Some context for this. The last LM strip published in papers was , effectively ending on a cliffhanger. Cho switched to comics collecting what had been published in papers, plus some new strips here and there. This wedding album was published as a comic earlier on that would serve as a recap of the wedding arc and provide an ending to it, with the intention of continuing the story once all the newspaper material had been collected in comics. Issue 37 (the one you just read) was the first issue with entirely new material, but only served as an extension of the wedding arc. And once it came out, Cho, recently divorced and with child support payments to make, realized that the work he'd been doing on Liberty Meadows wasn't paying the bills and effectively axed it. This means that for better or for worse, what you're about to read is the end of Liberty Meadows.

A damn shame it ended as abruptly as it did, but at least we know Frank and Brandy finally got together. It's also a damn shame that we'll never see Brandy inevitably get pregnant, but I digress. Unpopular opinion: Frank didn't deserve Brandy. I know, he's the butt of the joke, but he never shows positive qualities and his impulse control gets progressively worse (being happily exploited by Jen). Roger is shown as caring, well-kept and connected, and with loyal friends. Cho barely managed to throw in a "Roger is in love with his work more than with Brandy" as a desperate attempt to prove that he's worse, but seriously, the only reason Frank wins is because the Script Says So and the loser nerd must win.

Let´s move this board complaiant thread upwards.
