bretty gud

10/10 would read again

Generally pretty good.

call me back when he finishes one of them.

That was such a great series, too bad it was so short.
>Beat your head against the table until I tell you to stop.

>Fantastic Four/FF
Loved it. 10/10
>Avengers/New Avengers/Infinity/Secret Wars
Loved it. 10/10
>Manhattan Projects
Loved it. 10/10. Wish it would return but it's been so long I wouldn't hold my breath.

Does Hickman even write things that don't involve Doctor Doom being the bestest ever at everything?

Poor writer.

Manhattan Projects is dead for good sadly, Hickman and the artist had a falling out. I think the artist is even out of comics as a whole.

That's a shame. It's one of the most creative and zany things I've ever read.

All hail god Mammon!

>It's one of the most creative and zany things I've ever read
I mean, coming from someone that gave 10/10 to both Hickman stories that end with Doctor Doom becoming all-powerful, thst doesn't mean much.

>mystery story
>midway through they just ask a demon for most of the answers

Wow. Great storytelling.

>Manhattan Projects "fan"
>didn't even know it was cancelled

Heh.

>If you don't like seeing Doom becoming all powerful in Hickman's Fantastic Four and then seeing Doom becoming all powerful again 2 years later in Hickman's Avengers, you are a nerd.

...what?

Dude, shut the fuck up? you liked when he made dr doom stronger than dr stranger wow fuck off?!

you are replying to Tommy, he is pretty obsessed with Hickman and Doom in general, i think Jonathan fucked his mother or something.

Is it really just one dude? i've noticed people seething constantly at Hickman focusing almost entirely on his Doom fetish but i assumed it was just some kind of consensus.

Nah, there's lots who don't like his stuff.

Whenever you see stuff about Doom becoming omnipotent, or Sue cucking reed, or Hawkeye being better than Watchmen, it's Tommy. He has a very distinctive style of posting and very little material, so stick around and you'll spot him. Autism of this caliber is a rare thing so it's interesting to observe

>Hawkeye being better than Watchmen
Could you please specify? what does he mean?

This was dopeAF

Why would you inquire further? He's nuts

This too, based Doom dabbed on the shitty phoenix force or whatever it is.

it's not done. It's been delayed due to illness on Tomm Coker's part. Issues 9-12 are all gonna be 64 pages too.
Pretty sure the fallout is real too, but Pitarra is drawing an issue of the upcoming doom patrol

Neat i had no idea it would conituneunaeuan

I like everything from him except Mnhttn Prjcts which is sh*t

The one you posted is the best comic I read this decade. His other stuff is good for what it is, I like that he is a writer who does a specific thing and if you like it that's fine and if you don't too bad. Too many comic writers are just bland.

I found it a little too "weird"

Hickman's Ultimates was great, and then he gave the final issue in the arc to Humphries who shat all over it. I will
NEVER
NOT
BE
UPSET
BY
THAT.

I think Hickman's initative with the graphic design stuff is great. He wants to add more bang for your buck by giving you 40 page books instead of 20 pagers. and the balance of charts and regular comics pages makes the rhythms asymmetrical and throws the reader a curveball

I always enjoy that too, makes it all fele more robust. Always wondered how do they handle that while printing. Does he take a pay cut or some kind to pay for the extra pages or what?

Hickman is the true successor to Kirby.

dunno about cape comics, but you don't get per page rate on indies. You don't make any money on the books until three months after sales, but you take home like 100% or 90% of the profits if published thru image. and then u split profits.

I love graphs so he gets me

Kirby is primarily an artist. It isn't right to compare them. And even then I'm not really sure why you're comparing the two. Who thinks of Hickman and then thinks Kirby

No, Hickman can actually write.

Guys, where do i start with Hickman? I am a noob when it comes to Marvel but Hickman's cosmic shit sounds intriguing.

Fantastic Four

Some good, some not so good, some great, some awful.

Feel like there is a sweet spot of neither too much nor too little editorial oversight.
And not the kind of oversight where they tell him what to write. Comics are totally fucked up because of that practice.

i ilike him
