...Not have a lot of game footage? Minecraft took off because people could run it on their computers AND record it, and then when they did Yogscast and the like turned it into the breakout hit it was, it's not like they pushed animation to the front, it was just that this was in the Newgrounds era when people were moving over from that kind of stuff and its what they were used to.
