadows financially. Maybe even becomes the new shield director.
Colton Cruz
>Thanos: "I am inevitable." > >Peter: "Who am I?.........I'm Spider-Man" >*Snap*
Add in a "who are you?" at the end like..
Thanos: "I am inevitable. Who are you?" *Failed snap* Peter: "Who am I?.........I'm Spider-Man" *Snap*
Jayden Russell
>'Hey, Peter Parker, you got something for me?" >"I'm spoken for."
