4 is worse then Cars 2 and by far the worst thing Toy Story ever made
Not even close, Hoss.
No way 4 is above anything.
This.
Thank you. Toy Story 3 is awful.
Finally, a man of patrician taste! The faulty ending of 3 always bothered me and it's strange how people are now willing to overlook how 3 doesn't actually address the themes of finality it presents. 4 is probably the best film Pixar's made in the last decade. Not saying it's on-par with most of their films from the early days, but its a real throwback to what they used to be great at
2 > 1 > 3 > 4
People rating 4 high is just bait, right?
Disney really needs the ticket sales.
Elaborate.
Fuck nah.
1 = 2 > 3 >>>>>>>>>> 4
3 is a movie about finality, the acceptance of unwanted change, and death. Andy grows up. The toys are no longer wanted and are going to be put in storage up in the attic where they are going to never be played with ever again. Some of them are even gone, such as Bo Peep, to further bolster down a sense of fleetingness to the situation. Anyone can become "lost", and ultimately each toy knows that they will one day have to approach their end. The main conflict comes through the paradise that is the preschool which is, if you pardon the cheesy comparison, a heaven-like place. It's where their dreams of being played with forever is possible and everything is right. None of the toys can accept that they're done being play things. Nobody wants to "die" until the very end during the garbage dump incinerator scene where they make a sort-of peace with their end. Everyone holds their hands as they approach the engulfing flame, taking comfort in each other's presence. They are a family through and through. They've accepted the good times are over and are now there with each other until the very end. But then they get saved and Andy gives the toys to Bonnie, which is a reset to the entire arc they were presented with in the first place. Woody and Buzz get to live out the wonder years without having to face the consequences of their actions. This is something Toy Story 2 even brings up with Woody recognizing that Andy will eventually have to grow up but being glad he'll be there to watch it happen. Nobody gets over anything and Bonnie is a surrogate Andy in terms of her function to the main cast. Hence why it makes sense that 4 plays up Woody's insecurities. Everyone is out of their element and Woody is relying on the times he had with Andy to guide him, but he still hasn't gotten over Andy. The fact that they build up on Toy Story 3's problems is brilliant and makes perfect sense for Woody's Arc. Anyone who thinks 4 is shit should probably rewatch all of the movies
You convinced me to watch 4 bitch nigga
Right now Roger Ebert must have the biggest boner on the atheist not paradise quantum backup
Ok,now I'm gonna see You $tory 4
(Pirate of course,because only the plot matters)
Good! Form your own opinions!
Not sure what that is, but cool! All I know is that the ending of 3 is bullshit and that Toy Story 4 gives conclusion to the themes brought up in 3 NGL, I wasn't completely in love with how they ended Woody being a lost toy since it seemed a little too out-there for the franchise, but it did work in service to the plot and provided a justifiable end to the character without flat out killing him. But all in all, it was well executed and that's all that really matters

I liked Woody leaving because it was a pay off to how he wasn't needed anymore by Bonnie and he needed to move on from Andy. It's better to move on completely instead of trying to find a replacement and pretend like everything is ok.
Oh yeah, I totally agree that it's the proper way to end his character but something about him becoming this travelling circus figure who goes around helping every toy find their owner is a little too perfect for my taste. Maybe it's just the carnival dressing to the whole thing, but it was a bit too sugary sweet. Then again, the only other direction you could go is killing him and something tells me that wouldn't fly with Disney
2 >=1 > 3 >> 4
2 did things that no animated movie has done or ever will do
yeah I actually didn't need the credit scenes at all. They seemed pointless
Really? I rather liked the rabbit and ducky ones. And it did give a breath of relief to what was
a pretty emotionally heavy ending. TS2 did a similar thing with the deleted scenes. Man, I wish more Pixar films did that. Those were such a neat way to end the movie on
