So him killing Chamber is not unbelievable.

Anyone else think that Hickman or Rosenberg might kill Cannonball and Smasher's kid next? Given their current track record, I wouldn't put it pass them to do it.

The problem is that it is posited that Harpoon stabbing Chamber in the chest killed him, but that should realistically be the same as him getting stabbed in the leg. He doesn’t have internal organs.

That's been a problem for a few years before this story. Bringing back Xavier, Jean, Scott, and even Logan didn't help sales, so what we're seeing now is a dying franchise attempting to attract attention with shock stunts like AU crackships and killing a lot of characters. That hasn't worked either, so everything is staked on Hickman to save the X-Men or bury them.
