It's the highest earning SPA film domestically and received enough endorsement deals to pay for the entire production budget plus a substantial portion of the advertising.

Or recouping 4x what you spent making the fucking thing. Is it now a thing that where if a movie doesn't make 1 Billion at least, it's a 'flop'?

It didn't flop, but if it didn't review as amazingly as it did, it was at risk to. Sony damaged the brand, and there was no MCU attachment.
