Arctic Dogs

Jesus Christ, their teeth are the stuff of nightmares. Well, that and their enormous heads and massive eyes. This is the actual official trailer, not the leaked one from a month back.

Also, that odd cut when Alec Baldwin says he's an arctic fox? He was originally a red fox. He probably just phoned that correction in after they changed his species.

Its probably a line they put in by cutting in audio from a different scene. It could very well be multiple different clips to make the entire line.

If it was ADR it might have been bwtter sounding.

Jeremy Renner apparently recorded a number of songs for this movie. It's not a musical, but it does have musical numbers.

Can someone say another animation flop this year. I don't think that girl will even be lewded to save it like what happened to Rock Dog
I do like the white dog changes clothes though instead of being in one thing the entire time

another animation flop this year.

at least we got three girls from this movie:

vixen, wolvess and.. trans deer?

The bear remind me of Norm of the North. Is it made by the same studio?

I want to know what formula, or schooling, or general guidance writers have when they make movies like this. Is there some storytelling education that specializes in bland, formulaic plots to be as innocuous as possible while driving home some ham-fisted agenda in some underdog teen way? Did stories like this exist before the 80s?

And then there's the cartoonishly villainous strawman that's not even a strawman. If they're going to go all out and make the villain so literal, he should be trying to hire local townsfolk to refine his oil, or whatever "rare magic fire stuff" he's trying to extract from the ground.

they switched spieces of the protagonist and his love interest

No. This is AIC's first animated movie.

That doe's got antlers... if-if you catch my drift

They also got Heidi Klum to voice the otter girl as well, which is why she didn't get listed at the end of the trailer. She's double dipping.

>is the movie industry purposefully churning out low effort scripts in order to keep products and revenue coming as steadily as possible, because growth must always be perpetual?
I'd say yes

formula isn't bad,but the execution, if that's their first movie they probably want to play it as safe as possible so someone will distribute their movie

i agree the villain needs better motivation, unless it's a cover up for something more sinister

>“This movie will be Pixar or Disney quality,”

woah, woah, at least say "almost"

If you want people to care for something, might as well not pretend to be the cool kid and not liking a thing.

>june 2014
>which will be ready in 18 months
Seriously, how long have they been sitting on this movie? Open Road held the rights but they went bankrupt. I remember seeing people post this shit in the Zootopia and Rock Dog threads.

Are you sure?

Honestly, her design in the movie is the only decent one, since her proportions aren't completely fucking bonkers. Her head and eyes naturally fit her body.

She'll be the one people draw the most of.

oh he has a real motivation, the villain i mean

mmm, fresh donuts

It's still strange how a simple 2D sketch has more of an impact than a finished scene in a multimillion dollar movie.

Completely imported, since nothing grows on ice.

I actually enjoyed Rock Dog but too late, and before it kinda flew under radar, that's probably why it flopped in the first place.
Also the designs aren't too bad, especially the sled dog yeah, so there will be lewds.

yes, the ingredients are imported

>now turn these into generic cgi objects

If people really want to try to convince me that "drawing is harder than writing", why the fuck are these horrible movies always filled to the brim with great concept art? Even Emoji Movie had amazing technical artists working on it.

You need producers and directors who care.

Not for too high of standards. I just see this going completely unnoticed

The teeth look fine

China corporate fights really made it fuck up there
Here it was too generic

>Did stories like this exist before the 80s?
I mean, the Tortoise and the Hare is kind of ancient.

huh. zootopia of the north.

I could see several
The two girls and the main guy being the most likely. You don't know what will catch on

I'm glad the protagonist is white, not enough of these these days

>"that smell....like the planet made a poopy"
if that character was established as a recent father, I can see that line being ok. but that line is biting my knuckle cringe.

At least they spared us the farting sound from previous trailers
