Because it's going to be on Netflix tomorrow and I have to kill time until Shadowbringers comes out Post those ideas for the sequel and picks for spiders that should get in / be featured.
Odds seem high that we'll hear concrete news about the film (either Spider-verse 2 or the Gwen spin-off) at the end of summer once Far From Home concludes it's theatrical run. It also seems likely that the comics will have a 3rd Spider-verse. Hopefully with a better set of villains than the inheritors, and a main story that isn't complete garbage.
>Because it's going to be on Netflix tomorrow Source?
Gabriel Jackson
I hope with the tease at the end while serving as a meme, also sets up potential for other cameos from animated Spider-Men. Pic related, pay homage to who did it first.
Was TAS spider-man that good? I only remember bits and pieces. And the theme song.
Jordan Jackson
More art style shifting would be good. Rather than the team being based in a single universe, the plot should drive cast across multiple. Either searching for something(s) or trying to escape something(s).

I doubt they'd pass up the opportunity. I just hope the styles they go through are wild and varied.
It was pretty great, it has tons of heart, balanced tone with very solid humor and good interpretations of most of the iconic stories at that point in time. The characterizations were very solid as well, one of the best Spideys out there. However, it's not without it's flaws. Spidey not being able to punch and the no guns thing kinda stands out more now, it also suffers from some of the missteps taken with Spider-Man in the comics in the 90s, but that's subjective imo. It's much better than Ultimate and the current show. It also has a great score alongside it's theme. I'd definitely recommend, it still holds up.
Also it ends on a huge cliffhanger. But the voice cast came back and gave us somewhat of an ending, at least answering the question that really matters. Not like Spectacular where SEVERAL plot threads were left open.
A lot of shows do that if they're expecting to get picked up again for another season. Happened to storm hawks, Gumball, etc. At least it's not quite as common these days, so when a show doesn't get renewed show runners can at least attempt to close plot threads and wrap everything up.
Spiders-man would a good add on just give the team some genuine tension besides banter. An antagonistic like Spider would be great to balance the wholesome core.
Otto could fill that role, as well as Assassin Spidey.
Good point. If nothing else there'd be a lot of confusion. The guy who's boom headshotting people left and right then goes on to save kittens and orphans. And no one can stop him!
I get the feeling Norman would do awful, awful things to her because she dared hurt his son.
That pisses me off for some reason. I have a desire to read Back in Black just to see Peter utterly wreck Fisk's shit so bad right now. Fuck that big fat bastard, he deserved to lose his family.
Did he though? By the end of the movie he just got hung up. Admittedly high up and beat up by a little kid, but he deserved worse.
Justin Harris
He's worse off now. Not only widely exposed as a dangerous criminal, he couldn't actually bring his family back despite killing HIS Spider-Man, and now he has to permanently deal with a new younger, full of life Spider-Man.
And the OTHER Spider-People are up to him if he can even try this again.
But he HAS no other villains, he’s vaguely established relationships with some versions of Pete’s villains but nothing truly adversarial. I can’t think of a single other original villain Bendis made for him. Saladin is trying but so far his only other two villains were just ineffectual white guys there to serve purpose to the political message of that particular comic
Adrian Nelson
Shattered public image, Spider-man is still around to terrorize him. Didn't get back his family. (if S.H.I.E.L.D. exists in this world) He'd be put on a watch list that would make it near impossible to regather the components he needs to build another collider, not to mention it's unlikely he'll find another scientist on 1610 who would A. be willing to work for him and B. Knows as much as Olivia about breaking the dimensional barrier. His quantum family rejected him in every alternate earth, just like his real one.
Well that is good, serves the bastard right. Hell in perpetuity.
Now, I haven't seen it in a while so I'm foggy, but didn't Peter A. say that Fisk had the entire city in his pocket? Owned the police and had connections... And he was the only one trying to stop him. What's stopping him from pulling strings to get out again?
Nicholas Hughes
Also, if Peter A. had a literal spider-cave full of alternate suits and costumes why the HELL did he decide that day of ALL days to wear his classic suit?
And why was the entire city mourning his death but by the end of the movie, like days later, are perfectly okay with someone taking his place and calling him Spider-Man? They got over Peter's death disturbingly quick.
The more I think about this movie, the more I get confused.
Why was MJ at Fisks party when she would know he was Petes killer?
Nathan White
By nature of him being a Legacy character, he automatically inherits all of Parker's enemies that are still alive because he carries the name Spider-man. Even then the nature his relationship when dealing with Parker's old rogues is completely different because he isn't Peter. There's also unique variants to 1610 that Peter never faced like Ultimate Taskmaster, the Think Tank, Diamond Back and her gang, Ultimate Kate Bishop and her Family
But if for whatever reason unique variants or relationships simply don't count for whatever reason and they have to be COMPLETELY original and never seen before, there's Iron Spider, Snatcher, TANK scientist that have been observing him from another dimension, Frost Pharaoh, and The Blue guy with the hole in his chest who doesn't have a name yet and just captured him.
How did Gwen get into the school in the first place? How did MJ not recognize Peter's voice (granted, I don't remember if Peter A. and B. had different VA's, but does that count in-universe?)?
I think I recognize the old man as some kind of discount Mr. Hyde Hulk riff, but thought there was a black girl in there somewhere...
Aiden Robinson
Parker 1610 is voiced by Chris Pine, Peter B is Jake Johnson. They don't sound the same. For Gwen It's the first week of classes, Teachers with 5 periods of 30 students that alternate every other day with another set of 30 students for 5 periods, It'd be pretty easy to get lost. Unknown how much 1610 MJ was in the know when it came to 1610 Parker investigations. He could have just not told her about what he was working on.
For Gwen it's probably something to do with the small bit of time travel that she did. Tremors were happening City-Wide and areas in Brooklyn were being melded together with multiple universes at once. New guy in a suit hauls in a bunch of known criminals, the tremors and dimensional shifting stop. "Thanks Spider-man"
>Parker 1610 is voiced by Chris Pine, Peter B is Jake Johnson. They don't sound the same. For Gwen It's the first week of classes, Teachers with 5 periods of 30 students that alternate every other day with another set of 30 students for 5 periods, It'd be pretty easy to get lost. That makes sense. Like I said I didn't know if the differing voices is a meta thing or if in-universe, all Peters sound relatively the same.
>New guy in a suit hauls in a bunch of known criminals, the tremors and dimensional shifting stop. "Thanks Spider-man"
But "Spider-Man" for the city has been, for years Peter Parker. That they'd immediately start calling someone new Spider-Man seemed odd to me when the original had just died. But hey I'm not knocking it, just saying I'm confused by it. Thanks.
Iron spider was just his uncle under a different name, and how can he be the legacy of a character that hasn't retired and he has no real connection to? And stop bringing up the ultimate universe, he was only there for three years none of it is canon anymore. He has no real reason t be spiderman and hasn't for five years
Blake James
I want a Wolverine-verse
Xavier Nguyen
Also have a Gwen. She nice. Unironically prefer her movie design to the canon one. Her aesthetic and hairstyle match much better to an alternate Gwen. Canon Spider-Gwen just looks like classic Gwen, and that... doesn't fit at all.
I want Wolverine-verse with James Howlett meeting X23!
>none of it is canon anymore ...But he remembers everything that happened in it. He knows he came from that universe, it's canon for him.
Lincoln Thompson
The movie was made by people and for people who hate peter. Miles is just an excuse for positive press about how diverse they are. Its why he's never had to have a real connection to Peter. Think about it not only does the city forget but we see Gwen not give a single fuck that she killed peter twice, and his wife not care about him dying. Miles is just there for cuck shit nothing more, its why he doesn't need a name or real motivation to be a hero, he just thinks he's supposed to be better than everyone because he's the main character
Landon Phillips
Dude I love Peter as Spider-Man probably more than a lot of people and if you're not trolling I can see where you're coming from... but chill the fuck out.
I (t. black guy like you should actually care) myself was afraid of exactly what you thought, but watching the movie I could CLEARLY see it was a love letter to the OG Spidey as much as it was the origin for a new one. While I'm bothered that the city by the end seemed to have conveniently forgotten Peter died by the end, they ALL mourned him. We got to see Peter's exploits in glorious, heartwarming detail, got to see a wonderful, burgeoning father/son relationship with him and Miles, and got to see him kick ass. Only bad thing is that he didn't kick Fisk's ass.
Yeah, Miles is a blaring beacon for cuckfags to peddle and push their weird shit... but that's not how it actually is. He had a GOOD story in the movie, and his connection with Peter is so much better there. It was a story celebrating Peter Parker, Spider-Man, not denigrating him.
>I want Wolverine-verse with James Howlett meeting X23! You mean like what we got dozens of times before
Henry Foster
No, more like that Exiles issue where all the Wolverines group up and DoFP Logan takes lil' James under his wing and protects him. In this case we'd see that James again with Laura feeling the need to protect him. And Gabby would be there too, I guess.
Nathan Cooper
We saw two petes dead in two bitchy fasions and everyone important in his life forget him. I wouldn't mind miles as much if they ever attempted to quantify him in peters life but he's just there to end it. So his story isn't using whats there but tearing everything down to build himself. Little fucker is attached at the hip to peter now and there's no going back, I can accept that shit but at least cut gwen free from him. That pairing is from a time where editorial as doing nothing but pissing off the fans for click bait articles and it brings both of them down more than anything if he has to have a white love interest (in true bendis fashion) give him one, just make it a new one and not her
>Little fucker is attached at the hip to peter now and there's no going back I think he should be. It's a good progression to Peter being a teacher of the next generation like he was in the JMS run. Like the movie showed, he and Miles have a great dynamic... unlike in the comics. Spider-Men II was absolute dogshit.
>if he has to have a white love interest (in true bendis fashion) give him one, just make it a new one and not her This I'll give you. The Gwen pairing was unnecessary, and he did have a white love interest. Then once he was over in 616 he still had one in Bombshell. I don't particularly know if Bendis is doing it for brownie points or if that's his thing, and I don't particularly care either way. It's a choice that obviously causes a lot of clash amongst fans and they knew it from the getgo.
It's just one of those things - you don't have Bruce Wayne get with an (alternate) Lois Lane and Superman with an (alternate) Catwoman. It's like an unwritten meta brocode.
But the rest of what you said... man I don't even know. He's there to end Peter's story as much as Luke Skywalker is there to end Obi-Wan's. Which isn't at all. I don't want Pete's story to end, but like Luke, Miles is the culmination of his story. He's led a great life and inspired someone to take after HIM. He's a legend, a role model, and will be remembered. That's good shit.
But never actually attempting to write him in just means you end Pete for nothing. Miles has no motivation outside of peter not being there, yet was completely uninteresting on his own without Pete or even his father, honestly the multiverse aspect of spider verse was the worst part, it was just a massive excuse to not write characters and make as many toys based off of the single property as possible, they could’ve just made it a streamlined story with an older Pete wondering if he should have kids and being forced to train miles, learning that not only maybe he’d be a good dad but giving him a proper end, not just having the sinister six finally kill him after there thousandth team up. But as I said miles doesn’t want that, he wants the recognition of the name and nothing else. He’s contributed nothing to the story and now is in every piece of spider related media ragardless of context, Pete’s in high school with miles, Pete’s in college with a kid Miles Pete’s dead and irrelevant to set up miles. See how Miles adds nothing of his own to that overall story? He’s just spiderman because that name is already popular he doesn’t want to be his own man he wants to be instantly recognized for the great person he is regardless of his own contribution.
Brody Stewart
Lets limit it to only six Wolverines
Easton Perry
You and me both. But I like braces myself so I might be biased. Braceface corrupted me from a young age, along with Big Comfy Couch.
Hey, let it go on record that I don't care for comic Miles. They handled his shit worse than the clone saga because Ult. Pete got yanked off stage just when things were looking up (mentored by the shittiest Cap, but still Cap, and Iron Man, JJ paying his way through college, Fury as his protective... something, and him and Gwen together). They fucked it up, killed him, had him and Gwen break up in the lamest, most obvious pandering way to get him back with MJ to garner fan gibs, and then replaced him. It was awful.
There is a reason why nearly everyone agrees that Spider-Verse Miles and PS4 Miles are far better interpretations of the character. He works when he's connected to Peter, like a happier and not at all fucked up version of Terry and Bruce. Peter (in the movie and game) gives Miles as a character threads to strengthen his story, someone to rely on. Things Peter NEVER got to have. Someone to be there for him when times are tough, a father figure to pull his ass out of the fire when times are dire. If anything, the movie and game have shown a Miles that's the BEST interpretation of a legacy character because the person they're following was and IS a legend with a legacy worth continuing.
Alright, so, James, Laura, Gabby... No Daken, dude's weird. Jimmy from the ultimate universe? I get the feeling having too many kids of Logan's (I know he and Laura were supposed to be more like siblings, but hey) kind of muddles the message.
James being there eliminates the need for Jimmy, an experienced and untethered by centuries of tragedy Wolverine. Which other notable Logans are there? Old Man Logan is pretty weighed down with his own background, and DoFP Logan at the end of that Exiles issue got to retire happily on an island with his lost love.
>if anything the movie and the game have shown a Miles that’s the best interpretation
So the best interpretation of the character are two completely different interpretations that are nothing like the original? That’s the problem with him, no consistency just a vague idea that a black kid has to be partially responsible for peters death. Never letting him have kids or retire just kill him off when you find someone else. End a story because a name is needed not start your own story. Miles is an after thought in his own creation just a name to hang in front of a brown face to shove in front of a property that already makes money, in hopes of making more money that’s it
Sebastian Wright
>So the best interpretation of the character are two completely different interpretations that are nothing like the original Yeah, because the original is dogshit. It's just bad. Hopefully the alternate versions will usurp the original in terms of characterization.
>Miles is an after thought in his own creation just a name to hang in front of a brown face Dude, I don't fucking know about anyone else, but even back at his debut i knew he was just a publicity stunt. "First black spider-man", but no black person I ever knew ever gave a damn about Spider-Man being black or white. Me and them just liked Spider-Man, who was Peter.
It was unnecessary, yeah, but the movie and the game have taken that and made something much better out of it.
It made one movie that he was the center of alright, I can guarantee you it’s not going to be enough to justify the stream of shit Sony is going to push out under the spiderman brand because of it.

Miles is the most interesting thing that's happened to Spider-man in the past 10 years. 1610 Parker was a bowel of oatmeal and people are LYING if they're telling you any different. Ultimate Pete was the least interesting thing about his own book. He was way too similar to his 616 counter-part with the only thing different being his age. Everything around Parker was new and interesting like Aunt May's home for mutants, Jessica Drew being a female clone of Peter, Gwen and MJ switching personalities, The nature of S.H.E.I.L.D., J.J.J. turning over a new leaf after Ultimatum the list just goes on and on, But Parker was exactly the same. The only interesting thing that he did from his 616 version was die. It's more of a surprise that they didn't do it sooner.
Brody Rogers
And Miles continues that tradition by being the least interesting thing about everything he’s been a part of. I didn’t like the ultimate universe, the original arcs sucked and the remix of earlier arcs were normally less interesting than the originals. But as I said before Miles was only a part of that story for 3 fucking years what ever he was better than has been gone for a long while and shouldn’t come back for any other reason than to segregate Miles again. He has no purpose in 616 and there has never been any intention to write him in naturally so just let him be in his own little corner where you can do whatever the fuck you want with the spiderman name. He’s the epitome of have your cake and eat it to
James Green
SPIDER-VERSE 2 GUARANTEE MONEY MAKER: >Olivia Ocatvious gets her super collider working, making sure there's no hiccups >she's gone completely crazy now, trying once and all to finally kill every Spider-man in all the multiverse >she's been trying to find villains to help her, creating her own sinister six basically >early on she meets Kang, a time traveller who wants to get rid of super heroes as well >there they could have a deadpool 2 esque recruiting scene where they try go through a roll call of possible villains >end fight has a villain for each spider-man, ready to beat the shit out him
Now I'll tell you why it would work: >Dude just trust me >I want more of Olivia >kang is also cool >no seriously she's really fucking attractive >I don't want the lolicons to win if Peni is in the sequel >I'm never getting laid
I was thinking more like the comics, as in Wolverines from different earths, so no Laura or Gabby unless they're from alternate earths
As for other Wolverines there's Albert, Elsie Dee, Mangaverse Logan, Captain Logan, Zombie Wolverine, Dark Claw, Mr. Murderhands, Rancor and Wild Thing
Jack Campbell
The movie is up on Netflix right now. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it. Looks like they got it in 4k too.
In universe he splits the city patrol with Parker so both have more time for civilian activities. Dimensional trouble has both of them being the go to for each other.
In a meta sense Miles prevents Parker from being de-aged. He adds tension to Parker stories by being present. He provides an avenue for a graceful exit or a hiatus for Pete's spider-manning if he decided to start a family or got shaken to his core about some bullshit or another. Miles is also still the face of Multi-verse Spider-people.
His current run is still the best spider-book out right now barring "Life Story" which is honestly held more aloft by it's gimmick. Miles is easily the best among the on-goings
Honestly I prefer friendly neighborhood. Miles has had some good moments in his run but the tension in the first two arcs was deflated both times by the villains being revealed as being ineffectual white guys. Which hay I don’t mind some racism in the book but it would’ve been nice if they were anything more than mouth pieces and straw men for the write to push an agenda rather than write a story for miles (tbf the second arc was better at least it focued on Miles a bit)
Asher Adams
It’s good. Spectacular was the best though
Parker Harris
>Gwen and MJ switching personalities Wait what No doubt Ultimate Gwen was leagues above Ultimate MJ, but did they switch personalities or just switch which one of them was better for Peter? Because Ultimate Gwen was better.
As for Peter, you're both right and wrong that he was exactly the same as his counterpart. Given that part of the Ultimate run ran concurrent with JMS's run, the differences between main Peter and 1610 were night and fucking day. Main was a grown man and matured, and Bendis... writes an awful spider-Man. A very childish one.
That persisted through the run with Peter being less 'amazing' and more 'ultimately put upon'. The reason why the differences between the two lessened was because Slott's Peter was an immature manchild and Ultimate Peter never got the chance to mature. Given that he'd encountered everything main Peter did within nearly two years, he would have been far more matured by the time he grew up.
Take a page like this and see if you can find anything similar in the Ultimate run. I don't think you can.
1610 had a lot of chance for divergence in Peter's character because the fuckups and tragedies just kept coming. Gwen and her father's deaths, Harry's deaths, Peter's own clones deaths, Daredevil's deaths, the entire shit with his version of Eddie, his version of Carnage assuming the role of Gwen, being tortured and used as a fat check by the Kingpin, having his likeness stolen and sold before his very eyes, having a movie made about him and not getting paid a dime... the list goes on.
Instead Peter remained fairly milquetoast and static through it all instead of progressing and changing as a character. The kid would have become far, far different from his mainstream counterpart. But Bendis didn't do that because... I don't fucking know.
They switched personalities. Gwen was the outgoing party girl and MJ was the bookish steady girl. MJ was introduced first into the story, she brought a sense of normalcy to Parker's life, and she got thrown off a bridge. They swapped.
Dylan Morgan
Why did they make Peni and Gwen so sexy? Didn't they think about what would happen?
Jason Roberts
Tombstone isn't white my man.
Not sure how Snatcher is ineffectual either. His mutant ability is extremely dangerous considering he can wipe multiple people over a pretty decent distance.
Yeah and the moment he appeared on screen he was dealt with, wasn’t even a fucking fight. And the second one was that Egyptian themed ice guy.
Robert Jenkins
They knew sex sells and most of the shitters are too focused on games and comics to complain about cartoons so they could get away with it. Genius bastards.
The crew gets dumped into the SUPAIDAMAN universe alongside some of their wackier rogues/one-offs. Camp, hilarity and surprisingly brutal action ensue.
>They knew sex sells That wasn't the real purpose nor was their aim
Also, didn't this thread complained alot about Gwen's appearance before the movie's release? Because I remembers. Look what has changed right now
Jose Reed
>That wasn't the real purpose nor was their aim Do you have any sense of humor at all or do you just wall into a bar and get rid of all the buzz? Bees must hate you.
I don't know about this thread, but I doubt the same people ITT were the same people you saw. I do remember people compaining about whatever the fuck Gwen's haircut is called, but I always liked it over regular Spider-Gwen, myself.
Frost Pharaoh was a 2 page villain in the cool down issue between adventures. He didn't have whole issues of build up like Tombstone, Snatcher, or even Tomoe. He was just there to rob the museum, and to get some light action for the issue.
Yes as I said the only two original villains that Saladin has come up with were two ineffectual white guys there to straw man the political points in those issues. I have no problem with his racism conceptually hopefully the next villain he comes up with has a cool story on top of it being a woke one.
Cooper Flores
What political agenda does robbing a museum push? What racism? Even Snatcher was more about wealth and class than race.
The whole thing was about how white guts are always there to undeservedly push miles around, the principal is just an example of that and the frost guy was the metaphorical resolution to the story. As I said it’s no problem people are racist, it’s fine. Hell the first thing Saladin said when he got the book was he couldn’t wait to hear all the white guys bitching about a non white writing spiderman (though I don’t think he thought about it not being the actual spider-man)
Michael Harris
Don't they suffer some kind of molecular death when they spend too much time outside their own dimension? How could they make a marriage work?
Andrew Cook
What? The principal has a point, Miles is always late and falling asleep during classes. He has a reason to be suspicious of Morales activities. No idea what you're talking about with Saladin, feels like you're just talking out your ass with that one.
>he couldn’t wait to hear all the white guys bitching about a non white writing spiderman Who the fuck actually cares about who's writing Spidey (or a Spidey-related character) if it's a GOOD writer?
Also that entire concept of white guys pushing Miles around sounds really fucking stupid. Race politics. Again. Yay. That's something black comic book readers really care about.
A little bit, calling out oppression over a few idiots shit posting on Twitter is pretty sad. This place doesn’t shy away from racial banter yet normally comes out to support writers like Christopher priest and Dwayne McMuffin (rip) and I hate Reginald hudlin for his political and black panther run but I won’t deny that his small stint in MK spiderman was pretty good
Ian Robinson
Bantz was thrown in his corner, he threw bantz back. I don't see the problem. More entertaining than 'Nigga just close yer eyes, ha ha. Just walk away from the screen.'
>more entertaining than “Nigga just close yer eyes” Now that’s stupid, Saladin is just “clapping back” at unseen slights for the brownie points.
Love CDB's voice and he broke the mould as Noir Peter, but Keaton's CEO Peter stole the show for me. It's the perfect older Peter Parker voice. I'd love to have either of them voice pic related though.
I feel like with the sequel, they should bring in Mayday, and have her be Peter B's daughter. Either have Peter B. remain roughly the same age as he was at the end of the first Spider-Verse and express surprise at the fact his MUCH OLDER daughter is getting involved, or age him as well.
If, for whatever reason, they don't bring back Peni, I'd consider Mangaverse Spidey, or a variant thereof, as an acceptable substitute. It'd be neat to have them both in the same movie as well.
Plot Twist: in the movie, their version of Mangaverse Spidey would be Peni's father.
If we're feeling especially crazy, let's bring in the Jackal as a villain, and have him use Mile's Peter's corpse for some Clone Saga bullshit. That way, we can bring in a Ben Reily as Scarlet Spider, and a Jessica Drew as another Spider-Woman, along with a Kaine. Maybe. We don't have to have a Kaine, I think.
>This place doesn’t shy away from racial banter yet normally prfttt say anything about white people watch them whine disproportionately >ha ha white people don't like spicy food >WELL NIGGERS RAPE THEIR OWN BABIES WHILE THEY GET LYNCHED LIKE THE INSECTS THEY ARE like that's not banting that's just insecurely lashing out by people who identify with the white race because they can't be proud of identifying with themselves
I look forward to hearing about how the consummation went

I know people love Peter B Parker, but neither he or Blond Spider-Man feel like Spider-Man.
I'm late to the fucking party saying that, and I realize that but I have to wonder why they went that route with Peter.
Lucas Lee
Not a lot of dad/boomer Parker adaptations that's animated. We're always treated to pre-peak and peak Parker characters, which is more noticeable in video games. Peter B. and RiPeter are fresh takes on the character, but in relation to his family life, successes and failures.
Samuel Morgan
> Peter B. and RiPeter are fresh takes on the character, but in relation to his family life, successes and failures. But are they really? Either version seemed like an odd extreme that didn't fit Peter. More a commentary on Superheroes in general rather than Peter himself.
B.Parker was self destructive yes, but also just profoundly lacking the main way that he used to channel that self destruction and Blond was way too Batman and Superman in a way.
Am I just complaining that a Miles Morales vehicle didn't focus on Peter Parker?
Jaxson Richardson
B Parker both resonates with the elder millennial experience and works as a sort of reflection of the treatment of Peter Parker as a character over the past few decades. Like, the very concept of Spider-Man has become something that feels washed out, bumbling and directionless after all the post OMD crap in the comics, the Sony movies, the cartoons he's been in, all that. Like, Peter B embodies this feeling of "I used to love this character, but lately all they seem to do is fuck up and make stupid decisions" I dunno if that was intentional or not, but it was very cathartic to see a Peter Parker, thats struggling to do more than just go through the motions, regain his passion and take the first steps to becoming a character worthy of respect again
Jason Watson
It's up to personal tastes. I actually liked bum Parker because he was pessimistic and a Spidey we're not used to, but is fascinated by. At least they explored Peter B.'s life a bit. Financial failures and dead aunts did a number on him and his wife.
Brody Perez
As long as the sequel isn't about Spider-Totems, killing off interesting alternate Spider-Men for shock value and Inheritors, I'm good. FUCK comics-Spiderverse.
Would be neat if the antagonists were a bunch of evil Spider-Men. SpOck, Spiders-Man, Spider-Goblin, maybe a Spider-Man bonded to Carnage, a Spider-Man who's a clone that killed the original and took over his life, etc.
Also Supaidaman and Spider-Punk need to replace Peni and Pig.
Isaiah Phillips
I'm hoping the sequel will be a kinda Spider-Verse Vs The Sinister Six Hundred. The Spider-Verse book that came out after the event itself touched on the idea but it was pretty much entirely Electros and Doc Ocks and frankly squandered the idea
Caleb Wilson
They One shotted Captain Universe Spider-man. I'll never forget that fuckery.
Yea Forums made a spider-incel from a reverse marvel earth recently and it's pretty entertaining >Uncle Ben was a shitty uncle to him, gets killed in an accident >Goes columbine times ten on midtown after Flash Thundercock makes fun of him one too many times >ultimate cuck, gwen was a spy for norman, MJ's just fucking him for the money, and nobody wants his dick besides tumblrinas who want to honor their school shooter hero >Breaks people down slowly using remarks and shit, much like how 616 Peter jokes at villains to piss them off >Jameson always praises him, Spidey keeps on trying to get him to stop but it never works >Norman goes Batman on his ass using a Halloween costume he remembered he had >Radioactive spider laws being debated every day
god i want gwen to sit on my face and play with my dick with her feet, occasionally lifting her rump up to allow me to breathe and kiss me upside down with tongue before shloughmphing her ass back down

>god i want gwen to sit on my face and play with my dick with her feet Nigga get out of my head. We don't tolerate Jean Greys 'round these parts.
The writing is really strong, lots of great adaptations of classic stories and smart curveballs on what was contemporary. The actual production is terrible. Bad animation after S1, tons of reused CGI, terrible sound design, a lot of bad actors. It's honestly better to read the script while looking at pictures of the characters.
