Mommy issues along with hating their dads. In the comics Maria Stark was the only person who babies him/showed lovey dovey affection to him while his father Howard was a workaholic giving tough love. Pretty much any woman he genuinely cares for outside of a quick fuck are replacements for his mom in both demeanor and even looks as it was hinted she was a redhead before the MCU made her blonde.
Victor was a bastard who’s mom is literally a gypsy/Jew stereotype right out of Mein Kampf. She kidnaps kids to sacrifice to Cthon, poisons wells then sells the cure as the innocent old herbalist crone, and other black magic shit. She groomed Victor into believing he was an ubermensh via his father’s bloodline (though he despises his father for not being strong enough to give him a silver spoon in his mouth from birth) and he needed to make Latveria Great Again. However after his mom was killed and sent to hell several times over, he always goes back to being a mama’s boy to save her even though he knows she’ll just fuck it up again.
They’re both spoiled brat manchildren who never grew out of their 13 year old phase of hating their dads and wanting to fuck their moms.
