Probably the most in depth information about the new shorts to date

Probably the most in depth information about the new shorts to date.
>Each short is created from scratch such as Daffy and Porky's homes being different each short
>The violence isn't toned down
>The humor can be pretty dark, or at least darker than what one might expect from a Looney Tunes reboot in 2019
>The shorts don't go out of their way to pander to modern sensibilities
>Bugs Bunny is a trickster character rather than a designated good guy
>10 films were shown at the festival. Wikipedia lists only 8
>There's a short where Bugs plays basketball against a monster that not so subtly riffs on Space Jam
>Curse of the Monkey Bird is a Daffy/Porky episode
>There's a cameo appearance of the Gas-House Gorillas, a baseball team from an old Bugs Bunny short. Petunia Pig and Cicero Pug (Porky's cousin) are also confirmed to show up eventually which shows they're really willing to dig down deep and bring back some obscure characters
>Marvin, Taz, Beaky Buzzard, and other more well known characters will be back too, but don't seem to appear in the 10 shown
>Upcoming/unfinished episodes include one where Elmer tries to grow hair, Bugs fights Taz in the Roman Coliseum, and Bugs teaches Buzzard to hunt rabbits
The future's looking bright, boys.

Sounds great, but why would they need to rip off Space Jam? They own the characters, might as well cut out the middleman and put in the actual Monstars for the short.

They made a hybrid of egg head and elmer, cool

>A fantastic bit features Porky trying to prevent Daffy from making footsteps on wet cement which goes on for a good four minutes and is all done in one shot.

Either some crazy nonsense about rights to the movie or specific things in it (my guess would be something related to the other guys who played with jordan since the monstars had their skills) or just to make sure they wouldn't get shit since space jam 2 is still being made (i think).

>There's likely a version of this where they drew this penis

According to the Space Jam comcept art Lola Bunny doesn't have genitals either so it's only fair.

RIP Lolaposters

>There's a short where Bugs plays basketball against a monster that not so subtly riffs on Space Jam
It's going to be cartoon that Chuck Jones said how he would've done Space Jam, isn't it

The pink nose is pretty distracting to me, but that is how he looked in his early shorts.

This all seems amazing. Which just means its gonna hurt even more when WB inevitably screws it up somehow.

I want the instant martians to return.

If anything I suspect that purists will claim that it's too dark and Ren & Stimpy like.
There where one or two shorts where I couldn't remember the originals being that visceral.

Incredible news, honestly a fucking miracle and if this takes off this might be the shot heard round the world to take us back to quality programming. Remember, Warner Bros. runs Cartoon Network now.

Assuming they release it on places people will actually be able to watch it on.

Fingers crossed.

>inb4 it gets released on Boomerang as an exclusive
