Scott may have leaked an SDCC announcement early. Seems like Bendis is a big Jurgen fan between this, LoSH and Supes
Booster Gold by Bendis and Nicola Scott
$10 says Bendis uses this to de-age Jon
bendis is a fucking stupid head
>Scott may have leaked an SDCC announcement early.
No, she didn't. Her Booster Good story was announced alongside the LoSH thing. There was even a preview page.
Oh I'm fucking retarded then.
How many books is Bendis going to be writing?
It can't be worse than Kings Booster. It's only up from here.
Wanna bet?
>Nicola Scott drawing Booster Gold
Neat
I know it's Bendis, but still.
>Scott paints a Bright FUture for BLACK MAGICK
>which she's not going to be working on while she pays her rent with Bendis just like she didn't work on it while paying her rent with Wonder Woman.
I honestly don't know how they expect this thing to have any sales at all given that the first arc was so fucking slow and it's been over a year since the second volume came out.
Also: outside of the very pretty artwork it's GENERIC AS FUCK in every fucking way.
BENDIS HYPE. DC is so smart.
DC sure loves Bendis.
NO! ENOUGH! ENOUGH BENDIS! He already has too many titles to ruin!
>Nicola Scott is now Bendis cancer.
>Bendis
>Making a good decision.
You’re on.
Rucka is doing the Lois Lane mini (and probably some other unannounced shit forr DC) so it's likely he is not going to be able to give her any scripts to work on and the book is probably going to be stalled.
>Bendis can’t do any worse at DC, now that he’s left Marvel its only up from here
I can’t believe people are still saying this kind of thing
At least the art will be good
As many as it takes to ruin DC
All of them, once they're done DC comics is gonna change into BC comics (Bendis Comics comics)
It's not a matter of Bendis doing better than at Marvel, it's him somehow outdoing King. I genuinely believe that King has written the worst Booster incarnation and that Bendis can only do better from here. He wasn't this depressed/retarded in Extreme Justice and that was when he was angsty over getting his ass beat by Doomsday, nearly losing Ted and Skeets going offline.
First HiC and now this. It's been a bad year or two for ol' Booster.
This.
He is going to be writing ten books eventually.
Action Comics
Superman
Young Justice
LoSH
Naomi
Pearl
Scarlet & Murder Inc but I don't know if those are reprints or not
This is not sane
I disagree, while King’s short arc with Booster may have been bad, it’s not Bendis levels of bad and I believe Bendis will do far worse with the character given the amount of freedom DC has granted him. Say what you will about King handling Batman, but just remember that Bendis ran a number of great comic franchises into the ground including X-Men and Avengers
>Say what you will about King handling Batman, but just remember that Bendis ran a number of great comic franchises into the ground including X-Men and Avengers
Despite what people say, Bendis' early New Avengers stuff was actually fairly serviceable. My only real problem with it is that it turned the Avengers into "A-List Squad" when it used to be a refuge for the D and C-listers. It's when he got a big head that it started going down the shitter and this just happened to coincide with him setting up AvX and then moving onto the X-Men.
The worst I expect out of him is to just recycle his "The Hood controlling a secret villain cadre" concept again like he does with every new book he gets on or introducing Naomi or some new black kid to be his time partner and completely forgetting about his sister.
Oh it's plenty sane. Just lazy. A good writer will do one book, MAYBE two, and spend the month revising and editing their script so they know they've got gold when they hand it off to the penciller.
But this isn't a good writer we're dealing with.
STOP FUCKING GIVING BENDIS BOOKS. That said, he's basically DC editorial's Booster Gold, so maybe it's a match made in heaven.
>Pearl
>Scarlet & Murder Inc but I don't know if those are reprints or not
Pearl's done at 10, and Murder Inc/Scarlet are also done for now.
Murder Inc got optioned for a movie, so there's probably more in the future.
"Season One" of Naomi is finished, and any continuation has not been solicited.
So right now he has
>Action Comics
>Superman
>Young Justice
and
>Millennium (2 issues) -->LoSH
*Pearl is done at #12
His Avengers would charitably be serviceable all the way up to Siege. Anything post-Siege was a bigger waste of time. If he had done the storyarc where Wasp was brought back to life right after that as an epilogue and didn't do anything else, I think his Avengers run would've been regarded more highly.
>Pearl
>Scarlet & Murder Inc but I don't know if those are reprints or not
These would be his creator-owned work which he can place aside if he needs to.
And I do think he'll have to leave the Superman books at some point because sales haven't really seen a significant boost. He could do some stunt to raise interest, but what I've noticed is that with X-Men and GOTG and Iron Man his stunts haven't gained much long-term interest, and in fact might've hurt the books somewhat.
Why does he get all the good stuff?
All those characters and teams that have been off the table for years now and they basically throw it at him when he jumped ship.
Can't even imagine all the pitches they've rejected over the years
He still has a fanbase even if I don't think it's as prominent as it was in the 00's. They're still loyal though.
Johns already did it
Booster is the only good Jurgens creation, arguably only slightly because of him, and is routinely written like shit by people that handle characters the same way Jurgens does. It's almost poetic.
Yeah, look at how well Naomi sells!
Scott is quietly a top tier mommy.
Naomi was a pretty big hit?
It has floated around #100 for its entire run. Considering how pushed it was that's awful.
>Advertised in nearly every book.
>Bendis comic.
>Sells worse than Nu52 equivalent, Pandora.
lol
I guess this explains the Booster omni.
Is the original Booster good? I really liked the Johns series, and I never sprang for the Showcase because it's gotten too expensive to gamble on.
I wish but he won't.
>>Sells worse than Nu52 equivalent, Pandora.
This is hard to judge so far because for some reason there are people who are paying $30-40 for Naomi #1 which didn't happen for Pandora's first appearance or the first issue of her ongoing. I also don't know what spurred on the interest in Naomi.
Jesus christ. I hope he ruins them into the ground even more. We need another crash.
>there are people who are paying $30-40 for Naomi #1 which didn't happen
It had really weak sales for the #1. When it became clear that Bendis has bigger plans for her, the price spiked as people tried to get first appearances
I like Bendis.
>He still has a fanbase even if I don't think it's as prominent as it was in the 00's. They're still loyal though.
No. He sells terribly. The only reason he is getting so many books is because Johns and Didio had a falling out over Rebirth.
