It's pretty amazing it's supposed to be a children's comic

The japs care about entertainment and quality. Only Murica has this retarded fear of nudity and blood for some reason

but that's the appeal

cutesy artstle + gruesome murders

america aired it on adult swim while in europe and latin america it aired on children's channels

Fair Play mysteries seem to have died out and have become really niche in the west. I'd be surprised if there's an ongoing mystery comic like that right now. Meanwhile, Fair Play mysteries are still relatively mainstream in Japan.

I think it's pretty problematic that the criminals are always black until their identity is revealed

Mystery comic is harder to make and harder to sell than battle / fighting comic

A long-running series about a detective who never manages to change or evolve as a person or make any meaningful progress in his quest?
Sounds like Batman to me.

never got why blood itself was a subject of censorship, it's the wound or emotion that could traumatize a kid, blood itself is just a byproduct.

Blood is red and red is the color of communism. If kids see red they turn commie.

You gotta keep a secret from kids that they've got scary stuff inside like blood and skeletons

>and skeletons
There's a time and place for macabre jokes and this is not it.

And cum.

Its the japs that fear blood and gore actually. They censor anything too violent.
Murica fears tiddies but loves that sweet gore.

Little boy adventurer? Solving mysteries? Sorry, not in this country. Enjoy your capeshit.

Typical third worlder getting everything wrong.
