Why are they talking about crummy books, when they could be fetching a pail of water?
how many gigabytes of ram does it have though.
Big Water didn't get to them yet.
dont care, but why are braces so hot?
extra characters? to the words??
ya, lik i thnk dey meen sumthin lik u c n da library
Are you the fag who forced Braceface R34 into existence?
they brought it onto themselves with the breast expansion episode.
>forced Braceface R34
user, the show has an episode dedicated to breast expansion
if you think r34 was forced, you don't belong on Yea Forums
An adult man with braces kept making eye contact with me and I got flustered.
Feels weird to like a thing that's almost pedo exclusive when I'm not a pedo.
I'd look up braces stuff, but I'm scared that it's all kids.
BOOKS GOOD
SMARTPHONES BAD
what if she's reading books on her phone
why is the guy in a wheelchair btw
Terminal scoliosis. Can you imagine weight of this bookshelf sticking out of his head?
nobody got smart spending their day on a smartphone, though. Education statistics are dropping like a rock despite the program literally being simpler than ever at every level.
The girl looks blissfully in love, the old man looks positively miserable.
>what if she's reading books on her phone
That's the epitome of "I would totally if I really wanted" bullshit that literally never EVER happens.
He was fucking around in a library and fell off of one of those wheelie ladders.
That has more to do with our terrible education practices relative to the rest of the world
smartphones aren't the reason why kids are getting dumber, it's because we haven't changed how we educate children in the past 200 years
I will say with books you get the knowledge you're looking for.
On the net you somehow through osmosis get a vague understanding of the rise and fall of some black guy who over-reacted to smash characters even when that's not necessarily what you want.
>he's old so he's suppose to have a brain
>reading without reading glasses
>oldfag actually reading
>ruining his posture while being a crippled
>book tumor
Since you can get ebooks from the library I like to open reference books on my phone to verify and expand upon shit I read in physical books.
can boomers do anything good? even I must fix them
>book tumor
kek
the dad's design angers me, i don't know why
>not a WATER edit
You didn’t fix jack shit
Maybe because he has an eye where ear should be?
>nobody got smart spending their day on a smartphone
I literally learned more stuff reading wikipedia and watching Youtube Edutainment™ Videos than my physics, maths and biology teachers ever taught me combined.
Their collective approach to education was "here, solve this problem THIS EXACT WAY. Don't ask why, just memorize it. Don't try to come up with an alternative ways of solving it, you'll get punished. Being curious or showing initiative is 'rewarded' with extra homework.
Is almost like the author gave up with him
We can clean it up further.
>You are old and about to die.
Why do boomers hate young people and technology so much?
what Youtube educationnal channels does Yea Forums watch
here are mine:
national geographic (history, science)
langfocus (linguistics)
geography now (geography)
ted ed (history, philosophy)
sparksnote (litterature)
masaman (anthropology)
insider (technology, business)
deep look (science)
discovery tv (nature)
I haven't played Pokemon ever. Is fishing on a hill something characters do? Because hils aren't usually that fishy.
>people who don't do it like me are dumb
Funny bald glasses man card tricks and geometry
vsauce or doug walker ?
QUICK ABANDON THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN HOLD THOUSANDS OF BOOKS AT ONCE
>it's good it's TECHNOLOGYYYYYY it's NEW AND BETTER
the choice of avatar for this post is embarassing.
JC Denton WAS the new tech, and he ends up becoming transhuman cybergod jesus.
they are used to different ways and generally don't accept principles that shaped them to change for younger generations.
the world is changing pretty rapidly for boomers too, they are used to a slower pace in moving forward
It will hurt at first, but soon we'll be one.
I still don't understand the eternal butthurt over a mobile video game
>ywn have a phone-facehugger hybrid as a pet
Why live?
Do science/humanities trivia (not necessarily useful knowledge) ones count?
I love Numberphile, Mathologer, Stand-up Maths for, well, math stuff
Technology Connections for inner workings of 50 years outdated tech
Rare Earth for interesting facts about the history and culture of the more obscure peoples of the world - native canadian tribes, non-russian post-soviet states, ethiopians, etc.
You can fish anywhere there is water.
Some regions have lakes in mountainous areas
Cause they are both shit but lucrative. Print out 12 in a day and one might get 20 bucks back so more and more people go to them.
I like how the old guy doesn't have a brain and has a bookshelf lodged in his skull instead
Boomers were mad because Pokemon was huge in the 90's and they didn't understand it at all so they told themselves it was just a dumb fad
and yet 20 years later it's still alive and kicking
Because it signals "early teens" and you lack the confidence to handly anything older.
The whole illusion of society is broken when you realize every age demographic are uneducated fools. Old boomers have just as much social media addiction, and they have had a lifetime to read and they didn't.
Former.
I said funny.
tbqh some of the movement of our current direction seem to be unhealthy for people
saying that as a 20yo. Laziness and the general mindset just seem to transform into something really bad

No, you see, the joke is she's so stupid that she thinks that water is tweets.
This doesn't make any kind of sense? In what way does Donald Trump resemble a Pokemon? What does it satirize?
does anyone under 40 even use facebook anymore?
Don't fall for that shit. Irl braces are the worst and I have a scar on my dick to prove it.
LIBRARY GOOD
SMARTPHONES BAD
can't wait for the WHO to reveal that wifi and cellphones are bad, only for boomers to think about nothing but saying "we wuz right n shiet"
My cousin was born in the late 90’s. He has admitted to me that he has never read a book in his life and that most of his professional career revolves around pestering people to show him how to do his work cause he can’t figure it out himself.
Go have sex then shoot urself in the face.
pokemon go was the summer of Trump user
it's just POPULAR THING YOU KNOW to catch your eye
Wasn't there something about 5G being bad for health?
i have a boner now
Have you never considered your family line just has shit genes and should be culled?
People have been complaining about how stupid youths are since time immemorial.
Every generation ever has been convinced that they are the last reasonable ones, and society is just about to collapse.
In a way, we have a better chance of not getting old to be this way, because the stupidity of our youth has been preserved forever. Maybe, just maybe, when we get old, we'll look back at the shit we've written, watched, read and done and realize that we were no smarter than our kids are.
Off the top of my head:
>antscanada
>pretty much any nature video that pops up
>sometimes history
>cooking+baking videos
>ASMR
>those low-effort tts channels like keque
I dated a 19 year old QT who had braces. Some get them late
>Pokemon GO to the polls
Chicks getting hickies from their phone demons is pretty hot, they even look like they might be getting off from it.
No. You can see this with rage face vs feels guy debates.
How much do you think most first world people know about the history and culture of ethiopia beyond "hungry kids need aid from the rich guy in an expensive suit asking for money on tv"?
>Some get them late
Yeah, but what is the age that springs to mind when you think of braces?
>i fuckin love porn
That's our shitty education system at work. Even higher education is a mixed bag now more than ever. Sometimes you get extremely good teachers who actually help you.
So many perverts for the gas chambers of the future ethnostate.....
Because it’s a game that is meant to be played while walking and watching the cellphone screen (as shown by those comics showing the players hunched over the cellphone)
They would probably have complained about any other popular game, it’s just that the others are usually played at home in your couch. It’s the same reason why people complain about GTA only after a gun massacre, because for a small period the game enter in the small window that is their life through the tv and the words of politicians
upper range of 5G can be. The problem is it can go really really really fucking high frequency; which means smaller and smaller wavelengths.
The problem from that is smaller waves means it can actually penetrate your skin and shit and cause damage.
This is why phone and wifi is safe; it has larger wavelengths that cannot penetrate human bodies.
X-rays are not safe, because they have wavelengths on the order of Nanometers and easily penetrate human bodies down to the cellular level.
It’s not, as far as I know, included in the game yet, though
Not that it would have probably mattered for the joke, most likely
That's just bad fucking parenting. Don't be the type of person who blames radio/tv/video games/tech for failed parenting.
>talking about gassing perverts
>in a thread about old people hating technology
Remember that Alan Turing, father of modern computing, one of the greatest mathematicians of his age, was discredited by his country and driven to suicide by the government who prosecuted him for being gay.
he could just be low IQ you know, big deal
Guess they hadn't heard that you can borrow books from the library on wireless devices.
I think it's a mix of both; smartphones fuck over your retention, and the education system fucks up putting it there in the first place.
That's because being a faggot is a bad and degenerate thing, user. They are marked for elimination during the cleansing.
Why the flying fuck would someone be so hungup over Sears and leafing through catalogues?
I used to look through them in my youth before all dah cumpooters but its hardly some sort of cornerstone of our culture or society.
>the nails are put in randomly, and nowhere near in the order of their creation
why does this part make me mad?
This one is worse than OP's. Dear lord, no wonder boomers get left behind when it comes to technology.
What idiot kid doesn't know how to turn a page of a book? And what idiot writer would think kids don't know that basic baby skill?
He jerked off to them so much he formed an emotional connection.
Because like nearly everyone on Yea Forums you have some degree of the autisms.
I'll agree my retention is much worse now than it's ever been but that could just be more due to my choice of entertainment.
It's getting more abstract.
no, this one is the worst and almost a self parody
>nostalgia over a paper catalog for a store that refused to modernize and was killed by that evil, evil internet
Boomers saw their kids as slaves that would clean the house for them and then magically take care of them and give them money once they turn 18. Anything that gives their kids fun no matter what age is a huge no no because having fun means they aren't cleaning or earning money for them.
And I would almost guarantee the artist here was also yelling at hid dad for not understanding him or his generation in the 80s. Come full circle.
phoneposting unironically killed the internet and Yea Forums
The cruelest irony is that they actually had the ability to be Amazon before amazon but the dinosaurs running sears said no.
A daring synthesis
Get a job NEET. If you're living in the house you should be doing chores, have a sense of fucking responsibility.

no, you didn't, you just learned a whole bunch of pop science and now you think you're really smart when all you know is a bunch of stupid trivia.
flip them to match the order of colors in the picture
I love this new water meme. It's one of the few that I witnessed being born.
if you're willing to depart from the actual colors a bit, you can abstract it out a bit more with a red (bad) twitter and a green (good) book
positioned like the girl's ginger hair and the actual book respectively.
but book not twitter is a different sentiment than twitter not book.
hmmm
>muh boomers
I used to be "with it". Then they changed what "it" is. Now what I'm "with" isn't "it" and what "it" is seems weird and scary to me. IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU.
conclusion
never be with "it"
are you a retard
But actually, when you read it out loud
"Book. Not twitter!"
Sounds more like the message of the comic.
Maybe it would be better to have a purple X on the twitter, rather an inequality?
thanks doc
This has to be the shittiest strip I've ever seen in my life.
Sears was killed by Lampert and the cronies who wanted to use the company as their personal piggy bank and who didn't want to spend the money on refurbishing/modernizing the company. Then again, Sears was in trouble anyways by people who failed to the potential in online retail in the 90's.
In anther future, Sears would be the giant megacorp that every other company would be insanely jealous of.
Hilariously enough, it made a foray into online retail in the 80s-90s, but the old geezers running Sears didn't see the point. It's the same with Blockbuster not seeing the point in buying Netflix.
Well i used to fap to those models.
I’ve read plenty of books on my phone during my commute. There’s some great stuff that’s public domain. Especially philosophy
I used to hate Backstreet Boys as kid but these last two months i have listened them and actually started to like some of those songs.
>Be mad when kids don't go outside enough
>Be mad when kids go outside
Boomers just like being mad at things
no, you see, kids need to go outside AND HAVE FUN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY THEY USED TO HAVE FUN BACK IN THE DAY.
Except when that fun was the result of stupid and dumb choices, then the boomer is free to tell them to stop.
You youngs just don't get it!
It's like they don't know how close Pokemon Go brought us to world peace in those first few months
Don't use Nico for your shitposts.

In my local library, they teach old people how to use tablets or computer
>literally all me
I have an entire folder for this shit, I call it BIG THINK
I collect everything from the wild
libraries as a concept are fucking whole outdated. at the rate new research and theorycraft is released nowadays there's absolutely no way they can keep up. Their only use nowadays is getting free articles for their students and even then that's entirely outclassed by scihub.
Fuck publishers and fuck their retarded quotas.
They should just change them over to free computer places. Basically you go there to fax, print, or use a computer if you don't have one.
Disagree. It doesnt matter if the concept is "outdated" i think some pople will still enjoy the act of picking a book and reading it,not everything need to be done via screen
you can pick up all the books you want and buy all the books you want, it doesn't change the fact that libraries just don't work anymore. What you are talking about is simply nostalgia and snobbism, and hey, there ain't anything wrong with it, but you need to accept that books as a whole are inefficient, especially for us scientists. I can't remember the last time a book had information that I couldn't already find in the internet.
Oh ,you talked about scientific bnook and what not, i was talking about reading fictions
Kids need to go outside and read books and have a stricter upbringing and tougher school, like we had.

Literally 90% of the time I'm on my phone I'm either reading news articles or an ebook from the digital library. The other 10% is setting and silencing alarms, uploading stuff to google drive for work, and using the text message field to write notes for myself.
If you're in America your state should have a digital library, if you've got a library card from just about any library in your state you can pick from a pretty damn respectable selection of ebooks, audio books, and a few movies. It's actually far better than my local library for everything but movies. Should be easy to google "(state) digital library". Highly recommend it, though because it 's state wide the wait lists on stuff that's recently popular can be a pain, like I got on the wait list for Annihilation right after I saw the movie in theaters and didn't actually get to read it for about a year.
And his government did nothing wrong. Being a genius isn’t a license to do disgusting abominable things.
I think it is supposed to have layers to it. Basically Trump wears a bad rug and people have joked about bad rugs looking like dead animals on their head.

>Car Maintenance
>Tax Code
>Auto-cad
And a bunch more. The internet is free access to the worlds knowledge base, and although the majority use it to jack off and laugh at memes, the majority of mankind was always intellectually lazy. We cant force people to WANT to learn, we can only make it easier and hope.
I wish I could get access to the internet when I was a young schoolboy
my grades would be much better
>national geographic (history, science)
Wouldn't trust them about those subjects nowadays to be honest
He's literally got a swollen head.
Can the artist not grasp the irony
there is only ONE good book, the Bible, all the others were made by fuckig demons.
>dont care, but why are braces so hot?
maybe if he didn't read so much he wouldn't need a wheelchair
In a bitter twist of irony, libraries today literally exist only to provide free internet access to the community and to teach old people how to use computers.
fuck off bendis
Why do zoomers get assblasted when their dependency on the internet and social media gets pointed out?
Just get smart now. Im 30, its never to late.
>he said un-ironically on the internet
I think this one is more about troll than modern technology.
too late for college now
you see, that stuff is already autodidactic, and isn't conflated with the perversion of real science that is popsci and youtube videos like the one about "history of the universe i guess" that have people unironically say that they have learned more by watching the youtube video than in school.
user really claiming that by watching youtube edutainment has learned more than in school is just nonsense. Either that or he was one of those community college rejects.
>An unironical boomer in this thread
MOOODS
at least people can get genuinely interested in science thanks to the internet instead of "boomer methods"
>comics like these
>same boomer retards likely against local funding for public resources such as libraries, and the public transportation necessary to get poor citizens to them in a reasonable time
We get it. You're old, out-of-touch, and deeply insecure about both.
Last time I went to a library it was full of sleeping homeless people.
"get job pay for shit"
-boomer
but they're not interested in science user. They're just interested in their retarded pop-sci definitions and trivia knowledge. Then they just jack-off themselves by thinking they're already so smart and knowledgeable.
I'm not a boomer, and I agree that the internet is an useful tool for learning and understanding more. Just not fucking youtube.

Why did everyone think the internet was a fad?
Post the PC edit
Zoomer here, what's a sears catalog ?
War is good.
I agree with my husband, Yea Forums.
>The girl scooped out the inside of an old man's head and shoved an entire bookcase into it. She then walked away retweeting images about it
That's pretty dark
lmao that /r9k/ always gets me
lol is this an edit?
Because it looks like he was drawn by discount Picasso.
it was expensive, computers were expensive and overall it just wasn't as accessible as is nowadays to the average retard.
Also, as seen with radio and tv, the people that had already acquired power in the stablished media empires are scared by new media taking away their power.
Only thing i have learned from internet that i have wasted half of my teenage years and 20s in this shithole.
What will be next after the internet?
26yo protoboomer here. I wasn't around at the time, but my grandmother was and love them. Sears (aka Sears Roebuck and Co) used to send catalogues in the mail that were thick as shit and had hundreds of products along with order sheets. You could mail out the sheets with stuff you wanted to order and it would come in the mail a few weeks later. The catalogues had a massive array of categories of stuff. Underwear, tools, sporting goods, fucking EVERYTHING. They practically had a selection comparable to Amazon in terms of shear product variety. You could even by houses with them.
Realistically that small oasis wouldn't be enough for all of those people. The group on the left is heading for what might be a stable internet connection that they can use to call in help, while the guy on the right is an opportunist that takes the already scarce resources for himself.
It's a booklet they mailed you full of ads for shit like dishwashers and cheap clothes and you could fill out a form and order what you wanted from it. Boomers didn't have anything else to do other than eat lead based paint and jerk off to pictures of women in the Sears catalogue so that's why they're so attached to it.
technological singularity or at least integrating the information technology into our own biological systems.
I gave it a shot. I'm pretty sure I did this backwards so I'm gonna try again but I-I hope you like it, user.
>tfw we still have this shit on Mexico
does that mean I will be the boomer in my country?
Imagine the porn.
Not everything on Youtube is popsci. There are math courses, physics courses, programming courses, language courses, history courses, a shit ton of courses. And often they're done by people who just enjoy the subject and wanna help spread information about it, not for monetary gain.
It was also a way for poorfags to pretend they had cool stuff. Imagine in the era before the internet, all you could see outside of your bumfuck town was what happened to be on TV or in the Sear's catalogue.
I agree in that, but how many people of the millions using internet do really use them? For fuck's sake, we have people sharing anti-vaxxer shit and hoaxes by the thousands even with how accessible information is nowadays. I agree in that there's useful stuff at youtube, but that stuff isn't what attracts most people. Except for cooking and "do-it-yourself" shit, but I guess that's cool, at least.
Is it just me, or does dad look like George W. Bush?
You don't get a pass on kicking puppies for donating to charity
You don't get a pass on being a fag for being a genius
Morality isn't utilitarian; bad things don't become not!bad because you did good.
Water thread?
Can someone PLEASE redpill me on the water joke?
I like how it's set up that she just started ranting at the little girl with no provocation
fucking nice
you're just pretending to like water, fag.
>I defeated the Nazis
AND that's why you're being put in an inner city home, gramps.
Remember to stay hydrated.
>but how many people of the millions using internet do really use them?
I doubt before the internet there was a golden age of knowledge where everyone was going to the library to expand their intelligence. There will always will be endless numbers of retards who do nothing to improve themselves intellectually.
At least with the internet the chances or the ability for an individual to improve their knowledge is far greater than if they only had access to a local library. Plus consider that a library relying on books alone is likely to out-of-date information or an entire lack of information on a particular subject.
I can dig it
nice try big water
It's that comic posted earlier about dad reading a nursery rhyme to kid who disparages water and says they should've fetched "pokemon creatures". Someone swapped the two things around and it caught on.
Now younglings demand water.
Hey, Yea Forums.
Water sucks. Gatorade is better.
they expect you to take care of and clean up after them even if you have a job and pay their bills for them, despite being fully able to do so themselves
Someday I should learn how to use photoshop or something but my shitty mspaintings have a special place in my heart.
>this is what boomer men believe
After my grandfather died, my grandmother stopped saying nigger.
>jack
get on my level fags
holy shit kek
Water Go, the hit AR mobile game where you collect water.
>Gatorade
Is that a new Pokemon creature?
There is also the Yea Forums joke when wherever there is a question about what you are drinking while gaming everyone always says water
I assume this is a school in Australia right before everything went Max Max?
I just read a bunch of books on my phone actually.
I have Scribd and read through the whole of Lockwood and Co. in a month.
It's a good way to pass the commute to and from work, which I used to do with regular books, but unlike regular books, I can also read it while I'm in the bathroom so that was fun.
It says right in the comic it's making fun of his retarded looking hair you retard.
>In what way does Donald Trump resemble a Pokemon?
Well he does say his name a lot.
>amish don't like technology
this is good
I think he looks like George Bush Sr.
Why are people thinking this is boomer propaganda? This is stuff for elderly people who think all technology is witchcraft. They just boomers as self insets so they can feel young again.
The thumbnail looks like a woman with a big head and fat ass bending over to pick something up
>i killed a nigger once then raped his mother and killed her too.
>on xbox or playstation?
>if you only read book, your life will improve
>right before everything went Max Max?
Wait, are you saying Australia isn't already like Mad Max?
Different user but I think fiction is still doing well. Not to long ago I took my niece to the library and there were plenty of kids there.
lol
This user gets it.
Post the oasis please
I know I was supposed to be aroused, but I can't stop laughing at her expression.
If I pulled that off would you die?
send it to the author of the original
en.wikipedia.org
>went to art school
>didn't participate in any wars
Glass house and stones, etc.
I was actually rewatching the first Mad Max movie with my dad and we both came to the conclusion that the original isn't about the apocalypse at all, its just about Australia being Australia.
Ha!
Underrated
I put books on my phone so I can read during my lunch breaks at work
pretty outstanding, nice work
because you are a pedophile
Shhh
This but unironically
maybe the pages are just stuck together
Pepper Ann and Ferb?
Oh fuck, watch out, Jesus is planning to crucify everyone one by one.
I saw Fury Road before going back to the original and was honestly surprised at how much society was left intact in the first one. It really just looked like how I’d imagine a poor part of Australia would look.
It was a really low-budget film. George Miller destroyed his own car for it.
>not calling it H2GO
cmon son
>108373549
caveman boomer.
It says "a few years from now" in the opening, so you're probably meant to assume that life got worse without actually collapsing.
Why are boomers fucking like this? They really are toxic people
They're pissed off due to never coming to terms with the passage of time, and so rather than accepting it they double down on their time and their ways, insisting every new thing is evil and/or dumb as hell, and because of that anyone who likes NEW THING must be the ones who can't handle OLD THING. I guess what I'm saying is it's textbook projecting, or at least one big "no u"
Mad Max 1 was explicitly Australia shortly after or during the collapse of the rule of law. The series is a sort of chronology of Australia when shit hits the fan.
I wish my mom didn't scold me and ask 'why do you keep drawing this shit' and 'why can't you draw anything nice' growing up when she saw me drawing pokemon and pictures of machines. To this day I feel unwelcome and unable to write what I know because basically I was raised to consider that an evil subversion of art. My mom went to VCU and she acts like a fucking modernist lol.
They can't understand it because nothing like it existed during their time, but at the same time it's becoming an intrinsic part of society that you can't just ignore anymore. No one sends letters anymore when you can just send an email, just about every job requires an online application at this point.
It's almost like they're dying before actually dying and it scares them.
Because the guy used that Sears Catalog to jack off. It all comes together in the end.
I just don't know why they literally hold the world's people responsible for the passing of time. So many of these people literally think change is an attack on them from the youth, like by using a new type of pen or putting your book on a screen is actually CAUSING time to pass. I can't make you live longer by pretending not to use my phone, by acting like it's the past, what the fuck is with these people?
I watch
>Kings and generals
>Anything TimeGhost makes
>Ted Ed
>TownSends
>Vsauce
>Minute Physics
>I'd spend hours looking at all of the stuff I'd get some day.
Is he sure it was a Sears catalog that he used to look at and not a Grocery catalog?
After you take the red pill, remember to wash it down with some water.
is she wet?
>One scoop of ice cream more than anyone
>One pokemon in the party more than allowed
At least he's consistent.
>Boomers.
>Using the library.
My parents literally protested keeping the libraries open and give me shit like this all the time.
>Kids don't know what books are.
That is absolute, fucking bullshit. I used to work at a public library and children's materials were far and away the most widely circulated ones. Especially during every summer when they held a program that gave rewards based on how many books the kids read.
>No one sends letters anymore when you can just send an email
Nobody sends emails anymore either. They all message each other on Facebook. You don't have to go through the hassle of opening your preferred mail app and checking if you got something since you get a jingle the moment someone sends you a private message.
ahaha
Most normies don't read and actively look down on people who do.
Libraries are communist liberal institutions that educate the poor, but they don't use them because if they did they wouldn't be poor (unlike me who is rich because I'm smart and not like them) so basically why waste money on a library when rich people can buy their own books and poor people don't deserve to read
Where's the evian=naive joke?
SAUCE
You better link the full version lad
>My cousin was born in the late 90’s. He has admitted to me that he has never read a book in his life
There are boomers who brag to me they've never read a book in their lives. It's not just a millennial thing.
t. work at a bookstore patronized by boomers who drag their brain dead spouses in.
but what if the pool’s closed?
It's more of a teenager thing.
The kind that never bothered to read to their kid.
This seems like an actual joke not an out of touch whine though.
are you a gay?
I'll be 32 next month and I've been here since the Bush administration.
The vast majority of people don't read and this was true even when I was a kid. The real problem with books is that theoretically you could change any and all digital editions to say whatever you want, while originals are no longer available. Couple this with an inability to get an actual physical book for this or that reason and it becomes obvious that there's a profound danger in the absence of physical media. It's a way to exert totalitarian control while effectively rewriting history to suit your own ends. Liberals do it today already, so my guess is this will be the next step.
Have a personal library. You can copy the books yourself by hand if needed.

>All the other combo-boards reach understanding quickly and have fun together
>/mlpol/ just shits all over itself
I literally only got a smart phone for books. Right now I'm reading The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner.
Put down the crack pipe, /mlpol/ was the best because it got read of the shareblue people and mlp could finally post porn, it was great
The fuck are you talking about? /mlpol/ got along so well that people were begging Hiro to keep it around after April, even as a joke board.
What most people don't realize is that they retain a fuckton of knowledge from public school. I could barely tell you anything I learned in school other than Eli Whitney inventing the cotton gin, the fact that plants are green usually because of chloroplasts in their cells, and some other tiny science tidbits. However, it's obvious that I learned stuff like fundamental reading and writing skills, math skills, etc that I just can't consciously list as an example because they're all second nature now. Kind of like how you don't realize how many moral messages were in the cartoons you watched as a kid until you see them again later and the messages are obvious.
Whatever someone's learned from YouTube is probably either
>Learned more recently and thus easier to remember
>Something that's probably applied often in their life seeing as they sought out the information themselves usually
All these fucking comics can boil down to "new things are scary"
Men don't want you because you're 30 and look 50 now deal with it, uggo roastie
>Education practices haven't changed in 2 centuries
>Kids going through that (apparently) static process doing worse than they did before
That *would* indicate that something is wrong with the kids, not with the system. Like, if my cake recipe hasn't changed in a decade, but my cakes have been getting steadily worse, that probably means the problem is with the new baker, the ingredients, or the kitchen, not with the recipe that was producing cakes fine when it started.
It's funny because thousands of american have no access to clean water, have been lead poisoned for generations, told it was fine and now they have to deal with retardation and cancer. Fun. Sure ROCKS to live in america.
/mo/ and /cock/ were great.
same goes for getting a public library membership card or having a ton of books you've never touched all on your shelves
different medium
different tech
same shit as always
Wrong, all combo boards were good and got along
And so was the choco-PB alliance
what if the overall quality of cakes is better and your cakes are just shittier due to being behind the times while other cakes advanced and thus so did the tastes of those who eat cake?
team peeps here
y'all just jealous
>reading Sanguozhi on laptop
>reading other books in book form next to me
Why would we? We got 1st and 2nd, peep got stuck on 3rd, should be grateful you didn't get mini's fate
Dude /mlpol/ was top, all the shills and redditors didn't know what to do.
No, /mlp/ was just happy to have anyone to talk to after being the site's pariah for god knows how long, and had an excuse to post porn. Plus there was already /pol/ posters on /mlp/, for fuck's sakes they had an unironic nazi pony oc.
Everyone else at /pol/ was miserable and rightfully suffered due to colorful horses causing autism meltdowns.
I'll just leave this here:
"Written in 1863 but first published 131 years later (1994), the novel follows a young man who struggles unsuccessfully to live in a technologically advanced, but culturally backwards world. "
"The novel's main character is 16-year-old Michel Dufrénoy, who graduates with a major in literature and the classics, but finds they have been forgotten in a futuristic world where only business and technology are valued. Michel, whose father was a musician, is a poet born too late. "
SEE! Electricity is bad!
>the concepts being taught in schools today is no more complex than what was being taught 200 years ago
It was, mostly because of all the asspain it caused for everyone involved. No matter how they try to rewrite it.
nah
literally every single combo-board had a fun time
including /mlpol/
That looks extremely painful
Creme here. You got lucky PB boys
Nice to see SOME OC still exists in nu-Yea Forums.
that book was ghostwriten by Jules Verne's son after he found an early draft and he passed as a lost novel

I'm in my fucking 20s and I have memories of the Sears catalog, what the fuck is this revisionist shit? The only thing that changed over time was the paper they printed it on and removing the option to buy kit houses.
Is it wrong to say I enjoyed these two events and miss the fun that was had during them?
Especially with the alien birth.
The first Mad Max IS just a movie about Australia being Australia. The societal collapse that led to the second film was only in progress
You realize you're posting on Yea Forums, right, you dimb tranny?
We were all here to see how great /mlpol/ was, so what's the point in lying about something so obvious?
D:
I wonder too, user
>Millennials: Why do Boomers hate smartphones and new things that they didn't grow up with so much?
>Also Millennials: DAMN ZOOMERS WITH THEIR FORTNITE AND FLOSS DANCING
Don't milennials quantitatively consume more literature than the previous generation?
Most boomers I know have never picked up a book in their fuckin lives
to be fair despite 90s wank and Minecraft/Fortnite cringe, we don't insist kids don't know how to use books or talk without drooling, or that they'd pick an overwatch lootbox over fresh water if left on an island. You could argue it's because we're still decently close and up to date with them in terms of technological advancement, but even so.
I'm surprised that no one's pointed out that the old man is going to just be spinning around in circles with one hand working a wheel.
>Sears has filed for bankruptcy, what happened?!
>blames the kid that's too young to earn his own money yet
YOUR FAT ASS DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED.
WTF are you talking about user? 5G uses 300Ghz to 3Mhz of wavelength. Thats not nearly enough to penetrate human skin.
>I'd spend hours looking at all of the stuff I'd get some day
Fantasizing about someday buying a dishwasher or leafblower or some other stupid pointless appliance instead of trying to enrich your life through art or hobbies is peak boomer culture.
>All water tastes of nothing
Not true, when I was down in Florida because Didny Whorl, all the water tasted like sulfur.
Up here it's calcium or limestone.
>one day I'll be able to spend money on things
Every kid's dream
Yes.
As soon as I got a job that lasted longer than a month, I bought the MMPR zords like I'd been dreaming of for the last 15 years.
My brother did the same thing, except he got The Mask from the Jim Carrey movie.
I'm sure my dad did something similar, but I couldn't tell you what he bought.
>Is it wrong that I had fun?
As opposed to what, zoomer culture, which is fantasizing about saving up enough money to one day pay an e-celeb to say your name on their stream?
This is fuckin amazing
MY YOUTH GOOD! YOUR YOUTH BAD!
I meant the question to go more in the sense that the latest April's Fool events haven't been quite "up there" with these particular too, tho maybe I should've specified
There's millenial culture, which is fantasizing about one day saving up enough money for a house
>wanna /ll/
This is the only correct comic here
I realized now I don't actually need to keep a long-winded second bubble.
>As opposed to what
I said it in my post, user.
Boomers were so obsessed with material goods. You bought a boat or a condo or a fancy car, even if you couldn't really afford it. It's because they grew up in a period of economic growth unseen in America.
Millennials, for all their faults, reject this materialism and try to find fulfillment through short term experiences, usually out of necessity thanks to the economy and our crippling debt. It's why there are ten articles a day about how millennials are killing some useless industry that thrived on boomer dollars.
Wait, they treat the digital books as if they were a finite resource?
Bruh this pic is almost shitpost tier
I got a book for her to read.
Fuckin hands free
I dont think people buy cars or condos out of a SEARS catologue.
CRUMMY BIG WATER IS CORRUPTING THE MINDS OF OUR CHILDREN

>You now realize there's only just one main wheel. There isn't a wheel on the left side of the chair at all.
Aw fuck, this was supposed to be it's own thread. My mistake. I'll delete it when I can.
I'll never stop loving these
WATER GOOD
fuck, my stomach hurts. 100/10
fucking kek
Try not to drown yourself in laughter when you find out
Yes, its still the most used platform but it's dying reeeeally slowly since zoomers aren't getting into facebook because they perceive it as an old people's platform.
Millenials still use because of work or as a meme machine.
>antscanada
good taste
You guys remember how 2008-2014 pop used to be eeeexxxxxxxtreeeeemmmeeellly hated by "defeners"/boomers back when it was new? People kept saying "I only listen to real music like Queen, not Justine Gayber and Lil Gayne".
Well now that era is beloved online and considered a "golden age" of pop. Interesting to see the complete 180 turn in popular opinions.
Until a priest gets outed as a child molester
Then all the good he did for the community outweighs his sins as the church grannies line up to defend him
Its still more understandable considering they were literal children back then
>tortures, kills, prosecutes and drives people to suicide
>justified, because they did so to "fight degeneracy"
>Revolutionizes technology and paves the way for a scientific and lifestyle revolution
>deserves death for liking stuff up his butt
Conservatards consistent as usual
>Well now that era is beloved online and considered a "golden age" of pop. Interesting to see the complete 180 turn in popular opinions.
And yet, they're wrong
T-theres more to the picture r-right?
Wait... There are people seriously fucking NOSTALGIC for fucking Justin Bieber?
Man, it reminds me of that video where they had a girl in the future listen to music before her Sweet, "13," Party, and all it was a loud buzzing noise, and when she left her parents were like, "Remember Nicki Minaj? Ah, those were the days."
Wasn't that supposed to be fucking satire and not actually happen?!
Time moves forward and people younger than you exist
It always happens with every generation. People used to joke about nu-metal nostalgia and that came true in the end.
Yo that’s where I’m going next year lol
>not we are the Pokemon creatures, and when I was your age I was fetching Pails of water
The most primal fear is the fear of the unknown, and what we don't understand. Boomers don't understand technology, so it must be bad. They must burn the youngin witches that use the tech.
There have already been many attempts to link cellphone use with something bad e.g. brain tumors. The studies keep failing to get results but they keep making the studies.
Cody'slab
Because Boomers are complaining about the advancements of technology and not understanding it one bit and deciding that it's bad and my days were better
Millennials are just poking fun at zoomers for being cringy as shit and not being nearly as self-aware of it either
It's making fun of kids for doing something stupid
>jack
To be fair a lot of libraries have adapted with the times and offer way more than just books and shelter for hobos.
Cause his fucking ego broke his spine
That's what they already are now.

>BOOKS GOOD
>SMARTPHONES BAD
It's true tho
as you should
>heh, I bet those dumb kids don’t even know how to use a book! No, I won’t acknowledge the irony of me saying this out of the bitterness of not grasping technology
Vs
>why aren’t you spending your parents money on cosmetic shit and dancing like a retard?
Know the difference, it could save your life
>aren’t
Shit, guess I need to fetch a few more Pails myself
Couldn't a bunch of printed tweets alone make a book? Why would they need to add "extra characters"?
>VIDEO GAMES BAD
>WAR GOOD
But it's true
here come all the guys who have read the collected works of Plato on their phone...
t.cheetos finger who 'll probably cried when he skinned his knee that time he slipped in the kitchen
I have a lot of young family, kids who have been raised on smart phones and tablets. their attention spans and ability for critical thinking are dog shit compared with the generation that came before. i know that's anecdotal, but i suspect that statistics would bear it out. there are lots of studies already that show that how children are treated and raised and occupied at home has way more of an impact than whether or not a school has good funding, advanced tech in the classroom, etc. of course, this won't stop sellout gen-x parents from blaming the institutions like school systems.
we should go back to that
the irony is, the same people who bitch and moan the loudest about millennials "killing" long-standing businesses, brands, etc. are much the same people who love crowing about how great the capitalist system is.
fair enough, but i think for every one of you, there's about five dudes out there who think they're amateur scientists now from viewing "scientific" memes and well-produced, dubiously researched pop-science videos
Almost every smart person I know listens to lectures or pod casts on highly technical matters or academia on their commutes. There typical day job is training AI or something else tech related.
If anything, boomers are the idiots because their generation is the one who are damn near helpless at retraining themselves or keeping up with continuous education. Its why you see so many cling to their mailmen tier jobs or cry for coal to come back.
This. All the butthurt tweets and memes about how school didn't teach anything useful is ridiculous. Basic literacy, functional math, plus research management, time management, and general concentration, are all skills that were encouraged and developed in school, and which allow you to learn pretty much anything else.
make it wine
kek
original for the uninitiated
just take the nails out and read the book.
I've always wanted to work in a library
do you need special qualifications ?
They weren't interested in shit fathoms from any application in their lives Honey, just the cheap and ubiquitous devices which allow them to interact with the historic site, deliver virtually all relevant info in every imaginable media and engage their friends.
Please KYS for the benefit of your kids.
>calling Vaporeon "crummy"
You take that back, you little shit
I remember I was a fan of Backsteet Boys when I was very little and by the time I got to like 2nd grade or something I saw a girl with a Backstreet Boys CD and the conversation basically went with her wondering why I like them because only girls are supposed to like them, which is something I wasn't even aware of before that.
This one is cute
>one extra scoop
c'mon the man clearly needs it, he's skin and bone at this point
Philosophy isn't real education but ok
>the book
My fucking sides
...The Germans were the ones occupying Europe though.
education without philosophy is just memorizing other people's theories without engaging with them
otherwise you end up treating the curriculum as dogma and you wind up with way too many doctors and engineers that dismiss everything neither part of the curriculum nor discovered by themself as inherently false, the kind of people who think a word isn't real unless its in the oxford english dictionary
All that ''knowledge'' is useless if you act like a fucking asshole. Knowing shit and having social game is fucking great.
You'll just shit your pants at the first bullet shot
>You'll just crummy your water at the first pail fetched
> CC: frank. Thought you might get a kick out of this!
millenials these days... fetching their pails of water...instead of getting pokemon creatures like the ....rest of us hmmph . it's called a phone, champ...
hang on.. i recognise that book. that's the russian one about the salaryman who goes crazy and starts loving "34", right? i think i read that a long time ago... i wanna say 10 years ago.
>Anything around when you grow up is normal
>Anything that comes out around your 20s-30s is exciting and you can probably get a good job in it
>Anything that comes out after that is against nature
Why is there a squirrel in the corner
>for us scientists
First off, nobody in the field uses that. The common turn of phrase is "researcher." Second of all, are you stupid? We use older books all the time as reference material.
I wish I had a pet Vaporeon.
>fucking pintrest
Human instrumentality/complimintation
>little monkey fellas
More like cummy pokemon creature
>Vaporeon canonically can melt into water
>darn kids not reading books these days
>kid reads YA
>NO NOT THAT, read this 50 shades of grey from the 19th century because old words!
The 90s called, they want their medical science back.
have we figured out why it is that wifi seems to lower sperm count?
Can someone tell me why all boomer comics have the same ugly obnoxious artstyles with big noses?
Simple, access to Wi-Fi means access to porn means excessive masturbation means lower sperm count
Funny how boomers desperately want us to kill one another again now that they are above drafting age
Wholesome
porn when? Get on it drawfags
What is a so called "plugger"?
a plugger is a top with a chode or similarly girthy dick
Damn, those boomers still got it
Friendly reminder:
The entirety of the original Carl Sagan's Cosmos is free to watch on YouTube RIGHT NOW and you can watch the whole thing on your smartphone!
Millennials hate Zoomers because they remind them of all the minecraft rap parodies they made when they were their age.
We're gonna be mango farmers, darling.
Unironically based.
Or this. The point is:you're an internet tough guy
She looks happier than him. I’m picking smartphones
I see big water got to him as well, rip
He fetched too much water
The thing that I find most ironic in this situation is in the 1890s Sears was originally a delivery only system like Amazon where they had no store locations and you just ordered things through their catalog.
Fucking amazing
There's two water jokes. One is the pokemon creatures comic, where someone swapped the names and it just snowballed from there. The other is the /r/waterniggas thing where it's this whole ironic community dedicated to drinking water.
>sharing things you love with the people you love is bad
>tfw adamant about not using a smartphone while I went to school and eventually college
>still dumb as a fucking rock and flunked out of uni
WELP
Boomers are notorious for being some of the most stupid first-worlders on earth. Do the math.
>boomer artist admitting he lives in the dark ages
lol'ed
I'm giving you a (You), because that was fairly humorous.
>Meet several different people when I went to play Pokémon Go with friends
>All sorts of people from chads, nerds, hot chick ,etc.
>We all just had fun, catching Pokémon creatures
God that was fun.
user even among zoomers people who do fortnite dancing irl are fucking retarded.
>zoomers.
>not being more into that old shit than the people who were in age when it came for the first time.
Jokes aside, books are more useful than a smartphone.
No it doesn't.
>chads
why do you use that word? Are you even 18+?
>dad fills up his travel mug with wine and forces us in the van to go see grandma
Heh, bad times.
Do kangaroos have discrete vaginas or do the males fuck their pouches?

Why the fuck does America have integral desks and chairs? Is it so nogs can't throw them around as easy?

Notice the squirrel in the bottom right.
I'm pretty sure the guy and squirrel are originally from something else, the girl got added in for this version because no one cares may as well be lazy

Fitting the Eternal Hun would see that image as a good thing.
This reminds of the hundreds of porno pictures that came out after The Devil Wears Prada.
